Chic Seaside Bald Head Island Wedding

The details that make up this sunny Bald Head Island wedding day from Abby Grace are nothing short of chic Southern charm at it’s best. Fluffy peony bouquets sculpted by the Bride’s very own Grandmother, furry friends adorned with baby’s breath wreaths, glittered Kate Spade heels and a custom Woodford Reserve blend signifying the joining of two families. And that’s just for starters… you can find the rest right here in the gallery!

From Abby GraceMeg & William met at the Gala in White on Bald Head Island in 2008, on the very same steps of the club that hosted their wedding reception. They both grew up vacationing on the island with their families, so BHI was the obvious choice for their big day. The wedding was a chic, sophisticated affair with coral and light pink themes + peonies throughout, a perfect representation of the elegant Southern charm of the island.

The ceremony itself took place in the shade of an oak tree, at the base of BHI’s lighthouse, Old Baldy. Meg & William’s black lab puppies, Scout & Lilly, served as their flower girl + ring bearer, complete with baby’s breath wreaths ’round their necks.

The bride’s grandmother crafted the beautiful bridal bouquet, the bouquet for the maid of honor, and the wreaths for the pups. All of the additional florals were supplied by Courtney Stone of Kickstand Events- she did an incredible job bringing Meg’s vision to life!

A favorite highlight of the day was the wedding favor: together with their families, Meg & William selected two barrels of Woodford Reserve, a high-end Kentucky bourbon, to be combined into one custom blend for their wedding, representing their two families coming together as one. The guests danced from dusk til starlight under the airy white canopy with an incredible live band providing the tunes, and Meg + William made their departure that night in a Rolls Royce golf cart. The island is cut off from usual cars, so everyone on the island drives golf carts!

Colorful DIY Wedding

This, loves, is the perfect mid-week picker upper: a beautiful fall wedding drenched in the prettiest of coral and orange hues, with a dash of awesome DIY details on the side for good measure.  I’m talking the crafty stylings of a talented bride meets DIY florals created by friends meets the prettiest of bed and breakfast settings.  See it all captured by Faith Teasley in the full gallery.

From Faith Teasley… I photographed this lovely fall wedding in October. The bride and groom, Mallory and Stephen, are the sweetest couple ever and reside in Chapel Hill, NC.

Mallory and Stephen’s wedding took place in Pilot Mountain, North Carolina at an adorable Bed and Breakfast. Their color scheme was super unique and perfect for fall (tangerine, guava, champagne). Most of all, their day was full of a contagious joy!

Coastal Wedding in the Outer Banks of NC

We get kind of excited (read: ecstatic) when one of our lovely LBBers ties the knot—because we know lots of swooning is sure to follow when we get a peek at the pretty imagery. So when the sweet Sara of Mint 102 sent over her soft coral, love-filled day, shot by Millie Holloman? A bit of bubbly-poppin’ was in order. Cheers to you darling Sara on your gooorgeous wedding!

From the beautiful Bride…Scott and I met in Wilmington, NC in 2007 at our gym and it wasn’t until about a year later that we went on our first date, taking both of our crazy chocolate labs to play ball on the beach. We dated for a few years before Scott decided to go back to school at the Virigina Tech Carillion School of Medicine in 2011. After a long distance relationship and a LOT of driving, Scott proposed on Wrightsville Beach with our two chocolate labs in tow, reminiscent of our very first date years ago.

When we started this whole wedding planning process, we knew we didn’t want it to be anything too fancy or formal, as that really just wasn’t our style. We wanted it to be relaxed, casual, and most importantly…a really awesome party. We loved the idea of renting a huge beach house for a week so our friends and family could stay and vacation right along with us. So when we found the Croatan Ridge home out in Buxton, NC, we knew that was the perfect place.

As a partner and designer of Mint 102, our wedding and event branding company, I wanted to make sure the event was well branded, of course. It might sound a bit strange, but Scott and I love a good skull and crossbones. So we paired our unique wedding logo with a soft coral to peach ombre pattern and a touch of gold made for a lovely juxtaposition. From the invites and save the dates, to the mason jars and water bottle labels, there definitely wasn’t a shortage of skulls present on our big day, that’s for sure.

The week leading up to the wedding was full of DIY wedding preparations, family meals and late nights of drinking games and catching up with all of our amazing friends and family. Our wedding was simply a night cap to the awesome vacation spent with some of our most favorite people in the world.

The day itself was perfect for us, but not because of the weather. While we were expecting the average 70-75 degree weather on the OBX, we were instead greater by some seriously crazy winds (and I mean wine blowing out of glasses, freezing cold, OMG is there hurricane coming and we didn’t know it- type winds…the proof is in the crazy hair). So everything after the ceremony had to be moved from the amazing pool deck overlooking the sound inside to the pool house…but hey, it didn’t rain!

We will be forever grateful for this awesome day and to all that traveled so far to celebrate with us. A very special thank you to our parents, our families, our friends, and to all of our vendors for all of their love and support throughout the wedding planning process and playing such a huge part in making this day happen!

Intimate DIY Wedding with Handmade Dress

We’ve seen our share of DIY brides grace the pages of SMP, but perhaps none quite as crafty as this. Not only did she put together an amazing modern-glam affair at the US Army National Guard Armory, but along with her mother and grandmother she handmade her dress. You read right – her wedding dress! Anchor And Veil Photography came along to capture the pretty, and you can see more in the gallery right here.

From the Bride… Even before the wedding day, the special moments began: our families pitched in to put together the entire scene, with fathers-in-law-to-be on ladders helping each other hang drapes, and mothers-in-law-to-be arranging flowers and table settings. It couldn’t have been a better way to bring two families together.

Most of our wedding was DIY. My mother, grandmother and I created the wedding dress from a vision I had! We started with fabric and began draping and pinning it until the silhouette was right. Over two months and three fittings, the dress took shape and bears the mark of each of its makers: the flutters on the skirt were all hand-sewn, and each seamstress had her own technique, making each flutter almost like a fingerprint of the person who sewed it.

In addition to the wedding dress, my mother made the vests worn by Judah, my nephew and ring-bearer, and my brother. I created my niece, Bella’s, dress our of raw silk that she painted to match our wedding colors. My mother also made the ring bearer’s pillow.

The tables, linens, and chairs were rented, but we made or embellished almost everything else. The chandeliers are IKEA, but we spray-painted them and added some flourishes. I loves color and pattern, so me and my mother made the napkins — two of each pattern — for our guests to keep as mementos of the occasion. We crafted our signature cocktails for the event (“The Milo” for him and “The Meg” for her). During our cocktail hour, the charcuterie plate featured bread, toast squares, and goat cheese from Forget Me Not Farm, the farm My parents own. The vases are also IKEA, painted at home and brought with us. My father made the bocce court and my brother made and painted the cornhole set as a wedding gift that we had at our reception

We made our save-the-dates and wedding invitations, too, and my mother and Drew’s father’s wife made the gift bag treats (my father custom silk-screened the bags with their farm logo). We have always been DIY types, so having our wedding any other way was almost inconceivable! We may not have saved time, but the memories of the process are what we cherish the most.

Pink and Gold Bridesmaid’s Luncheon

What better way to kick off a wedding weekend then with a bridal luncheon? This Bride-to-be, and the owner of Simply Put Vintage, chose to spend some quality time with her besties before the big day and shower them with a little love. Love in the form of sequins, vintage china and sangria as seen through the lens of Emily March Photography. See even more here.

From Kaitlin Briley Holland, the bride and owner of Simply Put VintageFirst and foremost, I wanted my bridesmaids to feel so very loved. Not only have they walked me through the exciting time of being engaged, but they are lifelong friends. How can you possibly thank them enough? Well, for starters I tried sequins, vintage china, white sangria, and sweet potato biscuits. That seemed to do the trick!

I wanted this luncheon to be glamorous, light, feminine, and the perfect balance between modern and vintage. I designed the invites myself and we had them printed on gold foil polka dot invites. They coordinated perfectly with our table top decor – a white sequin linen, gold and blush china, gold flatware, and vintage crystal. I loved the juxtaposition of the ghost chairs against the soft elements of the table. We used a vintage gold bar cart to hold the white strawberry sangria (a personal favorite of mine) and a light grey dresser for the food.

It was so fun getting dressed up and spending the afternoon before the wedding laughing and eating great food. It was also the perfect opportunity for me to gift my bridesmaids with a pair of Kate Spade earrings to wear the next day. It brought me so much joy to shower my best friends with love, gifts, and food and it was the perfect way to kick off my wedding weekend!

Elegant North Carolina Family Farm Wedding

Ladies and gents, you’ll want to spend some serious time cozying up to this beautiful backyard wedding from Jen Fariello. Because tucked in this gallery are stunning images of a day filled not only with pretty planned by Sheila Motley Events but so much love I can feel it through the screen. With lovely florals from Southern Blooms By Pat’s Floral Designs and a picture perfect cake from Sugarland Bakery, it’s safe to say this wedding is a winner.

From the Bride…Falling in love is hard. But when it happens, it is easy.

That was certainly my experience.

By age 30, I had almost given up on the idea that I would find true love. A loving, trusting, caring, life partner who would challenge and inspire me.

Almost.

No, I didn’t marry my high school sweetheart or one of the many eligible, highly suitable suitors just because the clock was ticking, they looked good on paper, and society told me to do so.

I had all but resided to the notion that I was content and happy being a good, loving daughter, sister(hopefully an aunt one day), god mother to my best friend’s son, and doting mother to my loyal dog, Holly.

Life was good. As good as could be expected if not ever so marginally incomplete.

And then I received a mysterious email. Mysterious might be a bit dramatic.
Let’s simply call it random.

I had been alerted by a women with whom that I had become friends with that she felt compelled to pass my email address along to her son and now feared that perhaps she had over stepped her bounds and done a bad thing.

Thankfully out of embarrassment or boredom, my friend’s son had taken the time and initiative to reach out.

He explained that he was fiercely independent and that his mother had never before inserted herself or meddled in his life and as such he could not help but be intrigued.

From there we began trading slightly flirty emails about life, dogs, and other matters.

Did I mention that I lived in Palm Beach and he lived in New York?

Very quickly our email exchanges blossomed into marathon, all night telephone conversations and I knew that a rare, special someone had appeared on the horizon.

To be blunt, I suggested that he might now have yet another reason to visit Palm Beach.

He replied that he a slightly conflicted relationship with his hometown (who doesn’t) and now had really only one reason to visit Palm Beach and would I like to meet for dinner a Cafe Bolud that Saturday night. To be clear, he asked me to dinner, on a date. Not for drinks, not for coffee, not lunch, not to casually hang out or get together. He was bold and confident if not slightly humble while being refreshingly old fashioned. Let that be a lesson to all you “boys”.

Of course I accepted and from there, it was off to the races! Thank god for JetBlue and even more leg room!

We saw each other every weekend alternating between New York and Palm Beach.

Later that August he asked me to marry him in the wake of a holiday we had taken in Turkey choosing instead to get down on one knee on top of a cupola overlooking Charleston, SC.

Nicholas Sparks couldn’t have penned it better if he tried!

We would be married over a year later on my parents farm outside of Durham, NC. However, my mother had been visualizing if not planning the day since my family moved there from Chapel Hill over twenty years ago.

She would often joke that she was planting in anticipation of the big day when in reality, I was merely 12 and far more interested in horses than boys.

People often talk about their wedding as being one of the happiest and most beautiful days of their life. And thanks to my mother, and my above mentioned best friend who pulled double duty as maid of honor and wedding planner, ours truly was.

The weather was perfect, which I attribute to the bottle of Makers Mark that we buried beneath the alter.

Classic Raleigh Wedding at Angus Barn

I might be a little bit biased, but I wholeheartedly believe this is one of the sweetest weddings you’ll ever come across. As a guest I can tell you that as stunning as the images from Nancy Ray are – and trust me, they’re ridiculously stunning – they capture a mere faction of joy felt on that day. From Anna’s heirloom veil, to the bluegrass band that played through the night, it’s Southern tradition with a twist and you can click right here to see for yourself.

From Nancy Ray… I am thrilled to share Anna and Ben’s Raleigh wedding with you. If I can summarize this wedding with one word, it would be “sweet!” The first look, the groom’s unending tears, the heirloom veil from the mother of the bride, the unique dress that fit Anna’s personality perfectly, the pickle mason-jar favors, the beautiful floral printed stationery, the photos on display from weddings gone by, and hands down, the best father-daughter first look I’ve ever photographed – there was a sweetness to this wedding that is hard to put into words. Even the milk glass and the lacy toms (worn by the bride) were perfect examples of the vintage charm that Anna and Ben love. I’ll never forget this couple, their precious families, and the sweet atmosphere of their wedding day. Anna and Ben sure have friends and family who treasure them individually, and now, as a couple. What a sweet, sweet day!

Romantic-Rustic Old Edwards Inn Wedding

There’s no doubt that summer weddings are in full swing. But winter Brides? We’ve got you covered today with the sweetest winter soiree from We Tie The Knots, the event planner that just happens to be the beautiful Bride! From an adorable pup to the bridesmaids gorgeous plum Jenny Yoo dresses and all the twinkling lights in between, you can see every lovely bit right here. Callie, you’re stunning as ever, congrats love!

From We Tie The KnotsDavis and Callie tied the knot on December 29th 2012 in Highlands, NC and celebrated their marriage at The Farm at Old Edwards Inn with a magical winter wonderland reception…. A Rustic but elegant venue with a flare of glam! Callie is the founder of We Tie The Knots, a wedding planning company based in Atlanta, so it was a dream of hers to design everything from start to finish. The décor consisted of silver sequin linens, white faux snow around the centerpieces, mercury glass candle holders galore and much more. This winter wonderland wedding came to life as soon as the doors opened from the church after the ceremony, and the snow started falling! It was a cold one, but incredibly magical…every aspect of everything.

From The Bride…I am not that girl that had her wedding planned since a little girl, believe it or not! I think that’s the best way to go about it though because you don’t have your heart set on a specific month or season of the year, or a specific theme in mind. Between my wedding schedule and Davis’ schedule we were very limited to having the wedding in December. Most brides would say this is not the ideal month for their wedding, but in the end you have to remember you’re just finally getting to marry the man of your dreams!! So, December 29th it was… As soon as we picked the date, I immediately was thinking a dreamy “Winter Wonderland” wedding! Having worked at the majority of the wedding venues in Atlanta, I wanted to do something a little different, a destination wedding but not too far for everyone. That’s when I decided the Farm at Old Edwards Inn would be perfect. The glassed in Pavillion made for a beautiful outdoor view but still keeping everyone warm. This extraordinary venue is located in the beautiful mountains of Highlands, NC. which added to the theme that much more.

I must say the most enjoyable part of the entire planning process was designing the reception, but that’s my favorite part of helping every bride! The venue was rustic but very elegant and classy. With it being during the Holidays, I wanted to keep it a little more formal and romantic. One of my favorite aspects to the tablescapes would have to be the sequin table linens for our estate table… a huge thank you to La Tavola for helping make this dream come true! Another one of my favorite elements was adding snow around every centerpiece on each table, it just completed the theme so perfectly! Our florist, Boukates, went over and beyond everything I had ever dreamed of… she executed my ideas so perfectly and even added a few surprises. One of the most rewarding moments of this entire process was when my event coordinators brought myself, Davis and my sister into the reception before any of the guest came in. I literally just kept spinning circles, tearing up and looking at how perfectly everything came together. All of that hard work, phone calls with my sister and mom, inspiration, diagrams, directions, ideas and dreams all came to life immediately! I can literally say our entire wedding was a dream come true, all thanks to my incredible vendors that I put all of my trust into.

So with all of that said, the most magical day of my life happened on December 29th 2012, and I will never forget marrying the man of my dreams. This wasn’t all about the perfect décor and crazy weather… it was the fact Davis and I waited so patiently for four and a half years for this day. I hope every bride will keep this in the back of their mind, as the planning can get stressful at times. You only get to have one wedding day with this man, enjoy every moment of it and take it all in because it flies by way too fast. It was just a bonus how perfectly smooth my entire day went!

This day could not have been as perfect as it was without my amazing Matron of Honor (my sister/ wedding planner), parents and brother that immediately jumped in helping as soon as they all could. Not to mention I had 3 bridesmaids that are wedding planners, that helps a ton! A special thanks to our photographer, Mike Larson, for flying from California to share this special day with us and capture these incredible photos!

Spring Barn Wedding in Chapel Hill

Sweet tea and Southern weddings go together like PB & J. And while this Fearrington House soiree had the tea situation fully covered, that’s only the beginning. From the pint-sized succulent favors to the Bride’s gorgeous lace gown, the whole day was a nod to Southern grace from beginning to end. Get ready for photo goodness a la Anna Routh in the gallery right here.

From Anna Routh… Kristine and John were married on one of the first warm, spring days in Chapel Hill. Blue skies and beautiful spring blossoms watched over this sweet couple as they exchanged vows at the always stunning Fearrington Village. Kristine’s lace dress was the picture of elegance, and the succulent- heavy, colorful florals were the perfect accompaniment to her bridesmaid’s lovely navy lace dresses.

Guests enjoyed sweet tea and bluegrass in the orchard at The Fearrington before the ceremony – such a treat! The reception in the dreamy Fearrington barn was full of stunning spring florals, southern fare and lots of dancing. One of my favorite details of Kristine and John’s wedding was their succulent favors and the adorable chalk sign displayed with them. Kristine LOVES succulents, so these were the perfect gift for she and John’s friends and families. I am so excited to have been a part of this lovely day!

Colorful Nautical Wedding

This wedding has it all: adorable high school sweethearts, a fabulous seaside setting and an entire world of pretty styled to perfection by *21 Edenhurst.  It’s basically a rustic meets nautical dream come true… and if you love to see a navy and coral color palette playing nice with mason jars and sea shells (who doesn’t?), then check out every inch of the full gallery from Ali Caudill Photography.  It’s amazing.

From *21 EdenhurstLillian and Ricky’s wedding was one for the books. Dating as far back as the 6th grade and steady after the 10th, this was the celebration that all of their loved ones had anticipated and waited patiently for… for a long, long time. Both are about the sweetest people you’d ever want to meet, and their amazingly powerful friendship and beautiful love for each other was reflected so wonderfully in the details of their big day.

The bride chose a private rental home in Nags Head, NC which was convenient for their Northern VA guests, and also created a secondary vacation for the bride’s family who traveled from the UK to be there. The bride wanted to incorporate chevron prints in with the decor and she quickly landed on navy and coral to create a soft nautical touch. We chose twine and mason jars to incorporate her rustic vision, while also maintaining elements like seashells, beach glass, starfish and other pieces to find a balance for the location, all at a reasonable budget. The intimate setting of a private rental home allowed for many of the guests to stay overnight extending the party long after the vendors had left. We had a great time creating special touches like the starfish seating chart and the Photo Booth backdrop for the lovebirds to “sail into the sunset” together.

The night was perfect, even with the crazy winds coming off the sound. The night was all about fun and laughter with good music and plenty of Fireballs to go around. Congrats to the happy couple!

Colorful North Carolina Beach Wedding

Take a peek at this Southern beach wedding and just try not to crack a smile. I dare you. Because when you’ve got a day this bright and a couple this cute, there’s no way not to feel the joy for yourself. The Surf Club  played backdrop to all the colorful festivities and A.J. Dunlap Photography worked their magic behind the lens. Happy Tuesday, indeed!

From A.J. Dunlap Photography… This adorable tented beach wedding that took place on March 29th. The bride wore a J.Crew gown, and her girls had on the most adorable teal dresses! The guys were dressed to fit a beach club in khakis and blazers. From the colorful invites, to the sparkly Kate Spade shoes, and party dress the bride wore, it was a day full of style and fun.

Their ceremony took place under a huge white tent, adorned with a chandelier and wine barrels. Instead of the traditional guest book, they had guests sign a bench for them to keep at their home after the wedding! Moving inside for the reception, it was a lovely & simple beach club set up, with our favorite detail being the pie bar in lieu of a cake.

4th of July Inspired Engagement Session

Every heart rings true for the red, white, and blue! This couple decided not only to show off how happy they are to be with each other, but also how proud they are to be involved with the military. With the help of Ashley + David Photography, they set a scene full of red, white, and blue with cute as can be vintage Americana accents like and old film camera and bottled soda.

From Ashley + David PhotographyIt was a gorgeous day for Trish and Richard’s engagement session picnic. Richard currently serves in the military and Trish is from a military family, so they wanted to incorporate a patriotic theme into their engagement session and wedding. Keeping their ‘Vintage Americana’ theme in mind, we did our best to work in as much red, white, and blue as we could find! These two were lovely to work with though – completely natural and very much in love! :)

Fun-Filled Charlotte Wedding Film

I’m not sure who came up with our modern reception convention, but I’m glad they did. Weddings are full of so much joy and happiness, it’s preposterous to think you could do anything but dance. And as you can see from We Are Caravan‘s video, this couple knows how to throw one heck of a party. This video is so good, it’ll make you want to jump on in with them by the end. So let the toe-tapping begin!

From We Are CaravanDanielle and Matthew are a beautiful couple we had the privilege to work with this past October, and we loved their idea for a small, intimate wedding ceremony at the Old Edwards Inn in Highlands, NC followed a couple days later by a big reception with all their friends and family at Byron’s Southend here in Charlotte. Isn’t Danielle’s dress AMAZING? Also who doesn’t love a wedding band called Mr. Potato Head and a glow stick send off? Needless to say, I think their reception was a pretty good time. We had so much fun working with all the other vendors for this wedding.

Casual Park Wedding in Raleigh

I kind of love weddings that bend “the rules.” You know – weddings like these Raleigh nuptials held at a local park followed by a Lebanese restaurant reception. It oozes that effortlessly chic vibe and Rebecca Ames documented the day in perfect fashion. Happy swooning!

From Rebecca Ames… This wedding is Southern, vintage, soft, lovely with some very chic elements. It is gorgeous! They got married at Fred Fletcher Park, which is a historic site in Raleigh, North Carolina. It is the grounds for the Borden Building, which was an orphanage in the early 1900’s. When you walk in you can still feel the history. They had their reception in the back patio of Sitti, a Lebanese restaurant in downtown. But in between, Megan, Rick and their wedding party took a rickshaw ride through Downtown Raleigh, even over a bridge where you got to see the city skyline. It was incredible and so very much fun!

I love all the details that the Bride put together. She made all of the details herself minus the flowers. She put together bags of lavender for the guests to toss on them during the recessional. There were still a lot of details that hinted at the south. They had two urns of ice tea, one for yankees and the other for rebels. It was a gorgeous day all around!

Timeless Southern Wedding in Chapel Hill

This wedding had us at hello with that bridal gown and, who are we kidding, the shoes are pretty phenomenal too. It’s Carolina Herrera and Valentino meets a classic black tie affair in Chapel Hill. The images by Graham Terhune Photography and video from Life Stage Films showcase chic fashion, blooming trees and peonies galore by Watered Garden and you can find even more right here in the full gallery.

From Graham Terhune PhotographyHeather and Robert celebrated a stunning Chapel Hill wedding in the middle of April. The Cherry trees were in full blossom and the overcast day created the most fantastic light for the intimacy of Heather and Robert’s wedding day. We were impressed by all of the classic and thoughtful details that the two incorporated into their wedding celebration. All of the wedding elements were timeless and created an elegant atmosphere that permeated the entire day.

In addition to their stunning outward appearances, Heather and Robert are two of the classiest, kindest and most genuine couples with whom we have worked. We felt the calmness of their wedding day and it allowed us to photograph in the moment and capture the tender emotions between Heather, Robert and their loved ones.

Heather and Robert’s reception venue was at a private residence in Chapel Hill, North Carolina and it provided the perfect backdrop for the wonderful event. Their gorgeous backyard tent was full of special elements including a magnolia wreath chandelier, baby’s breath arrangements and a sitting area complete with shawls for the ladies. The food served was not only delicious but absolutely stunning works of art.

Bohemian Inspiration Shoot

Whenever a boho inspiration shoot comes my way, I completely change plans for my own wedding. I thought I wanted a Jane Austen garden style soiree, but maybe, just maybe, I need to boho it up a bit.  I’m thinking gorgeous farm tables, perfectly imperfect florals and “edgy” stylings that basically need no description.  In other words?  I need this wedding.  See every last ounce of inspiration captured by Michelle Lyerly right here.

From Michelle Lyerly… We wanted to have a romantic, yet edgy balance. The colors were cream, greens, lavender and blush with brown medicine bottles and touches of gold. We incorporated geodes and a guitar to give the shoot that authentic bohemian vibe. There was a beautiful horse on the property that the model immediately took to and we got some beautiful shots of them right before the shoot ended. Hair and makeup was kept soft and easy with floral crowns and wisps tied in. The main model wore Sarah Seven Amour gown with cap sleeves. The blonde is wearing a Sarah Seven Gwen gown. The blush is a combination of a Watters Ahsan skirt and Carina corset. The invitation suite has leather hand lined envelopes.

Classic Glamour in Durham

We love it when weddings put glamorous spins on tradition. Read: this glitzy Jewish ceremony from Erin McLean. Rich pink and white florals from Tre Bella complimented the glittery gold while the The Cotton Room provided the perfect atmosphere for a party that lasted long into the night. Nancy Ray captured some stunning photos from the day and there’s all waiting right here!

From Nancy Ray PhotographyThis elegant evening wedding celebration took place at the Cotton Room in Durham, NC. Erin McLean designed and planned the details with her classic glamorous style. Some of the unique features include real snow on the dance floor, a lovely chandelier, silhouette menus, glitter tablecloths, candlelight, silhouette chair signs, and pink hues throughout the decor. What I especially love about this wedding is the rich Jewish tradition that was so important to this couple. I hope you enjoy this classic wedding, rich with tradition!
