Rustic + Elegant North Carolina Fall Wedding

If you were to Google “rustic elegance” these photos by The Reason I Love should pop right up. I Do Events combined the two distinct styles to a tee, mixing the Bride’s family farm with a beautiful tent overflowing with white and blush florals. Elegant but not boring, stunning but not stuffy, this is my type of soiree and I’ll be in this gallery, taking notes for my own nuptials, long after lunchtime.

From The Bride… I grew up in Atlanta, Georgia my whole life. Since the age of two, my family had a farm in Highlands, North Carolina where my parents took us to get away from the city life. Whenever I thought about where I would want to get married, I knew it would either be Atlanta or Highlands. I watched my friends from home get married in big churches and country clubs. But when the time came and I got engaged, I knew a big city wedding wasn’t for me. I wanted to get married beneath the scenery of grand mountains surrounded by the greenery of the trees and blue skies above. I was never one with a great sense of style, so getting married in a place that was beautiful all by itself sounded perfect to me. I am the youngest of five children, and my mother always made it clear that she felt strongly about us getting married in churches. So I knew that one day I would be married in a small church in town, and then have my reception at the beautiful place that had been so special to me my whole life. This, I thought, was what I wanted to welcome my wedding guests into. This, I thought, was love and joy. Another thing I knew when I got engaged was that I wanted a fall wedding. North Carolina is stunningly beautiful in the fall, with vibrant colors of red, orange, yellow, orange, and every shade in between. The weather is unbeatable, with most days in the low 70s with a cool, crisp, clean mountain breeze. So that about sums it up: I knew I wanted to be married in a small church it town, followed by a reception on the farm I’d grown up on, in the state I had known as home for half my life, and in a season where heaven never felt closer.

Three unique details that was infused into my décor were:

1. Beauty in Nature – Like aforementioned, I wanted to get married at a place that was beautiful in its own rite. We chose to get married in the afternoon so that our guests would get to enjoy part of the reception with daylight. After making most of our guests drive a good distance, I wanted them to all be able to see and take in the place that was so special to me and worth driving for. Because of this, we spread out the reception in such a way that I hoped guests would get to see varying angles of the farm. The guests arrived and walked through the lower valley through candles in wine bottles, crossed the creek that runs through the farm over a bridge, past the garden where the last of the summer harvest was, and into the cocktail hour. During the cocktail hour, guests could drink and eat while taking in all the beauty around them. From there, guests moved farther across the farm, through a lighted arbor, into the valley where the main reception tent was. We intentionally faced the tent so that it faced the creek. Elizabeth of I Do Events likes to incorporate the five senses into every event and wanted our guests to not only see all the beautiful sights around them, but also hear all of the sounds. The fun part about having a reception start at 530 and end at 1030 was that guests got to see the farm with daylight and at night. Once the sun went down, lighting was set up to illuminate certain features of the farm. One such thing was lights around the rope swing near the swimming pond. Thus, by simply highlighting features of the farm and allowing the sunlight to run its course, I feel our guests got a full spectrum of experiences on the farm that day.

2. Romance – I always knew I wanted a wedding with an ethereal feel to it. I wanted the decor to be soft, lovely, and romantic. As mentioned before, i wanted our guests to walk away feeling the love Dan and I have together as well as the special love we have for the farm. I really just told Elizabeth and Paul of Rooms in Bloom my color palate and gave them the liberty to design the wedding. We used a soft color palette to communicate a romantic feel. All the flowers were light pinks, peach, and white. The farm has always been a very peaceful place, so we wanted to use colors and decor that alluded to that peace.

3. Elegance and Sophistication – Though I opted out of a black tie city wedding, I still wanted the wedding to be elegant with details of sophistication. The key was striking the right balance of sophistication at a farm. My team executed this perfectly, with satin tablecloths, mercury glass, crystal chandeliers, and a white dance floor. I wanted a country club look in the setting of a farm valley. There were little touches like draping the ceiling of the tent that I think helped give the reception a lot of sophistication and elegance.

My most memorable moment was about midway through the reception. Dan and I were on the dance floor having the time of our lives. There’s a moment where time froze and I just looked around the dance floor at all of our guests dancing. It was in that moment I noticed how packed our dance floor was and how much fun our guests were having. That ultimately is what brides want and what I wanted – for our guests to enjoy themselves. We handed out Dan + Sarah sunglasses and, more importantly, light up tambourines that people just LOVED. Watching others enjoy themselves was such a memorable gift I will never forget.

Our first dance was to a song called “God Gave Me You” by Dave Barnes. Dave Barnes is a good friend of our family’s who I had actually tried to get to come to the wedding to sing live. Meeting my husband Dan was the greatest gift which I will forever be grateful for.

One thing to note was the bourbon bar. The bourbon bar was a huge hit. My husband’s family is partly from Kentucky, and are thus bourbon enthusiasts. We have a playhouse in the valley at the farm that we thought would be fun to surprise Dan with a bourbon bar. I consulted a couple of his guy friends for types of bourbon and recipes and we ended up with the following: 1792, Buffalo Trace, Woodford Reserve, Knob Creek, Angel’s Envy, and Maker’s Mark. The drinks available at the bourbon bar were mint julips, whiskey sours, old fashioned, and manhattans. Elizabeth of I Do Events had a sign made to go over the doorway that said “Dan’s Bourbon Bar.” We had the bar setup with two barrels and a wooden top and a handsome man in a tux making all the drinks behind the bar. With 25 bottles of bourbon, the bourbon bar was busy all night and shut down early.

There were a couple of things we did ourselves. My sister had gotten married at the farm three years before and had some letters made out of large wooden sticks and covered in lights that spelled JOY. She had propped them up on the valley hill. I chose to hang them from the barn.

I had my something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue. Old was I had one of my recently deceased grandmother’s handkerchiefs wrapped around my bouquet. I was named after her so I wanted her to represented. My father also passed away when I was two. I had one of his ties and part of my mom’s veil sewn into the under layer of my dress. New was my wedding dress, veil, earrings and shoes were all new. Borrowed and blue was I wore my mom’s original wedding band on my right hand at the wedding. It is a white gold band with sapphires and diamonds.

From Unveiled Design & EventsThis inspiration shoot was dreamt up using traditional concepts with a fun twist. We used hot pink, a dazzling gold, plus a pop of fun with the confetti. A summer wedding set in a magnificent backyard, this couple truly enjoyed their day. Our bride, Elizabeth, was beaming in a traditional champagne lace Stella York gown and wore Nina shoes in a saucy shade of pink. Our groom, Jeff, wore a sleek tuxedo with a custom made skinny tie -huge in the fashion world right now! We decided to use their special family heirloom china to draw inspiration from. These fabulous New Zealand peonies, pink roses, baby hydrangea, hypericum berries, and colorful orange and pink ranunculus made the bouquets stand out. The four tiered wedding cake stole the show and was a true piece of art.

Lakeside Engagement Session

So, these two are adorable.  That kind of adorable that is reserved for sweeter than sweet duos that were set up by their parents and spend their e-session frolicking around the great outdoors, pups in tow.  Oh, and they’ll also throw caution to the wind and jump head first into a lake, just because.  In other words? You’re going to love them.  See their sweet e-sesh captured by Robyn Van Dyke right here.

From Robyn Van Dyke Photography Jamie and Wes were set up by their parents, and it actually worked! They are now engaged to be married and they are head over heels in love with each other, the outdoors, and their doggies! Riley (the Golden Retriever) was a gift to Jamie from Wes, and one of their favorite things to do is taking their dogs on walks together! In fact, Wes proposed to Jamie at the exact spot where they had their first date while they were out walking their pups! So they, of course, had to incorporate their adorable doggies into their engagement session as well as their love for the outdoors! I love that they brought a canoe along for their engagement session and even jumped into the lake at the end!

Southern Style Bohemian Wedding Inspiration

When Kayla Coleman Photography and Pretty In The Details set out to craft this boho shoot, they aimed to fill it with a dreamy, eclectic and timeless feel. But most importantly, they set their stunning couple at the center of it all—and in my opinion, that’s the recipe for pretty that every wedding deserves. Goodies from Paisley & Jade are sprinkled about and paired perfectly with the varied hues. See it all here!

Bohemian

From Pretty In The DetailsMy inspiration for our bohemian dream shoot started with three descriptive words; dreamy, timeless, and eclectic. For each detail created and hand-picked, we made sure they held the esthetic of those words. The muted color pallet of the dresses, to the florals and rentals, nothing matched, but everything was picked individually and purposely. with a mismatched feel, we stuck to color families rather than specific colors to use for our design. Partnering with vendors who have a similar esthetic was huge for this shoot to go off successfully. my goal was to inspire brides planning on any budget. Being a wedding designer, I tend to focus on all the details, but I really wanted the details to accent the couple, resembling a real wedding. The couple should never be overlooked because of beautiful decor. Rather, the design should compliment them and who they are, always being the center of attention. Figure out who you are as a couple, and let your wedding shine with personality!! Don’t be afraid to do something others haven’t done yet, that’s the beauty of being you! And let’s be real, this is YOUR day!

Classic Meets Modern Ballroom Wedding

Take two sweethearts (a gorgeous former cheerleader + a handsome professional basketball player), a stunning Trump National Golf Club setting and a team of vendors that know a thing or two about throwing a fabulous party and the results are this: a breathtaking classic meets modern affair with some of the prettiest details you will ever see.  See it all captured by Cade Bowman right here

From The Bride… Brendan and I met in October 2011 on Match. I had moved to Charlotte three years earlier from NYC, and Brendan had just moved back to the US after playing basketball overseas for five years. It was an instant connection, and we were engaged on Valentine’s Day 2013. We were married May 17, 2014 in Mooresville, NC overlooking Lake Norman.

Although I don’t consider myself a girly girl, I have been dreaming of my wedding day for my entire life. Those dreams varied between a tented outdoor event a la “Father of the Bride” to a lavish Italian destination wedding. The realities of a wedding budget and a large guest list made us really have to focus on what was important to us. I love the look and feel of outdoor weddings, but the fear of bad weather was too overpowering for us to commit to. Thankfully, we found Trump National Lakefront Ballroom, which, with its floor to ceiling windows overlooking scenic Lake Norman, gave us that feeling but kept the 200 person ceremony, cocktail hour and reception weatherproof.

My now husband did not have strong opinions about much. We discussed what he cared about at the beginning (venue, food, drinks, music and CAKE), and we made sure he was involved in all of those planning decisions. As for everything else, I ran with it!

When we first toured Trump, it was being completely renovated. It used to be a very rustic, elegant location with a lot of exposed wood beams, stone, etc. When Trump purchased, he brought the glitz and glam that he’s known for. This was not exactly my style, but I ran with it and made sure that our decor wouldn’t feel out of place. I decided on black, white, gold, pinks and corals for the color scheme. The venue already featured a lot of these colors, so I didn’t have to spend a lot of money bringing in linens or chairs. This was sort of the theme of the planning process for me: make it look amazing, but as affordably as possible. I did this by tackling several DIY projects and being resourceful when finding decor (the internet is your friend!).

Instead of huge floral centerpiece on every table, we focused on our head table, and used single bud vases, candlesticks and bridesmaid bouquets on the other tables. I took inspiration from our invitations and designed our place cards and programs myself, and collected coupons from Vista Print to get them printed. I have an obsession with animal decor (just ask my husband), so I bought hundreds of plastic jungle animals, put a slit in the back with a dremel, and spray painted them gold for place card holders.

We also tried to find interesting ways to interject our personalities. Brendan played four years of basketball at Davidson University, and I was a cheerleader for two at UNC-Chapel Hill. So I designed basketball jersey koozies as guest favors, and our friends and family sent us off with pom poms at the end of the night.

Overall, our wedding day was absolutely perfect. We were surrounded by loving family and friends, and everything turned out exactly as we had hoped. The only thing we wish we could’ve changed? Make the party last a bit longer!

From Graham TerhuneJackson and Melisa were married on a perfect October Saturday. The sun was shining, the air was crisp and the Biltmore Estate looked stunning in the golden fall light. Melisa and Jackson’s wedding was a stunning day full of friends, family and their committed love to one another. In addition to the overall feeling of joy, the day was full of breathtaking beauty in the venue and the details. Melisa worked to craft a wedding day that was authentic and gave a special nod to her turkish ethnicity. There were Turkish rugs, a custom built Turkish prayer table for the ceremony (crafted by the groom and his father) Turkish eyes on all of the floral arrangements, turkish tea pots at each place setting. The lovely color palette of the wedding was a nice complement to the warmth of the fall hues of the mountains. The lavender and gray colors were absolutely stunning on the bridesmaids and groomsmen. We hope that you enjoy a selection of our favorite images from this wedding. We know that the bride and groom would be absolutely ecstatic to see their wedding featured and we would be humbled to have our work on your beautiful blog.

Whimsical Black + Green Winter Wedding

This bride loves black so she added a sash to her gown. The groom is Irish, so they incorporated Celtic dancers at their reception. These personal touches are what I love most as I dive into each and every wedding-filled day here at SMP. Smitten & Hooked captured every unique detail and if these hydrangeas aren’t enough of a tease, you have my promise that there is plenty more where that came from.

From Smitten & HookedThis couple wanted fun and different and boy they got it!

Andrew is from Ireland and a huge part of the wedding was Irish, including the Irish Celtic dancers that performed during the reception and the bagpiper who led them to their favorite Irish bar as their exit.

Britt loves black but knew her mother would kill her if she wore a black dress so she picked out the most fabulous Amsale gown and had a small black sash added, custom black jewelry, and killer Badgley Mischka black pumps! At the reception she had a short sassy black dress she danced the night away in!

Their details at the reception were amazing. The head table top was covered with a mirror top and just drenched in hydrangeas and they were everywhere. The flowers were probably one of our favorite aspect of the gorgeous reception! They also had ghost chairs and lots of gorgeous linens and candles everywhere.

Southern Style Biscuits and Honey Butter

Lisa Dolan has it right; a simple breakfast of buttermilk biscuits and honey butter is the key to happiness. It’s a mouth watering type of goodness that everyone should have in their cooking arsenal. Especially when you hear they take a mere 20 minutes to whip up. Twenty minutes of your time for a scrumptious honey butter infused treat? We’re in!

Southern Style Biscuits and Honey Butter

22 Minute/s
Serves 0Ingredients
  • 2 cups all purpose flour, plus more for dusting
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 6 tablespoons cold, unsalted butter
  • 1 1/4 cups buttermilk
  • 1 tbsp honey plus more to drizzle over biscuits after baking
Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 450 degrees
  2. Combine your dry ingredients in a bowl
  3. Cut the butter into small chunks (about the size of a sugar cube) and mix into the dry ingredients until it resembles coarse meal
  4. Add the buttermilk and honey and mix until the ingredients are combined (don’t over mix – you want the batter to be lumpy!)
  5. Roll the dough in your hands using the extra flour. Be extra careful not to handle the biscuits too much! The more you handle the dough, the tougher your biscuits will be.
  6. Drop batter onto your pan leaving biscuits about 1 inch apart
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes
  8. Drizzle with honey and serve warm with honey butter (just use a fork to whip some honey into the butter)

Elegant Garden Themed Wilmington Wedding

Overflowing gardens make me so happy; add in a gorgeous wedding and I’m downright giddy. This garden themed Southern celebration is bursting with beautiful blooms by Salt Harbor Designs and the ceremony alone at Airlie Gardens captured my heart… and got my Pinterest habit going once again. Theo Milo snapped every perfect petal and these photos are a breath of fresh air during these winter months.

From Theo Milo Photography… Beautiful garden themed wedding! Her veil was a family heirloom. Her father is a 2 star general for the military. Lots of pretty floral detail and an invitation suite that is breathtaking!

From The Bride… Wes has always planned incredibly classy dates. On our third date, we went to Airlie Gardens for a jazz concert under the Live Oak tree. From then on, Airlie was a special place for us. We went back regularly for a picnic or just a stroll. So when we got engaged, the Pergola Garden at Airlie was the obvious venue choice for our ceremony. When we started looking for reception venues, we wanted to find somewhere with just as much meaning to us. It was interesting how easily the Brooklyn Arts Center fit in with our vision. Not only did the venue have the classy yet rustic look to it that we wanted, but it was located three blocks from where Wes lived when we started dating and was the location of another date!

After choosing our venues, we decided on a garden themed wedding to tie Airlie Gardens in throughout the entire day. Since we had over a year and a half to plan our wedding, we opted to do all of the planning ourselves and stick with just a day of coordinator (I say “just” but she was phenomenal!). Initially we wanted to incorporate a lot of DIY projects, but found it to be logistically difficult since we were planning from New Orleans. Still, my mom made the cotton lace linens, my sister painted our seating chart, and we hand picked many of the antique decorations. We put a lot of thought into buying things that worked for the wedding and that we could reuse afterwards. It’s so nice to see the wedding decorations in our house now. The most special decorative piece was the veil I wore. Wes’s great grandma’s sister first wore it in 1927. Since then his great grandma, grandma, and mom have worn it.

The wedding day itself was incredible. A harpist played during the ceremony and cocktail hour. Hearing some of our favorite classical music in the gardens leading up to the wedding was so magical. I walked down the aisle to Clair de Lune, a song that has been meaningful to Wes and I for a long time. It was one of those surreal moments that literally took my breath away. Laughing with my dad as we walked down the aisle was one of my favorite moments from the day. I always thought I would be a crier! A second favorite moment for Wes and I was walking into the Brooklyn Arts Center for the reception. The roar of all the people we loved combined with the faint floral aroma was so memorable.

To us, the aspect of wedding planning that made our wedding the most special was the integration of flowers, music, and smells that will always bring us back to that day. We can’t look at peonies and garden roses, smell confederate jasmine, or listen to Clair de Lune without being swept back into a wedding memory.

From Keepsake Memories PhotographyAmber and Daniel tied the knot January 18th in Pinehurst, North Carolina. We really enjoyed photographing their organic wedding. The fur Amber is wearing was a gift from Daniel. The flower crown Amber is wearing was hand made by her maid of honor. Amber works at Hitched bridal salon in DC. So she was able to find the perfect wedding dress for her day.

From The Bride…Daniel and I wanted our wedding to be a reflection of our love for one another. We are both so proud of being from the Carolinas, so we wanted that to shine through on the big day. We chose a winter wedding and really used that as a jumping off point to create the overall look. We kept colors and decor at a minimum, especially because The Fair Barn has so much historic beauty all on its own. We wanted the ceremony to feel intimate, but then the reception to be a fun event for our family and friends, so using The Fair Barn for both enabled us to achieve those goals. We incorporated Carolina elements in our cake topper, personalized Koozies, and personalized coffee sleeves, because you obviously need a coffee, tea, and hot chocolate bar at a winter wedding! Our band was there from start to finish so dancing and mingling started as soon as the ceremony ended, that way we could maximize our time with our guests who traveled in from near and far to help up celebrate our big day. The day was full of laughs and tears (both of which came in abundance during the multiple speeches our friends prepared for us!). Daniel and I definitely tried to keep in mind that this was a once in a lifetime type of day and didn’t take a single moment for granted. We wanted to make sure we took time to talk to each and every guest, but also enjoy the day together and take in every moment we could. People say the day flies by and that couldn’t be more true! All in all, we wouldn’t change a thing and always look back at that January day wishing we could re-live it over and over again!

Rustic Elegance at Old Edwards Inn

This gorgeous soiree right here, it’s proof that when Asheville Event Co.Floressence Flowers and Natalie Watson combine forces, wedding magic happens. There are too many things that I love about this day, my list would keep you here forever. But just to name a few… this garland, this game and this perfect bouquet. Bam, 1-2-3 and I’m head over heels. Plus, there’s more (yes, more!) waiting in the full gallery.

From the beautiful Bride…When Bao and I first got engaged, we knew we wanted to be married in our home state of North Carolina. We live near Washington, D.C. and we knew that planning a wedding long distance could be difficult. I was also about to begin an accelerated nursing degree program, so my mom suggested that we hire a local wedding planner (mom’s always know best!). Melissa at Asheville Event Company made wedding planning so easy. She really listened to all of our wants and needs and came to the table with great ideas.

The minute I stepped into the Farm at Old Edwards Inn, I loved it (and luckily Bao did too once he was able to see it in person). I looked at 13 different venues in the mountains but none came close to Old Edwards Inn. Bao and I really love good food and a rustic feel so the venue was perfect. Chef Klapdohr worked with us to make a seasonal menu that our guests ended up raving about. The floral arrangements were also a big part of our wedding. Bao has a green thumb and loves succulents; I thought pinks and peaches would complement the scenery at The Farm. Our florist, Eatherley, was absolutely amazing. I was blown away by the floral arrangements, the bouquets, and the succulent wall. The most difficult part of wedding planning for me was picking out my dress. I was pretty indecisive on the matter and eventually ended up going with a dress that I knew I would feel comfortable in. I loved having straps on the dress so that I didn’t have to readjust all night. I also had the seamstress modernize my mom’s veil so that I could wear it on the wedding day. It was really special to me and it ended up matching my dress almost perfectly. The day of the wedding was a blur so we were really glad to have great photographers there to capture the memories for us! They were so easy and fun to work with and were the first vendors we chose in the entire process – once I saw their portfolio online I was sold. Bao and I are so happy to have such beautiful photographs of the decor, our wedding party, and our friends and family.

All in all our wedding was pretty close to perfect. The day was beautiful, the food was fantastic, the bluegrass band was a hit, and our guests had a great time. Our families and the bridal party helped us every step of the way which made the process almost stress-free. I cannot even put into words how thankful I am for their support!

From Melissa Porter, the event coordinator at Asheville Event CoCaroline and Bao are such a special couple and they were so laid back about planning their wedding. They were always focused on their loved ones, friends and guests. They wanted a weekend where their guests felt comfortable and had a wonderful time. I love how they incorporated things that were most important to them in their day. Caroline and Bao loved all kinds of beer from local beer to less known breweries and they shared that with their guests with handmade wood beer flights featuring a variety of ales that were passed during cocktail hour. I also loved their guest book! Guests wrote their well wishes on Jenga pieces (their favorite game) and even got to participate in large format Jenga which Bao built and brought to the cocktail hour. One of my favorite ideas was the succulent wall designed by Florresence Flowers – it was used as the stunning backdrop to the ceremony, as a beautiful escort card display and then as the back drop to the super-fun photo booth! Using the backdrop for 3 different areas of the ceremony and reception was a perfect way to reuse decor. Rustic farm tables combined with stunning peach and white floral centerpieces and cafe string lighting completed a beautiful look in the barn at Old Edwards Inn.

10 Tips for Wedding Dress Shopping

Angela here from Saffron Avenue bringing you my next blogger bride adventure! Some girls are crazy excited to try on dresses for the first time, and I thought I always would be…until the time actually came. I’m not big into shopping, trying on clothes, and definitely not in front of family and friends while literally on a pedestal. The idea actually stressed me out because I had no clue what to expect. But I’m passing on what I learned, and tips to make this important shopping excursion one to remember.

A few things I was told by my friends and family was to try on all different styles, and that dresses always look better on you than the hanger. Also, to keep an open mind the whole time. And while that info was great, it wasn’t quite enough. The first time I tried on dresses didn’t turn out the best. I didn’t eat much before, I was so tired and exhausted, and the bridal salon didn’t have any music and weren’t enthusiastic. It just wasn’t the experience I’d imagined.

I decided the next place I would choose to go to would be 10x better and that’s when I ended up at Hayden Olivia Bridal in Charlotte, NC. It was one of the best decisions I had made because it was such a great experience, and one I’ll never forget. I spent the day with my sister and very close friend trying on so many beautiful dresses in an absolutely beautiful loft style boutique. We had music, dresses lined up, mimosa, and best of all we laughed…a lot. To top it off I had a great photographer, Lauren Rosenau snapping pictures of the process to share with you!

I definitely had an open mind too, I tried on big ball gowns by Hayley Paige, an amazing trumpet dress by Monique Lhuillier, a dress with crazy feathers, and another with a sparkly plunging neckline. And just in case you wanted to know…none of these shown are the dress I chose. (That’s top secret! ) But I do want to share a handy list of tips Hayden Olivia Bridal and I pulled together to make wedding dresses shopping a little bit smoother!

Until next time! xoxo, Angela

Rustic Chic North Carolina Wedding

Fact: this wedding captured by Brianna Forster is stunning. The DIYed blooms, the Grace Haven Pavilion, the couple – honestly, every detail is captivating. Beyond all the pretty, the love between the sweet couple is evident with each gorgeous image. Somewhat rustic, somewhat classic, this personality packed affair is filled with heartfelt details, and you can fall in love with all of it here.

From Brianna Forster PhotographyCasey and Brad’s wedding was simple, sweet, and overflowing with emotion! Casey and Brad had been introduced more than once, and more then once Brad had asked her out. She kindly kept turning him down, but that is a secret everyone knows. Plus I don’t think it helps Brad’s case.

They love the outdoors and fresh air so their Grace Haven Pavilion wedding could have not been anymore perfect for them! Everything was handmade by Casey, her family and friends. From her handwritten 200+ placements, to the homemade cake her Aunt made, and all the little details that all have been in the family and had special meaning. It was a real pleasure being a part of this day. You will notice Casey is not carrying any flowers. She said that her father would more then then enough to carry down the aisle.
