Amy Kolo Photography is an East Coast based wedding photographer. She resides outside of Charlotte, NC with her family.

Neither of us are very familiar (or comfortable for that matter) in front of the camera, but from the very first time we met Amy for our engagement photos we were put at ease. She gave just enough instruction that posing wasn’t uncomfortable, but really allowed us to be ourselves so she could capture real, raw photos. I also took my bridal portraits with her which was the real testament of comfort —3 hours outside in the springtime heat in my huge wedding gown with full hair and makeup flew by as Amy whisked me around seamlessly switching from film to digital capturing beautiful portraits and action shots.
On wedding day she showed up with her day-of team all lovely and just as professional and comforting as Amy. We had an amazing photography experience and the icing on top was getting back our highlight gallery filled with incredible pictures. Amy was an absolute DREAM to work with for my wedding. Our pictures turned out stunning, there was not a single moment or glance that was not captured. It was the perfect mix of documentary style authenticity and the timeless and clean posed photos that we all want to hold onto forever. My husband and I are not great in front of cameras, but Amy did a great job of making us feel comfortable and natural. We were able to have our intimate moments that felt like just him and I while still having her capture them so beautifully. Amy captured so many beautiful photos and honestly, taking pictures with my husband after our first look was one of my favorite parts of the day. I never knew taking photos could be so fun!
