Fall Beach Wedding

Inside and out, this wedding is beautiful.  The kind of wedding that is overflowing with gorgeous details and breathtaking scenery at every turn.  But what really stands out against all of the pretty is the thought and meaning that the adorable bride and groom put into each and every moment, crafting a day that was truly, truly their own.  Click here for more from Kaytee Lauren… and prepare to fall in love.

From Kaytee Lauren… Just this past October I shot a beautiful fall beach wedding in Corolla, NC. The couple lives in Laguna Beach, CA, but most of their friends and family are back here on the East Coast, so they got married here on the East Coast and brought some of California with them to inspire their wedding.

From the Bride… Pj and I met several years ago at a restaurant in our small town of Laguna Beach. I worked part-time as a server and had a crush on Pj, who was one of our “regulars.” We were always just acquaintances, and it wasn’t until we bumped into each other at a surf industry work event, that our relationship first began. We dated for two years and I knew instantly that he was the one. Pj and I took a celebratory vacation to the Turks & Caicos after I finished graduate school in May, and this is where he proposed during a romantic sunset dinner on the sand. After asking Pj what his version of our “love story” was, he informed me that our story is about two people who were meant for each other, waiting for exactly the right time for their relationship to begin. We’re both so thankful that we waited for each other and feel that this was all part of a greater plan.

We both knew we did not want a long engagement, and were just so excited to officially start our lives together as husband and wife. We thought seriously about eloping, but ultimately decided it was so important to for us to have our family and closest friends present. We live in Southern California, but our families are spread out over the East Coast and Wisconsin, so it was tough to find a destination that wouldn’t require a full day of travel for our guests. After considering so many locations, we ultimately decided that a beach wedding in the Outer Banks of North Carolina was the perfect spot. Corolla is a small town beach community on the Outer Banks, known for it’s beauty and wild horses that graze the beach. I grew up taking trips with my family to Corolla, so it definitely was a special place for me. Pj and I had just spent last New Year’s Eve in Corolla with some friends, so it was a place that meant something to him, as well.

We planned this wedding in exactly three months, and I am so happy we did not wait until next year! Fortunately, since I had recently graduated and was beginning the job search, I had the time to fully devote and throw myself into the planning process. I wanted to make sure that every detail was a reflection of us as a couple, and that our guests had a great time.

We both share a love for the beach, and knew we wanted to say our vows with our feet in the sand. We rented a beach house with a huge backyard and walkway out to the sand, so it created the most perfect backyard beach party vibe. Guests arrived for the ceremony and were greeted with a rum punch – which was fitting since this was our favorite drink during our vacation in the Caribbean. The shining sun and beautiful glassy waves were the most perfect backdrop for our ceremony.

I had so much fun with all of the details and again, wanted our wedding to truly speak to all the things that make us who we are as a couple. PJ and I are at the beach almost every day, whether he is surfing, or we’re out with our dog in the sand, and one thing we take with us everywhere is our bright beach “Mexican” blanket. We decided that the perfect favor for our guests would be a fun blanket that they could use for the night in case it was chilly, and to take home as a reminder of our special night! I found a great yoga equipment company that sells blankets at wholesale and were pretty reasonable. We rolled the blankets and tied them with twine and a beautiful tag that read “to have and to hold, in case you get cold,” and placed one on each guest’s seat.

Adding to the backyard beach vibe were the table settings. I rented farm tables and found the most perfect gray and white ikat runners. I chose to use gray, white, and muted pastels for the colors, and topped each table with modern, wooden lanterns, votives and hobnail vases for the flowers.

We decided it would be fun to find a great photo (either something super funny, from back in the day, or with PJ or I) of each of our guests and use this as the escort card, rather than simply writing their names. We named each table after one of our favorite beaches, which was then written on the mini Polaroid-style photo. Our guests loved checking out all of the old photos, and definitely got some good laughs of Pj sporting dreadlocks with friends from his college days, and other never-before-seen photos.

The tables were marked with a wooden block stating the beach name in beautiful white script, and sat next to a driftwood photo holder which held a photo of this beach that we had taken together. We also added beautiful ombre menus (with a personalized note on the back) to each place setting, a gray linen and topped it off with a small piece of driftwood.

The sign accompanying our escort card display read, “friends and family, please find your smiling face. At one of our favorite beaches you will find your place!”

I definitely wanted our guests to have an authentic southern experience while at our wedding so the menu was very important. Dinner included shrimp and grits and rosemary fried chicken and desserts included all of our favorite sweets. The baker worked with me to recreate our favorite southern desserts including banana pudding, pecan pie, coconut cake & the most delicious naked almond cake with raspberry filling and butter cream frosting.

This was definitely one of my favorite touches. We used an app on our iPad called “Thrilled for you,” and set it next to a sign instructing guests what to do. Throughout the night our guests took “selfie videos” and we had a blast watching them afterwards. I think the messages are so much more fun than the standard guest book options, and it’s something we will watch again and again for years to come. We knew it would take some effort to get a lot of guests to try it out, so we instructed some of our tech-savvy teenage guests to help out and encourage everyone to give it a shot.

My dad passed away a couple of years ago and I wanted to find a way to remember him and feel his presence during the most important day of my life. My sister gave me a beautiful locket with a photo of my dad and I in it, and we tied it around the bouquet. I loved having this reminder of him while my brother walked me down the aisle, and throughout the rest of the night.

When Pj proposed, our waiter came over and set his phone down for us and informed us that he had a special song he wanted to play. It was a reggae version of John Legend’s “All of Me,” but by Jah Cure. We knew there was going to be no other option for “our song,” and first dance. We also chose to engrave our rings with this meaningful script. Pj’s ring says “all of me,” and my ring reads, “Loves all of you.” Since we normally wouldn’t have chosen this as our song, we decided to have two more slow dances, or “dedications” throughout the night. They announced Phi’s song for me, which was “Stuck on you” by Lionel Richie, and later my song for PJ which was “Sea of Love” by Cat Power. Our wedding reception was one big dance party and we both loved that playing these extra songs slowed it down and brought it back to another intimate moment between the two of us.

Sentimental North Carolina Family Homestead Wedding

For many of us, family is the very epicenter of a beautiful wedding. And this stunning bride took that notion and turned it into something truly magical. Transforming an old, unlived in home that had been in the family for generations – with the help of A Southern Soiree, photographer Richard Barlow and Life Stage Films the couple said their i-do’s under a handmade floral altar with heirloom details for days. And the result was nothing short of lovely.  Click here to see even more!

[iframe http://player.vimeo.com/video/109457101 600 338]

From A Southern SoireeKathryn and Ryan were married this past October in their hometown of Clinton, North Carolina. This was a very special wedding for everyone involved especially when Kathryn and Ryan decided they wanted to host their ceremony at Kathryn’s Granny Parker’s house. The house and family land is filled with a million memories, including the marriage of Kathryn’s parents!

From the Bride… The McPhail-Vann Family Home was built in the 1830s. It’s been added to over the years and multiple members of the family have grown/lived/celebrated in that house. My Granny Parker was basically my Great-Grandmother because she raised my Grandmother and her siblings. She was actually my Great-Great Aunt who took in four young children at the age of sixteen. My father, who spent many a day playing in this home, told me all about all of the parties and holidays that were spent there with a large majority of our family. This house has always been a hub for activity and family. No matter how far family has moved away, they always come home — this is our family homestead. Since my Granny Parker’s passing, the house has been kept by my Grandmother Jo, my father, and my Aunt Mary Jo. The house has been unlived in for the past few years, but once I decided that I’d like to get married there, my mother and I had a mission to bring it back to its old glory. My mother worked hard, with the help of my dad, my aunt, my grandmother, my brothers, and my cousins, and made the house shine. Our wedding was one of three (including my parents) that took place at the house. My Great-Great Aunt Hilda was also married in the house. Multiple family wedding receptions were held there as well, including my Grandmother and Grandaddy’s, my Granny Parker’s and my Aunt Mary Jo’s.

Reverend Richard Vaughan married my parents in the home in December of 1981. He performed many of our family’s weddings! It was very important to me that he be a part of my wedding and marriage to Ryan. The ceremony was held underneath the pecan trees on the family farm, which made for the perfect backdrop. English Garden made a beautiful arbor where we dressed it up even more by adding a chandelier hanging from the tree.

After the ceremony was over, guests were invited to Coharie Country Club for dinner and dancing! At the reception we kept it very cozy for guests to feel as though they were being invited into the couple’s home. Groupings of lounge furniture provided by Simply Put Vintage as well as the Bride’s very talented and thrifty mother, were placed outside! As guests arrived to the reception they were asked to find their favorite Bible verse and either circle or highlight it and leave a message for the couple. We thought this was a sweet idea instead of a traditional guest book. Guests enjoyed the night full of delicious food, great music provided by Groovetown Band, and care-free dancing!

Rustic Elegance at Old Edwards Inn & Spa

I’m so, so glad that this darling couple’s friend recommended Virgil Bunao to shoot their wedding day, because the results you’re about to scroll through below—well, they’re out of this world. Verge Events and Studio Flora Diva dotted the day with bits of pin-worthy gorgeous, but it’s moments like this one that really bring on the butterflies. And there are so many more right here.

From Virgil BunaoElizabeth and Chuck were the warmest, in-love couple I’ve ever met. It was a sweet throwback finding out that a good friend of theirs recommended me years ago, for “if they ever got married” and I’m so glad that they thought of me and gave me the opportunity to shoot their big day.

Old Edwards Inn and the North Carolina Highlands have been a place I’ve been wanting to shoot at for years, whether it be for a wedding or personal work (and I’m dying to go back!). With Beth’s floral magic and Stephanie and Brittany from Verge Events’ design talents, the whole day and venue just lit up. I knew Elizabeth and Chuck wanted a very mellow and relaxed wedding, and I was in absolute awe over what Stephanie, Brittany, and Beth did. These ladies really took their time with Elizabeth and Chuck and I loved that this couple’s focus was just on getting married, being love, and giving their guests a great time and their list of great vendors truly delivered on all accounts.

I had the opportunity to talk to Stephanie more in-depth about the whole planning process and it’s amazing how she and Brittany drew all of these design elements from the bride’s personality and how they collaborated with Beth from Studio Flora Diva to create a unique space. I loved photographing Elizabeth and Chuck’s decor: from the fall-themed-ruby-red centerpieces decked with feathers and antlers, to their rustic cake by Serena from Artista Cakes, it was a blast using up my film on them.

Ultimately, Elizabeth and Chuck were my favorites to photograph. Every picture of them was so, so good. The way he held her and looked at her; probably one of the first times I ever got emotional over seeing a couple so in love with each other and with their life.

Blue and Orange Adventurous Nursery

My sister and I are deep in the throes of planning her baby nursery and we’ve settled upon the idea of adventure. A wondrous, adventurous nursery land and then I saw this. Bingo! It’s exactly as you would imagine a super chic, totally fun adventure nursery to be. Faux lions, teepees and a cute little Callahan too. Get lost in this magical spot captured by Allison Kuhn Photography.

Katrina of Come+Together Events in Charlotte, North Carolina was expecting her first baby, and got to work styling his nursery right away. As a wedding planner, she was familiar with the details and making sure this nursery would be unique. The nursery was furnished with mostly blue, gray and orange accents. Katrina and her husband have traveled the world, and in doing so, Katrina included objects from their travels into the nursery. Her son, Callahan will hopefully enjoy these accents for years to come.

Merrimon-Wynne House Bridal Inspiration

Here’s the recipe for an awesome day in Raleigh: take the seriously stunning Merrimon-Wynne House, add in a team of of talented vendors (think Gather Together, Simply Elegant Floral Designs and The Cupcake Shoppe), throw a fabulous bridal event and then document it all in breathtaking images captured by Katherine Miles Jones.  Sounds like a plan. Soak in all of the gorgeous right here.

From Gather Together… The Merrimon-Wynne House held its first Bridal Event on January 10, 2015. Jodi and Kaila wanted to host a fun and upbeat event that celebrated their current brides as well as all of the newly engaged couples who were interested in choosing The Merrimon-Wynne House to celebrate their big day! When Jodi and Kaila thought about who was going to participate, they decided that they didn’t want this event to feel like your typical bridal show where you meet multiple vendors in each vendor category. Instead, they decided that one vendor from each vendor category would be chosen to show off their best work. They chose vendors who they felt would best exemplify the feeling of a wedding day at The Merrimon-Wynne House from the minute that a bride walks through the doors in the morning with their bridesmaids to begin getting ready, to the moment that they are about to walk back out those same doors with their new husband at the end of the evening. Once the vision was set in stone, Merrimon-Wynne partnered with Gather Together Event Planning + Design to pull all the gorgeous, fun details together.

As recently engaged couples stepped into The Merrimon-Wynne House for the event, they were greeted with a glass of champagne served on a silver platter, and the smooth sounds of Robert Spaziano’s keyboard and saxophone. They were also offered the opportunity to register to win some amazing prizes offered by each vendor. Every half hour guests could gather at the base of the staircase for a tour of the venue with Kaila or Jodi as their guide.

Their first stop was to see Anna with Simply Elegant Floral Designs, who had set up a bouquet bar adorned with low to high-budget bridal bouquets, boutonnieres, and flower crowns. The future brides were able to hold her bouquets, try on her flower crowns, and see the versatility of what Simply Elegant Floral Designs can offer on their wedding day. The fabulous florals didn’t stop there. The entire event had touches of Simply Elegant Floral Designs’ work throughout. There were beautiful arrangements in every room, on the mantles, outside under the tent, and even atop all of the vendors’ heads – flower crowns for everyone!

As the future brides set down the bouquets, they moved into the next room where One & Only Custom Stationery had their hand-crafted invitation suites beautifully displayed alongside their calligraphy, and guests could help themselves to another drink. Walking past the champagne tower set under the center chandelier, visitors were lured into the next room by the delicious scent of a signature Donovan’s Dish Shrimp and Grits station.

Guests were then led up the staircase to the bridal suites where Alexia’s Bridal had some of their jaw-dropping gowns on display, and a live model glided through the event wearing one of their favorite designs. Parlor Blow Dry Bar was set up with a Braid or Up-Do Bar and a Lipstick Bar. While the girls were getting dolled up, the groom-to-be and mother of the bride were able to chat with Saks Fifth Avenue in the Groom’s Room about their amazing selection of suits and gowns for all occasions leading up to the big day! A “How to Tie a Tie” Bar could also be found in the Groom’s Room, giving the future grooms no excuses on their wedding day! After enjoying some primping, couples could sit down with Gather Together Events for “Why to Hire a Planner” consultations!

The Merrimon-Wynne House sits on an acre of land in the heart of downtown Raleigh, creating the perfect site for a ceremony, lawn games, and dinner underneath market lights. Party Reflections set the lawn up for a ceremony with a beautiful arbor covered in lush greenery by Simply Elegant Floral Designs. Market lights were strung over the lawn to create a romantic and intimate setting.

The event continued out into a Party Reflections tent where Bunn DJ Company was set up and entertaining guests with their dance floor-bouncing beats. There were 3 gorgeous table settings displayed to illustrate low to high-budget tablescapes, including florals on each by Simply Elegant Floral Designs. To complement each table, The Cupcake Shoppe created a unique and beautiful cake! There was also delicious mini cupcakes and cake pops for everyone to enjoy. Lounge areas were created with gorgeous pieces by Themeworks underneath their beautiful center chandelier.

Guests could mingle through the event while sipping on a cocktail, enjoying some fine fare, and getting to connect with some of the vendors that were a part of making The Merrimon-Wynne House’s first year of business such a success.

Organic + Elegant Wedding Inspiration

Around these parts, organic elegance is a style combo that never ceases to onset a swooning-fit. So when Almond Leaf Studios sent their version, including a $54,000 ring from Wick And Greene kept safe by The Mrs. Box, we couldn’t wait to add every beautiful bit to our galleries. Incredible shoes from Emmy London, whimsical invites from Bohemian Ink and blooms from Flora Events—it’s all sooo good.

Whimsical

From Almond Leaf StudiosWith exposed brick as the backdrop for this indoor shoot, we wanted an elegant, whimsical feel to balance out the strength and tones of the brick. Soft elements like the velvet ring box (the Mrs Box) and loose calligraphy over subtle watercolor helped to create this romantic setting while the architectural nature of olive branches formed the perfect wall installation.

The shoes, which were flown in from London (hello Emmy London shoes!) and the super rare pink diamond from Wick and Greene jewelers (valued at over $54,000) added the perfect amount of sparkle.

Inspiration comes in all sorts of ways, and we hope that you are as inspired as we were by collaborating with such talented vendors on this shoot!

From Rebecca Rose EventsI’ve known and worked with Sara, and called her a friend for long enough to know that when she asked me to style and coordinate her wedding day, it would not only be an enormous honor, but a wonderfully fulfilling process for me as an artist as well. Each detail was purposefully chosen, created and/or styled to reflect their playful personalities and delight the senses. Justin and Sara’s only wish was that the day be full of joy and free of distraction from what mattered most – their love and commitment to each other. What’s not to love about that?!

From The Bride…Justin and I grew up in separate North Carolina towns not too far from the mountains. We knew when we got engaged that there was no other place we could promise ourselves to each other than the mountains we grew up in.

Our ceremony was small, family only, at the Old Sherrill’s Inn outside Asheville, a charming place that suited us perfectly and that Justin found through a Google search two months (to the day) before our wedding after our original venue fell through. It couldn’t have been more of a happy accident.

My favorite part of our wedding day wasn’t a moment, necessarily, though seeing all the haphazard design ideas my mom and I dreamed up come together through Becca’s hands was pretty magical. The best part was truly how present I felt all day long. I remember the vows I said, and the way husband looked at me. I spent quality time with my family and his, watching our two families become a family. I laughed, cried, and spent time with my husband. That was the best part of the day for me.

As a photographer, having amazing pictures of the two of us on our wedding day was really important to me. We were so lucky to spend almost an hour with Laura taking photos together after the ceremony. It was definitely something we had to make a priority when planning our day, but amidst the all toasting and well-wishing, it was wonderful to have some time just for us.

From The Bride…After dating for 14 years, we agreed that we wanted our wedding to be less about us and more a celebration of our families and friends joining together. So many details made the day extra special! Eric’s cousin officiated our wedding & his father officiated our Persian ceremony the night before. I was able to wear my mother’s mantilla lace veil during our ceremony that she wore on her wedding day. I also had fabric given by my brother, father and grandfather sewn into my gown. Honoring family members that had passed was extremely important to us. We provided photos of those family members on their wedding days on a legacy table, which ended up being our favorite details. Finally, the room where we exchanged vows was important to us, as we wanted a place that felt warm, romantic and like home. The day of the wedding, it evoked those emotions times a million, with the help of our closest family and friends. Being surrounded by loving people and beautiful surroundings, it was without a single doubt the best day of our lives!

Whimsical and Romantic Old Edwards Inn Wedding

The perfect blend of artistic minds, No Regrets Events and Floressence Flowers teamed up at the Old Edwards Inn & Spa and the results are simply stunning. From the mint bridesmaids’ gowns the lucky-in-love couple, every little detail Ashley Seawell Photography captured in the gallery is more than beautiful than the last and can be found right here.

From Ashley Seawell PhotographyJoHanna and Eric chose beautiful Highlands, NC for their wedding weekend. Because most of their guests were traveling from far distances, it was important to them to find a place where their guests could relax. The Bride and Groom decided that The Farm at Old Edwards Inn would be the perfect wedding location because of its captivating views and delectable cuisine. They were excited to bring their family and friends to a pristine space that was peaceful and filled with a natural landscape. The wedding design team and No Regrets Events allowed the busy couple to easily plan their dream wedding from a distance. The soft hues of pink and gray complimented the lush, mountainous landscape. After the ceremony, guests were invited to dine at tables lined with dahlias, succulents, garden roses and hydrangea. Following dinner, the Bride and Groom enjoyed their first dance and cake cutting inside the open air barn.

Classic Southern Wedding

Classic with a big ol’ dash of glamour is never a bad thing, especially when it comes in the form of a stunning NC affair planned to absolute perfection by Rebecca Rose Events.  Imagine hot pink blooms from Amy Lynne Originals, a breathtaking backdrop and a little sparkle thrown in for good measure.  See it all captured beautifully by Whitebox Photography right here.

From Rebecca Rose Events… Emily and Loren’s wedding in Winston-Salem, North Carolina was as simple and classic as it was full of joy. These two chose to celebrate in the city of Emily’s alma mater and said their vows at the historic Wait Chapel on the campus of Wake Forest University. Their reception, at the University’s beautiful Graylyn Estate, embodied the epitome of great southern hospitality. The food and beverages were delicious and plentiful, the decor was simple and classic and the laughter and joy were infectious.

Working with these two was such a delight. Emily loves bold, vibrant colors and playful patterns. Loren was game for all of those things, so we had a great time selecting design elements that represented a modern take on some classic wedding elements.

Sophisticated Southern Wedding Inspiration

My biggest color obsession yet this year? A good, rich pop of red. The kind of red that is peeking it’s pretty head into every detail of this sophisticated Southern shoot from Mark Potter Photography and Kerri Leigh Events. And those blooms from Amy Lynne Originals? Well they made it into just about every single image because they’re so. darn. gorgeous. See what I mean right here.

From Mark Potter PhotographyThis sophisticated and stylish wedding inspiration was photographed on film at the picturesque Graylyn International Conference Center in Winston Salem, North Carolina. Kerri Leigh Events styled the affair using beautiful deep rich shades of red, plum, burgundy and pink. Different textures were incorporated into the design with the use of stone, wood, and gold accents. The bride wore a gorgeous Amsale (Quinn) gown and the groom wore a stylish black tuxedo. His red, gold, and green boutonniere added a punch of class and color. The bride’s flowers complimented the overall design with a loose bouquet highlighting lovely greens and splashes of the deep reds and pinks. The use of a Rolls Royce wedding car added a level of sophistication and style that compliments the feel of this estate like venue. The images were created on film, giving a beautiful, soft, and dreamy feel. We love the whole feel of this styled shoot and feel that SMP readers would gain lots of inspiration from the different elements and overall cohesiveness of this set.

Chic Beach Wedding at Sanderling Resort

With a dreamy beach backdrop, photographer Genevieve Stewart Photography captured not only the loving couple, but the gorgeous light as it touched the wedding pavilion at Sanderling Resort. This chic beach wedding held on the Outer Banks was designed to perfection with coral, succulents, sandalwood and blush arrangements, and we’ve got all the beachy details sitting right here.

From Sanderling Resort… When you look back on all the brides you’ve be able to send down the aisle, the ones you have poured your heart out into pleasing, the ones you have stayed up countless nights striving for the perfect timeline- even these pale in comparison to the absolutely divine bride we had the honor of marrying at our resort. A true Carrie, she could have walked right off of the streets in NYC with Miranda, Samantha and Charlotte. Can we start by saying… that bouquet — the simple perfection it was with her dress would have pleased the highest of wedding gods. The one detail that completed the ensemble was the immaculate Christian Dior shoes we were swooning over. In addition to Comanche’s wedding rings, she wore her mother’s vintage dinner ring, which was an extremely special detail to her. The groom wore his Green Bay Packers cuff links for a little luck. We were blessed with the most romantic light for their couple shots immediately following their ceremony, and the shots Genevieve Stewart got was able to capture blew us away. The reception was a champagne haven, their favorite. Blush sequined linens with rustic wooden tables, dotted with lush air plants, soft pink blooms, and creamy white coral pieces. After this crowd gave new meaning to “dancing the night away,” the newly weds arranged to have a late night bacon bar for their guests to munch on before the after party.

From the Bride…  As for the ceremony itself – we were aiming for an “intimate” wedding of 80 people, the majority traveling from NY, CA and WI (even England) – with an estimated 90% of our guests visiting the Outer Banks for the very first time. We were very excited to introduce/share this beautiful location with everyone. In lieu of a traditional wedding party (quite simply, it was too difficult to choose from a number of close friends) we opted to have our parents not only walk us down the aisle but stand up with us, as our good friend Antony Ainsworth officiated our marriage ceremony. One of our favorite moments of the reception was the enthusiastic reaction [understatement!] to our rolling out the Bacon Bar towards the end of the evening. As if the Sanderling Chefs and wedding cake [Melissa Gregory] had not already exceeded our expectations, there was a mad rush to the table overflowing with pork products – both sweet and savory. Our friends and family are still talking about it!

Glamorous Southern Wedding

If there is anything I’ve learned in my years at SMP, it’s that Southern with a side of glamour is always an amazing combo.  And this breathtaking North Carolina wedding?  Proving my point whole heartedly.  It’s the fabulous stylings of Events By La Fete meets all things sophisticated and sparkly.  See it captured in beautiful images by Rebecca for Millie Holloman Photography in the full gallery.

From Events By La Fête… Meredith and Alex, both lovers of the outdoors, were married on the groom’s family farm, complete with blossoming cotton fields! It was the perfect backdrop for a gorgeous Southern wedding. Meredith wanted to enhance the natural beauty of the landscape so we kept all of the colors very neutral with whites, creams and touches of natural wood. Billowing white fabric, crystal chandeliers and antique French furniture glammed up the design and provided the perfect juxtaposition to the farm land. It was important to the bride and groom that each guests had a memorable experience. Sol Fusion was hired to entertain and not a guest went home without dancing! Interactive food stations were placed throughout the tent which encouraged guests to mingle and taste a plethora of various North Carolina delicacies. The bride also wanted to honor her father, a lover of bourbon, so we created a “Man Cave” that doubled as a bourbon bar.

Meredith wore a strapless tulip chantilly lace mermaid gown with hand pieced circular flange train and mum garden hemline designed by Vera Wang. In addition, she wore Vera Wang’s Lisbeth veil, which was a chapel length two layer veil with tulip and rose lace trim. Meredith was absolutely stunning and we were honored to help her create her perfect wedding day!
