Timeless Romance Inspired by Dior at Château de Fonscolombe

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”The Inspiration”]February 12, 1947 was an international success with the New-look collection. It’s the story of a magical moment that succeeded in launching the Dior legend with mid-calf dresses and skirts.

The Dior silhouette promotes strapless dresses and long, wide, pleated, flowing, skirted skirts under an emphasized bust.

So, the inspiration is Dior, Audrey Hepburn, the ’50s. We can even compare our shoot to Dior’s “Miss Dior” ad.

The idea of Anne-Clothilde from the Hedhera agency was to combine the 50s, Provence and modernity.

The story is simple: a couple on their way to their wedding at Château de Fonscolombe.[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]Blue, antic pink and white[/field]
[field title=”The Venue”]Château de Fonscolombe is an exceptional venue in the south of France.

Built in the 18th century in the heart of Provence, this magnificent estate belonged to a great family of humanists, the Marquis de Saporta and the Marquis de Fonscolombe.[/field]

Art Deco Style Meet Art Nouveau at This Late Summer Soirée

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]Main colors were blue mist and champagne, with accents of sandy peach, citrus, seafoam and ivory to mirror the colors found in the venue’s architecture. Gold was our accent metal.[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]Our style could be described as “Great Expectations Meets Art Deco,” which is very much in line with the feel of this historic venue and the surrounding grounds. Everything was meant to feel light, garden-inspired and whimsical, sort of a last hurrah for summer in Chicago.[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]It was amazing. We celebrate our anniversary on Halloween every year but this year he booked a ghost tour several months early for Friday of Halloween weekend. I found out during the tour that he also got us a stay at the haunted historic Austin hotel, The Driskill, that I’ve always wanted to visit as part of the tour. Later that night we went up to the room and I started wandering the hall to look at creepy portraits. He said my name as I wandered away and when I turned around he was on one knee. I was in shock and didn’t fully register what had happened, but after saying “oh my god” about 20 times, I eventually said yes![/field]

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

We worked with Kate of Cygnet Events and Design to support all of our design-related planning. After several very comprehensive meetings to discuss our style, personalities, budget and the logistics of the venue, we curated a wedding style that felt like the perfect fit. The overall goal was to feel whimsical and romantic, without being too flourishy or doing anything that wouldn’t suit the Art Deco and Art Nouveau details of the venue. Our palette pulled from the flowers of late summer, like dahlias, and also the painted murals and architectural details of the space.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]A pearl dot-inspired cake to mirror the pearl dot details of the dress and veil. The thin fondant edge on the top with gold leaf applied was a fun subtle detail.[/field]

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]After our final walkthrough, we took our planner’s recommendation to add a few additional decor elements, such as custom designed bars and fringe umbrellas for cocktail hour. We also upgraded our rental chairs for ceremony and dinner and it made such a difference![/field]

Textural Garden Style at Ladybird Johnson Wildflower Center

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]Pastel spring colors–pink, yellow, purple, blue–with pops of red![/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]Pepe and I met over 10 years ago, during our last year of college at the University of Texas at Austin. We were thrilled to find the Wildflower Center, since the venue allowed us not only to start our married life together in a vibrant, inspiring setting but also to share our love of Austin with our family and friends. On top of finding the perfect backdrop to our dream wedding, we lucked out in finding Beth, our event planner at 36th Street Events, who carried out our vision so effortlessly. We wanted to transport our guests to this dreamy Texas landscape and provide them with the most relaxed and fun atmosphere to celebrate and party! Our energetic and extremely talented band, Icehouse Band, ensured just that, and we found ourselves dancing all night, having the time of our lives! [/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]While visiting my family in Hawaii, Pepe booked a morning to ourselves to go skydiving above Oahu’s North Shore. I had skydived before, and he knew I had wanted to take him. It was exciting to be able to share the experience together. Little did I know, he had planned for much more than just skydiving. By the time I was starting to land with my parachute, he was on the ground holding a sign that read “Will you marry me?” [/field]

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]Julian Gold Bridal was incredible in helping me find my wedding dress! The dress was the perfect mix of whimsical and romantic. Best of all, it was so comfortable to dance in![/field]
[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]I wanted my bridesmaids’ dresses to be a reflection of their unique styles and personalities. I chose blush and asked for anything fun and textured. A few Pinterest boards later, my girls didn’t disappoint, and we came up with a beautiful mix of dresses. [/field]
[field title=”Groomsman Attire”]We had such an easy experience with Black Tux previously that it was a no-brainer choosing them for our wedding. [field title=”Food & Drink”]Upon arrival to the Wildflower Center, guests were greeted with champagne and hors d’oeuvres. My favorites were the chicken tinga tacos served on lime wedges and the chicken and waffle bites complete with bourbon maple pipettes! For dinner, guests enjoyed short ribs with parmesan risotto or chicken piccata with mashed potatoes. Signature cocktails included a Texas sipper and a spicy lemongrass margarita, which we loved as a nod to our Texas roots as well as our Mexican and Vietnamese cultures! For late night snacks, we served sliders and fry cones during the reception and later in the night passed out donut holes and kolaches as guests made their way to the buses to depart.[/field]

tulips, sweet pea, smilax, ruscus, larkspur, delphinium, scabiosa,
*scabiosa pods,

and dahlias. Add white filly anemone

STYLE: garden style, layered, romantic, elegant, textural, whimsical,

light and airy, simple, minimalist[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]We chose an almond vanilla cake with a minimalist and textured design accented with florals. [/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”][/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]In college, Pepe made a bit of a grand gesture by sending me an orchid with a sweet note, asking me to date him. Because of this, orchids hold special meaning in our relationship, and since then, he has given them to me on special occasions or even just to cheer me up. Clementine Botanical Art did such a great job incorporating orchids in my bridal bouquet and our wedding cake. Having those details on the day of our wedding was so special! [/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]On our special day, we wanted to include our dogs, Charlie and Herman. Jen Krause Paper Co designed a lot of our day-of signage. She was able to capture their dood personalities perfectly in her illustrations of them, which we featured in silver foil on our cocktail napkins![/field]

Ranch Chic Done Right – Bringing Elegance and Warmth to a Santa Ynez Wedding

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]Talya and Chris were inspired by the natural landscape in Santa Barbara County for their wedding colors. Since the wedding was held in coastal California in the springtime, they leaned into fresh and earthy colors. Talya and Chris, alongside their wedding team, set a backdrop of neutrals with hints of green to match the landscape and then sprinkled in pastels in shades of pinks, oranges, and blues. [/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]Starting back in 1973, Talya’s mom grew up visiting The Alisal with her family and carried the tradition forward with her own, so Talya hasn’t missed a summer at the ranch since she was born! Being high-school sweethearts, Chris started visiting The Alisal with the Coopers years ago. When it came time to get married, The Alisal was at the top of their list– and when the ranch called and said they had one open summer weekend left for the next two years, Talya and Chris knew it was fate!

This intimate, personal tone was woven throughout their wedding weekend since the HCs wanted guests to feel part of their Alisal story. From Rehearsal Dinner bingo (a ranch tradition!) led by the same Alisal counselors who ran the kids’ program throughout Talya’s childhood to a ketubah signing at the Old Adobe where Talya and Chris spent brisk summer mornings sharing pancakes and hot chocolate, their wedding weekend felt true to the couple and gave guests a glimpse of their favorite memories together.

As their wedding day turned to night, guests took hay wagons to the Sycamore Grove to watch the couple tie the knot. The group then journeyed down to Alisal Lake for a sunset cocktail hour followed by dinner and dancing under twinkle lights and the stars– brought to life by an incredibly talented team.
[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]Though Talya and Chris grew up in Los Angeles, they’ve built their life together amongst the skyscrapers of New York City. On Thanksgiving weekend in 2021, Chris convinced Talya they were attending a family brunch in Gramercy. Instead, Chris surprised Talya with a key to Gramercy Park– New York’s only remaining private park and a pocket of tranquility nestled among the city streets. Chris popped the question there and they celebrated with cake, champagne, and a surprise family engagement party in SoHo that night.

[section title=”The Fashion”]
[field title=”Wedding Gown”]After visiting a handful of bridal stores in Los Angeles, Talya knew her wedding gown was the one the moment she put it on. From Lovely Bride, the strapless dress featured structured folds in the front, a tasteful slit, and a button detail running down the spine. Talya paired the classic gown with a pearl-adorned veil and strappy pearl heels to match. Late into the reception, Talya changed into a high-neck silk dress and switched her hair to an updo before cutting the cake and hopping back right on the dance floor.
[/field]
[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]Though Talya was involved in nearly every decision for her wedding weekend, one area where she put her aesthetically oriented sister Riva in charge was fashion. Together, the duo curated mismatched bridesmaid dresses in light spring colors with floral patterns. To be sure that each bridesmaid felt beautiful in her outfit and would be able to wear the dress again and again, each picked her own unique dress. Though this took a bit of additional effort (and some Photoshop mockups) to ensure the look was cohesive, the sisters say they’d do it ten times over given how gorgeous the group looked together. [/field]
[field title=”Groomsman Attire”]The groom wore a custom tux from Enzo in NYC, complete with his new initials and wedding date embroidered inside the jacket. Groomsmen wore tuxes with custom cufflinks given as a bachelor party gift from Chris! [/field]

[section title=”The Details”]
[field title=”Food & Drink”]As vegetarians, Talya and Chris have been at their fair share of events where the food options were limited– and they wanted to ensure that all their guests would have delicious food that matched the elevated setting of the ranch. Guests were served passed appetizers and custom drinks and mocktails during cocktail hour, while chefs grilled steaks to be served for dinner. Alongside The Alisal’s famous BBQ, guests enjoyed vegan caesar salad, parmesan potatoes, grilled asparagus, tofu steaks, and homemade biscuits.

The wedding featured custom drinks such as “The Henderson,” a vodka-pineapple cocktail inspired by a drink Chris had in Puerto Rico, “The Cooper,” a margarita with extra lime (Talya’s favorite) and “The HC,” a pomegranate spritz mocktail named after the couple’s new, merged last name, Henderson-Cooper.

The rehearsal dinner and welcome party were hosted by Chris’s parents at The Alisal’s rodeo. They opted for Mexican food, including homemade churros and tres leches for dessert! The ranch chic vibe was matched with custom cocktails including a spicy margarita, an old fashioned, and an Alisal Special (a Shirley Temple with a splash of OJ).
[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]Talya and Chris were intent on florals that brought out the natural beauty of the Sycamore Grove where the ceremony took place and the rolling hills of the lakeside reception. They chose a mix of springtime pinks and natural white and green florals, which surrounded the custom white birch chuppah and aisle during the ceremony and were arranged in modern, natural vases throughout the cocktail and reception outdoor space.
[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]For dessert, Talya and Chris cut into a berry cake with fresh whipped cream, inspired by a cake at Talya’s favorite bakery in Los Angeles (Sweet Lady Jane). Guests were also served The Alisal’s Oreo cheesecake, one of Chris’s all-time favorite desserts, which was a must for them to have at the wedding.
[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]To kick off the reception, Talya, Chris, and their parents were lifted in chairs, as friends and family danced the hora– brought to life by the band’s vibrant horn section and singers.

Both Talya’s and Chris’s parents and siblings spoke at the rehearsal dinner and reception, without a dry eye in the crowd. Having known each other since middle school, there were toasts from friends who grew up with them both. There were jokes about Chris on the basketball court in kindergarten and the day he met Talya in 7th grade.

The crowd danced for hours before the last song– which had to be Love Story by Taylor Swift. Guests then piled into hay wagons to ride back to the main ranch for an afterparty full of late-night bites, disco lights, and a DJ. As promised, Talya’s parents stayed until the end of the afterparty, bringing the energy to the dance floor and closing out the night with a bang!
[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]Loly Orozco from the Little Postage House crafted invitations with a sleek and modern aesthetic for the couple to match the wedding weekend design. The centerpiece of the design was the couple’s names, elegantly rendered in blind letterpress on a luxurious double-thick cotton cardstock. Complementing this focal point, the remaining text was meticulously printed in a custom dusty blue shade. To complete the ensemble, the invitation suite was impeccably presented, bound together by a bespoke dusty blue wax seal, graced with the couple’s monogram, and encased in a custom-cut vellum wrap.
[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]To maintain a harmonious theme throughout their wedding day, the couple collaborated closely with Little Postage House to craft day-of items that seamlessly echoed their invitation suite. Each place setting featured a napkin adorned with a personalized place card, expertly printed in dusty blue ink, mirroring the elegance of the wedding invitation suite, and bearing the name of each guest. The reception’s culinary offerings were tastefully presented using signage that harmonized perfectly with the color and style of the wedding invitation suite and other day-of paper elements.
[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]The couple truly leaned into personal touches throughout their wedding weekend. From customized welcome bags to partaking in The Alisal’s traditions, friends and family were brought together in a space that truly embodied Talya and Chris’s relationship and love for one another. Most of the wedding guests stayed on the ranch for the weekend, turning it into a family- and friend-filled property no matter which way you turned.

The groom’s parents got into the ranch spirit and kicked off the weekend with a “Ranch Chic” rehearsal dinner at the rodeo, where guests had a chance to wear their best elevated rodeo-inspired outfits and danced to music played by Talya’s cousin’s band. Talya’s mom baked nine loaves of her famous challah for Shabbat, since it wouldn’t be a true Cooper family Friday evening without it. Though her family has historically included raisins in the bread, they’ve added plain challah to the mix as it’s Chris’s favorite!

At the wedding reception, Talya’s childhood best friend, Lauren, sang “If I Ain’t Got You” as their first dance song. Though Talya and Chris asked Lauren to sing, it was a touching surprise to all other guests, who then joined Lauren in singing an encore of the song and slow-danced alongside the bride and groom (at their request!) as their dance wrapped up.

The weekend concluded up with a cozy Sunday brunch at The Alisal, where guests got their caffeine fix, had one last chance to wear their cowboy boots, and pored over photobooth pictures from the night prior before heading back home.

Talya and Chris wanted to add that their picture-perfect wedding would not have been possible without an incredible team. They want to thank everyone who didn’t judge their meticulous Excel sheets, kept them calm and excited, and helped bring their dream weekend to life every step of the way. This allowed them to share one of the most important moments of their lives with their family and friends and remain present the entire time. The couple has spent the last months reliving every moment from the weekend and know that every corner of The Alisal will be filled with memories when they visit each year.

Intimate Pastel Normandy Wedding In Shades Of Spring

[section title=”The Planning”]

Our vision was to create a once in a lifetime, French country chic wedding celebration that is romantic and intimate with distinctive fine art touches and a gentle nod to the Normandy region!

[field title=”Proposal Story”]The couple was engaged in November of 2019. The groom planned a whole day, starting with the Met – one of the bride’s favorite places in the world. Afterward, they went to Central Park – another one of her favorite places – for a long walk. They ended up at their “spot” which is a hill nestled in some trees and when the bride turned around to settle in, the groom was down on one knee. Romantic Nature-Inspired Wedding in the Maryland Countryside

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]shades of blue, white and green[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]Nora and Benjamin wanted a very romantic and relaxed wedding day. This nature-inspired design honored Earth Day with a focus on bringing the outdoors in. [/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]Benjamin secretly asked Nora’s co-workers to get her off work early. When Nora arrived home, Benjamin asked Nora if she wanted to get dressed up and go out to dinner. As Nora was walking to the car, her mom stopped her and told her that she wanted to show her something around the house. As Nora walked around the house, Benjamin was standing there waiting to propose. To celebrate, they headed to one of their favorite restaurants in Annapolis where they are wine club members, Cooper’s Hawk. Nora was definitely surprised as she thought he was going to propose the next day instead when family was in town. [/field]

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]Nora bought her dress from a local boutique in Baltimore called Francesca’s Bridal. Even though Nora wanted the wedding day filled with very minimal florals and lots of greenery, the dress she was drawn to had monochromatic touches of little flowers. She ended up selecting the Nala dress by Enzoani. She also surprised Benjamin by making him a custom tie with the same pattern from her dress. She made the tie herself with a little assistance from her grandmother who is a very talented seamstress. [/field]
[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]N/A[/field]
[field title=”Groomsman Attire”]Since their brothers were their “man” of honor and best men, they decided on matching suits from Jos A. Bank. In order to have a slight difference, Nora’s brother wore a blue tie and Benjamin’s brother wore a green tie. [/field]

[field title=”Food & Drink”]With a lot of guests coming from out of town, they wanted to share a little Maryland flare with mini crab cakes during cocktail hour. They also passed chicken piccata bites, sweet & spicy cauliflower bites and house made brick oven pizza. For their signature cocktail, they selected a refreshing blueberry lemonade crush. The main highlight of the evening, though, was the famous spring pea salad from Linwoods that everyone was raving about! [/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]It has always been Nora’s dream to get married outside, and Benjamin has always wanted to get married in a church where his brother could marry them. LynnAaron of Nouvelle Weddings gave them the best of both worlds! She proposed creating a double arch to signify walking into a “special place,” to take place in the gardens of the venue. It unfortunately rained on their wedding day (seems appropriate since it was Earth Day), so they ended up getting married inside, but the double floral archway filled the space beautifully. And with the greenery-laden chandeliers, spiral staircase, and floral corners, it truly felt like we brought the outside in, and it might have been even better than plan A. [/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]Nora and Benjamin love sweets but not cake, so they opted for mini desserts instead. They offered guests a dessert buffet full of decadent sweets like Pecan Diamonds, S’more Squares, Raspberry Cheese Cake and Blue & Green French Macarons.[/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]Nora walked down the aisle to a very traditional song called Nocturne from o.9 No.2 for Piano by Chopin. They ended the night dancing to Love You Anyway by Luke Combs in their reception space as a private moment to soak it all in one last time! [/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]In selecting their wedding date, having the wedding on Earth Day was an option and that made Nora very excited. She is a big advocate for the planet and keeping it clean! In regards to her invitations and paper goods, she wanted to make sure the paper was either recycled or kept to a minimum. In talking with LynnAaron at Nouvelle, they discovered paper that could be planted to make wildflowers. Megan from Ruby the Fox sourced planted paper and letter pressed their invites in a beautiful dusty blue. With the wildflower seeds peeking through, the suite has an organic-inspired elegance that is both unique and meaningful to the couple. They also used that paper again for a lot of the day-of details, including the table numbers and menus. Nora is planning on planting all of the RSVP responses at their house to remember their loved ones and special day by. [/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]A big shared hobby in Nora and Benjamin’s relationship is crocheting. When they met, Nora didn’t know how to crochet but in the time they spent together, Benjamin taught her how to do it. Knowing they loved plants and crocheting, LynnAaron with Nouvelle suggested they create mini plants and pots to display with their seating chart at the wedding. So the months leading up the wedding, they ended up crocheting about 10 mini plants and pots. Nora’s mother also loves crocheting and she made the white floral ring bearer pillows to tie it all together. [/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]Another special detail was Nora’s custom Vans! When Nora’s cousin received the invitation in the mail and saw the pattern on the envelope, she knew what she was gifting Nora for her wedding. Nora LOVES Vans so her cousin knew this would be a perfect gift that she could not only wear for her wedding but after as well! Her cousin got custom white hightop Vans made with the design from her wedding envelope liner on them in the beautiful dusty blue so it would pop. They were perfect for Nora to wear on the dance floor! [/field]

Romantic Nuptials Amidst Enchanting Forest: A Wedding Straight Out of a Fairy Tale

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]

The wedding colors are blush, light blue, neutral and greenery.

[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

On the picturesque day of May 22nd, 2022, Jessica and Christopher celebrated their wedding at the enchanting Langdon Hall, nestled amidst the lush Carolinian forest in Cambridge, Ontario. The venue, with its opulent ambiance and breathtaking surroundings, provided the perfect backdrop for their heartfelt nuptials. The entire affair exuded an air of romance and luxury, akin to a fairy tale, leaving an indelible impression on all who attended. What made this wedding unique was the exquisite correlation between the bride’s attire and the reception decor. Jessica’s stunning evening dress, the Tuileries by Monique Lhuillier, was an artistic masterpiece. Its botanical print pique gazar fabric and off-shoulder billowing sleeves exuded a whimsical aura, reminiscent of the Bridgerton era. The iconic Tuileries gown set the tone for the wedding, and the decor and color palette reflected its design, creating a magnificent and unforgettable ambiance with elegant garden vibes. In summary, Jessica and Christopher’s wedding was an unforgettable event that showcased their love in the most romantic setting imaginable. The attention to detail and the unique correlation between the bride’s attire and the reception decor made it an affair to remember for years to come.

[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]Over a decade ago, Christopher and Jessica crossed paths in their university cafeteria over breakfast. She wanted more eggs, he wanted more eggs – they were quick to bond over their large appetite that morning. Little did they know what a wide-reaching effect a moment as simple as a conversation about eggs would have on the rest of their lives. Soon after, their love naturally flourished through their shared interest in food and films, as well as a collaborative biology project late in the academic year that became the start to their inevitable journey together.

Post grad came the hard truth, two love-struck students forced to return to their homes on opposite coasts. Through four subsequent years of long-distance, came lots of late-night facetime calls and virtual movie nights. That is, until Christopher called Jessica on the fateful day of the residency match and said, This is not a joke, I’m going to…Alberta! As their relationship evolved during their time in Alberta, Jessica made the decision to move back to Toronto with Chris. He knew he wanted this to be their forever; on October 18th, 2020, on an extremely rainy day in Muskoka, the sun seemed to break from the clouds when he made it official. Such love stories like this of Jessica and Christopher, tug on our heartstrings and serve as an important reminder that what we do matters and is something we will never take for granted. Part of what we love about our work is the blessing it is to be a part of creating the most memorable day in a couple’s lives together.[/field]

Inspired By 18th-Century France And Timeless Elegance In The Loire Valley Countryside

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”The Inspiration”]

During the planning process, Britt Jones drew inspiration from 18th-century France and the charming, timeless interiors of Château Du Grand-Lucé. This fusion of historical influences and contemporary design principles resulted in a space that exudes both sophistication and enduring beauty.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]To compliment this stunning chateau, it is important to create a color palette that seamlessly aligns with the personality of the property. Blue, soft pinks, orange hues, and strong black accents allowed a great jumping-off point to craft this magical shoot. [/field]
[field title=”The Venue”]

Château Du Grand-Lucé is a sprawling property situated in the quaint and charming Loire Valley countryside. Its immaculate gardens and exquisite interiors offer the perfect destination for a luxury wedding in France.

The bride wore two looks, one for the ceremony and one for the reception. The ceremony look was a ruffled dress layered in pearls designed by Dylan Parienty Paris. The secondary look, also designed by Dylan Parienty, was more light and airy with a statement shape to it. It had a bow beaded into the neckline and a train that left everyone speechless.

The inspiration for the florals from, Les Ephemeres, was to create a seamless transition from the gardens of the château grounds into a style that kept that organic French feel. Each of the blooms utilized looked like they could have been harvested on-site and hand-picked from the garden.

[/field]
[field title=”Favorite Design Element”]

My favorite design element of the day was the two gorgeous gowns from Dylan Parienty Paris. They were both showstopping pieces that matched the level of drama needed for the gorgeous Château Du Grand-Lucé. The combination of elegance and drama in these gowns elevated the entire event.

[/field]
[field title=”Tips To Pull Off The Look”]I would recommend really playing off of the architecture, landscaping, and design elements of your venue. Especially when getting married in a French Château, there is so many color palettes to pull from and rich historical heirlooms to play off of for a design. Using it’s already stunning bones and enhancing those can make pure magic.[/field]
[field title=”DIY Moments”]

Our stationery artist, Lenka Calligraphy, dedicated her skilled hand to craft a breathtaking front-facing rendering of Chateau du Grand Luce. The result is an exquisite work of art that captures the essence and grandeur of this magnificent chateau.

A Vibrant Wedding Celebration at Villa Miani Inspired by the Eternal City

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]The color palette included hues of blue, sage green, and Avery’s beloved favorite… orange. Given that orange trees grow on practically every other street corner in Rome, it felt practically effortless to include this vibrant color throughout the wedding weekend in the artwork, floral, and tabletop elements. [/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]Even before ever selecting the venue or settling on Rome as the choice of destination for the wedding, Avery and Devin had a clear vision for their celebration. Their preference was to host an intimate ceremony and dinner party somewhere in Italy, where the surroundings would be uniquely Italian. After all, why jet off to Europe to get married if you end up doing so in an uninspired or uninteresting room, garden, or terrace that could just as easily be found in any American city? The historical significance, architecture, and epic sunsets in Rome made this city the perfect choice, and Villa Miani, situated atop Monte Mario, the highest hill in Rome, gave everyone the most incredible panoramic views of some of the most historic and stunning architecture in all the world. For the welcome party, we selected the Secret Garden at Hotel de Russie, a five star luxury resort located in the heart of Rome. The location gave guests a delightful excuse to stroll the short distance to and from the party, taking in the sights of nearby landmarks such as Piazza del Popolo and the Spanish Steps. Once both venue selections were finalized, we had such fun infusing each event and touch point of the guest experience with Avery and Devin’s color palette and overall vibe, while leaning in to Italian culture, aesthetics, and culinary excellence. [field title=”Food & Drink”]For the casual welcome party at Hotel de Russie, pizzas and pasta were served family style. The menu included Italian classics such as margherita pizza, meatballs with tomato sauce, and cacio e pepe. The following evening for the wedding night, guests enjoyed an assortment of tray-passed hors d’oeuvres at cocktail hour, before sitting down to a beautiful coursed personal preference dinner, where they were served their choice of seabass, pork filet, or beef. [/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]On the wedding day, we partnered with the talented team at Studio M, to create an organic, textural floral look that paired beautifully with patterned linens and our color palette. The flowers included white delphinium, campanula, ranunculus, peonies, and sweet peas, with a variety of foliages and delicate green hanging amaranthus. We chose to use only white flowers for the ceremony, but let the color palette build as a crescendo throughout the evening, adding tan and orange taper candles to the dinner table, along with orange asclepia flowers, fresh orange citrus fruits, and a beautifully vibrant orange Oscar De La Renta china pattern. Avery loves classic stripes, which we included throughout the celebration via the table linens and stationery elements, including the menus and place cards. [/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]In lieu of a traditional wedding cake, guests enjoyed an abundance of desserts and Italian treats after dinner, selecting from a display that included créme brulèe with caramel sauce, profiteroles, bread pudding, chocolate Bavarian cream, fruit tarts, chocolate fondant, coffee and amaretti cookie parfaits, and more. [/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”][/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]Avery, Devin, and their family love to play card games. It was a no brainer to include custom decks of cards in the welcome bags that were distributed to guests upon arrival in Rome. We used watercolor artwork that Avery painted herself as the back of the cards and to include on the card boxes. [/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]For the invitation suite and ceremony programs, we included Devin’s original family crest. [/field]

A Wedding Planner Says “I Do” at Viansa Sonoma!

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]Variety of greens, mauve, taupe, Nude, earth and white. [/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]Italian vibes in a relaxed California setting. Utilizing textures and pattern to give a lived-in feeling with wood elements and custom made linen napkins.
Our design centered around the idea of understated luxury and really focusing on moods in each nook of the event. From the ceremony floral baskets, so the shape of the chairs, we wanted the details to really speak for themselves and make guest feel like they were in the yard of a Villa. At cocktail hour, guests were escorted to the vista point to take in the sweeping views of Sonoma valley. Moving into the reception space, we focused on the stone terrace and grapevine covered walls as our anchor, with layered details and custom elements throughout. Our florals were created to give a loose and elegant feel, again with texture and interest in color.
Elements like fabric cocktail and seating chart banners, a champagne tower and the twinkle ceiling in the dancing space allowed the mood to change from experience to experience. [/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]-Morgan and Brandon were vacationing in Italy in August 2021. Brandon was planning on proposing to Morgan during the second half of their trip in Capri, but after seeing the stunning Pantheon view from their hotel room’s balcony in Rome, he knew that the balcony was the perfect place to propose to Morgan. One night as the sun was setting behind the Pantheon and while getting ready for a dinner at their favorite restaurant in Rome, Brandon told Morgan that he wanted to take her photo on the balcony from the piazza below. Although it was very unlike Brandon to suggest a photo shoot of any sort, Morgan didn’t see the signs of Brandon proposing that night – she thought that it would most likely happen in Capri! Excited and nervous, Brandon went outside to the piazza to take the photos of Morgan from their balcony and on his way back into the hotel, he told the hotel concierge he was about to propose to his girlfriend on the balcony facing the Pantheon, and asked them to film the it. The concierge ran out into the piazza to film the proposal, while Brandon ran up to the room to propose to Morgan. On August 27, 2021 Brandon got down on one knee confessing his love to Morgan on their hotel balcony in front of hundreds of people in the piazza below. Next thing Morgan and Brandon heard was “Bellisma” shouted from below in the piazza. The rest of their trip was spent celebrating in Rome and Capri! [/field]

At first, Chicago residents Ashley and Jeff thought the Windy City might be the perfect place to tie the knot, but Ashley’s ties to San Diego and Jeff’s epic proposal there quickly changed their plans. After falling in love with Park Hyatt Aviara, they tapped Erica Vanco of Estera Events to craft all the details. The celebration centered around bright florals with a modern twist, and the theme extended beyond the beautiful flowers to intricate decor rentals provided by Concept Event Design and San Diego Interior Foliage. The ceremony took place at Park Hyatt Aviara’s stunning Palm Court, in the heart of the resort and surrounded by ornate architecture, palm trees and a stunning view of the Pacific coastline. The reception took place in the Avalon Ballroom and featured Ben Mallare Events & Entertainment signature seven-piece party band.

Park Hyatt Aviara catered the event, with a team led by Erica Ryberg and Emily Koch. Ashley and Jeff selected Park Hyatt Aviara’s signature entree: natural filet of beef and Maine lobster tail. The entrée was accompanied by cremini mushroom sauce, basil beurre blanc, seasonal vegetables and scalloped potatoes. The couple’s signature cocktail was an Espresso Martini with cold brew, Kahlúa, and Titos (garnished with a coffee bean, of course.) Later in the evening, Ashley and Jeff treated guests to late night bites with miniature pizzas and miniature grilled cheese sandwiches: perfect late night snacks!

Lily of Lily Roden Floral Studio says, “Ashley was so fun because she was not afraid of color! She loved the look of bougainvillea, as it reminded her of her time in California and knew she wanted to see it on her wedding day. We used a lot of fuchsia, hot pink, blush and peach florals. We accented every arrangement with silk bougainvillea. Her bouquet featured a spring bounty of garden roses, ranunculus, Scabiosa and Jasmine. We tried to repurpose as much from ceremony as possible. The aisle pieces became the centerpiece of the band stage! It was fun to see so much color against a beautiful white dance floor.”

Smooth, sweet and simple! Park Hyatt Aviara‘s Pastry team crafted a classic champagne blackberry cake: blackberry cake, blackberry preserve, and mascarpone cream.

The bridal party entered the ballroom to much fanfare as Ben Mallare Events & Entertainment performed the 90s smash “California Love.” Ashley and Jeff shared their first dance surrounded by cold sparklers, cruising through a custom mix that included “Always Be My Baby” by Mariah Carey, “Sway” by Michael Bublé, and “Sweet Lovin'” by Sigala. After toasts concluded, the band took guests on a whirlwind tour of dance favorites before switching over to a Ben Mallare DJ to round out the evening.

How to Guarantee a Stress-free Bridesmaid Dress Shopping Experience

You’ve popped the question, they’ve said yes, now it’s time to dress your besties! Shopping for bridesmaid dresses can be a bit overwhelming. You want your ladies to look and feel great; that means accommodating different styles, budgets, and body types. It’s also important that their looks  are cohesive with the wedding as a whole (No pressure, right?!). Don’t worry – here are a few tips that will help you avoid that unwanted stress throughout the shopping process!

Sally Pinera Photography

1. Plan Ahead

It’s a good idea to wait until you have your color palette and your wedding gown selected to go shopping for your bridesmaid dresses. This will ensure that you are on-point with your color scheme and that your girls’ looks complement your gown and don’t compete or clash with it.

Browse bridesmaid dresses online to see what style(s) you like and what colors are available, so you’re not asking your bridesmaids to find something that simply isn’t on the market. Don’t forget to keep in the mind the price point on the dresses you like, as well!

2. Talk Budget

Asking someone to be in your wedding party is a way of recognizing how much their friendship means to you and your partner. It is also a BIG commitment on their part, both in time and money. Make sure that you are sensitive to this when shopping for bridesmaid dresses.

Talk to your bridesmaids individually about their personal budgets and make sure the dresses that you are considering are within a price point that your friends are comfortable with. If some of your bridesmaids are not comfortable with the price, offer to help them pay for the dress (either partially or in full). This is not expected, but it is a thoughtful gesture that will go a long way.

When discussing the budget with your ladies, make sure to take alterations expenses into account. If the dress is floor-length they will most likely need it hemmed, and almost everyone will need the bodice taken in unless the style you choose is adjustable.

3. When and How to Shop

This really depends on what retailer(s) you choose to go with. Each store, even each dress within a store, can have a different lead-time. Some bridesmaid dresses are similar to wedding gowns in that they are made-to-order and can take several months before they are ready to ship. This being said, we encourage you to start shopping at least eight months in advance. This allows two months for you to finalize your decision and run it by your bridesmaids before they need to place their order.

Fortunately, most bridesmaid dresses can be ordered online, so an in-store outing is no longer required. If you do want that in-store moment, we encourage you to pick one bridesmaid to share it with (preferably your MOH, or a bridesmaid that lives in your city). Have fun, take pics, but keep it between you two–you don’t want the other ladies getting FOMO.

Keep in mind that bringing your entire bridal party to an in-store shopping excursion may sound fun in theory, but it can be overwhelming to have that many personalities and opinions in one room.

4. Mix & Match

In these modern times, many designers and retailers have made it possible to order a plethora of silhouettes in the same color. This allows your bridesmaids to choose the design that allows them to feel their best on your wedding day while staying inside your color palette. We suggest narrowing it down to three or four silhouettes you enjoy and that fit the dress code of your wedding. From there, you simply tell your bridesmaids what color(s) to order and let them choose between the specified silhouettes–super easy, right?

Katie Lopez Photography

5. Consider Regular Retail

You don’t need to limit yourself to typical “bridesmaid” dresses if that’s simply not your style. Feel free to look into other retailers that carry formal wear–this offers its own advantages. With traditional retailers, there is usually no lead-time. Your bridesmaids can try the dress on right then and there and buy it straight off the rack.  This will save them cost of shipping and potentially the cost of alterations if the dress already fits just right (we still suggest that they budget for alterations, though – just in case!)

Katie Grant Photography

6. Have Their Measurements Taken by a Professional

It is not uncommon for every person in your bridal party to live in another part of the country, or in another country altogether. This can complicate things a bit.

If your bridesmaids have a brick and mortar location near them that carries the dress, encourage them to go into that retailer and have their measurements taken by the sales consultant before ordering.

If any of your bridesmaids do not have a physical location near them that carries the dress, have them go to a nearby tailor, or anywhere that does alterations. Ask the alterations specialist to take their measurements. They will usually need measurements for their bust, waist, hips, and hollow-to-hem (or length) to ensure that they order the proper size.

No matter where they end up going to have their measurements taken, there are a few items that they should wear or bring with them to the appointment. In order to get the proper measurements, your bridesmaids should wear the undergarments that they will be wearing the day of your wedding (bra, corset, shapewear, etc.). These undergarments can change the shape of your body as well as your measurements, so it is important to take them into account.

While your bridesmaids may not have the exact shoes selected that they will wear to your wedding, they should bring heels of a similar height when they are having their measurements taken. Bridesmaid dresses usually come in a standard length. If it looks like the dress may be too short in the shoes they’ve selected they may want to request that extra length be added to the hem (there is usually a fee for this) or find another pair of shoes to wear with the dress.

Make sure that your bridesmaids refer to the size chart for their specific dress when selecting which size to order. If they are in-between sizes, opt for bigger rather than smaller. It is easy to take a dress in – to let it out, not so much (EEK!).

7. Send Reminders

It’s a good idea to follow up with your ladies and make sure everyone has ordered their dress. You should check in with each of them about six months before your wedding (depending on the dress’s lead-time, of course.)

Around two months out, send a reminder for your girls to schedule their alterations appointments. This is also a good time to touch base with any other styling requests like shoes, clutches, etc. Try not to be too specific with the accessories, being in your bridal party is a big investment as-is, it’s best not to ask them to buy matching designer shoes to go with their dress. Instead, ask them to wear something most women already have in their closets like nude pumps or a metallic (something neutral that will complement the dress!)

Happy shopping!

Exactly What To Look For In Your Second (And Third) Wedding Look

Have you started gown shopping but just can’t decide which one is THE ONE? Maybe that’s because you’re destined to have more than one (gown that is). These days we’re seeing more and more brides change into a second and even third look on their big day. And why not? We say it’s your party and you’ll change if you want to. No one does multiple looks better than one of our fave brands, Grace Loves Lace, so we talked to their founder and Creative Director, Megan Ziems to get her expert advice on shopping for multiple looks. Here’s what she had to say…

What should you look for in a second/third dress? Is it an opportunity to be a bit riskier with your choice of gown and wow the room for your big reception entrance? Or, is it meant to be more comfortable for eating or dancing, etc.?

I would say every dress, no matter if it’s for your ceremony or reception, needs to be luxurious yet comfortable. We’ve seen a clear trend of brides choosing to change it up for their second or third dresses and I think this comes back to women now realizing that one dress cannot truly represent both or all sides of them. Most women feel pulled between being that classic beauty on the day whilst also celebrating their fun-loving carefree side. So it’s liberating for the bride to think, “I can do both.”

We recently dressed Tish Cyrus for her beautiful wedding in Malibu. Tish chose our Zsa Zsa gown as her second dress and you can see why. Not only did she look incredible in the fitted silhouette, but Zsa Zsa’s innovative Lycra fabrication reflects beautifully in the day and night – the perfect party gown!

Should you choose a theme for your gowns so there is an element of consistency?

I think it’s most important that you are getting a gown that feels romantic, perhaps an element of tradition, classic timelessness for the ceremony. That means the reception or after-party gown can be all about having fun. A great combination for instance would be Nathalia for the ceremony paired with a gown like Zsa Zsa for the reception. I’m the first to say, there really are no rules when choosing your bridal wardrobe! We tend to relate to all different types of styles in our everyday lives, and it shouldn’t be any different for your wedding festivities. We see brides opt for more traditional lace for their ceremony, and more adventurous fabrics and silhouettes for their reception. Almost every bride can appreciate how hard it can be to choose ‘the one’ when wedding dress shopping, so being able to choose a wild card for their second or third dress means they can cover all bases.

What advice would you give brides who are shopping for multiple dresses for different parts of their day? Should they experiment with different fabrics, styles, silhouettes, etc.?

I would say just have fun with it! Your wedding is a unique opportunity to express your personal style. We see brides choose long-sleeved lace gowns for their ceremony as a nod to tradition, backed up by a fun, silky gown for their reception that shines with the disco ball on the dancefloor. The true beauty of choosing additional gowns for your wedding is that it allows you to embrace being your true self at each moment of your celebrations.

For brides who can’t afford multiple dress changes, are there any key accessories that could really change up a dress?

An easy and cost-effective way to get two looks with one gown is to make sure you wear a veil for your ceremony. A veil sets the scene, gives you your security blanket for that nerve-racking aisle and vow moment and completely transforms your look. After the ceremony, remove it and add some statement jewelry–you can even do a quick lip color or hair change. A shoe change can also complete this transformation, particularly if the gown has a split on the skirt. When it comes to styling, less is definitely more! So stick to key pieces that feel quintessentially you. After all, you want to feel your most confident on your special day.

How can brides best put their own spin on their wedding style?

It is all about knowing what suits you, and knowing what is true to you and your own personality and style. Have the confidence to back yourself. If you’re a shoe girl in everyday life, then BE a shoe girl on your wedding day–make that a moment. If you’re not feeling inspired then Pinterest is a great place to start – create a board of everything that jumps out at you, and you will soon see some clear consistency of what you connect with.

There’s an opportunity at every touch point to put your own spin on your wedding day but choose some key moments or features that are going to make that bigger difference, then choose some finer details. I always love to see women who are authentic and embrace their true selves. It’s those women that I’m most inspired by, the women who you can see their personality shine through their wedding photos. Some of my favorite ways to add your own spin to your wedding look include adding personalized embellishments to your styling pieces or integrating vintage accessories into your look. It’s always amazing to see brides who have tied in a personal element to their wedding look, such as repurposing jewelry or accessories that have been passed down through generations.

“Casual Elegance” at This Napa Valley Garden Party

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]Earth Tones, Browns, Tans, Neutrals, white, green, orange, yellow, blue[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]Our overall vibe was “casual elegance” in order to match the Napa aesthetic and the natural beauty of the venue. We used an earth tone color palette to compliment the vineyard, trees and water on the property, with pops of citrus to brighten up the decor. Some other words we threw around were relaxed, romantic and natural, and we turned to ceramics and garden parties for inspiration. We loved the idea of al fresco dining during sunset and a dance floor under the stars so we opted for no tent or covering (thanks to Napa’s 0% chance of rain in June). Bash Please played a huge part in the creative execution of the weekend – they understood our vision and elevated it.[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]After 10 years of dating, Kyle proposed during a sunset walk on the beach at my summer home (At our wedding, we gave out matches that said, “It’s about damn time”). We were enjoying a beer, wearing workout clothes, with no one in sight. Ideal proposal in my book. I had a ring appointment the next morning, so you could say I was not expecting it. The weekend was filled with surprises, from a family lobster dinner to a beach party with friends who flew cross-country. It was such a memorable weekend.[/field]

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]I found my dress at my first appointment with my mom, MIL and best friend. It had everything I wanted – long sleeves, high neck, lace, buttons and a train. I couldn’t decide whether I wanted to remove a layer of tulle to show off more of the lace, so the seamstress suggested we separate the dress in two. She was a miracle worker! For the ceremony, I wore the top layer for a more romantic vibe. For the reception, I removed the tulle which made for a form fitting complete lace look. It was so fun to wear it both ways. Thanks to Vera Wang and L’elite Bridal for my dream dress.[/field]
[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]I love both design and fashion and knew I wanted to have fun with the bridesmaids dresses. I made a mood board of dresses that was in line with our wedding color palette as creative inspo for all the girls, which really seemed to help them during their search. It was really fun to work with each friend to find a dress they loved and felt comfortable in so that they could rewear. After a ton of rejections (sorry, ladies), we finally landed on a collection of oranges, yellows and neutrals that worked SO well together and looked unbelievable with the green backdrop.[/field]

We settled on family style for a more casual vibe, but the meal still felt extremely elevated thanks to Jessica Lasky and her team. We shipped our favorite Italian wine to enjoy alongside a Napa cab. People still talk about the Cacio e pepe a year later.[/field]

[field title=”Wedding Cake”]Kyle’s mom is an incredible baker and is always making cakes for family and friends, so it was a no-brainer to have her make our wedding cake. She baked it in Boston, froze it, carried it on the plane with her and hand-delivered it to our caterer in Calistoga. It was her speciality carrot cake and the talk of the night.[/field]

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]We surprised our guests at the end of the night with a silent disco to keep the party going past Napa’s noise ordinance. It was our version of an after party, and was such a great way to end the night after an unbelievable performance from Patrick and the LVBs. It was also hilarious removing the headphones to hear everyone’s terrible singing voices. Pro tip: If you aren’t into the traditional jazz wedding band like us, consider searching for “entertainment bands” instead.[/field]

They edited the super 8 film into a 6 minute video that is SO special and unique. Relaxed Elegance At This Chic and Colorful Mexico Wedding

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]

Red, Pink, Blue, Cream, and Black were united in this fashionable destination wedding. The reception was an elegant, relaxed, and fun affair where these colors cohabitated to create a truly unique look.

[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]The reception was held in the signature restaurant “Alebrije,” overlooking the pool and sunset, which made it truly magical. Table settings were combined between round tables with linens and rectangle ones that showed the beautiful wood, contrasting perfectly with black chairs to give it more edge. Red and pink florals were complementing the classical Mexican decor at the table. From artisanal plates and glassware to hand-made candelabras, it was a truly Mexican-style table. To make the design stand out and break the typical wedding style, it was decided that the color black had to be added to balance out the color palette, making it a unique combination.[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]

From the bride… Carly and Austin met in April of 2016 at Coachella Music Festival, they were introduced by mutual friends, together ever since and the rest is history. Six years almost exactly to the date, the two were married in San Jose Del Cabo at the breathtaking Las Ventanas al Paraiso. Los Cabos is not only a beautiful destination, but it is also a home away from home for the couple who have enjoyed countless times in Mexico with family and friends, enjoying all the beauty and culture Baja has to offer – surfing – art – food – libations – architecture – music, etc. Carly and Austin reside in Southern California living there happily ever after.

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]It was a truly Mexican-style table. To make the design stand out and break the typical wedding vibe, we decided to add black to balance the color palette, making it a unique combination. Carly and Austin always knew that the most special place for them to have the ceremony was the famous “Plaza” in Las Ventanas Al Paraíso. The iconic tree became the perfect backdrop when it was covered in pink bougainvilleas that contrasted beautifully with the ocean. Carly walked down the aisle to “Lovely Day” by Bill Withers. The whole space was covered with baskets and clay pots of different flowers that made the “I do’s” even more romantic. Carly and Austin finished the whole thing by walking to “Bittersweet Symphony” by The Verve.

A Modern Tropical Maui Wedding With Organic Elements

[section title=”The Planning”]

The wedding colors were green, black and gold.

[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]We both love modern decor, however we didn’t want to go overboard with that and take away from the beautiful venue. Because of that we incorporated a lot of organic elements like natural wood chairs and tables for both the ceremony and reception that were highlighted by beautiful lush greenery we brought in to compliment the tropical surroundings.

[field title=”Proposal Story”]Our story began exchanging messages on a dating app that quickly led to a first date. We both quickly knew that this time, something was different. [field title=”Florals & Decor”]To continue our modern Hawaiian theme, we used primarily native tropical greens. The Bird of Paradise is actually one of our favorite plants so we of course had to incorporate that in our table centerpieces as well as the wedding party’s boutonnieres and bouquets. In addition, we wanted to add some color to our landscape so had our florist add pops of coral and orange to warm up our guest table centerpieces. Flowers were a huge part of our wedding, and one of our biggest costs, but we personally believe they were worth every penny and truly made our wedding what it was. Since the beginning of planning we desired to have an elevated centerpiece over the wedding party table but being on the breezy Maui coast posed a difficult challenge to our design. We ended up having a metal wires attached to property trees to suspend our floating center piece and it turned out absolutely beautiful![/field]

Embracing Nature’s Beauty in the French Alps at Chateau de Meouilles

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]For the color palette, they drew inspiration from their favorite colors. The bride opted for the elegance of purple shades, while the groom chose natural green as his preference. These hues formed the foundation of their color scheme, which was further complemented by soft cream and mauve, creating an atmosphere of intimacy and timelessness.
[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]At the core of their aspirations lay a shared vision – the creation of an unforgettable experience for their beloved family and friends. Their aim was to fashion a celebration that not only brought them together but also took everyone on a remarkable voyage. They wanted their guests, who hailed from different corners of the world, to explore the beauty of nature in a distant land and celebrate this special occasion together.
With meticulous attention to detail, they crafted the wedding design, setting the mood and tone for their special day. They began by selecting keywords that encapsulated their desired wedding ambiance, eventually settling on “Intimate,” “Natural,” and “Timeless.” These words guided their choices in every aspect of the celebration.
[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]They first met in 2016 during the vibrant celebrations of the Songkran Water Festival in Phuket. It felt as though fate had intervened, bringing their paths together in the midst of a bustling street on a hot summer day. For them, it was undeniably love at first sight, as a powerful connection was forged in that magical moment.
From that day forward, they spent an entire week together, exploring the island, sharing laughter and stories, and gradually getting to know one another. However, the inevitable moment arrived when he had to return to France, marking the beginning of their long-distance relationship. Every six months, they embarked on journeys across the world to be reunited, experiencing both the wonders of the world and the depths of each other’s personalities.
In 2019, a life-changing decision was made: she moved to France, where her heart had found its true home with the love of her life. The culmination of their journey came during a boat trip to the Calanques National Park in the south of France in the summer of 2021. It was a beautiful summer day, and they were immersed in the splendor of nature, swimming and savoring the moment. As the sun began to set and cast its golden hues upon the waters, he knelt down and asked her for a lifetime together.

To begin, they chose a delectable Foie Gras Terrine infused with aged rum, accompanied by a mango chutney infused with vanilla.
For the main course, were presented two options: a beef fillet in a crust with duck foie gras or a Royal Dorado fillet, lovingly complemented by a lemony white butter sauce and a side of coconut milk-infused risotto. There was a selection of cheeses before concluding the meal with the Pièce montée, followed by sweets.[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]In harmony with the chosen mood and tone, they selected organic flower arrangements that enhanced the natural beauty of the surroundings. Incorporating elements such as wood, linen, and clay into the design, they added a touch of gold to infuse the decor with timeless elegance.[/field]

Introduction
I always dreamed of having a destination wedding to celebrate our love in beautiful, one-of-a-kind locations. This dream wasn’t just about us but it was an invitation to our dear family and friends to join us in an adventure to our favorite destination. Also, a wonderful opportunity to introduce my Thai family and friends to the captivating charm of France.
It was a celebration that went beyond borders, cultures, and languages, creating a beautiful journey of shared experiences that we will always remember.[/field]

From IDA ROSE EVENTS: Gena and Adam’s NY wedding was a true destination experience for their guests. The couple’s casual yet luxurious style was made known in each decision in detail throughout the day, and guest experience was key. The venue itself is a work of art, and our goal was to highlight the European influences found throughout the property. Little accents of Tuscan inspired decor peppered the day- such as the Limoncello escort display and long banquet style kings table with lush floral and a plethora of dusty blue tapered candles. A classic palette of blue and white set the tone for the beautiful June day, and even the tiny bit of rain that made an appearance right before their outdoor ceremony didn’t take away from the celebration. A deconstructed arch, and full aisle framing blooms made the already picturesque ceremony scene even more lovely, and cocktail hour in the gardens featured yummy signature drinks, a sprawling charcuterie spread, branded napkins and custom drink stirrers. The reception was a romantic candlelit occasion, with an al fresco feel thanks to the clear top tent. After dining at the guest tables featuring three different linen and table setting looks, guests danced the night away – followed by a bon fire after party!

[field title=”Proposal Story”]I was told that we were going to help with the engagement with one of Adam’s good friends, while I thought there could be a possibility we would get engaged I truly didn’t think it would happen that day. Adam lured me to the roof to “take pictures” of our friends’ proposal. I immediately knew when we got to the top of the stairs and non one else was there but us 500 roses and a poster with our pictures on it. I was in shock as it happened and really couldn’t get the words to express how excited I was- I think I stood in shock for a bit just staring at Adam laughing as he was down on one knee. This was all followed by our parents surprising us in our apartment with champagne (they were meeting for the first time!!) and then the finale of it all was a surprise engagement party with friends. I felt like the luckiest girl in the world- and it was Adam so I knew how much time he spent curating this experience to make me happy![/field]
