You’ve Never Seen a Farm Wedding as Pretty as This Intimate Fall Day

Crisp air, autumn leaves, a gorgeous farm setting, flowers in rich fall hues and one very in love couple — these are the elements of a perfect fall wedding, and thanks to vendors like Tourterelle Floral Design, Emma and Patrick’s big day. Get ready, because you’re going to want to pin every one of Tori Watson Photography‘s beautiful images in The Vault!

From Tori Watson Photography… A gorgeous Fall backdrop with perfectly crisp air, horses and sheep in the distance, and an intimate celebration with the closest family and friends made Emma & Patrick’s wedding a dream to be part of. You can’t ask for a more perfect location than the quaint Farmhouse at Veritas or more stunning florals than Tourterelle put together. Pair those aspects with the classic wedding gown and the adoring way they looked at each other, every aspect was just filled with beauty and meaning. It’s a true joy to photograph celebrations that really let the couple and their love story shine, and Emma & Patrick’s wedding was the perfect example of that. So honored that I got to work alongside such talented vendors to capture such sweet love!

From The Bride…Veritas Vineyards was the perfect setting for our small, intimate wedding. They had a beautiful farmhouse we were able to stay for the weekend; it was really special for us to be able to spend that extra time with our families and have them get to know each other better. The day of the wedding was incredible. The site of the ceremony was gorgeous, overlooking the vineyards, and it was so special to be surrounded by our family and close friends. The reception was beautiful and we enjoyed a delicious sit-down dinner. The best part was that we had time to enjoy ourselves as well as spend time with all of our guests. The whole weekend was everything we had been hoping for!

Burgundy + Buried Bourbon Set the Tone for This Southern Affair

For the classic bride looking to incorporate a bit of color: this wedding is for you. A sweetly Southern affair drenched in deep hues of burgundy, bits of bourbon, and the most stunning lace veil we’ve ever seen, it’s low-country meets high style that you’re sure to love. With Simply Sarah Photography capturing every moment of marital bliss, you’ll want to piece through this gallery pronto. See it all in The Vault!

From The Bride…David and I met while David was working in Australia. After a year of dating in Australia David’s company wanted him to move to Savannah, Georgia. We instantly fell in love with Savannah’s moss-draped oaks, beautiful squares and romantic riverfront.

As most of our guests were flying in from Australia and all corners of the United States we really wanted to share the same Southern hospitality that we had felt when we first moved to Savannah. It was important to us to make sure that all of our guests felt loved and included not only on our wedding day but throughout their entire stay. We looked for special ways to include our guests wherever we could so that by our wedding day everyone would feel like family. Throughout the weekend our guests were invited to join us for a low-country boil, a trolley tour of the Historic District and a riverboat cruise along the Savannah River.

When looking for a venue we could not go past the charming Whitefield Chapel. The quaint chapel surrounded by the beautiful grand oaks dripping in Spanish Moss perfectly captured the beauty of The South. Our catering company worked with us to come up with a menu consisting of local favorites including shrimp and grits and chicken and waffles and our baker sourced locally farmed, in-season produce to create the most beautiful cake. A month out from the wedding when details and timelines were bearing down we decided to take some time off from wedding plans for a Bourbon Bury. A Bourbon Bury is fun little Southern folklore that we had happened to stumble upon that says if you bury a bottle of bourbon, upside down, at the site of where you are to be married exactly a month from your wedding date then it won’t rain on your wedding day. On the day of your wedding you are meant to dig up the bourbon and share it with your bridal party in celebration.

Truly the highlight of the day was being surrounded by so many of our loved ones from near and far and being able to share such a special day with them. Digging up our bourbon after doing the bourbon bury the month previously and sharing it with our friends and family was just yet another fun way to include everyone in our day. Walking across the grounds to the place where we buried the bourbon with so many of dearest and their own significant others was one of the sweetest moments from the day.

See How a 108-Year-Old House was Transformed Into a Gorgeous Home

Maybe it’s the blue door, the farmhouse sink, the white kitchen with it’s subway tile and mismatched wooden island chairs, the beautifully simple bedrooms or the al fresco lounge area that have my little finger wrapped around this house tour. I can’t really remember which characteristic stole my heart first, but this 108-year-old home tour from Diani Living and TOAST Santa Barbara is one I want to step into over and over again. You can too, here in The Vault with imagery from Jen Rodriguez.

From TOAST Santa BarbaraFour years ago, Caroline Diani and Jeffery Doornbos approached TOAST Santa Barbara to assist with coordination and floral design of their wedding in Santa Barbara, CA. The stunning al fresco wedding was featured on Style Me Pretty in California and was filled with all sorts of sentimental details. Four years later, Kim Curtis of TOAST Santa Barbara was working in conjunction with Curtis and Associates on a major renovation of a 1908 home in Santa Barbara and needed someone to stage the home to sell.

Serendipitously, Caroline and her husband, Jeffrey, were in the process of launching their new design firm, Diani Design Studio. Curtis and Associates wanted something unique and fresh to stage the historic home and thought that Caroline and Jeffery, with their discerning eye and love of all things beautiful, would be the perfect fit to fill the home with extraordinary treasures.

The collaboration between all involved was once again a success. Pieces brought in from all over the country highlight the new clean finishes in the house, all the while giving nod to the home’s historic roots. Artwork by Jeffrey hangs on many of the walls and luxury details such as bedding and throw pillows from Diani Living fill the bedrooms while soaps and towels are set in the restrooms. TOAST Santa Barbara brought in floral to add a living pop to the environment and to compliment the potted succulents by Dalla Vita.

Everyone involved wanted to move in at the completion of this project! Fortunately, as buying the house isn’t an option for everyone, purchasing the items is as many of these luxury details can be found at Diani Living.

A White-on-White Celebration That Redefines “Beach Wedding”

When it came time to plan their destination wedding, this couple knew The Bahamas was the perfect spot for them. Not only because of the island’s obvious beauty, but it was the birthplace and home to the groom during his childhood years. Julie Cate captured their white-on-white beach soiree and our jaws have officially dropped. More in The Vault!

From The Bride…Rob and I met nearly 7 years ago on the 4th of July at a friend’s rooftop party after I had just moved to the city from Florida. We had an instant connection and have made so many amazing memories together over the years, two of the most special being our engagement in Provence and our wedding in Harbour Island.

After we got engaged, we immediately knew we wanted a destination wedding with a weekend full of activities where our family and friends could be together in a relaxed setting. We visited several venues in the Northeast and in the South before taking a chance on a charming little island we read about in the Bahamas. Rob was born in the Bahamas and lived there with his family in his early years, so we thought it was particularly relevant to us. We visited Harbour Island the year before our wedding and instantly fell in love with the people, the golf carts, the roosters, the island’s beauty and style – everything about it! As soon as we visited The Ocean View Club and met with Ben and Charlie of Little Island Design, we knew there was no one else we wanted to work with.

As we were planning the wedding, I knew I wanted an island chic vibe that would be classic and timeless. We wanted our wedding to feel relaxed and laid back, while still maintaining an element of formality. We worked with Ben and Charlie on the floral design of simple greenery and white flowers paired with a classic black and white dance floor in the sand. I knew from the start that I wanted my bridesmaids to wear fabulous white dresses of their own choice to stand out against our handsome groomsmen in tuxes.

The wedding weekend turned out to be even better than we envisioned. The island is so small that it felt like we took it over! Our families rented houses on the island, our wedding party took over The Ocean View Club, and our other guests stayed in hotels right down the beach. After events on Thursday and Friday, we were married in the iconic Pink Church in the center of the island. After the ceremony we surprised our guests with a Junkanoo band that paraded us down the street to The Ocean View Club. One of my favorite moments was looking back at the line of golf carts driving up to the reception. We had cocktails on the Terrace and then moved down to the tent on the beach for dinner and dancing. It was an amazing feeling to see your vision come to life. Ben and Charlie and the LID team exceeded my expectations with every detail from the impressive food to the custom made dance floor to the outdoor lounge area. Our band, the Sultans of Swing, who flew in from Boston had our guests on their feet and kept up the energy all night.

Lastly, I can’t say enough about Julie and James. Not only is she an incredibly talented photographer who perfectly captured our wedding day, she is the sweetest person who put us at ease on such a special day. We still joke about “almost kisses” to this day. We were blown away by the portraits she took of us and our wedding party and we were rolling in laughter at some of the candid shots she captured from the reception. We are so happy we worked with Julie and we will always cherish the beautiful images that will always bring us back to our wedding day.

A Newlywed Announcement That’ll Have You Floating on Cloud Nine

Y’all it’s official, Molly and Ben are just about the cutest couple ever. For not only did these two rock some serious style on their special day, but they also spelled out their newlywed status with big ol’ balloons (talk about adorable)! Rach Loves Troy captured it all to share and we’ve got it waiting for you favorite in The Vault

From Rach Loves TroyWhen we first chatted with Molly and Ben it was evident they were a cool couple with some serious style. They had met and fallen in love in Las Vegas where molly was a Cirque du soleil dancer and then when work took Ben to New York City and now Laguna Beach, California. I knew after all that Molly and been had to be an adventurous couple and so full of life.

Their day was exactly that! Nothing but smiles from these two all day and their wedding style at the Bride totally reflected their calm cool and collected personalities the day of the wedding. They had this perfect mix of sweet southern with modern fun! So many fun details down to the beautiful floral appliqués on Molly’s adorable Two piece Jenny Yoo dress.

I loved how the blue, gray, and creams of their wedding perfectly blended with the style of the Brice. Molly was so conscious of the amazing design features this gorgeous hotel had to offer all on its own. Throw in all her adorable Kate Spade touches with their Mr. and Mrs. balloons and it was seriously beautiful!

French Châteaux Are Where Wedding Dreams Are Made

Styled shoots are special – they give vendors the opportunity to create any scene their heart desires and when we get invited in, we get pretty excited. And this one here is divine. With Mango Muse Events behind the wheel, various influences were combined into one Old World meets modern elegance at Chateau de Jalesnes and Julia Winkler captured all. Our Vault is brimming with the goodsthis way!

From Mango Muse Events… For this fall French chateau wedding shoot, we really wanted to create a whole wedding to showcase the beauty of the chateau. So, we did just that and to inspire us, was Jasper and Camille.

Jasper and Camille met in France while studying abroad. They became friends and then later, more than friends. She’s American and he’s British, so when they got engaged, they wanted a destination wedding in the country where they met. They wanted to celebrate where they fell in love and share it with their guests. They wanted a small wedding, just family and a couple of close friends and they wanted everyone to stay together in the same place. While they love Paris, they wanted something a bit quieter, so they picked a chateau in Loire Valley. Chateau de Jalesnes was perfect because it is in the countryside, but not so far away from Paris that they couldn’t hang out there too.

She’s a teacher of biology and he’s a historian. They love trivia, puzzles, facts and of course history. So, we included touches that evoke a bit of history both past and the creation of a new one. They wanted to bring in both of their cultures and mix it with French style. So, we created a wedding with an old world feel combined with a contemporary natural look. Comfortable but luxurious, organic but detailed.

The details included special gifts for their wedding guests leading them from one area and stage in the wedding day to the next. As guests woke up, they received a vial of perfume to get them ready for the day. Then at the ceremony located at the forest decorated with garlands fitting the tower ruins, the guests receive a vintage French handkerchief.

After the ceremony, guests are greeted in the foyer with small hand written notes and stories (decorated with natural florals and vines and mini apples) sitting next to a history book where guests are asked share their favorite stories of the couple. At dinner, the place cards and menus showcase an amazing meal to come. Tables are set with overflowing natural garlands with fall foliage, fruit and flowers. The night ends with drinks in the lounge, delectable desserts and the couple’s favor, a choice of coffee or tea (each a favorite of the couple’s).

A Laid-Back Wedding With So Much Heart. See Why We Adore These Grooms!

This morning we’re taking a little trip to rural Tennessee for a wedding with so much heart we can hardly stand it. These two grooms set out to plan their “perfectly imperfect” celebration with Stunning Events by their side, the end result was a day overflowing with love. Kristin Sweeting captured and there’s lots more right this way.

From The Groom…Mike and I knew from the start that we wanted our wedding day to be above all a celebration of love. We of course didn’t have the most storybook relationship and we knew that we didn’t want to have a storybook wedding, but we did want all of our closest family and friends to know and share in our love for each other. After a very long engagement, which itself took place in the presence of a small group of family and friends, we quickly set to work in planning the biggest day of our lives. We almost immediately settled on a spring wedding due to its association with renewal and life. With a spring wedding planned, we couldn’t bear the thought of getting married indoors, so it was relatively easy from there to land on Arrington Vineyards in Arrington, Tennessee as our venue. The site offered tons of space for our celebration, along with flexibility in planning.

Neither of us are formal people–we are most comfortable in gym clothes with a small group of friends. We wanted this casual vibe to be present in our wedding but in an elegant way–we wanted the day to be care-free for us and our guests while emphasizing elements of simple beauty. We chose blues, whites, and grays as our theme mostly because we knew that they would flow well with the background of spring in Tennessee. From there, it was mostly a matter of choosing our vendors and sharing our vision with them. Many of the people who helped us pull off our biggest day were already our friends, and those who weren’t became our friends during the process. Our two biggest life savers in the whole process were definitely our wedding planner, Kristin Kaplan of Stunning Events, and Kristin Sweeting of Kristin Sweeting Photography. Both were so easy to work with while maintaining a high degree of professionalism. There were definitely hiccups along the way, but these two in particular were right there to smooth them over.

In the end, our wedding day was perfectly imperfect. Our wedding party all looked beautiful, our florals were stunning, the food was delicious, the band was rowdy, the drinks were strong, and the rain held off until the final declaration and then let up right after cocktail hour. Our friends and family were able to celebrate with us for a whole night with more than enough smiles to go around. And the love, which we worked so hard to be able to show to the world, was given right back to us in overflowing abundance.
