This Classic Garden Wedding Will Leave You Feeling Green With Envy

This timeless wedding at The Club at Mediterra will have you feeling “green with envy” (in the best way possible)! With a green and white color palette, Jet Wed Set created a picturesque wedding day for Katie & Colin, inspired by the lush villas of Italy. The overall feel of the celebration drew upon earthy tones and textures (think rich, velvety linens) that accentuated classic romance. Kaleidoscope Floral created attention-grabbing floral arrangements, featuring bright white blooms while touches of greenery elevated the ambiance with an air of organic luxury. Dare to be a little jealous of the full gallery, captured by Hunter Ryan, and the video by iheART Films.

From the photographer… Drawing inspiration from lush Italian villas and their own personal home style, this wedding design will have you “green with envy” – in the absolute best way! Shades of green went with the earthy, natural feel of the day from the rich velvety linens to the satin Revelry bridesmaid gowns.

From the Bride… We picked our venue and did a destination to Naples, Florida because it is a spot my family has gone our whole lives – it is like a second home. Colin and I have been visiting since early on in our 8year relationship and it’s a place we come to decompress and relax.

We wanted the day to have a classic, natural, and romantic feel. Originally, we were describing it like going through Italy, and we picked a lot of the decor in a way to transform a standard ballroom so you didn’t feel like you were in a ballroom. Kehrin of JetSetWed was huge in helping bring it to life so it still matched our style by pulling in inspiration from our styles and our home.

One of my favorite moments of the wedding was after the ceremony and before the reception started- we invited bridal party, their dates and families into the ballroom for a pre party! As they walked in Colin and I were dancing on an empty dance floor in a beautifully converted ballroom that took me back to Italy, dancing to the band where then all of our favorite people danced. It was such a special moment to have that mini dance party where we could hug and laugh after such an emotional moment! Then the rest of the guests were invited in as we danced and they joined us on the dance floor immediate before dinner. Really set the tone for the day.

Here’s Why We’re Obsessed With the Oversized Bow Fashion Trend!

If you ask us, the bigger the bow, the better! Bows in general continue to make their appearance in the wedding world from fashion to place settings and today’s editorial captured by Olivia Marshall Photography is full of them and we couldn’t be more in love. Montalvo Arts Center was the backdrop for the day, planned by Meag Breanne Events which showcased a color palette of soft blues, apricots, and creams and fun florals by Muse Floral Co. The model bride wore not one, but two Luciana Emilia dresses each with a statement bow, which inspired the entire shoot! So, there is only one statement left to be said…add some bow details to your special day – you won’t regret it!

The inspiration for this wedding editorial came from the beautiful oversized bows on Luciana Emilia’s custom designed gowns and the stunning exterior of Villa Montalvo. We wanted to carry bow details throughout the entire shoot so we included them on the cake, the bride’s shoes, one at each place setting, and a bowtie for our groom.

The velvet blue table linen, symbolizing “something blue”, and the florals, especially the luscious cafe au lait dahlias, really brought the color palette of peaches, apricots, and creams to life! Our bride wore two custom gowns by Luciana Emilia, one of her classic one shoulder long gowns, complete with an oversized bow on the back.

And for a fun second look, we chose one of her brand new short cocktail dresses and a fun pair of Bella Bella Shoes! We love a good champagne tower and wanted to put a new twist on ours which featured a pink rosé.

Our mission with the overall design was to inspire newly engaged couples and show them that they can have fun with color and still have a classic and timeless wedding!

This Classic Chicago Wedding Is Filled With Elegance and Sophistication

Chic, cool, and totally timeless- this classic Chicago wedding is a must see.  Coordinated by K & K Celebrates and designed by Frost Chicago, this dreamy day at The Old Post Office is filled with wow moments.  From a lush bridal bouquet to hanging flowers that dazzled as guests entered the reception space, blooms by Vale Of Enna were the exclamation point of the affair.  Each moment was elegantly captured in time in the imagery by Bonphotage, visit the full gallery for a closer look.

From K & K CelebratesTess and Eric met in New York. It took moving to New York to find each other even though they are both from the suburbs of Chicago! Tess dreamed of having their ceremony at ST. MICHAEL’S OLD TOWN in Chicago, IL as it’s the same church her parents and grandparents got married at as well! Tess and Eric’s wedding date is very close to the the anniversary of the brides parents which is why they chose their wedding date of June 25th! To celebrate, the reception had a special moment for the parents of the bride on the dance floor! The bride also wore her grandmother’s necklace during the ceremony making it truly special and sentimental. The reception took place at The Old Post Office, a historical landmark in Chicago! Tess and Eric were very thoughtful about the experience their guests would have and knew The Old Post Office would be a treat for everyone! Guests headed upstairs for cocktail hour and were able to enjoy the modern lounge with great conversations along the wrap around bar. They could also enjoy the couple’s signature His and Her drinks: Eric-Bud Light, Tess-Espresso Martini. The reception took place in the Historic Lobby which stuns in it’s Art Deco design. Continuing with the gold leaf ceiling and brass throughout the Historic Lobby, the decor continued to include brass and gold throughout the design. With the grand ceiling height, tall center pieces and candles were definitely able to make a wow factor. The decor was complete with breathtaking hanging florals that left everyone in awe as they walked into the reception room. Tess and Eric opted for a champagne tower but Tess made it more special for Eric by making it a “beer” tower! After the beer was poured, the wedding party came up to join them and grabbed a glass! The bride included a second look for reception that perfectly coordinated with her ceremony gown by Elizabeth Fillmore Bridal. The dance floor was fantastic all night long, Tess and Eric were at the center of it all! Everyone’s hearts were tugged when Tess’s grandpa grabbed the microphone and sang “My Way” by Frank Sinatra and surrounded him as he took center stage. Dancing ending with Tess and Eric on guests shoulders during their last song “Time of my Life” but the party continued back upstairs for an after party for more espresso martinis and pizza!

From the bride… While Eric and I grew up about 20 minutes from each other in the suburbs of Chicago, we weren’t introduced until he moved to New York in 2016. I had been living there for two years when my cousin — who went to high school with Eric — reached out to ask if I could show his friend around. Six months of fun, friendly meet-ups passed, and in the fall of 2016, the Cubs were in the World Series. We’re both from big baseball families, and we watched the playoffs together in bars across New York City. November 2016 saw a historic Cubs win… And our first date at Brooklyn Brewery. He had apparently asked my cousin for his blessing back in August, and I had no idea! Five years later we made the decision to move back to Chicago, where Eric proposed. When we began planning our wedding, we knew we wanted it to be both a nod to our New York relationship roots, and our family history in Chicago.

Being the youngest of four siblings, with a huge Italian family of many cousins, aunts, and uncles, it was important to me to honor our family traditions while still finding ways to make the wedding feel special to Eric and me. Our ceremony took place at ST. MICHAEL’S OLD TOWN, the same church where my parents, brothers, and grandparents married, as well as where my grandfather was an altar server when he was growing up. To make it our own, we opted to write our own vows in addition to the church vows, which became my favorite moment of the day (Eric had the whole room in tears). We host friends quite a bit, so we wanted our cocktail hour and dinner service to reflect that. I worked closely with our (incredible!) DJ, OKYNE MEDIA, to come up with a playlist and timeline that made guests feel like they were at a restaurant rather than a wedding, and the energy really reflected that all night. While our venue was stunning and elegant, we are a social, more casual couple, so having lounge seating, pool tables, and bocce ball at the cocktail party was very much our speed. Similarly, we made sure to honor the beauty of the Old Post Office’s Historic Lobby by keeping decor to a minimum, but added candles and statement florals to warm up the room. The highlight was our Bud Light champagne tower, which was a nod to Eric’s favorite drink of choice, in lieu of a wedding cake. Thanks to Al, our caterers, and our coordinators, the timeline ran smoothly so we could get to our favorite part of every wedding: the dance floor. We have many family traditions on the dance floor, from my grandpa’s serenade of “My Way” to our crazy, chaotic dance to “That’s Amore,” and it was so special to not only share with Eric’s family, but our friends across NYC and Chicago. When “Empire State of Mind” came on, our whole NYC crew joined in, and I don’t think we left the dance floor once. Our family and friends really showed up for us and we felt all the love in the room on our wedding day!

Pops Of Pink And Blue Make This The Dreamiest Summer Wedding

With both mountain and water views, Lake George was the perfect place for Alexandra and Arran to tie the knot. Jillian with Elle Ellinghaus perfectly planned the day with a punchy color palette of bright pink and blue.  You’ll love all the exciting ways Samantha Nass Floral Design used flowers to create artful moments throughout the event.  Get ready to fall in love with every incredible image elegantly shot by Audra Wrisley Photography in the full gallery.  Trust us you won’t want to miss it.

From the bride… Alexandra and Arran met in their first year of medical school at Dartmouth. They were in the same “on doctoring” group and met during a team building exercise during their orientation week. They bonded over their love of tennis and competitive spirits. Three years later, Arran proposed at beautiful Storr’s Pond where they met for the first time.

For their wedding venue, Arran wanted a view of the water, while Alexandra wanted a view of the mountains, so Lake George was the perfect spot! They graduated from medical school two weeks before their wedding and are now doctors in NYC. For Alexandra & Arran’s beautiful destination wedding on Lake George, they wanted to keep things summery and joyful, keeping the emphasis on the beautiful waterfront views.

Opting for blues tones in the design, planner Jillian with Elle Ellinghaus  together with the bride’s mom Madeleine chose beautiful blue silk bridesmaid dresses, blue & white toile linens and ginger jars with accents of pink for a pop of summer color in the mix. The result was perfection- classic, preppy and fun, the perfect background for Alexandra & Arran’s beautiful day to celebrate!

Think You’ve Already Seen Every Engagement Ring Out There? Think Again

Is it an heirloom piece? No…but it will be. Kristin Coffin’s unique line of engagement rings puts a modern spin on old-world glamour and will have complete strangers stopping you in your tracks to ask, “Where did you get your ring?”. Hand-made right here in the USA and known for her alternative stone choices, Kristin Coffin’s rings are as ethical as they are beautiful.

More and more couples are leaning away from traditional diamond engagement rings for a few different reasons. Since the unethical conditions surrounding the mining of some diamonds have become public knowledge, there has been a push to find ethical sources and alternatives to the world’s most coveted stone and Kristin Coffin has some of the most unique options we’ve ever seen! In addition to lab-grown diamonds, Kristin Coffin uses moissanite and sapphires in her handcrafted engagement rings and wedding bands. Another great reason to invest in a ring with a diamond alternative is that you can get way more bang for your buck! So, with Kristin Coffin, go ahead and treat yourself to a few additional carats–because you can.

Spice Things Up

While these diamond alternatives do come in white, we are also seeing a lot more color when it comes to engagement rings. Always ahead of the trends, Kristin Coffin was the first jewelry line to use grey moissanite in their engagement rings. From champagne and peach to blue and teal, their collection has every color you can imagine. We love a salt and pepper engagement ring! Flecks of gunmetal grey and silver add an unexpected depth to some of your favorite cuts.

Which Stone Speaks To You?

Moissanite

This unrivaled ethical alternative surpasses the fire and sparkle of diamonds! If you’re into a more traditional look, white Moissanite is so brilliant, it practically glows. But, if you’re looking for something a little more unique, the deep slate color of grey Moissanite is absolutely stunning.

Sapphire

Blue sapphires are no stranger to engagement rings, in fact, some of your favorite celebs may be rocking this stone–Kate Middleton, Victoria Beckham, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Penélope Cruz to name a few. But, did you know that sapphires also come in peach? Neither did we! And it’s gorgeous. This pretty peach stone in a rose gold setting, well it doesn’t get more SMP than that and we’re obsessed!

Lab-Grown Diamond

If you’ve always dreamed of having a diamond engagement ring but were struggling to find an ethical alternative, then lab-grown is definitely the way to go. Lab-grown diamonds are REAL diamonds, they are just created in a lab, unlike mined stones which are naturally occurring. That’s it, that’s the only difference!

Salt & Pepper Diamond

Like wearing a tiny galaxy on your finger, salt and pepper diamonds are our new obsession! Ranging in color from platinum to borderline black, these unique stones are sure to turn heads. And, no two stones are alike–with Kristin Coffin’s build your own option you can pick the stone that speaks to you.

Make A Statement

Pulling inspo from vintage pieces and nature, Kristin’s designs are truly what sets these rings apart from your average engagement ring. We are particularly infatuated with her signature starburst diamond halos, because why just have one stone when you could have a bunch? With a ton of design options, each of Kristin Coffin’s rings is truly one-of-a-kind. You can select your metal (all of which are ethically sourced and recycled BTW), band style, and with the build your own option, you can even select the exact stone you want. Kristin also offers consultations and can create a completely custom design just for you!

A Classic Wedding With a Tropical Twist at the Ritz Carlton in Sarasota

As a Florida native, the bride’s “Old Florida” wedding theme was the perfect fit for their Fall fête at the Ritz Carlton in Sarasota – planned by Choreographed Events! From the woven light installation at their tented reception, to the larger-than-life tropical arrangements by Tailored Twig – this sun soaked wedding day is chockfull of bright ideas for a coastal wedding done right, be sure to check out the full gallery captured by Hunter Ryan Photo for all the pretty.

From the bride… Andrew and I met and still live in Washington, DC which has no shortage of beautiful wedding venues, but when it came to planning our own, Florida was one of the easiest decisions we made together.

I’m a Central Florida native but have been visiting the west coast for over 10 years, spending as much time as I could at my family’s home on Longboat Key.

Since the start of the pandemic, my fiance and I were able to take advantage of our flexible/remote work environments and spent months at a time on Longboat Key. It was such a special time for us in the early stages of our engagement to spend quality time with family. Late afternoon sunset cruises on the boat weren’t too bad either – it was those evenings spent on the boat with the family dog, bobbing in the bay just through Longboat Pass, that gave us the inspiration for our custom watercolor invitations.

As soon as Andrew and I landed on an Old Florida themed reception, it took him all of about 5 minutes to decide he wanted to surprise our guests with a vintage get away car. I’m pretty sure he was almost as excited to ride in that car as he was to marry me

Of course as a native Floridian, I was so excited for the chance to show our family and friends what I consider to be one of the most beautiful places in the country. I knew Sarasota would appeal to guests looking for a relaxing beach vacation and to anyone looking for a fun night on the town.

I think like many girls, I’ve always fawned over my mom’s wedding dress: a long-sleeved, high neckline with the most incredible 80s-inspired shoulder pads. While it didn’t fit our wedding theme to wear her dress, I wanted to take inspiration from it while I worked with Melissa, my design consultant at Boca Bridal. It just so happened that the summer I was looking for a dress, Mira Zwillinger introduced their removable topper line of designs which meant I could create an ode to my mom’s cathedral-style ball gown for our church ceremony but have a cool, sleeveless look for our outdoor reception. And the applique we landed on was a perfect fit for our Old Florida themed reception.

While I’m originally from Florida, I spent a large part of my life in Dallas, TX with many of our guests flying in from that region as well. One of my favorite parts of Texas is their appreciation for good tequila! I’m pretty well known among my friends for my signature drink order (a Casamigos Ranch Water) and I thought serving that on a warm October night as our signature drink would hit the spot.

The French Riviera Comes Alive At This Chateau Saint George Inspiration Shoot

It’s time to fall in love with the French Riviera.  Filled with artful architecture and and a pastel color palette, this day coordinated by AMV Retreats and planned by AMV Weddings is overflowing with inspiration.  From an incredible ceremony installation to the chicest little bar cart, floral design by La Blonde et le Barbu Design makes the day even more magical. Every incredible image by Juliana Tomlinson Photography is lovelier than the last, get lost in all the beauty inside the full gallery.

From Juliana Tomlinson PhotographyOn the last week of July 2022, Amanda Virgo and her team organized a romantic and elegant Wedding Inspiration shoot at Chateau Saint-Georges to close their Summer AMV Retreat in the French Riviera. The Chateau, also known as Le Petit Versaille, is located on the top of the hills of Grasse, a Cote d’Azur town. This 7-plus acre property offers breathtaking views and gorgeous outdoor space for an alfresco wedding ceremony and reception. Its interior will leave you speechless as you walk through the grand salons, the Napoleon swimming pool, and the royal apartments. The walls are real pieces of art themselves. Hand-painted with real gold, this venue once welcomed Queen Victoria as a guest and now helps couples from around the world to feel like royals as they say I do in one of the most beautiful and renowned chateaus on the French Riviera.

With the Le Petit Versaille in mind, Amanda was inspired by the gold and yellow so beautifully displayed around the chateau. La Blonde et le Barbu Design brought the vision to life by installing a lavish floral arrangement on the Chateau’s gazebo. The yellow and soft cream-colored roses tied the ceremony location perfectly to the rich gold decor of the reception room inside the chateau. For the ceremony, our bride wore a romantic, ethereal off-shoulder white dress with puff sleeves designed by Katie Yeung from Hera Couture. This trendy look, which you can find at Vivienne Paris Bride, was the perfect addition to the romantic European atmosphere of the ceremony space.

For the reception, the bride wore a Madebride by Antonea and left everyone speechless with her embroidered long sleeve gown. To set the mood as a happy, joyful French Riviera dream-come-true wedding experience, Amanda decorated a champagne cart with beautiful roses and crystal champagne glasses. Of course, a toast was involved! This entire inspiration shoot was carefully designed by AMV Weddings and beautifully executed by a very talented team of creators. Please find below the names of all responsible to bring this inspiration to life.

A Colorful Summer Wedding in The North Carolina Mountains with The Couples Golden Retriever as the “Dog of Honor”

This pretty pop-of-color wedding is sure to make you smile.  Filled with a bright color palette of blooms by Spring Vine, sweet sips, and the couple’s adorable dog- Wren and Chick planned a day that delights at every turn. The joy of the day radiates through the imagery captured by McSween Photography, you’ll fall in love with every darling detail inside the full gallery.

From McSween PhotographyCaroline and Evan met during their freshman year at UNC-Chapel Hill and began dating the next year as Sophomores. Caroline texted him “Hey, I’m single. Want to get dinner?” It’s okay … You can laugh. Looking back now that pretty much sums up their entire relationship. In August of 2019, Evan lost his twin brother Michael in a skateboarding accident. Every day after that was a struggle waking up and dealing with the loss. Then just two months later in October of 2019 Caroline’s brother, Drew passed away. Evan was with Caroline as she spoke in front of 400+ people at her brother’s funeral. In those two months, they knew they were meant to be there for each other. Truly knowing what it means to love each other through the ups and downs. During their senior year of college, Caroline got a golden retriever named Holden. She started a bucket list for Holden at UNC-Chapel Hill and blogged about him, it went viral. He now has quite the following on Instagram.

Holden has been through so much with Caroline and Evan he was the dog of honor at their wedding, along with his sister Sophie. Evan proposed on a trip to Colorado in September 2020, they took sporadically between Caroline ending a job and starting a new job. On a hiking trip, Evan popped the question and of course, Caroline said, “yes!” The stars aligned for them to take the perfect trip and for the perfect proposal, much like Caroline and Evan’s relationship, perfect for each other. The inspiration for their wedding was the gorgeous North Carolina Mountains, pops of colorful summer blooms, and an amazing day with their friends and family. Caroline wore a gorgeous Eva Lendel gown with a plunging neckline and all her bridesmaids in the same shade of Show Me Your Mumu pink, in different styles.

Spring Vine did an amazing job with the perfect shades of summer florals. Caroline and Evan honored their pups by including them in their wedding ceremony, but also with an appearance on their wedding stationery, and their very own signature cocktails at the reception. Holden the Golden was also featured getting a little mischievous on the back of the cake. Evan and Caroline also honored their late brothers by including a charm of each of their photos on Evan’s boutonniere and Caroline’s Bouquet. The love these two emanated on their day was an incredible honor to witness and be able to capture.

Pink Poppies In Honor of the Bride’s Grandfather Inspired This Couple’s Virginia Estate Wedding

Pops of pink are as meaningful as they are pretty at this Virginia Estate wedding.  Our bride lovingly called her late grandfather Poppi”, so naturally poppies in artful arrangements by Olivera Floral Design were the perfect flower to fill this special day with.  Jamie Lynn Signature Weddings designed and planned the affair complete with an ombre champagne wall to welcome guests. Each photo by Madeline Trent is more enchanting than the last, see them all inside the full gallery.

From Madeline TrentThe whimsy and colorful shades of poppies laid the foundation for this vibrant pink-hued wedding in Virginia horse country. Emily and Christian met on Emily’s very first day of work after her college graduation. Fast forward over four years to a riverside engagement and Emily and Christian were married in front of 180 guests in a lush pink garden soirée nestled in the rural countryside of Virginia. Shades of pink and coral, inspired by the bride’s sentimental love of poppies, could be found incorporated throughout the wedding day from the bridesmaids’ dresses to the flower arrangements, linens and paper goods. The couple chose Dover Hall Estate, an English Tudor estate with rolling hills and stone terraces in Manakin-Sabot, Virginia, as their venue. Dover Hall Estate sits in close proximity to where Emily and Christian both grew up. Upon their first visit to the property, the couple was immediately attracted to the estate’s luxurious grounds and interior spaces. As self-proclaimed “foodies,” Christian and Emily also loved that Dover Hall Estate provides its own cuisine and bar, and is well known for its culinary experience. Turning onto the long estate driveway, visitors are greeted by sprawling vines of the estate’s Seven Lady Vineyards, which supplies a portion of the estate’s wine selection. Both project managers by nature and profession, Emily and Christian appreciate a close attention to details and logistics, and knew they wanted to hire an experienced planner to assist them with their wedding. When the couple first started planning with luxury event design firm, Jamie Lynn Signature Weddings, their main request was to create an atmosphere of fun and comfort for their guests. “Choose your own adventure” became the mantra for the event design concept. The idea was to encourage guests to meander through the old-world inspired venue, while always being within earshot of the live band and never too far from the wedding festivities. Emily also requested colorful shades of pink and orange, grazing stations and soft seating for a relaxed guest experience, and very specifically: poppies in honor of her late grandfather, “Poppi.”

The inspiration for the wedding quickly developed around the poppy’s whimsical nature and vibrant colors – a variety of pink hues, coral, and orange. Unfortunately, as luck would have it, poppies went out of season the week before the wedding and were mostly unattainable, giving florist Olivera Floral Design the challenge to bring this vision to life in a newly-imagined way within the same color palette. The bouquets were each constructed entirely of blooms. Emily had no fear of color on her wedding day, and envisioned floral designs that were different than the greenery-heavy arrangements that are popular right now. Her bouquet incorporated locally grown California poppies, foxglove, snapdragons, dahlias, and scabiosa, as well as coral charm peonies, garden roses, butterfly ranunculus and sweet peas. Poppies were also a main feature of the couple’s stationery, designed by North Carolina company, Ivy and Linen Design. The custom save the dates featured light pink cotton paper with a letterpress poppy design and fonts in a deeper shade of rose. The wedding invitations incorporated letterpress printing and a pink rose oil painting envelope liner as a nod to the fresh-picked garden vibe of the event. The invitation suites were sealed with a custom burgundy monogram wax seal with the initials of Emily and Christian’s first names. Emily’s bridesmaids wore matching floor-length ‘Raya’ dresses by Jenny Yoo in the wild rose shade. She gifted her girls Flora Nikrooz silk pajamas from Saks Fifth Avenue and earrings from Olive + Piper to wear on the wedding day. The girls carried small hand-tied bouquets featuring the same variety of blooms as Emily’s bouquet. Christian and Emily’s French bulldog, Milo, made an appearance in a pink bow tie prior to the ceremony for his photo op with the couple. Milo’s sweet portrait also took center stage on the cocktail napkins and drink koozies at the bars. An ombre champagne display with custom neon sign welcomed guests as they arrived for the 6 o’clock ceremony. The acrylic shelves were stocked with sparkling libations consisting of the estate’s own champagne, rosé, and mimosas mixed with grapefruit or orange juice. The ceremony was held in the estate’s Two-Tiered Garden. A lush installation of whimsical, asymmetrical floral pillars and ground meadow arrangements set the backdrop for the ‘I dos.’ Campanula, statice, cherry blossoms, and a variety of locally-foraged greens accompanied the blooms used in the bouquets to create the ceremony installation focal point. Emily found her lace, off-the-shoulder wedding gown at Washington DC boutique, Ava Laurenne. She wore her cousin’s cathedral-length veil as her “something borrowed” piece. Bella Belle ‘Bridget’ tulle heels and earrings by Lindsay Marie Design completed Emily’s wedding day look. Christian’s father had the honor of officiating the wedding ceremony, offering advice and reflection on the couple’s relationship from a personal perspective. Ceremony musician duo, Perfect Harmony Strings, played “Here Comes the Sun” by the Beatles as Emily and Christian took their walk down the aisle as a married couple. Transfusions, the couple’s signature drink, were offered to guests during cocktail hour on the Bluestone Terrace. The vodka-infused concoctions were served with custom acrylic drink stirrers with the monogram used in the invitation suites.

The terrace featured overhead bistro lighting and comfortable seating options with furniture rentals from Paisley and Jade. Sam Hill Entertainment band, The Dickens Band, kept the party going all evening. Emily and Christian opted for an informal-style dinner consisting of chef-attended grazing stations available throughout the night instead of a seated dinner, giving them more time to party with their guests on the dance floor. Guests dined on the estate’s popular shrimp and grits, truffle mac and cheese, beef tenderloin and fresh-roasted local vegetables. The outdoor gardens were brought inside the ballroom with greenery-adorned bistro lighting strung overhead. The intent of the design was to make the multi-story space feel more intimate and inviting for this relaxed reception. Highboy tables with barstools were intermingled with a few large round tables dressed in BBJ La Tavola ‘Charles Pink’ linens and compote floral centerpieces. Thanks to ideal weather, the floor-to-ceiling ballroom doors were left open to connect the outdoor terrace to the ballroom, providing easy flow between the spaces. Guests on the terrace could experience the sights and sounds of the band even from outside. The tall 4-tiered buttercream cake was created by Richmond-based bakery, Sweet Fix RVA. The off-white tiers were iced in a textured application with the appearance of handmade paper using pressed flowers. A combination of hand-sculpted gumpaste flowers and live flowers were applied to add the finishing touch of pink, and of course, the poppies. The cake sat atop a patterned linen in front of the grand sandstone fireplace, originating from Scotland, and surrounded by a meadow of flowers repurposed from the ceremony. Emily and Christian danced the night away with their guests before they ended the evening enjoying Taco Bell hard and soft tacos with their guests before their sparkler sendoff and honeymoon at The Greenbrier.

Romantic Laguna Beach Wedding Surrounding a Love for Golf

A neutral color palette made up of creams, tans and light peach make for a timeless affair, and today’s wedding at The Ranch at Laguna Beach, checks all the boxes with lush florals in a variety of textures by Carla Kayes Floral Design. Crowned Events planned this understated, classic day, adding in small details like scalloped bread plates, moss green linens, and naming tables after the couples favorite golf courses and Amy Golding captured the beauty of it all. Take a look below and check out the full gallery!

From Jessica with Crowned Events For Britt and Andy, we created a timeless and romantic aesthetic that tied in refined organic design elements and personalized details. We used their stationery design to bring out a few custom touches like having Epoch Design create an illustration of their sweet beagle, Rory, on their bar menu and naming their dining tables after their favorite golf courses!

We created their color palette with a focus on soft, neutral colors like cream, tan, and shades of taupe. These earthy hues were complemented by greenery in their floral design, textiles, and the surrounding landscape. Carla Kayes beautifully highlighted their color palette through floral design by utilizing lush blooms as well as varying shades and textures of foliage.

The tablescape design alternated between ivory pillar clusters paired with ruscus runners and textural compotes featuring billowy blooms with pops of mustard and soft blush. White rim chargers, scalloped bread plates, and moss green linen napkins brought in from Catalog Atelier were the perfect accents to elevate their understated, classic design.

This White and Green Floral Filled Wedding Is What Dreams Are Made Of!

Love is in full bloom at this beautiful flower filled day.  Brooke Keegan Special Events planned an event that brought this couple’s Big Day dream to life in the most beautiful of ways.  Filled with floral arches and a ceremony aisle lined with blooms, Oak And The Owl created floral installations that were simply stunning.  You can feel the love shinning through the imagery by Joel Serrato Film Photographer, head to the full gallery to fall headfirst into the real-life fairytale.

From the bride… Nick and I met at work. We were both working for a biotech company in San Diego at the time. On our first date, we realized that I already knew one of Nick’s close friends who coincidentally went to CU Boulder with me. Small world! Even smaller world was that this same friend ended up transferring to Chapman University and was friends with my younger sister. After about a month of secret lunch dates, the cat was out of the bag as our coworkers caught on to a budding office romance. The rest is history! Nick proposed on his family’s annual ski trip in Utah. There was a group of 9 of us snowmobiling on our last day. What I thought was leading up to a family photo-op, turned into the best surprise proposal at the top of a beautiful secluded ridge. My parents, who were vacationing in Hawaii at the time, were eagerly awaiting our phone call to announce our engagement. Nick had asked my dad for permission just a few days before our trip. He even asked my mom separately that same day if he could be her son-in-law (she wholeheartedly said yes – cue the happy tears!). Nick and I keep a jar of wine corks at home – dated and signed to help us remember the special occasions we celebrated in the past. I remember one of our friends coming over and joking of an old wives’ tale where once the jar is full, engagement will follow. Lo and behold, our precious jar of corks was planted in the snow where we were taking our “family photo.” I spotted the jar as I walked closer and was immediately overcome with emotion when I connected the dots. As I looked down, inside the jar was a ring box sitting on top of the corks. When I turned around to look at Nick, he was on one knee with the actual ring box asking me to marry him. We celebrated with champagne on top of a mountain surrounded by family. It was picture perfect!

Our wedding planner, Brooke Keegan Special Events, was a superstar and made the entire planning process seamless and enjoyable. Brooke’s innate attention to detail made all the difference – who knew a seamstress to help with our wedding party’s wardrobe would end up being the vendor we didn’t know we needed! We absolutely loved all our vendors and are so happy with the way everything turned out. Our wedding weekend was hands down the best weekend of our lives. We kicked off the wedding weekend with a Welcome Party and greeted our closest friends and family on Hotel Californian’s rooftop. Guests still rave about the steel drum band! Our wedding ceremony and reception at San Ysidro Ranch exceeded our wildest expectations. Everything from our signature cocktails (blood orange margarita and SYR New Fashioned) to the 12-piece band made it an evening to remember. The beautiful rose gardens behind our rose and hydrangea adorned altar made for the perfect wedding ceremony backdrop. We wanted an intimate ceremony and it was just that. One of my favorite memories looking back on our wedding day was when Nick grabbed my hand to walk above the rose gardens away from the crowd. We took a few moments together before our reception dinner to really take it all in and enjoy the bird’s eye view of our guests enjoying cocktail hour.

I also loved when our wedding planner pulled the two of us aside after our ceremony and invited us up to our reception lawn to see the decor before any of our guests. Seeing our wedding vision come to life after a year and 8 months engagement (thank you Covid!) was overwhelming to say the least. I will cherish these moments forever. Before our special day, friends reminded us to soak up every minute because the big day is gone before you know it and it really did go by too fast. We honeymooned in Bora Bora. It was everything we hoped it would be and more. The Four Seasons resort was an absolute dream! We embraced the island’s adventure side and did all the activities (tennis, snorkeling, scuba, ATV tour, swam with stingrays and black tip reef sharks, and jet skied across 50 shades of ocean blue). We dedicated time to relax on the private beach or in a poolside cabana. Sunset cocktails hit differently at the Four Seasons Bora Bora which made them a daily must – we will definitely be back one day!

This Bride’s Mom Handmade Her Dreamy Dress!

Can we get a round of applause for our bride’s mom?! Throughout Amy’s entire life her mom’s handmade dresses have been an important part of every milestone, so it’s only fitting that Mom made the wedding and bridesmaid dresses for her Big Day.  This heartfelt day designed by Unveiled by Grace is filled with love and special details, all inspired by natural oak and sage green.  Florals by Blooms Design House  mixed with seasonal elements add to the intrigue, all artfully captured in imagery by Meiwen Wang. You’ll fall in love with every moment inside the full gallery.

From Meiwen Wang… This was a beautiful Temecula wedding with Sean & Amy, with their dog Lincoln as one of the honorary groomsmen. My favorite aspect was that the bride’s mom made her wedding dress, along with all the other bridesmaid dresses.

From Amy, the bride… Since childhood, my mom’s dresses have played a part in all the important milestones in my life. Despite being born with a paralyzed hand, she pursued her passion and honed her craft as a seamstress, creating beautiful outfits for others in order to provide a living for her family. Although she often made clothes for others, she paid special attention to making outfits for me. This is evident from the dresses she has created for me throughout my life: everything from my baptism dress, to my prom dress, and even dresses I wore to job interviews. I always knew when the time came that she and I would make my wedding dress together. A few memories from the day…

1. All of Sean’s groomsmen were given a chance to speak and reflect different memories from different times in his life. One highlighted the uniqueness of Sean’s laugh, which sounds like a seal. Others called attention to the fact that Sean is always the loudest in the room, but that he shows his love through his actions. Amy’s bridesmaids’ speeches brought tears to the guests because they captured the raw emotion of their relationships with Amy and how much Amy was a part of their lives.

2. There were many memorable moments throughout our wedding day, but I was overwhelmed with emotion the moment I first put on my wedding dress with my mom watching. This was the most important dress my mom would ever make for me and the culmination of a childhood dream turned into reality

3. We all got ready with our bridal party and friends at the Airbnb. The morning of our wedding day was surprisingly very joyous and tranquil. The groomsmen were cooking breakfast for everyone, while the girls got ready in the master bedroom suite. It was so special to be able to hang out with our friends who we had not seen in a very long time. The house was filled with endless laughter and we felt so loved.

From the Unveiled by Grace… Inspired by the oak of winery and the soft sage greens at a tucked away venue within the sprawling foothills of Southern California’s resplendent wine country. A combination of soft neutral tones like white, sage, green, light grey, and gold create our base palette. The accent shades that bring those neutrals to life is the nature surrounding woods. Gold is used as a complementary color to add depth. Soft and airy florals accompanied by green leaves and seasonal elements blend seamlessly with rich velvet linens and lounge furniture. Warm candlelight ties the various elements together while creating an elevated rustic ambiance full of romance. Manicured lawn and tree-lined reception area along with string lights sets out to recreate the serenity and beauty of a wine venue. Finally, the venue’s light and natural wood interior act as the ideal backdrop. All design elements, from color to texture, come together to create a subtle and sophisticated aura that honors the couple’s love and marriage celebration.

Golf Inspired Wedding at The Club at Pasadera

This golf inspired wedding is a hole in one! Filled with a warm neutral color palette and playful details,  Palette Events Co planned a day that delights.  Just wait until you see the monogrammed golf ball escort card wall! Filled with free-flowing florals by Golden Fields Floristry and beautifully photographed by The Ganeys, this summer garden party is a dream come true.  Visit the full gallery for a closer look at all the fun.

From The GaneysKelsey and Grahame were such a treat to work with! Not only do such great taste, but they also have fun loving personalities. These two are both avid golfers and quickly hit it off after recognizing their mutual interest – so it only seemed appropriate to play into that for their wedding. They got married at a beautiful golf course in Carmel Valley that had Italian-inspired architecture. Their stationery artist created a custom crest for them that was printed or golf balls and used in a fun escort display. For the invitation suite that I got to photograph, they even had the envelope addressed to “Mr. Woods” at the iconic address for Magnolia Lane at Augusta Golf Course. Grahame and Kelsey decided to exchange vows privately after their first look, which I thought was a very sweet moment, allowing them to be fully present with each other. One of my favorite elements of this wedding was the color palette!

Despite it being a summer wedding, Ashley from Palette Events Co + Golden Fields Floristry worked together to pull in some autumn tones and warm neutrals. It turned out beautifully! Kelsey mentioned that one of her favorite parts of the day was, “getting to see all of the design, decor and florals that we spent so many months planning all come alive at the venue. I was truly blown away by how incredible everything looked. Ashley completely nailed our exact vision for the wedding and the whole venue was transformed into a dreamy, romantic, Tuscan summer garden party. One of the highlights of the design/decor was the custom escort display that Ashley designed as a nod to our love for golf. The monogram golf balls and floral print of the display board tied back to our invitation sweet and looked absolutely perfect.”

The couple had such an incredible group of their closest friends in their bridal party, so it made taking all of those group photos that much more fun. They were the biggest hype team of all time and helped keep Kelsey and Grahame at ease the whole day. Everyone nailed their entrance into the reception and it perfectly tee’d up the vibe for the reception. The evening was filled with some heartfelt and hilarious toasts. Kelsey said that the parent dances were, “definitely the most special moment we have ever had with our parents. They were so happy and proud that day, as were we, and those are moments we will get to hold onto forever.” And of course, they had an epic dance party! Everyone was so ready to celebrate Kelsey and Grahame on this next adventure.

A Green, Beige and Black Inspired Shoot at Prospect Park Boathouse

Green and ivory are two of the most classic wedding colors and the inspiration behind this styled shoot by Elizabeth Hall Events, which was anything but average! A hidden oasis in Brooklyn, Prospect Park Boathouse was home to this modern editorial shoot captured by Mary Dougherty Photography, with nods to the outdoors with lush florals by Whisper and Brook and subtle details like wooden chargers and moss green velvet linens. For all of you city brides and grooms who are looking to incorporate a bit of greenery to your urban setting, this gallery is for you!

From Elizabeth Hall Events… A little bit about this inspiration from this collaboration stems from Elizabeth’s love of greens, ivories, and blacks when they are designed together. She wanted the chance to use her favorite combination for a styles wedding shoot to inspire couples.

Elizabeth Hall Events put together a dream team of vendors including Mary Dougherty for photography, Whisper and Brook Flower Co for Floral Design, and Minted for Invitations.

Green and ivory is a common color palette in weddings, especially this year, but we wanted a fresh modern take. Prospect Park, located in Brooklyn New York, is an iconic venue (with a stunning green tile ceiling) and was a key player in the color palette. Not only that, this hidden oasis in the city shows what you can achieve in a space. Feeling both historic and immersed in nature, Mary and Liz drew upon their common love for the outdoors. Liz spent years in Vermont and Mary in the Adirondacks.

The whole team brought the vision to life and by creating a clean modern look for city brides who love the outdoors.

Vineyard Inspired Private Estate Wedding in Paradise Valley

One thing the pandemic brought in spades is the art of perseverance.  For this couple the third time planning their wedding was the charm, and oh how charming the wedding turned out to be! Mandy Marie Creative planned an intimate day filled with warm neutrals that has stolen our hearts. Floral design by Bloom & Blueprint is as romantic as it as mesmerizing. You can feel the joy of the day artfully captured in the imagery by Mary Claire Photography, see every meaningful moment inside the full gallery.

From Mandy Marie CreativeThe third time was the charm for this beautiful “Covid-Wedding” couple! As the story goes, Megan and Duane originally planned for a vineyard wedding in northern California at the beginning of 2020. Eventually, the family decided to move the celebration to their home in Paradise Valley to allow a bit more control over their celebration. Yet, they didn’t want to lose the aesthetic of the original Napa Valley vineyard-style venue. From the arched entryways to the exquisite courtyard and water feature, Megan and Duane’s Vineyard-inspired residence in Paradise Valley, Arizona, made for the perfect location for the couple to say their long-awaited “I do’s” on a perfectly sunny and warm November day. To complement the Tuscan architectural details, the Mandy Marie Creative team developed a warm, modern, and intimate wedding design concept that left this couple (and family) in awe.

Picture warm neutrals with a touch of blush and mixed metal accents. The couple wanted to utilize both the front and back of the home so that each portion of the event felt intentional. They started the celebration in a large yard where the ceremony took place before moving near the resort-style pool in the back yard for cocktail hour. Next, guests were guided into a courtyard dinner space, where a clean-lined tablescape with 3000+ feet of hanging greenery (like Beaulieu Gardens, only more significant) waited for them. Guests enjoyed wine pairings with a four-course meal underneath a canopy of twinkle lights and greenery surrounding a forty-foot-long water fountain.

After dinner, guests were escorted to the backyard for cake-cutting and dancing. The monogrammed dance floor was built over a custom sub-floor that leveled out a 15′ deep retaining lawn. Intentionally using this last space was important to Megan and Duane so they could enjoy an epic dance party late into the evening! Perhaps the most impressive part of this design was the three-hundred and fifty floating orbs that hung directly over the dance floor, backed by a beautiful stage with three floral arches. Guests walked away with heels in hand, sharing their dance party and overall experience left a highly memorable experience. There were so many moments of surprise and delight, from the Beaulieu-style hanging gardens at dinner to the pyrotechnics to the surprise father-daughter dance. Megan and Duane’s wedding was undoubtedly worth the wait!

Intimate Colorado Wedding Hosted On Two Mountaintops

Aside from the incredibly epic mountain views, the tender moments at this wedding might be even better.  Held at not one but two mountaintops, Poppati Events planned a ceremony that took place at the top of  Vail Mountain and then transported guests to the peak of Beaver Creek Mountain for the reception.  Blooms by Rose Petals Vail in pretty pinks and purples make the day even more beautiful.  Every image by Cat Galletti Photography is more stunning than the last, you can see them all inside the full gallery.

From Cat Galletti Photography… Georgia and Shane’s Colorado wedding was a result of multiple COVID postponements. What originally was going to be a 300+ ballroom wedding in Minnesota developed into an intimate mountaintop celebration with 35 of their closest family and friends. Amidst the stress of ongoing changes in regulations, Georgia and Shane reevaluated their priorities and decided a wedding in Colorado would be a better fit for their love story. Given both of their families have ties to the beautiful mountainous state, it was the perfect destination to begin their marriage.

My dream goal for Georgia and Shane was to plan a wedding that was uniquely theirs, to give them and their guests a one of a kind, unforgettable wedding experience. Georgia and her family have vacationed to Beaver Creek for years experiencing numerous fond memories. It was a very meaningful destination to Georgia and she wanted their wedding guests to experience it as well. Many of their guests hadn’t been to Vail or Beaver Creek. I thought it would create a remarkable wedding day if we hosted their wedding celebrations on 2 mountain tops, the ceremony on top of Vail Mountain and the cocktail hour and reception on top of Beaver Creek Mountain. This was the first time this had ever been done and I loved that we were able to create this unique experience for Georgia, Shane, and their wedding guests.

Guests were dropped off at the base of Vail Village, where they were escorted through a short beautiful stroll of the town and were guided onto the Gondola that would take them up to the breathtaking mountaintop ceremony. Surrounded by loved ones and the breathtaking mountains is where Georgia and Shane exchanged their I Dos. Following the ceremony, guests were then driven from Vail Mountain to the top of Beaver Creek Mountain to the iconic Beano’s Cabin, where the cocktail hour and reception took place.

Garden Wedding at Four Seasons Scottsdale Complete With 5 Epic Floral Arches

Walking down the aisle to marry your soulmate, is one of the most memorable walks you’ll ever take, but imagine walking down the aisle under 5 stunning floral arches? Imoni Events created this dream-like ceremony at the Four Seasons Scottsdale with Carte Blanche for this bride and groom and (in only 90 minutes!) transformed everything for the reception, which felt like you walked into a secret garden. With heartfelt moments around every corner, Elyse Hall Photography captured all of the love at this garden desert day. See the full gallery and read on to hear all about the couple’s meaningful rehearsal dinner and western welcome party!

From Elyse Hall Photography… Kharissa and Rob kicked off their wedding weekend with an intimate rehearsal dinner hosted on the patio of Talavara at Four Seasons Scottsdale. We incorporate moon lanterns as a nod to Kharissa’s grandparent’s wedding.

They had moon lanterns all throughout their reception and we thought it would be fun to incorporate those throughout the dinner with their closest friends and family. We also had custom menus made for each place setting that shared the love stories of their grandparents and parents since all six couples are still married.

Following the rehearsal dinner was their western welcome party hosted in Proof at Four Seasons Scottsdale. They welcomed their guests with prickly pear margaritas and live country music. They also served a variety of southern inspired food as a nod to Nashville, where they are currently living.

The wedding day was full of love, flowers, and heartfelt moments. The ceremony consisted of 5 arches that Kharissa and her father walked down to marry the love of her life. We then flipped the ceremony space into the dinner in 90 minutes. We moved all of the arches, added lighting, and created the head table of their dreams. We incorporated their adorable pup throughout the wedding day on the signature drink and a few pillows for the lounges. We ended the night with a surprise birthday cake, sparklers, and the band singing happy birthday for the groom’s 30th birthday at midnight.

This Endlessly Romantic Woodbine Mansion Wedding Will Tug At Your Heartstrings

This Woodbine Mansion wedding is what dreams are made of! Classic, timeless, and full of love SPC Wedding & Event Mgt planned a day that brought Charles and Bukie’s elegant vision to life in the most beautiful of ways.  Endlessly romantic florals by Marion Events were the exclamation mark of the event, all artfully captured in imagery by Alyssa Jarae Photography. You’ll love every heartfelt moment inside the full gallery.

From Alyssa Jarae Photography This couple’s wedding at Woodbine Mansion was timeless, elegant, and family-centered. Charles and Bukie incorporated a lot of traditions, decoration influences and other elements from their Nigerian heritage to create a gorgeous concept unique to them and their story. The florals from Marion Events were a showstopper and incorporated the color palette of pink, blush, and champagne for a truly classic style. Soft pink roses kept the bouquet traditional while white tulips and orchids gave it a modern flare. Charles and Bukie’s invitation suite also caught the attention of their guests with a bold black envelope featuring a pink floral print on the interior. Bukie looked stunning in her dress by Martina Liana from the iconic Klienfeld Bridal store in New York. Her hair and makeup team from The 210 MUA completed her look with soft curls and a glamorous makeup style, and Bukie. Charles was equally dashing in a classic tux from The Black Tux that fit the timeless aesthetic in mind.

The ceremony featured family members dressed in traditional Nigerian attire while they opted for their wedding party to wear traditional wedding attire. Big floral installations featuring whimsical greenery and pink and white roses on either side of the couple created a gorgeous backdrop as they said their “I do’s”. Bukie chose to wear her sister’s veil for an extra special something borrowed on her big day. Charles and Bukie are such a joyful couple, I’m pretty sure smiles never left their faces.

The reception had incredible food by Peached Tortilla and featured an absolute epic dance party led by DJ Chosen as everyone celebrated the newest Mr. And Mrs. Umeano. The gorgeous cake by Edis Chocolates was almost as sweet as the love between Charles and Bukie. This couple’s wedding will live in the heads and hearts of all that attended. They had a truly beautiful wedding that will never go out of style.

Fairytale Wedding on the French Riviera Fit for Royalty

Today’s French Riviera wedding is every girl’s dream. Once upon a time on a sunny summer day in Grasse, Marta and David tied the knot surrounded by their nearest and dearest at Château Saint Georges. Sisters & Blush Floral Design created romantic arrangements complete with hundreds of white roses, perfectly complimenting the bride’s floral appliqué adorned gown. Be sure to take a peek at the full gallery of inspiration by Jeremie Hkb, all planned by Anne Laure Weddings!

Lovers of France and even more of Provence – French Riviera, Marta and David have chosen a destination wedding. Indeed, they both live in the United States with their dog Fuji (in reference to the mountain). This one could not be present at the wedding but you will see several winks throughout the wedding (Flatlay, cocktails, on the wedding cake).

Marta and David picked South of France after many other iterations of where we could do it. We LOVE the bright, sunny, and light airy vibes that the French Riviera emanates. It makes their think that they are on vacation and the rest of their life at home has stopped for it!

They spent a lot of time thinking with the wedding planner (Anne Laure) about where to celebrate their wedding and they chose Château Saint Georges after considering many options! What struck them was the striking and memorable facade of the castle, the perfectly maintained golden interiors and the exteriors lined with palm trees!

– The location of the ceremony is very special. Nestled in the greenery of the garden on the stairs near the castle was intentional because they wanted a more intimate space, a kind of “secret garden” to share their wishes.
– Long tables, instead of circular tables for a feeling of intimacy and family between all the guests.
– Marta especially loves flowers, so it was important to her to bring natural beauty to the space!
– In special things, they took a painter to paint the ceremony and have a unique memory.

According to you, what are the important elements of your wedding ?

From the couple… First and most importantly, the people that have come halfway across the world to celebrate our wedding with us. Many have taken a week from their lives to come to a destination that they’ve never been to before purely out of their love for us!

How we chose the venue and location:

We were set on doing our wedding in Europe because of our heritage – Marta is Polish, David is Bulgarian – and France was a country that embodied the romantic and airy feel we wanted from our wedding. The south of France was a region that we had both visited before and really enjoyed – for David, the Mediterranean reminded him of family vacations he used to go on when he was growing up in Bulgaria.

Chateau Saint Georges brought together the coastal nature of the Cote d’Azur with its magnificent palm trees and flowers and the classical architecture of old world France. We also loved that it was more than just an indoor venue space. We had an entire estate with the Chateau, a neighboring Villa and several gardens our guests could explore and enjoy.

How we chose the colors:

Chateau Saint Georges provided a beautiful canvas – the creams and golds of the interior, pale pinks of the exterior and lush greenery of the estate were all things we wanted to respect, so it was important to us to find a palette that would compliment the beautiful surroundings, and not clash with them. We wanted to dial in on a romantic, airy and light feeling, so were drawn to whites, creams, pale pinks and greens that together would create dimension and remain warm and inviting.

Highlights of our wedding:

Writing our own vows and getting to say them in front of our family and friends was very special to us. We also had a close friend as the officiant and that made the ceremony even more meaningful.

All of the speeches from our families, best man, and maid of honor – our wedding was small and intimate, which allowed our guests to really experience and be part of the heartfelt remarks they delivered.

Advice for other couples looking to do destination weddings:

Working with a wedding planner that you trust is really important when you cannot regularly visit your wedding location. Because of the distance, it’s helpful to delegate as much of the responsibilities as you can and working with someone that is experienced and reliable makes this much, much easier.

You can’t make everything perfect – so pick a few things that you really want to focus on. The key things that we spent the most time focusing on were our ceremony and the experience of our guests. For our ceremony, we were purposeful about where in the venue it would be held, how our guests would be sitting, who would be involved in the ceremony, and the order of events. And regarding guest experience, we also spent quite a bit of time thinking through their transportation, food & drink, accommodation suggestions, and event timing to ensure the entire experience was comfortable for them.

We found that planning events around the main wedding day was important – it gave our guests a structured way to enjoy more of the region and allowed us to spend more time with them throughout the weekend. We held pre and post-wedding events in Nice and Villefrance Sur Mer, which our guests may not have had a reason to see if we only held our wedding day event in Grasse given the distance.
