About

Built circa 1790 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, our rich history is what makes our white Greek Revival farmhouse a local legend. Serving as a prominent private residence until 2015, the home also served as a stagecoach stop, and is rumored to be a resting place for George Washington during his visit to Lee's Tavern. Hartley House is perfect for couples looking for a combination of indoor and outdoor event space. Our indoor parlors are ideal for catering display, cake, reception seating or cocktail hour. Take your dinner and dancing outside to our newly renovated reception site offering over 3,200 sq. ft. of hardscaping covered by a 40’x80’ white frame tent adorned with warm white market lighting. Our beautifully manicured landscape is complete with magnolias, live oaks, camellias and seasonal florals. The side lawn is home to our courtyard fountain and crape myrtles, making it an ideal location for an outdoor ceremony year-round.
