Rustic Wedding at Thistle Springs Ranch
When a couple this crafty comes along, it's guaranteed that their wedding will be filled with plenty of personality. Everything from the bouquets to the cakes stands were a labor of love and Jessica Lauren Photography was there to capture every DIY'ed detail. With the help of Alluring Events by Design, they created a memorable day filled with Southern flair that is evident in the fun filled gallery here.
From The Bride..Jeff and I defined the phrase "Do It Yourself" for our wedding. From the cupcake stand to my bouquet, we wanted to put our touch on as much as possible. As the Bride, I am into all things shabby chic and was on a mission to find all of the perfect pieces to make our day special. I went all out and completely planned the whole day from beginning to end.
When we were on the hunt for a venue I happened across Thistle Springs Ranch. At the time they were still building the barn, but I knew that this would be the place where we would exchange vows. After seeing the barn finished, all of the other elements fell into place.
Jeff and I both graduated from Texas Tech University, so we wanted to incorporate the Red Raiders into our wedding day. The grooms cake had a Double T on top of it and everyone sang the Texas Tech fight song at the end of the reception.
We put a lot of work into making our wedding day perfect. Everything was a DIY project including all of the signage, dessert stands, banners, bouquet, painted mason jars, place cards, and even the moss letters were our labor of love.
