Bright + Colorful D.C. Bridal Shower
If your idea of the perfect springtime soiree involves sunshine, cocktails and donuts then look no further because Cheers Darling Events has made your dreams a reality. Marrying pink refreshments, blooms, and a pastry fueled brunch, this colorful shower is feminine yet fun. From brightly hued accents to the hand-painted cake a la Buttercream Bakeshop, Megan Chase Photography has it all waiting for you in the gallery!
From Kaitlin Przezdziecki of Cheers Darling Events... Living in DC, nothing makes us happier than a terrace cocktail as soon as the weather warms up! We drew our inspiration from our "sunshine in our face and champagne brunch" love for a bridal shower styled shoot.
For the colors, we selected bright pinks, greens, oranges and a pop of gold (calligraphy) to celebrate the warm weather and the bride-to-be! Highway to Hill brought the color palette to life with two fluffy arrangements for the table. In contrast to the metallic tables and brick terrace at Iron Gate Restaurant, the flowers brightened the entire space up! We added feminine and cheerful touches to the shower with hand-painted cakes from Buttercream Bakeshop and oversized yellow balloons. We love anything that makes a bright statement and draws attention to our guest of honor.
Our favorite detail? Our "bridal ask"; the bridesmaids lifted their doughnuts to reveal "will you be my bridesmaid"! We love the idea of asking your closest girlfriends to be a part of your day with a sweet treat -- and who doesn't love doughnuts?! Instead of traditional flavors, the ladies snacked on Nutella and Carrot Cake doughnuts from Astro Doughnuts.
As a favor to each bridesmaid, all the ladies left with customized stemless champagne flutes - we love the classic look of each guests name handwritten on the glasses. We had so much fun laughing and styling with Megan Chase Photography (it is so great to have friends who make such beautiful models!)
