Get to know Theresa Walker Makeup Artist:
I have had an obsession with makeup and making people feel beautiful my whole life, starting when I was a young performer. Learning to do my makeup at a young age, before the dawn of YouTube tutorials, I began working on friends & family for fun and, not long after, for events and then engagements & weddings.
I decided, after graduating from
college, to take my passion and turn it into a business. I was trained and certified in makeup artistry at Make-up Designory in SoHo, New York City. With over 16 years of professional experience in the wedding industry, I average about 40 weddings a year. When time permits, I also do engagement shoots, proms, theatricals, print work and event makeup. I have received The Knot Best of Weddings Vendor Award 6 consecutive years in a row, subsequently earning me The Knot Hall of Fame Award for outstanding mastery & professionalism as a makeup artist vendor in the wedding industry
I specialize in cutting edge airbrush makeup technology for a flawless high-definition application, which is the ideal makeup for a picture perfect look in photography and on film. My bridal makeup style tends to be natural, ethereal, with a focus on bringing to the forefront that inexplicable dewy glow that all blushing brides possess! While I mainly serve the Central Pennsylvania area - think Lancaster, Lititz, Lebanon, Harrisburg, York, Mechanicsburg - I will travel for a few destination weddings a year, so if you’re off to a tropical oasis or a mountainside retreat for your wedding, feel free to inquire, as I will travel!
