Modern Elegance Wedding Inspiration Shoot

For the Bride who appreciates classic glamour, this shoot from Caroline Lima is for you. A pairing of stylish elements and golden accents is enough to make any girl giddy, but add in an estate fit for royalty and you’ve got yourself on pin-worthy inspo. With paper goods by Amanda Day Rose and Sugar Euphoria providing the sweets, this is one gallery you won’t want to miss. See it in The Vault!

From Caroline Lima PhotographyI’m so excited to share this gorgeous editorial shoot with you! We added a touch of the South throughout the details and decor, the model is a gorgeous Brazilian girl. She wore a stunning Hayley Paige dress!

From Amanda Day RoseOur inspiration for this shoot was a modern bride who appreciates classic, Southern wedding traditions – the bride who honors traditional wedding values, but doesn’t want to lose sight of her modern, minimalistic style, either. She honors her heritage with Southern traditions and décor throughout her wedding celebration.

The bride is wearing a sleek, modern Hayley Paige gown with classic accents around the waist. A traditional white cake is adorned with contemporary hand-painted lace details and the couple’s monogram – a nod to their Southern background. Traditional white roses and gold décor cover the tablescape, playing off the modern clear beaded chargers, gold-rimmed glassware, and white chiavari chairs.

We alluded to several wedding traditions throughout the design and décor. A hand-drawn monogram is used on the invitation suite as well as the cake – a classic symbol of Southern wedding style. A bourbon bar plays off the idea of the bride and groom burying the bottle of bourbon before their wedding. A traditional wedding bell is displayed for guests to ring for a kiss from the couple. A blue Mrs. Box provides the bride with “something blue” and a welcome box greets guest upon arrival for the weekend as a sign of appreciation and Southern hospitality.

A Fairytale Come True Wedding at The Biltmore Estate

Every little girl dreams of a fairytale life, complete with a Prince Charming and Happily Ever After. For this gorgeous Bride, her dream came true when she married her handsome Groom at the magnificent Biltmore Estate. And, Life Stage Films captured the gorgeous day, coordinated by Weddings With Tara, in a film that’s safe to say rivals any Disney fairytale.

[iframe http://player.vimeo.com/video/101631000 600 338]

From the Bride… We both didn’t really have a specific vision prior to planning our wedding. We had been together for 6 years before we got engaged so I had thought about it some and he did as well but the details really came together once we started planning. The only things that we knew we wanted prior to planning was our venue and that we wanted to make it classy and elegant.

We were going for a classic style and neutral color palate. We both love blue so we used that as an accent color but we predominantly used creams, whites and golds.

I am a very big crafter so I wanted to craft a lot of items for the wedding. Where to begin! For the rehearsal dinner I used wine corks as picture holders. Every place setting had a photo of either my husband or me with the guest seated there from sometime in the past (many photos were of us as children). I also had a “In memory of…” table at the rehearsal dinner. I used my great grandmother’s dressing table where she used to sit to put on her makeup every morning, and on top I had my husband’s grandmother’s jewelry box, my grandmother’s jewelry box, my other great grandmother’s book that was made for her by her friends in 1927, “Helpful Hints to a Bride”; and a rose cut from my mother’s garden to top it off. At the wedding I also had a “In memory of…” wall with pictures of our parents, grandparents, great grandparents and great-great grandparents in their 20’s. I also made all the table numbers for the rehearsal dinner and the wedding. For the rehearsal dinner, I dried flowers and adhered them to a burlap canvas, and for the wedding I cross-stitched the numbers onto antique doilies. My last big project was our guest book tablecloth. I cross stitched a picture of Biltmore House in the center of it and also embroidered our names on it.

My favorite moment was just seeing everything come together. For months we had worked so hard on so many individual pieces of the wedding, and then to see all of them come together that weekend was magical. We both loved seeing how everyone from all different parts of our life had come together to celebrate us.

We had a grand vision for our floral arrangements and wanted them to be lush and elegant. Stacy with the Bloom Room went above and beyond and the outcome looked fantastic! I went with my mother to Bridal’s By Lori in Atlanta to get my gown. I had looked at some gowns on Pinterest and I wanted something with intricate details. I immediately fell in love with my dress and all of the embellishments on it and knew it would also fit the venue perfectly!  For our favors we gave out champagne bottles with a custom label on it. We chose the artwork for our label, and modified it slightly to feature out two cats, Lacey and Lou Lou. For our cake we wanted something simple and elegant to tie into our overall vision and Biltmore delivered!

The one piece of advice I have to give is the same piece of advice someone gave me before I got married: Be selfish. It sounds harsh but what they meant is to really relish in the moment of your wedding and to not be afraid to have/do something in your wedding that no one else wants to do; do it because it is what you and your future husband want to do! It is a celebration of your love, so make it what the two of you want it to be!

From Life Stage FilmsWe just could not get enough of Ryan & Rebecca’s sweet and authentic love for one another. Their wedding took place in the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains at the majestic Biltmore Estate. Becca and Ryan, were the most laid back bride and groom we’ve seen. However, when it came to each other they wore their hearts on their sleeves. It was too easy to see exactly how much they loved each other. We adored all of the sincere toasts from their friends and family members at the rehearsal dinner. Becca and Ryan helped create a sparkling wine as a gift for all the guests to enjoy. The vintage wedding dress Becca wore was perfect for this fairy tale wedding. She even entered the ceremony in a horse-drawn carriage! The end of the night fireworks were simply amazing. We can’t think of a more perfect way to cap off one of the most incredible weddings we have ever captured!

Rustic Elegant Fall Beaufort Wedding

It’s hard to beat a Southern celebration in itself but with a property this beautiful, this one takes the cake. Add in this menu that makes me melt and I’m downright envious of this wedding planned by Events By La Fete. The Bride’s smile radiates in every pic by Amanda and Brent Holloman of Millie Holloman Photography and there’s plenty more where that came from in our Vault – right this way!

From the Bride… The crystal coast is an incredibly meaningful place to us. Four years ago we met there, two and half years ago we were engaged there and on October 11, 2014, a stunningly beautiful day, we were married there in Beaufort, NC. Our wedding took place on a private, family owned property on the intracoastal waterway. We both have a deep love for the outdoors so having an outdoor wedding was important to us from the start. Two beautiful white tents, natural wood tables, white linen furniture, chandeliers and flowers galore, helped us create an elegant, yet laid back, feel for our friends and family to celebrate. An old boating warehouse on the property where we draped the old walls and entry ways with soft flowing white fabric provided a whimsical and sophisticated space for long wood tables decorated with simple centerpieces of greenery and dimly lit candles to create a warm and inviting ambiance. Our band, Black and Blue experience was exactly what we had hoped for, fun, fun, fun! Not a dull moment or an empty dance floor. To top it off our food was out of this world. Our mutual love for food is something that we have had in common from day one. We had station after station of our most favorites! Cocktail hour began with a boat full (literally an old boat) of the best oysters on the half shell, passed hors d’oeuvres of ahi tuna tacos, smoked pork tenderloin bites with sweet potato butter and onion jam and beef carpaccio and arugula roll ups with minted mustard – wowing our guests! As if it couldn’t get any better, we had a gourmet mac & cheese bar, Asian bar with thai asian noodles in mini Chinese to go boxes, a stunning rustic antipasto bar, and much more. Our cake was custom designed tiramisu with butter cream frosting…to die for. We rounded out the evening with passed pimento cheese bites, pork belly po’ boys and a runway full of sparklers…truly the wedding of our dreams.

North Carolina Family Farm Wedding

When you’ve got a 51 acre family farm (once owned by a King, no less) in the beautifully sprawling South, it’s kind of no brainer to say your I do’s on that land full of rich history. That’s exactly what Katherine and Nathan did, along with their happily tremendous 350 guests and a team of incredible vendors who put the pretty into this day. Leigh Pearce WeddingsAmy Lynne Originals and Paisley and Jade to be exact, and you can see every inch of it in Whitebox Photography‘s imagery here in The Vault!

From Leigh Pearce WeddingsWhen your family farm has so much rich history and personal significance, it is a no brainer where to tie the knot. Katherine and Nathan were married in October on Nathan’s family’s 51 acre farm in Salisbury, North Carolina. The land the farm sits on today came from a grant handed down from King George II in 1755 and once served as a refuge for troops during the Battle of Alamance and the Battle of Guildford Courthouse. The beloved farm now serves as a haven and weekend getaway spot for family members.. and of course, the perfect wedding location for Katherine and Nathan, their bridal party (11 bridesmaids, 11 groomsmen, 13 ushers, 2 ring bearers, and 2 flower girls!!!) and their 350 guests.

Their ceremony took place nestled in a field of milo in, what we lovingly named, our outdoor church. A custom set of doors led into an open air tent filled with hundreds of white rose petals, wooden church pews, and a beautiful custom cathedral window pane piece adorned with a floral and greenery covered cross.

After their I dos, Katherine and Nathan’s guests made their way up a path lined with pine trees and Edison lights to cocktail hour. Upon entering the cocktail hour tent, guests were greeted with prosecco and fried green tomato and pimento cheese sliders.

As an ode to K+N’s careers in the beverage industry, we created their very own bar establishment underneath a nearby barn. We dubbed this area The Sparrows’ Nest (their new last name) and even created a custom logo for cocktail napkins and bar signs. Guests enjoyed a signature barrel aged bourbon cocktail and relaxed in the lounges made of eclectic vintage furniture.

As the sun went down over the rolling hills of the farm, guests made their way to the main tents for dinner and dancing. Two clear top tents placed in a cove of stately pines were the perfect backdrop for their reception. Katherine always dreamed of an evening under the stars so, the clear top tents reflecting hundreds of soft twinkling lights created the perfect starry ambiance. A Southern feast was served including traditional NC BBQ, macaroni and cheese, collard greens, deviled eggs, pickled vegetables, and a trio of wedding cakes before everyone danced the night away to a fabulous local band. As the night drew to a close, the new Mr. and Mrs. Sparrow were showered with bird seed by their friends and family before stealing away in a vintage Rolls Royce. The perfect ending to a picture perfect day!!

Summer Garden Wedding at Fearrington House

Southern daytime wedding is my cup of (sweet) tea! Overflowing with love and sweet looks, these two said “I do” at Fearrington House and toasted with Southern comforts from cornbread to grits galore. We have Marcie Meredith to thank for capturing all these tasty treats (this cake!) and for helping to make our Friday morning a whole lot brighter! See it all in the Vault right this way!

From Marcie Meredith Photography… It was a hot summer day, but a kind couple, yummy Southern comfort food, and a relaxed environment made for a wonderful wedding. Emily and Grant decided on a daytime wedding full of classic touches at the Fearrington House. In a serene natural environment, the ceremony was set in the Crab Apple Garden. White flowers with hints of blush and peach adorned the aisle. The soft color theme continued in all of the floral arrangements and bouquets, the bridesmaid dresses and the light, airy outdoor terrace. Lunch was full of assorted meats and cheeses, smoked salmon, shrimp, and crab dip as well as traditional Southern grits, cornbread, mac & cheese, and other delicious treats. Food for the soul! I especially loved seeing Emily and Grant take care of their guests and create an atmosphere in which they could spend time with everyone. It was truly an honor to be a part of!

Coastal Elegance Inspired Wedding in North Carolina

With the pretty pastel hues and gorgeous ocean views, this stunning North Carolina affair captured by Faith Teasley is seaside southern perfection. It doesn’t hurt that the darling couple at the center of it all are not only gorgeous, but obviously head over heels in love for each other. Add in the gorgeous florals from Your Perfect Day and it’s safe to say this wedding is a total winner.

From The Bride…For two outdoorsy, nature-loving people, a wedding on the Pungo River in Belhaven, North Carolina was the perfect location for a spring wedding. Waking up with the sun rising over the water was the perfect way to start the day on May 30th, and it was all smooth sailing from there. The weather was beautiful and everything went off without a hitch. From the pastel peonies and hydrangeas to the burlap accents and mason jars under the white tent, the essence of the south showed through. We knew our vision for our wedding day had become a reality when we first saw the decor. After an intimate ceremony down by the water it was time for a quick cocktail hour, where guests grabbed a drink and snacked on crab cakes and bacon wrapped scallops. The reception took place under the white tent, which was lit up with beautiful string lighting. Dancing, laughter and love filled the air all the way up until the grand sparkler exit. This laid back, southern wedding was everything we could have hoped for and we will never forget the day we said I do!

Elegant Traditional North Carolina Barn Wedding

Bursting with the sweetness and sophisticated elegance only a Southern Wedding can exude so effortlessly, this beautiful blush-filled affair from SMP-fave Nancy Ray Photography is sure to take your breath away in an instant. And the best part? The whole day was filled with DIY hand lettering — from the Bridesmaids dress hangers to the reception escort cards — done by the beautiful Bride herself. Take a peek at all the pretty the full gallery here!

From Nancy Ray PhotographyCaroline and Patrick had captured my heart since the time I took their engagement photos, and I knew their wedding was going to be special. They are young, but they are such old souls in love! They are so grounded, and I love that about them.

I was so impacted by the time and attention that Caroline put into every detail of her wedding. My favorite thing about the details? Her heart was selfless in creating every one. The hand-lettering and watercolor that Caroline created for her wedding were for always focused on others: for her guests on their name tags, for her bridesmaids on their custom hangers, for her family that attended the rehearsal dinner, for her husband-to-be on his hand written note. Patrick was smitten by her, and rightfully so! She looked stunning. It was a beautiful celebration!

Elegant Southern Wedding with a Playful Twist

A pretty pastel rose and peony bouquet, a ceremony at the church the Bride grew up attending, and a gorgeous couple—this North Carolina affair has all the makings of a perfect Southern wedding. And when you add the Bride’s sparkly pink shoes, trolley transportation and colorful ribbon wand exit, it’s the loveliest mix of traditional and fun. See it all from Robyn Van Dyke Photography in the gallery.

From Robyn Van Dyke PhotographyChris & David met when they were just 16 years old at summer camp and they’ve been together ever since! They planned a very classic, southern, and meaningful wedding and said “I do” at the very same church that Chris grew up in. The most beautiful garland adorned the church doors and there were garlands and candles in each of the big church windows. The bride wore a pearl-studded gown and ribbon sash while the bridesmaids wore a soft shade of full-length pink dresses, and all the men wore classic tuxes with suspenders and bow ties! Gorgeous southern blooms in shades of white and blush were used, and pops of gold at the reception tied everything together beautifully! We also loved the unexpected fun details the bride incorporated to bring out their personality from her sparkly confetti Kate Spade heels to the rainbow ribbon wands for their exit! They also made sure to leave time for some special moments with their family & friends that day, and the bride gave a handwritten note to her father to thank him for being such a godly, loving example of what a husband should be like before exchanging letters with the groom during their first look! What a perfectly sweet, classic southern wedding!

From The Bride…Zach and I both grew up moving around a lot, so neither one of us really had a place that felt like “we have to get married here.” So we decided to have a destination wedding, and we wanted to pick a place that wasn’t too difficult for our guests to travel to. Being North Carolinians, and Zach being a Tar Heel, we knew we wanted to get married in North Carolina. It came down to either beach or mountain wedding. When we visited Asheville for the first time, we knew. This would be the place where we would get married, the place that we would come back to for years to come, the place that is “ours”. After much research, we found Claxton Farm and we knew it was perfect. And with the help of Shay Brown of Shay Brown Events, it was. With months and months of praying for good weather, we got exactly that. The sky was a beautiful Carolina blue, contrasted against the lush greens all around us. It was perfect. Shay helped bring my rustic elegant vision to life.

Zach and I wanted the whole wedding to be centered around family. Our daughter Emma Grace was the flower girl, my uncle was our officiant, my brother played the ceremony music, and we had flowers honoring and celebrating the presence of Zach’s older sister Emma, who passed away when Zach was in high school. We wanted the entire feel of the wedding to be centered around love. One of my favorite details of the wedding was the two doors we had with old family photos hanging.

We wanted to enhance the natural beauty of the venue, without taking away from it. Claxton Farm was a blank canvas for Shay to really get creative, and boy did she! We used lush greenery, mixed with soft neutral florals. It complimented the natural beauty of Claxton Farm and the mountains of North Carolina perfectly. The entire wedding was visually stunning. It was like a fairytale!

Sweet + Rustic North Carolina Wedding

When it comes to choosing your wedding venue, I’m a firm believer that decision should be wholeheartedly inspired by your journey. And for this mountain-loving duo, the peaceful forest served as a reprieve from their long distance relationship. The beauty of Blowing Rock Country Club set the stage for each sweet scene captured by Marcie Meredith Photography. See it all here in The Vault!

[iframe http://player.vimeo.com/video/131835241 600 338]

From The Bride…Ben and I met our freshman year of high school and began dating our sophomore year when we found ourselves in Chemistry class together (ironic?) and I asked him to our Sadie Hawkins dance. While we are both from Raleigh, we entered into a long distance relationship during college with Ben attending Appalachian State University located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina and me attending the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. While Ben has always been a true mountaineer from a young age, I quickly jumped on board with my many weekend trips to visit him during college and post-college with Ben then moving to Atlanta for a job opportunity and us meeting half-way at his family’s mountain home. The mountains became “our place” – a special place of peace where life is simple, sweet, beautiful, and very dear to our hearts. There was no question that this is where we would one day say our vows to one another.

We spent 8 months planning our wedding at Blowing Rock Country Club in which we held the ceremony in the open-air lake house on the property and shuttled guests to the reception at the clubhouse. While adding detail to the day was personally my favorite part, together Ben and I enjoyed the planning of the ceremony the most. The ceremony was extremely important to us, we wanted it to reflect our relationship and honor Christ who first loved us and graced us with life. My favorite detail of the ceremony was the cross that Ben and his dad made that stood before us at the alter adorned in a romantic flower arrangement. The best part of the day was walking to Ben – I couldn’t get to him quick enough to embark on life together as one and profess my loving commitment and solemn vows before God and our most treasured family and friends.

And finally, our reception. Swoon. Our main focus for the reception was to create a relaxed, warm and inviting, intimate ambiance for guests to feel comfortable and enjoy themselves. The cozy mountain country club with wooden walls, a large stone fireplace, high ceilings, rustic light fixtures in combination with the dainty details we incorporated – light airy flowers, king’s table covered in lace and champagne, warm candle light, and gold accents – made for the most dreamy evening and exactly what we had imagined.

If I had to summarize our wedding in one word, it would be “sweet” – and that is just what we wanted as a reflection of the day. Thank you to everyone who helped make this day a perfect success. We are so very blessed for this sweet beginning and excited for what life has in store for us.

There’s something about ceremonies with church pews outside that make my wedding blogger brain burst with joy; I love it oh so much. The juxtaposition of a contemporary take on something so traditional makes me giddy and this special sight might be one of the best. With Marcie Meredith’s pics, we’re swept away to the lovely North Carolina lakeside, where this whole fairytale got it’s start – let’s go!

From the Bride… Ryan and I met at a house party. I was just a small town Southern girl, who had just ran her car over a stump, scared to death to tell her daddy that she had ripped her car’s undercarriage… at a house party. Ryan was the most handsome of men, with his dark hair slicked back and his mysterious eyes conveying adventure. He was walking down the hall and our eyes met, and in that moment, with those beautiful mysterious eyes, he winked at me. It was all over from there. Sounds like a modern Cinderella story huh? Only one small problem… I was dating someone.

Somehow, and fast, he stole me away from the past and within a month he became my new future. Our beginning relationship survived on late night phone calls and emails and within a month, Ryan had packed up his things in New Jersey and headed back home to live. We have spent everyday together since.

We spent our summers together on Badin Lake with my family. It was our safe haven and the place where our love ran free. So naturally Ryan proposed at Badin Lake on November 1, 2014.

We wanted our wedding to reflect our relationship: simple, pure, captivating and completely engulfed in God’s love. We created our venue on top of a hill that overlooked all of Badin Lake. Besides the fact that this location was the best kept secret of New London – it was right in the middle of where Ryan first told me that he loved me and where he proposed. It was absolutely perfect.

We wanted our ceremony to be personal. We celebrated and honored the lives of my grandfathers, who recently passed away two years ago. Their presence was strong as I glanced at the chairs we had for them, adorned with their hats and marking their love. We wrote our own vows, confessing our love once again, and they are now framed by our bed. We also took communion – just us two. It was an overwhelming, yet intimate experience as we started our lives together.

As for our reception, it was meant to be nothing but a good time! Ryan and I took the dance floor together as husband and wife to “If I Ain’t Got You” covered by Maroon 5. As we held each other and sang the song, everyone disappeared. My father then took my hand and we danced to “My Little Girl” by Tim McGraw. As the song began to play, I noticed that it wasn’t Tim McGraw who was singing… it was my daddy. As I looked into his tear-filled eyes, I knew I had been the luckiest girl in the world. We cried together and those were the only tears shed that wonderful day.

Our reception continued and everyone joined the dance floor. There was laughter, there was singing and there were many, many dance parties. Shoes were off and bodies were moving. Our wedding day was simply a glimpse into what our future holds – love, laugher, and one great adventure.

Ryan and I are now the owners of this property and a soon-to-be new wedding venue, Cutting’s View!

From the Newlyweds… I would say we were going for an elopement with a couple of friends :) It rained heavily all morning that day and I was getting pretty worried. I was looking so forward to the amazing pictures at the Mast Farm Inn and I did not want to have the wedding inside. As the ladies were getting ready that morning, I was starting to brood as I ran around getting ready with an umbrella. About an hour before the wedding, the skies cleared and the sun came out and we actually had to wait for the sun to go down to take pictures in the open areas since the sunshine was so bright. We had a wonderfully relaxed wedding with just our closest friends. We had amazing drinks, wonderful food, and just a great time celebrating our wedding in Boone, NC.

From Revival PhotographyChristina + David reside in Chapel Hill, NC. They wanted a relaxed and intimate wedding with their closest friends and so they traveled to The Mast Farm Inn in the historic Valle Crucis, NC. A charming little B & B in the valle of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Christina + David descrive themselves as nature lovers that enjoy traveling and seeing the world together. They also enjoy hiking, visiting national parks, and beer tasting and fine dining – and so The Mast Farm Inn was the perfect place for them to have their intimate destination wedding ceremony. David + the guys chilled on the front porch of the historic Loom House cabin, while the ladies relaxed in the Granary cabin…

From The Mast Farm InnSo Much More… The world renowned Mast Farm Inn of Valle Crucis is nothing short of a handcrafted masterpiece of North Carolina Folk Art.

After the ceremony Christina + David and their guests enjoyed a cocktail hour, music, good food, and lawn games by the barn, followed by visiting with the farm animals.

The Sweetest Atlantic Coast Family Vow Renewal

As a newlywed excited to start a family of my own, this vow renewal, so gracefully captured by Michael & Carina Photography, gave me a glimpse into the sweet joy that five years of marriage can bring. With two adorable little ladies (who held the most darling bouquets) and one on the way, Amanda and Mike renewed their I do’s family-style and barefoot in the sand. See more of their day here in the gallery!

From Michael and Carina Photography… This is one of the sweetest events with you that a photographer could only hope for. It is styled and pretty, but it is also 100% authentic. This vow renewal reminds me that love is not just the wedding. Love is a journey and the wedding is just the beginning.

Amanda and Mike celebrated their 5 year wedding anniversary renewing their vows amidst their friends and family at their favorite beach at Cape Hatteras. It was everything they had hoped for: fun, laid-back, romantic and salty. The ocean breeze tossed Amanda’s dress and hair all day and it was just perfect.

The couple said their second I do’s barefoot just a few steps from the Atlantic ocean, while holding the hands of their two daughters. The third daughter was also part of their celebration, she will be welcomed into the family in just a few months. This pregnant mom is as beautiful as can be in her breathtaking dress from Maya Couture. The oldest daughter was determined to help her get dressed earlier that day; she was the sweetest bridesmaid! The two girls had matching dresses that went perfectly with the soft blush color of their mom’s gown. They also carried miniature bridal bouquets down the aisle!

The soft blush and champagne tones went well with the soft colors of the sand and the ocean. The seashells used for the detail photos, are from the beach where Amanda and Mike first said “I do” five years ago. These little personal touches added to the special feeling of their vow renewal. Local crabs were on the menu for dinner, while everybody enjoyed a laid-back evening by the water.

The couple had their first dance as the sun was setting over the water and snuggled in the sand as the sun slowly disappeared.

From The Bride…We’ve been married five years, and we wanted a vow renewal. I got to be a bride again and I loved every second of it because my girls (all three!) were there! We found out three days before that this one on the way was a girl and it made it all that much more special. Five years married, three baby girls. We certainly are blessed beyond measure! We love the nitty gritty salty and sandy Cape Hatteras Motel in Buxton, what a retreat. It was the most incredible setting we could have hoped for, and so authentically us!

Romantic + Rustic North Carolina Wedding

An outdoor celebration filled with rustic touches is my idea of a good time. And this romantic fete from Meghan Rolfe Photography? Well it’s a gallery full of goodness through and through. For this couple enjoyed the outdoors and their idea of the perfect wedding day meant sharing it with loved ones and a beautiful view. See the entire evening unfold here!

From Meghan Rolfe Photography… Nicole & Jeremy met through a mutual friend in College. They stayed friends until Jeremy graduated and I was in grad school then we began dating about 5.5 years ago, they’ve been together ever since!

They were on our annual mountain bike trip with Nicole’s parents in Wilkesboro NC, they were on a trail taking a break looking over the lake and Jeremy got down on one knee & proposed! They both enjoy outdoor activities and the mountains. They love traveling and exploring new places which is what made this venue and location in Sylva great. They just wanted people to the enjoy the outdoors and the beautiful view while they are with them celebrating!

Theme is rustic chic, colors are mint, sage green, coral, light pink and gray. 8 bridesmaids 8 groomsmen. 1 flower girl and 1 ring bearer 115 guests. This wedding was like a whimsical dream, beautiful light & colors, we even had a little rain, but still got to have the ceremony outdoors. They had picked up all the chairs, so everyone just decided to stand for the ceremony.

Romantic North Carolina Botanical Gardens Wedding

We’re mesmerized by all the pretty in this romantic North Carolina Botanical Gardens wedding, awash in the soft hues of blush, gold and ivory! Inspired by the outdoor setting, Nouveau Events worked its magic with succulent favors, a birch wood chuppah and an eclectic mix of flowers, all beautifully captured by Anna Routh Photography. There’s much more to see in the full gallery right here!

From Nouveau EventsJennifer and Kevin have been together since they were juniors in high school (just over 10 years). They were long distance in high school and even throughout college (she was at The University of Texas at Austin and he was at Tulane). They moved to North Carolina in 2010 to attend graduate school and start building their life together. Kevin proposed in April 2014, on a picnic in a garden among the spring flowers.

When Jennifer was asked to describe her wedding style, three words summed it up: ethereal, romantic, and authentic. The inspiration for this wedding was based on their desire for a soft, romantic color palette with eclectic flower arrangements. For this reason, a color palette of blush, gold and ivory was selected. Jennifer and Kevin really wanted an outdoor ceremony that had a garden theme which seemed only fitting considering that the venue itself was a botanical garden. The North Carolina Botanical Gardens is an award winning Green space and keeping with the style of the venue, succulent wedding favors, a birch wood chuppah, and a ketubah with a tree design were incorporated. In addition, Beau Catering used seasonal and local grown food for the menu which is an encouraged green practice.

The details found in Jennifer and Kevin’s wedding were sentimental and unique to the couple. The ketubah was personalized for the couple by an artist named Jerise Fogel in New York City. Their dog, Abbie, also played a special role in their wedding day as her dog tag was Jennifer’s “something borrowed” and the ketubah also included her depiction.

Bald Head Island Beach Wedding in North Carolina

Ben and Blair met at a pool party, but not in the way you’d expect! It turns out Blair’s then two-year-old son had a hand in making the introduction, and their sweet story is what makes this production by Light Cannon Films magical to watch. We were moved to tears by their letters to each other, cheering them on at their fairy tale chapel wedding, and can’t wait to share their happily ever after with you all!

From Light Cannon FilmsAs far as a wedding day is concerned, this one had it all. Rain, for good luck. Then a rainbow. A lighthouse, the natural beauty of Carolina’s islands, historic oaks… a stunning bride, an adoring groom. But best of all was the Morels’ story.

Ben is an ER doctor, and Blaire’s an ER nurse. They met at a pool party, but they were introduced by Blaire’s sweet son Eason, then only two years old. Ben and Eason had already become friends, playing in the water, when Ben asked (in some version), “By the way, where’s your Mom?” Blaire gets stars in her eyes when she talks about the friendship between her son and her (now) husband, how they are best friends and so alike.

Ben and Blaire’s admiration and friendship is only rivaled by their romance. They are the picture of love and watching them interact overwhelms us with joy that they have truly found the one their souls desired.

Contemporary Multi-Cultural Wedding at The Carolina Inn

A sense of calm came over me as I admired these stunning photos from Perry Vaile; she captured the breathtaking beauty of combining both Pakistani and Tibetan cultures into one simple and intimate ceremony, leaving me speechless. I’m thinking every Monday morning should start on this sort of note; see every peacefully pretty moment right this way!

From Perry Vaile… This stunning couple chose to celebrate their wedding in a beautifully unique way – not only did they incorporate their own family traditions by wearing traditional clothing (the Groom in a tailor-made Sherwani, and the Bride in a Tibetan red gown), but they also choose to have a very simple and intimate ceremony with only a handful of those closest to them, followed by a large reception (where they switched to a tux and short white dress) in a beautiful ballroom. The couple used beautiful cherry blossoms throughout their day and gave guests Ilam tea as a favor and Krispy Kreme donuts for the dessert!
