Central Texas photographer Raquel Davidowitz captures once-in-a-lifetime events for romantic couples through her artistic lens and with lots of love, so you can preserve the most important moments of your life with magazine-worthy imagery. Even as a kid, I loved photography, taking pictures with disposable cameras as often as I could. Then - in my mid-20s - my husband gifted me a Canon point-and-shoot, and I embarked on a journey, one that would take my photography to the next level. While I knew next to nothing about professional photography, it captivated me. I was enamored with Annie Leibowitz and her dramatic, posed portraiture, but I also felt especially drawn to photography that blurred the lines between reality and fantasy. The influence from these photographers remains a foundation for all my work. Filled with confidence and techniques from completing the course, I decided to recreate a picture I saw in a fashion magazine (with my friend as the subject.) The resulting image made me want to jump up and down with joy, and I continue to feel the same way every time I'm behind the camera. Because I believe every photo tells a story, my work is filled with natural light and candid moments - the kind that you that will hold your story for future generations.
