Auckland Orchard Romance Shoot
Valentine's Day calls for sweets, love, and lots and lots of every shade of pink... all of which are bountiful in this beautiful inspiration shoot from Kate Grewal Photography. It's romantic, it's happy, it's chic, and best of all, it's all right here!
From the photographer... This shoot was inspired by the stunning orchards just 40 minutes west of Auckland's central business district. The flowering trees were the perfect venue for this little inspiration shoot. We wanted to keep this shoot elegant, but incorporate a sense of whimsy. We decided that a tea length wedding dress from the lovely Primrose and Finch designed by Joanne Flemming would be the ideal accompaniment to this location. The gown's amazing feathered detail adds a refined playfulness. Couple this with Natalie Chan millinery, and it transforms the look to an ever so slight couture. By selecting both boots for the orchard and Louboutins for the isle, we wanted our bride to be functionally fun, and fashionably forward.
A color pallet of soft pinks, white, pale yellows, and peach were chosen to establish a delicate mood amongst the flowering trees. Hints of deep burgundy and plum ground this pallet, giving depth to this pastel backdrop. With fresh fruit and beautiful light, we hope that this look will inspire brides this spring!
