Our Story
Founded in 2008 by Gwenaelle “Gwen” Grosset, Destination Weddings Tulum is the result of a love story all its own. Originally from France, Gwen came to Mexico seeking new horizons, and found herself captivated by the wild beauty, energy, and soul of Tulum. With a background in engineering and event planning, and a strong eye for detail and design, she quickly saw the potential to create something different—something meaningful.
What began as a small operation designing intimate weddings on the beach grew into one of the region’s most respected planning agencies. Today, Destination Weddings Tulum is recognized for its signature approach: celebrations that feel intimate yet grand, grounded yet elevated, natural yet incredibly refined.
With more than 15 years of hands-on experience, Gwen and her team bring unmatched expertise, deep local knowledge, and an unwavering commitment to quality and care.
Our Philosophy
At the core of everything we do is intention.
To us, intention means that every flower has a purpose, every candle is placed with meaning, and every element—from color palette to guest experience—is curated to feel personal, seamless, and deeply you. We don’t just plan weddings; we craft atmospheres. We tell stories. And we hold space for moments that truly matter.
Our work is also grounded in a sense of place. We work with local artisans, chefs, florists, and musicians who bring the spirit of Mexico to life in every detail. Whether we’re sourcing handmade textiles, designing with native florals, or incorporating cultural rituals like Mayan blessings, our goal is to create a celebration that feels both authentic and elevated.
We also care deeply about sustainability and community. Many of our décor elements are handcrafted in Mexico and reused with intention. We focus on high-quality materials, timeless design, and long-term relationships with ethical partners across the region.
