The Backyard Wedding of your Dreams at the Bride and Grooms Home in Southern California!

There is something about backyard weddings…they have a different feel to them, intimate and a bit more personal as the homes typically have a special tie to the couple. For this backayard gem, the nuptials took place at the bride and groom’s own home covered in beautiful blooms by Swiss Bloom Designs and the sweetest decor from floral linens to hanging lanterns. Planned by Michelle Kelley Events, this backyard beauty is dream worthy and the photos by Christine Donee Photography are all the proof you need! Check it out below!

From Michelle of Michelle Kelley EventsA day that was timeless, intimate, and filled to the brim with joy was what Emily and Bill dreamed of when it came time to plan their wedding day. Their home, surrounded by lush and fragrant landscaping, provided the most perfect backdrop for their special day.

Guests were welcomed with perfect summer sips as they made their way through the stone pathway leading to the ceremony. Adorned by lush blooms by Swiss Bloom Designs, friends and family walked through the archway and were seated around a stunning ground arch. As Bill and Emily made their way to the center of the arch, love and joy-filled the space as they exchanged their vows.

Their special day continued into their tree-filled backyard where guests were treated to delicious bites and cocktails by Jennifer Naylor Catering while being carried away by the sounds of each other’s laughter and the perfectly paired tunes from Bob Gail Music. As the sun began to set and the lantern’s glow appeared, guests made their way to dinner and an evening filled with dancing.

Sparkling Chandleries, candlelit dining tables dressed in a delicate floral appliquéd linen, and a dancefloor-ready for memories to be cherished for years to come, guests were in awe of the transformation of where Emily and Bill were just married. The evening was consumed with loving speeches, a delicious dinner, sweets from Fantasy Frostings that would satisfy any sweet tooth, and the perfect tunes for everyone to dance the night away with.

This Sweet But Sophisticated Peaches And Cream Editorial Hits The Spot

Nothing says summer like peaches and cream, and this dessert-inspired editorial hits the spot. Built-in 1898, Liriodendron Mansion was designed in the Georgian Revival style and includes 108 acres of property. From the elegant invitations by Simply Rosie Designs to the delicate and romantic florals by Violet Florals, every inch of this editorial feels like a whipped cream dream. All the light and airy details are artfully captured in the beautiful imagery by Sarandon Smith Photography. Be sure to have a big helping of dessert in the full gallery.

From Sarandon Smith PhotographyWhites, creams, and peach tones were grounded by beautiful deep greens that created the exact effect we were dreaming of; the feel of something delicious topped generously with whipped cream for this peaches and cream wedding.

It was important to create inspiration that showed our LGBTQIA+ models within a design that broke from a specific feeling of “masculine” or “feminine” and just let them be themselves within a beautiful and timeless setting, which we found perfectly at the Liriodendron Mansion.

Our vendors ran with the vision. Violet Florals brought us deliciously light florals that paired perfectly with the rest of the details to accentuate the soft and creamy features of each element, and Simply Rosie Designs created a stationery suite that embodied the whipped cream dream we had. Nothing could top a celebration more perfectly than a ribbon-wrapped cake made to match one of our groom’s peachy pink suit jacket.

This All-Star Vendor Team Just Found Your Dream Venue for a French Fairytale Wedding

This utterly gorgeous shoot in France represents all that we love about bridal fashion AND the cheerful hues of spring! Laura Andréa Wedding planned this warm and inspiring day to perfection with the expert design help of Capsule de rêves. Emily Alarcon created a dreamy atmosphere with her thoughtful and conceptualized floral designs that truly showcased her expertise. After scrolling through these images, we’ve concluded that there’s no better location for a French castle fairytale than Chateau de La Baronnie. The ultimate dose of inspiration awaits in the full gallery, poetically captured by Laura Zorman!

From Laura Zorman… An intimate wedding full of colors in the open air in the middle of an olive grove with a modern and timeless touch. This editorial, inspired by a spring getaway, took place at the Château de la Baronnie in the South West of France, all based on a pastel color palette composed mainly of peach and coral tones. This shoot was organized and planned by the wedding planner, Laura Andréa Wedding. The images were captured by photographer Laura Zorman Photography as well as the delicate moments by videographer Jean 3 Petits Points Films.

The Château de la Baronnie was the ideal place to bring together the summer and peaceful atmosphere we wanted to create. When planning style and design. It was important to bring elements of the place and colors and textures of the surrounding environment. The decorations for the ceremony, cocktail, reception table and wedding cake were designed by designer Sarah Dream Capsule and her assistant Sainthya Details Depres. A reception table has been set with pastel blue napkins, gold-edged plates and mother-of-pearl cutlery soften the color of the wooden furniture.

A cocktail lounge area set in the middle of olive trees, where our models were able to enjoy and bask in the late afternoon sun. The floral designer Emily Alarcon decided to integrate fresh flowers in peach and coral colors with light pastel touches into the whole set, in order to enhance the natural beauty of the surrounding park. The stationery created by Insieme creations offers a romantic and elegant design that takes up the blue and gold color that we can find in the choice of tableware.

To end the spring dining atmosphere in a garden, a classic white cake was decorated with fresh flowers. The bride wears two outfits from designer Thibaut Lauvergne, the first dress which contains a bow in the front, definitely makes a fashion statement, and the second consisting of a long skirt and a crop top adding a touch of modernity while remaining classic in the silhouette. The groom’s navy blue tuxedo perfectly balances his sleek and modern outfits. Our team worked through a day creating a truly warm and inspiring atmosphere in an intimate setting for the ultimate outdoor wedding.

Wooden Wedding Decor We Love and How to Get the Look With Our Style Me Pretty Shop

When rustic weddings started to steal the hearts of every engaged couple out there, a trend was born and it hasn’t gone away over the course of the last 10, maybe even 15 years. The trend was (and still is) wooden decor and details, and in the earliest iterations, it was a lot more raw and DIY-forward, but in the past few years, it’s evolved into a much more elegant and elevated style choice. Don’t get us wrong, we are big fans of shabby chic curation, but we much prefer working wood into the overall wedding design with intention and an appreciation for timelessness. So, tree cookie coasters, burlap-swathed tablescapes, and mason jars tied with twine, while we’ll remember you fondly, we’re loving the more mature and inspired direction you’re taking these days.

Today, wooden decor and timbered touches don’t completely monopolize the look and feel of a wedding. You can weave wood into your details and design and still have a classic or romantic or bohemian or vintage or coastal casual vibe – and a lot of that versatility comes from the modern and minimalist strokes taken with the trend. Instead of mixed boards and plank-assembled signage, the looks are a lot cleaner and more streamlined. Wording is written with fine-tip white ink and more of a polished, calligraphy-style slant versus overly-whimsy flourishes. Overall, the wooden displays and thematics favored right now are a lot less clunky than they were way back when – a true realization of the ‘less is more’ play.

When we thought about the wooden pieces we’d offer in our Style Me Pretty Shop, we always wanted the mix-and-match appeal to be apparent. You can do traditional bright white, scalloped table numbers, but then pair them with wooden table number holders; you can do wooden Mr. & Mrs. placards at your main table, but then have them placed on stunning porcelain plates, in the company of metallic flatware and gold-rimmed chateau flutes; you can invite your guests into cocktail hour or draw them to your guestbook with wooden signboards surrounded by metallic votives and delicate greenery. Long story short,  you can use wood to spell things out for your close friends and family, but the decor doesn’t have to define your wedding.

We have so much more pretty on the horizon for our Shop, and we can’t wait to share new additions soon! But for now, we’re looking back on some of our favorite wooden moments from the Style Me Pretty archives and sharing similar looks that you can shop right now

A Wooden Welcome

A table like this was made for grazing. Your guests can drop off their cards, take a peek at some of your favorite pics (and take note of your killer wedding hashtag), and leave a very special entry in your guestbook.

Our 3-piece wooden sign set can work wonders for your cocktail hour mise-en-scène, which essentially greets them, goads them into grabbing a drink (although that won’t take much!), and gets their good lucks and well wishes in your guestbook.

Wooden Table Numbers

Like we said, for weddings in the 2020s, wood accenting – like these gorgeous wooden table markers – is subtle, but the impact is unforgettable.

While we don’t have wooden table numbers of our own, we do have silver and gold table number cards that can be stationed in our wooden table number holders

A Wooden Nod to the Newlyweds

A sweetheart chaise complete with Mr. & Mrs. wooden backers is the epitome of shabby chic, isn’t it?

It’s the first day of your happily ever after, so go ahead and make it count. Set up your seat with our sweet Mr. and Mrs. wood signs and try not to smile. Spoiler alert: it’s going to happen, so embrace it! #mrandmrsforlife

Minted Is Here To Save The Day With The Do’s and Don’ts For Your Wedding Invitations!

When it comes to writing out your invitations, there is tradition, there are rules, there is confusion! BUT, Minted is here to sort it all out for you with some do’s and don’ts of writing out your wedding day details for your guests! From plus ones to postage, we’ve got the ‘yays’ and the ‘nays’ all laid out for you, below. Plus a text your photo option for custom designs by the Minted team! Check it all out below!

Do’s

Send Your Invitations on TimeFirstly, it’s important to order your invitations four-five months out! It’s typical to mail the invitations six weeks in advance of your wedding date unless it’s a destination wedding or over a holiday. In this case, send out your invitations three months ahead of your big day.

Be Conscientious in Setting RSVP Deadlines…Ensure you give guests ample time to reply while leaving enough buffer time to finalize headcounts for your caterer and venue.

List “Plus-One” Names…While your guest will appreciate you extending the invite to their “plus one,” go the extra mile by including their full name on the invitation as well. Your guest and their plus-one will appreciate the personalization and be even more honored to celebrate your special day!

Mention the Host Names First…The hosts are typically the bride or groom’s parents. As a courtesy, you can consider including your significant other’s parents even if they are not funding the wedding. Another option is to say ‘Together With Their Parent’s/Families…”

Set the Tone for your Wedding Reception…Whether you choose classic wording, such as “reception to follow” or take a more bubbly approach with “join us for drinks, dinner, and dancing,” make sure you include details about your after-ceremony festivities!

Include Your Wedding Website…Don’t forget to include your wedding website on your invitation! This allows your attendees to view pertinent details about your wedding, such as the itinerary, travel, and where you are registered. It is also a wonderful way for your guests to learn more about your love story and view snapshots of you and your soon-to-be spouse!

Use Appropriate Titles and Ensure Correct Spelling…Make sure your guests know how important they are to you by spelling their full legal names correctly and using proper titles. Proofreading is so important – don’t be shy about asking your fiancé, parents, and bridesmaids to read over your invitations before sending them out.

Include Postage…If you’re requesting RSVPs via mail, your wedding guests should not have to pay even a cent to reply. As a side note: choosing postage that matches your palette and wedding theme is always a delightful touch! Plus, it will make for a beautiful flat lay shot of your wedding stationery!

Offer Meal Choices…If you are having a sit-down dinner, include your entrée options on the RSVP response cards. This way, you can ensure your guests will be served exactly what they want, and your caterer will thank you for the crystal-clear communication.

Don’ts

Create Alternate Guest Lists…Some couples create a “B-list” of guests in cases where many of their “A-list” guests decline. But, try to stick to your original list – your best friend’s cousin is either invited or not. Chances are “B-list” guests will discover their “A-list” friends received their invitations weeks earlier, and nobody enjoys feeling like an afterthought.

Mention Registry Information or Gifts on Your Invitation…Opt for including it on your wedding website instead as it is generally considered to be poor-form to include such details – or any mention of gifts – on the invitation. Your registry information is also likely to spread through word of mouth with your loved ones abuzz in anticipation of your big day!

Spell Out Courtesy Titles …The ONLY exception is “Doctor.”

Rush the Follow Up…It’s likely that your guests mailed their RSVPs just as the deadline approached. Wait three-four days (or even better, a week) before calling to follow up!

Let Your Guests Know You’re Having an “Unplugged” Ceremony…Save this detail for your wedding website. Also, be sure to display an explanatory sign that your guests can read before being seated and include this information in your wedding program. Your officiant can also make a brief announcement before the ceremony begins.

Minted offers unique designs by independent artists with unlimited rounds of customization with your dedicated Minted designer. From start to finish, Minted offers you a seamless process with FREE custom envelopes and FREE guest addressing to match your design, and these do’s and don’ts certainly don’t hurt!… And did you know that you can also text a photo to 22737 and they will send you back 5 save the date, event change, or engagement announcements selected especially for your photo?

Effortlessly Romantic Pastel Wedding Inspiration

Real-life husband and wife Heather and Aaron had the time of their lives at this styled shoot featuring every aspect of a wedding day. From getting ready shots to celebratory toasts, Ohana Events planned a celebratory day filled with stylish and memorable moments. Florals by Michaela Mantarian told the unique story of the day in a way that wows. Every special detail was artfully captured in the imagery by Rachael Kazmier Photography. Visit the full gallery for a closer look.

From Lindsey Taylor PhotographyThe vision for this styled shoot was elegant, romantic, and high-end. Inspiration was drawn from Providence Vineyard’s timeless airy barn, as well as the open vineyard just outside its doors. Rainbows of delicate pastel hues were incorporated in the color palate. From the invitations to the tablescape, the floral ceremony arch to the custom pastries, each detail was woven together to create an enchanting and luxurious affair.

The models, Heather and Aaron, are a real married couple who enjoyed every moment of the day. Heather gushed that the shoot was more beautiful than their budget wedding 8 years ago, and the vendor team was excited to make her feel like a princess. The bridesmaid models had lots of fun twirling and giggling with their fluffy bouquets. Bespoke Workshop is a day-long photography workshop and styled shoot for wedding photographers, hosted by Lindsey Taylor and Rachael Kazmier.

The day started with education, themed around running a wedding day and building a successful photography business, and finished with a gorgeous styled shoot. The shoot featured every aspect of a real wedding day – getting ready moments, a mock ceremony, bridal party, tablescapes, food and beverages, and of course, many bride and groom portraits. Attendees left with new knowledge, a full portfolio of a wedding day, and some new friends, too!

From Aurélia BoulengerThis wedding inspiration took place at the beautiful Château d’Ermenonville. The main inspirations for this project were the venue in itself and the beautiful gowns.

The gowns were the starting point when working on the color palette. We really wanted something fresh and colorful that would illustrate what could look like a stylish summer wedding in a French château.

The entire day came together beautifully to celebrate romance and love. It was an ode to style and elegance that will inspire today’s brides.

How to Perfect a Colorful Yet Understated Wedding Palette

Let’s be honest – we love a couple who isn’t afraid to be a little extra with their wedding palette. Sure, blush and green will always be a classic, but Nothing But Love Wedding and Events is proving to couples everywhere that colorful hues (done right) can totally stand the test of time. Today’s styled shoot at Brighton Abbey showcases a whimsical palette of coral, peach, yellow, pink, and blue hues. R Love Floral created lush yet understated blooms that will blow you away. Ready to see every last detail? Head to the full gallery – all taken by Heirloom Rose Photography!

From Heirloom Rose Photography… This editorial was inspired by all things color. Nothing But Love Wedding and Events and I had the goal to showcase a beautiful whimsical editorial with coral, peach, yellow, pink, and blues.

We wanted to create colorful wedding inspiration without being excessive. The table was beautifully adorned with some beautiful bright florals from R Love Florals, some of the flowers were some large luscious pink peonies!

Sherri from Monsherriink created a beautiful vellum menu that adds such romantic flair to the tablescape and as well some beautiful citrus place setting with vellum and calligraphy writing. We incorporated more color with some floral-infused signature drinks by HD Liquid Catering.

This followed by a statement cake placed alongside a pop of color with the coral velvet linen. Our beautiful model wore an exquisite and whimsical Beccar gown paired with some beautiful earrings from Haute Bride and a headpiece from Twigs and Honey.

Mamma Mia, This Mykonos Destination Wedding Is Satisfying Our European Summer Craving!

Hot pink and bright orange blooms by Petridis Floral Creations, a fashion forward tea-length gown, and the enchanting isle of Mykonos – these are just a few elements you can expect to see from todays gorgeous wedding planned by Nymfee! To say we’re obsessed is the understatement of the century. Get ready for instant dose of joy and vitamin D at the full gallery, captured to perfection by Anna Roussos!

Anna Roussos… Moving, visually striking, and full of love, Alexia and Sebastian’s vibrant Mykonos wedding highlighted the merging of two cultures. This handsome couple had subtle nods to their heritages, with the groom in neutral Greek tones and the bride displaying a brightly colored flower headpiece and layered ruffled wedding dress in honor of her Brazilian roots. Only their closest friends and family were present for the traditional Orthodox ceremony, followed by a stylish al-fresco outdoor dinner in the heat of a Greek summer night. Happy, colorful, and spirited, this was a Greece wedding occasion capable of brightening any mood.

From the wedding planner, Nymfee… Ask any wedding planner, what was the wedding trend in 2020, and they will all say: organizing the perfect wedding with the minimum number of guests, during an unprecedented pandemic, while still having fun (along with any fortune-telling abilities to predict the next COVID-19 prevention restrictions). And thus the micro-wedding or minimony became the norm. While appearing easier, the end-game was the same: the couple had to remember their W-Day as the best day of their lives. At Nymfee, when we started planning Sebastian’s and Alexia’s wedding, we were going big: 450 guests traveling to Mykonos from 5 continents, a huge beach party in one of the most prestigious venues on the island, and so on. Of course, we had contingency plans, but no one prepared us for the unexpected: a pandemic.

We decided we had to be creative and find inspiration in our roots. After all, why do people want to tie the knot? Because they love each other and they want to share their joy with their nearest and dearest. This feeling of intimacy was our guide in planning a meaningful ceremony against all odds. We merged Alexia’s (the bride) admiration for Frida Kahlo and her emblematic, colorful art, with Cycladic elements and aesthetics. Apart from the visual elements of the wedding, what we actually did was merging four cultures: Sebastian’s Greek-Polish heritage with Alexia’s Lebanese-Brazilian roots. We made sure the couple’s personality was present in all details. Alexia opted for peach, orange & pink flowers combined with Latin-style vases and details, escaping the traditional white or earth tones that the island is usually known for. Her headpiece was a chic new-era representation of a flaming woman, full of love and passion. Since the celebration was considerably smaller than originally planned, we wanted to make an impact with an intimate setup for dinner, creating a layout where the guests would circle the couple with love throughout the event. We also thought deeply about how to set it up in such a way that guests will enjoy their own space, respecting social distancing norms. The result was an idyllic, fairy-tale wedding with the couple’s closest friends and relatives (coming all the way from 4 different countries). As the old adage goes: “Love always finds a way”!

Dusty Blue & Mauve Old World-Inspired Editorial at The Maxwell House

If you’re looking for inspiration that satisfies all your old world romance cravings, while remaining timeless in style for years to come… look no further – Alicia C Creative has got you covered. Today’s editorial at The Maxwell House was dressed in a muted color palette of soft blushes, mauve and cream colored hues. Prepare to be enchanted by Sweet & Lovely Co’s ethereal arrangements teeming with brownie tulips, sweet peas and ranunculus. Are you dying to see the full gallery yet? With Lorin Kelly Photography behind the lens, you know it’s going to be good.

From Lorin Kelly Photography… This is an elegant and timeless affair with a whimsical fairytale touch for the ages. Incorporating a palette of ethereal muted tones, vintage contemporary pieces from Fancy Tables and an old 1955 Porsche Speedster. This editorial is perfect for all seasons to bring in both classic vintage and modern day romance to any wedding.

To add to the whimsical but modern ambiance we went with a Liz Martinez gown from EnBlanc LA, that offered a drape of fabric over the one shoulder, corset style bodice and flowing tulle.

The florals were chosen in muted tones of soft blushes, mauve and cream. Brownie Tulips, Sweet Peas and ranunculus being a few.

The invitations tied in the old world feel with handmade paper, gold deckled edges, dreamy venue illustration and whimsical bespoke calligraphy by Papermint Press.

From Alicia C Creative: For the tablescape we wanted an elegant mix of vintage and modern. We accomplished this by using crystal glassware, gold rimmed etched crystal charger and salad plate with a dusty blue/gray modern dinner plate. By combining tones that are not typically seen paired , we were able to pull together timeless elegance for the hopeless romantic.

Greencrest Manor is a unique venue with a European feel. The grounds are filled with some of the most amazing floral and there is beauty around every corner. Offering a shoot for our attendees at such an amazing location was such a highlight.

The dreamy spring floral along with Claire Pettibone’s new dress design was our inspiration for the design of the shoot. From the floral to the couple, and even cake design everything was breathtaking.

Our Favorite Real-Life Wedding Touches That Happened in Gold and How to Get the Look in Our Shop

Once you decide on your wedding date and you’ve picked a place to host your nuptials, the inevitable next part in the process – and probably one of the most exciting – is to pick a color palette. If you’ve spent some time on the Style Me Pretty site, you know that one of the filters we love to organize real wedding content is by ‘color’, and while we have celebrations that run the gamut from gray and green to teal and turquoise, gold might be our most popular pick. It has nothing to do with the shade being ‘overdone’ either; rather, it speaks more to its global versatility. Gold can fit in with any fete, whether you want it to be an ethereal and whimsy garden party, an opulent and dashingly-dressed black-tie affair, or a tastefully-done tented time outdoors – and you can see examples of ALL of them right here

When we started thinking about the items that we’d curate for our Style Me Pretty Shop, we knew we’d embrace our signature blush and gold color cues, because they’re so pretty, but also because we were so excited to see what our couples could weave into their unique days. Many of our products are decked in gold to draw attention to important areas of the wedding (like your bars, your sweetheart table, your escort card/guest book table, etc.), others are simple accessories or tablescape touches that infuse a sense of romance into your styling with delicate gold accenting, and then there are some installations and metallic signage that provide a beautiful canvas for other details to shine (like our gold chandeliers cascading with florals or our metal motifs fixed with 3D blooms).

We have so much more pretty on the horizon for our Shop, and we can’t wait to share new additions soon! But for now, we’re looking back on some of our favorite gold moments (and ones that we could even see with a dose of gold) from the Style Me Pretty archives and sharing similar looks that you can shop right now!

Don’t just let the gold foil champagne wrappers talk for themselves, let metallics be the magnet to draw all your guests to the bar(s)! We love prettying up a simple bar setup with garlands, candles, some whimsical signage that says so much more.

Remember when we said that gold goes with any kind of vibe? Well, we weren’t lying!! Classic, clean+modern, rustic, romantic, gold can do it all for your guest tables.

Your sweetheart table, too, can get a nice dose of gilded glam with metallic Mr. & Mrs. napkin rings that feel ultra royal. And when you’re after something like 👇 you can get the look with our own Mr. & Mrs. gold-toned chair signs. They’re one of those ‘little things’ that can make a major difference when you’re looking back at your day!

And if gold is what you’re going for, you’ll need to toast with gold-etched glasses all day long. Coupes and a cute couple = the perfect match.

Did we convince you that this color is, simply put, a gold standard? Hope so! Shop all of these items exclusively on Style Me Pretty!

From Angel Cheung PhotographyThis is such a special wedding to my heart, one that I have been dreaming about for a long time. It’s an absolute honor and privilege to capture the moments for Nicole and Anna, who are the most beautiful women I have ever had the blessing to work with. The purest of love shined through their images.

Although the wedding was intimate with only a few closest friends to participate to their happiness, it made the day beyond special. It was the most special moment where they had the sweetest first look with their lovely family pets, Ollie and Luna! Luna was also the ring bearer to carry up the rings down the aisle.

After the ceremony held in the garden, the reception was afterwards which was filled with laughter. Each special guest stood up to share a sweet story and word of encouragement to the newlyweds.

A Viral-Worthy Ceremony Teeming With Vibrant Mexican Tradition

Andrea & Mike’s special day was overflowing with pure bliss at Luna Escondida – the bride’s beloved family ranch. Their wedding, which paid homage to vibrant Mexican culture, was truly a family affair. With the expertise of Martha Huerta, Sarai Flores Mendivil, and Florklore, no detail was left unturned –  an adorable wooden flower cart escort display, a viral-worthy ceremony scene, and fresh citrus details are just a few moments you can expect to fall in love with at the full gallery – all taken by Gabriela Mata Photography

From the Bride… The wedding planning process was unique to say the least. Trying to plan a wedding during a worldwide pandemic was certainly no easy feat. There were so many times where we questioned everything, almost cancelled everything, questioned postponing and if it would be worthwhile. We considered eloping or just getting married through the courts and planning a party at a later date, if at all. We struggled with the dangers of gathering, and potentially putting our loved ones at risk. We struggled with guest lists and cutting them down. We struggled with the criticisms and opinions of anyone and everyone who found out we were actually following through with the wedding, against all odds. We even struggled with mourning the death of my mother in law who lost her 22 year long battle with cancer last summer. That being said, with every new change in the pandemic, every new travel restriction, every single obstacle thrown our way, we remained steadfast and more certain than ever before that even if it ended up being us two and the dogs, we were going to get married on March 27th, 2021 and we did.

My vision for the wedding was constant from the start. I’m a hopeless romantic and I wanted that butterflies in the stomach, blissfully happy, walking on cloud 9, everything is lovely and beautiful feeling to translate to every single detail and transcend to every single person attending. Working with Sarai Flores and Martha Huerta, the core of my wedding planning team, helped me accomplish just that. Every single flower, every single detail, from the stationary and flatware to the linens, candles, greenery and furniture was carefully selected to evoke romance and the delicate sweetness that is LOVE and being IN LOVE. Seeing the visions I had since I was a little girl, come fully to life was one of the most special and unforgettable feelings I’ve ever felt. Getting married in my family home, our beloved ranch, Luna Escondida, was incomparable. I never dreamed I would get to walk down the same aisle my parents walked down just a few years prior when they celebrated their 30 year wedding anniversary.

Sharing the first look with my father was beautifully emotional and deeply cathartic. However, seeing my handsome groom smiling and waiting for me at the end of the aisle was pure magic. I felt so unbelievably lucky to have my father by my side, our nearest and dearest surrounding us and the energy of our home, our love and my sweet groom filling every single inch of the space around us.
Diana alongside her meditation team and Minister Marco made the ceremony exactly what we wanted and included all the beautiful traditions seen in most Mexican weddings that I wanted featured as a part of my own ceremony. They seamlessly blended the traditional with the spiritual and created something beautiful that had everyone in tears.

The exquisite menu that our dear family friend Chef Eduardo ‘Lalo’ García created for us was utterly dreamy. He even went as far as obtaining the last black truffle of the season available in Mexico just for us, for our wedding because he knew how much I adore truffles. The attention to detail that both the teams from The Grand Bevy and BTG Bartending had in creating some of the most incredible cocktails was something our friends and family are still talking about months after our wedding. The moments captured by Gabriela Mata and Elysium Productions are the concrete evidence that none of this was a dream and I did in fact get to live the most perfect wedding weekend. A weekend where we celebrated our love, our life and even forgot, if only just for just a few days, that we were in a global pandemic. I cannot thank this incredible team enough for that and for providing me with this once in a lifetime experience.
