This next set of pictures from Bonnie and Trevor’s Nashville wedding is pure deliciousness. They look like they are right out of some fabulous movie…

The entire wedding just seems so alive, so completely down to earth. Here are a few more details from Bonnie…
At the reception we really used the farm aesthetic, but in an elegant way. There were long tables in the tent which were topped with burlap. Down the tables were a mix of peonies and dahlias in various silver julep cups mixed in with chicken feeders, with wheat grass growing out of them. Everyone feasted on a big southern supper – chicken croquettes, green beans, cheese grits and bbq in corn meal crepes – just to give you a taste.
We danced the night away then pulled away on the hay wagon as guests waved sparklers!
Stay tuned to hear about Bonnie’s gorgeous invitations…that she designed herself!

If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a hundred times…it’s ALL in the details! Bonnie did such a fabulous job at bringing a bright, colorful palette together into a cohesive and lovely look. She incorporated the horseshoe to perfection and brought along the lovely Southern touches with a sense of charm and sophistication.

If you are just now popping in, we are featuring Bonnie and Trevor’s lovely, lovely, lovely Southern inspired wedding. Bonnie brought such sweet, approachable details into her wedding…from handmade invitations to custom built signs, the whole day was a reflection of this ridiculously cute couple.
All of the photographs from this wedding were captured by Mary Claire Crow, who Bonnie just raved about. The next set of pictures from this wedding is my absolute favorite so you definitely have to come back and check it out.
Oh…and if you haven’t already, you HAVE to head over to the Little Black Book Blog today, as we are featuring the prettiest wedding shots by Paul Rich. The bride talks about how SMP inspired her to design a wedding that really represented her and her fiance…love that!

From the bride, Bonnie…
Everyone arrived to bluegrass music from some local musicians and the ceremony was held in a grassy area behind the house. After the ceremony guests gathered at the back bar (an old wagon we covered with wood & ticking) for some champagne or a pimm’s cup (a staple cocktail in our house!). Then everyone walked up the lane to the barn for the reception. We have horses on the farm and my father really wanted to use them so my husband and I rode up in a horse drawn wagon while the bridal party rode on the hay wagon.
So much more to come!

I don’t talk much about myself here on SMP…I am so enamored with all of the stuff that you guys are doing, I tend to leave myself out of the mix. You guys know that I just had a little girl, Audrey. That I live in Boston. That I have the best job in the world. But, another little piece of my soul, that really helped to form who I am today…are the four years that I spent in Nashville, Tennessee going to college.
So of course, anytime I see a Nashville wedding, I am taken right back to those incredibly blissful days, where I just had to wake up in the morning to see my best girl friends, where we sat on a porch drinking lemonade (okay, not really lemonade but it sounds a little better that way), wasting the day away in the lazy Summer sun.
Today’s featured wedding is so wonderfully Southern, so perfectly Nashville. I just had to share!

From Bonnie, the gorgeous bride…
I got married in May on my parents farm where I grew up. We really wanted a creative & festive, southern affair with lots of personality. Plus I am a graphic designer so I designed the invitations and other details (more on the invitations in a bit).
Guests drove up the driveway greeted by “burma-shave” signs. My mother’s friend is an artist and created them for us – they were a huge hit! There were 6 signs…”Winding Road, Fresh Green Grass, Musicians Play, Oh Happy Day, To Wedding Vows, That Last”
more to come!
