Sheryl Miller Hosey, CFD, Owner Celebrate living life in full bloom with Bucks County Blooms! My name is Sheryl Miller Hosey, and I am the founder of this floral design business based in the heart of Bucks County, PA. For years I nurtured my passion for creating floral design through various courses, but I never pursued it professionally. As a busy secondary English teacher with a passion for teaching, my focus has been on literature, particularly the works of Shakespeare and nurturing young minds through writing. However, my love for flowers has always been a constant in my life. At one point, I even maintained a rose garden with over 75 varieties! When the opportunity arose to combine my two passions— flowers and teaching— I couldn’t resist. That’s when I joined forces with Alice’s Table and established Bucks County Blooms. Little did I know that the challenges brought by the pandemic would become the catalyst for our growth. I expanded my business and really blossomed (pun intended). I decided to pursue my formal floral design education by attending classes at Bucks County Community College, home to one of the best floral design programs in the country. In 2023, I proudly earned a Certificate in Floral Design from the college and earned the coveted designation Certified Floral Designer from the American Institute of Floral Design. I even earned third place at their annual design competition! With each passing day, our business continues to bloom! Each year we participate in the Philadelphia Flower Show by creating flower crowns for patrons to wear during the show and beyond. Sales serve as a fundraiser for the Philadelphia Horticulture Society. Attending the AIFD (American Institute of Floral Design) Symposium each year allows for further education, meeting floral super stars, and gaining great inspiration from the hundreds of designers who attend from all over the world. At Bucks County Blooms we offer a range of services to help a bride bring her wedding flower dreams to reality. We take joy in guiding brides through their floral journey, whether it’s by creating bespoke designs for the entire wedding from the rehearsal dinner to the ceremony and reception or teaching them the art of DIY wedding florals. My team absolutely LOVES to do wedding florals, and we look forward to working with wedding budgets of all sizes.
