Brooklyn Wedding at Prospect Park Wedding by Brklyn View Photography

The simple sophistication of this Brooklyn beauty makes my heart sing. I just can’t get enough. Honestly, I could sit here all day and stare at all the prettiness snapped up by Brklyn View Photography, and thanks to the gallery, I might do just that. It’s understated elegance at it’s finest with a big punch of personality and that might be (ok, it totally is) my favorite combination of all time! See it all here!

From Brklyn View Photography… Lots of laughter, tears of joy and salsa dancing were on display at Lina and Andy’s beautiful Prospect Park Boat House wedding in Brooklyn. The forecast was for rain, but the sun came out to shine anyway, so we took full advantage of the breathtaking light. During Andy’s vows, Lina laughed out loud while he recounted the many reasons why he loves her, and there was not a dry eye in the crowd. The bride’s dress was made in her native Colombia, and she was absolutely stunning. After Lina and Andy said their vows, they were wrapped in thyme and sage wreath to bring them a lifetime of love and happiness.

NYC City Hall Elopement by Karen Kristian Photography

I wish I was just a smidgen as chic as this couple. Actually, I would take half a smidgen because this elopement is just chic and then some. Not to mention 14 years in the making. Yes, 14 years and they still can’t take the “I’m so in love” look off their faces. Swoon. Karen Kristian Photography captured all the City Hall chicness, which is a good thing, because I plan on soaking up all the sweetness in the full gallery of images!

From Karen Kristian Photography This was one of the sweetest, most romantic weddings I’ve ever shot. Dean and Louise are from Australia and after being together for 14 years (!), they flew to New York City to elope in City Hall. They stayed at The Jane hotel in the West Village, and we took some photos along the Highline, at and near City Hall, and in the Village. I’ve never seen a couple more in love and more giddy about each other. On the way to City Hall, Louise told me a story of one of their experiences in New York. They were at a local bar in the East Village, and they began talking with an old man who was born just a few blocks from the bar and had lived there his whole life. They asked him for any advice, and he said, “The secret to life: to be loved.” Such true words and they believed it so! They stayed in New York for a week and then returned home to their families to celebrate there.

NYC Wedding at iCi Restaurant by Zac Wolf Photography

How do you define a wedding like this? It’s a smidge modern and a wee bit minimalist. It’s beauty that doesn’t need a lot of pomp and fluff but is just that: beautiful. And Zac Wolf Photography  captured the essence of New York and the core of what captures our heart about this wedding. It’s a dance in wedding attire in the middle of a New York street or smiles so big they practically light up the reception space. And then it’s MORE dancing because that is what people do when they’re happy and oh so in love and celebrating. And we’re completely on board with the whole kit and caboodle. See it from beginning to end right here.

From the Bride… We met on the steps of the Brooklyn Academy of Music, and we love cycling, hiking and taking long walks to nowhere in Brooklyn. Ben proposed in Central Park, on a horse drawn carriage — all classic except before he asked for my hand, he handed a camera to Ariel and said, “Take this camera; I’m about to propose to this woman.” Ariel had seen this hundreds of times, so he was prepared. He took his own photos and lit candles. It was beautiful. We wandered down Fifth Avenue, which was full of Christmas decorations and had dinner in LIC.

My favorite wedding memory was dancing salsa to Oscar De Leon surrounded by the people we love.

Classic East Norwich Wedding from Readyluck

If there is anything I love more than the Monique Lhuillier gown this gorg bride is totally rocking, it is the wedding she wore it to. It’s a classic Jewish soiree, with a whole lotta special in the mix. With Shane Carpenter of Readyluck behind the camera, we are treated to a wedding so beautiful and so fun, it’s got us all turning up the music and spending a little time taking a dance break. Click here for the gallery, but be warned, you’ll be dancing in no time!

David and I met while working as counselors at our childhood sleep-away camp 12 years ago! Meeting my husband at the place we call our “home away from home” has had a tremendous impact on our lives and our relationship. We were the artistic kids at our camp, while everyone else might be running around on the soccer field, we’d be found at arts and crafts painting all night long. But sadly, we only had two months out of the year in the same place, when camp was over, David would go home to Florida, and I would return to New York and soon Michigan for college.

We spent the next 5 years in a long-distance relationship but after a few years together in New York City when David was ready to propose, he naturally returned to where it all began- camp! Over one of our yearly weekend visits to camp with my brother and a few of our friends, David proposed at the spot we had our first kiss. After an emotional announcement of our engagement to the whole camp family, David whisked me off to the dive bar we’d spent many blurry nights for a toast and to my surprise he had arranged to have all our friends and family at the bar!! Until my wedding day, it was the most incredible, emotional day of my life!

We were married a year and half later at the Muttontown Country Club in East Norwich, NY on a gorgeous fall day. To help us stay sane and organized we hired the wonderful, Matthew Robbins Design. They were so hands-on and helpful in every imaginable way. It was very important to us that the evening feel warm and personal and Matthew Robbins really helped us achieve that. The ceremony room they created felt like stepping into a dream, with romantic candlelight and an unbelievable chuppah.

We also wanted to tell our story throughout the night and we did so in little touches- with mini art easels to hold the table cards, illustrations we’d done, and an incredibly moving performance by our very talented friends during the ceremony. David and I are so lucky to have an amazing circle of friends and family surrounding us and we wanted this night to reflect that. My bridesmaids looked beautiful in Joanna August dresses in different shades of blue and purple. To differentiate my two Maids of Honor, they wore sparkly belts from my own accessories line “BridesMade in Manhattan.”

Choosing our photographer, Shane Carpenter of Readyluck, was also one of the best decisions I made throughout our planning. Shane was such a pleasure to work with, it felt like having a friend by my side the whole night, and you could really tell he loves what he does, it shows in his work and in his whole demeanor. Our band, The Hudson Project, had our guests up on their feet the entire night- they even did a killer rendition of “Teen Spirit” by Nirvana that had all the guys moshing in their tuxes!! The party continued way into the night with an after-party, complete with a DJ under the chuppah! I will never forget how much love was felt in the room that night, from generations of fellow campers, family and friends – it was everything I could have dreamed for and more!

Another wonderful by-product of our wedding (besides you know, the marriage!) was the creation of a new business with my mother! After a very frustrating search for her own Mother of the Bride dress, we realized what a need there was for a place for women of ALL sizes to shop for those special occasion dresses in comfort and privacy. We opened Mielle Boutique, an upscale, appointment-only store for evening wear in New York City last year. It’s been an exciting venture and we’re so happy to bring this service to all the future Mothers of the Bride and Grooms out there!

NYC Wedding at Tribeca Rooftop by Entwined Studio

It doesn’t get more more modern chic or quintessential New York City than Tribeca Rooftop. Sprinkle some black and white details and a pinch of matching monochrome florals courtesy of Ariston Flowers on top, and you get this city slick  Entwined Studio wedding. Most people tell you your whole life that it’s what’s on the inside that counts, but the view from this penthouse is seriously the end all be all of NYC wedding venue views and This is a Love made sure we didn’t miss it (phew), and it’s all here in the full gallery!

From the Bride… Cory and I met nine years ago, right before our first day of classes freshman year at University of Massachusetts-Amherst.  We quickly discovered we grew up not too far from one another and became fast friends. It took about a year and a half for us to start to realize that our friendship was a bit more than that, and since the spring of 2004, we’ve been together. It was only fitting that during our first trip back to campus together as post-graduates, Cory surprised me and proposed. It was the sweetest, most sentimental way to really make our entire relationship come full circle.

We planned our wedding for a little over a year from the time we were engaged. We always knew we wanted a city wedding, so we immediately started looking at venues in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Long Island City. We must have seen 20 venues before we finally made the decision to book TriBeCa rooftop. We were both familiar with the venue because my brother got married there five years ago, but more than that, it really fulfilled Cory’s desire for a modern-looking space, and mine for something that was intrinsically “NYC” but could be made intimate instead not over the top. Since we really wanted the wedding to not only be in NYC, but also feel it, we decided to focus on classic black and white for our main colors. We really wanted the day to feel classic but chic, and I wanted to add my own flair to different elements so it felt personal and customized. We stuck with all-white flowers to help play up the classic theme, but then we had fun mixing up our arrangements for the tables. For the bouquets, I played up the black/white contrast as much as I could. My bouquet was assorted white flowers with several anemones placed throughout. The dark center of the anemones really popped in relation to everything else and drew in the black bridesmaids’ dresses and other black colors in all the photos which I really loved. My dress was definitely classic but modern. In order to have fun and play up the black/white, a friend of mine designed the jeweled crystal belt I wore, which she sewed onto sheer black tulle. I LOVE that belt. It was my favorite accessory and really changed the overall look of the dress. My veil was a bit funky and less traditional, which I also loved.

Aside from all the planning and design, the day itself went perfectly. It was amazing to see it all come together! And I loved the little things about our day that just made it so special and made it about us, such as how we wrote our own vows and shared them with each other during the ceremony; how in lieu of giving favors we donated to Bideawee, the animal shelter here in NYC where we adopted our dog; and how since I’m Israeli, we had an entire Israeli dance set, and the whole place was on the dance floor! There were so many little details that went into the day that now, reflecting back, I’m so happy we paid that close attention to the details (and the big things too) because it’s truly amazing to stand there and watch your vision come to life right in front of you. And to see it happen among your closest friends and family is even more special!

Brooklyn Wedding at The Green Building by Clean Plate Pictures

One thing is for certain and that’s that this adorable couple sure knows how to throw one amazing party filled with plenty of personal touches. Music played an important role in their big day since the groom is a DJ and the bride comes from a musical family. So they surprised all their guests with a gospel choir that sang Oh happy Day after their I Do’s…and if that’s not the coolest thing ever, I don’t know what is. Clean Plate Pictures captured all the fun and there’s a whole lot more right here in the full gallery!

From the Bride… Music is one of the foundations of our relationship — we actually met while recording a hip-hop track in Thailand (yes, true story!). Stefan is a producer and DJ, and I come from a very musical family. So when we started planning our wedding, we knew music would be an important component in making it feel like “us,” which was our biggest focus when planning the big day. We surprised our guests with a gospel choir singing “Oh Happy Day,” my parents sang us the song they performed at my baptism, and the entire family and bridal party shocked us with a flash-mob style rendition of Common’s “The Light,” which they rewrote to tell the story of our relationship. We also added a personal element by paying homage to our backgrounds — Irish whisky shots and a bagpiper for my side and a cord, veil and coin ceremony for Stefan’s Filipino heritage. We had a very hands-on approach to our wedding — my mom made the flower girl dresses and much of the décor, we baked all of our own desserts and the cake that we shot for our place cards (which was also our save-the-date!), and I made my fascinator and the favors (batches of my late grandmother’s cracker candy). We’re a family of entertainers and we wanted to welcome our family and friends to the city we love with these personal touches.

Favorite moments? Wow. Having my mom zip up my dress and just looking at her and squealing with excitement, sharing a kiss at the end of our ceremony and knowing about the secret choir waiting in the wings — then seeing everyone clapping, smiling and practically dancing their way out of the church. The no-holds-barred, crazy dance party that went on into the wee hours thanks to our killer DJ, Sureshot. And seeing the most important people in our life come together to write and perform “The Light.” We have never felt more surrounded by love in our entire lives life … and the party just went wild from there … it was electric.

Patriotic NYC Engagement by Michelle Lange Photography

We love the Fourth of July around these parts, any chance to celebrate and throw confetti is a good day in our books – and we hope you are out enjoying the day doing just that. But we couldn’t just up and take the day off without filling your screens with pretty – so we just had to have something festive waiting for you when you got back. This engagement session by Michelle Lange Photography will do just the trick. It’s as pretty as it is patriotic, and you can see every last bit of it in the full gallery of images!

From Michelle Lange PhotographySara Jane and Will are your all-American high school sweethearts who are getting married next summer. They wanted to have a 4th of July engagement session, as this has always been one of the holidays they have been able to spend together, even when going to college in separate states. Being a very crafty and resourceful bride, Sara Jane baked the cupcakes herself, went to a local fabric shop for the picnic linens, picked up flowers from the corner NYC bodega and borrowed flower pots from her parents’ home. Sara Jane and Will decided to have a waterfront picnic on a pier they regularly visit near their West Village apartment.

NYC Engagement Session by Caroline Frost Photography

New York City – the magical spot where engagement photo dreams are made. And the master behind this particular dream making sess is Caroline Frost; a woman who knows her way around a camera. From sweet moments in Central Park to a cozy drink at their local watering hole, this couple is bringing us along for the ride and what a pretty one it is. See so much more right here.

From Caroline Frost PhotographyCathryn and Clint’s love story began in the fourth grade.  Sure we all had “boyfriends” and “girlfriends” for a year or two in elementary school, but how many people reunite with theirs over Facebook only to find that they had it right all those years ago!?  That is the case for Cathryn and Clint, who got married in mid June of this year! Though both of these lovebirds hail from Texas, they wanted an engagement session in their current city of residence, New York City, to capture what they love about the Big Apple. From iconic landmarks such as the busy Times Square and Central Park’s Bethesda Terrace to the restaurant “Public,” tiny alleyways and a rustic little bar in Nolita, Cathryn put together an e-session that would capture everything that NYC had offered to them and their love story over the last few years. We photographed their three-hour engagement session one Thursday morning, so at times it almost feels like they are they only ones in the city reflecting that in a city full of people — each one only has eyes for the other.

Jersey City Wedding from Raw Photo Design

Let me just start by saying, I love this wedding. Every single inch of it is fabulous. But there is one shot from Raw Photo Design that stopped me in my tracks and I knew right away I was seeing something special. You’ll have to scroll almost to the bottom of the post to see the bride and groom dancing in each others’ arms among their loved ones. This image evokes such an elated happiness, like we are lucky enough to be let into a very, very special and private moment – which of course, is exactly what is going on. A very, very special gallery awaits you!

I have always had a love for New York and the in the beginning stages of our planning process I was adamant on having a city wedding. After researching venues I came across the Liberty House, set on the Hudson River overlooking the Manhattan skyline. This got me thinking wouldn’t the city skyline be more impactful as a backdrop to our wedding then being in the midst of it? One thing we knew for sure, we wanted a loft style space that was open but intimate. The Liberty House was perfect. From the minute we stepped into the space, we had could already envision our family and friends filling the dance floor and basking in the breathtaking view.

The moment we were engaged I had begun designing my wedding. Working in the fashion industry in New York, I always have a vision for everything I merchandise and design. My wedding was no different. This was the most important job I would take on and my passion for detail was going to be tested. Our theme was “vintage elegance.” We wanted a tasteful evening that was filled with romance, laughter and unforgettable memories. Having carefully mapped out with my extremely creative mother every detail and aspect of the wedding, my fiancé was on board with everything and anything I wanted. I have a passion for anything vintage. I could spend hours at vintage boutiques, flea markets and estate sales. I wanted to incorporate and eclectic mix of new and old in our décor.

I had chosen my dress before even trying it on. After purveying the internet I came across a dress that I knew was perfect. Upon trying it on, I was right. It was modern with a vintage touch, a satin mermaid silhouette with a bodice encrusted in vintage beading and jewels. I had a vision for my overall look and I was lucky enough to have my best friend/matron of honor as my extremely talented make-up artist and my gifted hairdresser Liz Curry style my hair. I wanted to look like myself but a more glamorous version. I knew I wanted my hair mostly down and I wanted to feel comfortable and not confined to a stiff up do.

Our ceremony was intimate and moving. We wanted a neo-traditional ceremony and hoped our guest would walk away feeling the love we shared with each other. I walked down the aisle to Ben Harper’s “Forever” with my father, this song couldn’t have been more fitting. We had the honor of Pastor Vincent Rife officiate. The Pastor has been a family friend and working very closely with us on what we wanted our vow exchange to encompass. He has us write letters to each other on why we wanted to marry, he then took the letters without us knowing what each had wrote and incorporated them into our ceremony. This made for an unforgettable and very personal exchange. The ceremony concluded with a procession to “hallelujah” by Jeff Buckley and our guests made their way into the cocktail hour with the exquisite Jason Leibman.

Upon walking into our reception we wanted the Manhattan skyline to be the focus of our guests evening. Having Jason and I spent so many amazing nights in the city, looking out into its landscape couldn’t have been more perfect. This is the city where we fell in love and being able to incorporate such an important aspect of our relationship into our wedding in such an impactful way was amazing. The loft was strictly candlelit with the city lights the only “artificial” lighting of the evening. The guests’ tables were an intricate mix of ivory flowers arranged into 3 different size vases filled with crystals to enhance the variety of textured florals. Twisted branches were entangled on the table brining an element of outside in. Our table was filled with dripping candle sticks and a enhanced version of our guests arrangements. A cigar bar entertained our male guests as the marveled at the backdrop as they smoked their imported cigars. Raw Photo design provided an overly entertaining photo booth that had our guests posing for the camera all night long. Our night was perfect and having our amazing pictures from Raw Photo and our incredibly moving video from Moho Creative we are able to relive it over and over again.

NYC Wedding at B’nai Jeshurun by Sara Wight Photography

Just two short years after their very first date, this adorable couple got married at the bride’s gorgeous synagogue. And can I just say that each and every detail is simply stunning. Her dress is all sorts of poufy awesomeness and I’ve even secretly pictured myself doing little twirls in it…Sara Wight Photography captured their day perfectly and there’s even more pretty right here in the full gallery.

From the Couple … We were set up by a close mutual friend — one of Steve’s college roommates and Elisheva’s friends from high school — right after Elisheva moved back home to New York City. Our first date was on February 20, so we decided that it was only appropriate for us to get married on the weekend of our two year anniversary. It was important to us that our wedding be intimate, reflect our shared values and be authentically us. We were determined to hire vendors that would provide excellent service and who we could trust to use their incredible judgment to execute our vision. It is this last aspect that made working with all our vendors such a pleasure. We decided to get married at Elisheva’s synagogue on the Upper West Side, which we later learned was also Steve’s great-grandfather’s temple back in the day. We asked our mutual friend, a rabbinical student, who was also one of Steve’s college roommates and a friend of Elisheva’s from childhood, to perform the wedding alongside Elisheva’s summer camp counselor, a cantorial soloist and a close friend. We found Sara Wight, our incredible photographer, through none other than Style Me Pretty and instantly clicked with her. Judy Marlow from Simply Divine was the genius behind the weekend’s incredible meals and the most amazing wedding cake that we have ever had. Attitude, the band, was incredible, and the flowers and decor by Surroundings were stunning. Basically, our wedding exceeded our wildest dreams and belied the relatively little planning that we did. We attribute the picture perfection to our incredible vendors!

NYC Wedding at the Harold Pratt House by Judy Pak Photography

Some weddings feel like the warmth of a fireplace on a cold winter’s night. This Harold Pratt House is just that, but a really fancy fireplace with ornate vintage molding: the kind you find in pre-war New York City architecture. Judy Pak Photography shot this stunner planned by Classic Events NYC with the most jaw dropping florals designed by Laura Remmert a bride could ever wish for and the result is pure Winter inspired deliciousness. Get ready to curl up by warm glow of the full gallery!

From the Bride… I sometimes think to myself that it must have been amazing timing and unbelievable luck that I met Benjamin. How else could I explain the meeting of two totally different cultures from two totally different hometowns? Despite these differences, after a few months of emails and phone conversations, we finally met for a casual drink, but knew after that first date, that there was something special worth pursuing. A year later we were engaged and started planning a wedding that would capture the true essence of New York.

We chose to let the authentic décor of our historic venue, the Harold Pratt House, shape our vision. We wanted to complement the mansion’s authentic 20th century decor but also pay tribute to our respective backgrounds. Because I am a native New Yorker and Chinese-American, and my husband is a native of Utah and of Greek decent, our heritages had a big impact on our special day. We wanted to pay tribute to our roots and to our families, while still keeping in touch with our New York lifestyle. We used New York City as an inspiration.

We even braced the chilly February air to have our photos taken on iconic Park Avenue, and it was fun! Tucked warmly inside the venue, we began our day of uniting two cultures and two families. It started with a traditional Chinese tea ceremony. I wore a traditional Chinese red, silk “qipao” with gold embroidery and a New Yorker’s favorite beige, patent leather Valentino heels. I then changed into a classic white Vera Wang wedding gown and was led down the aisle to an intimate ceremony where we exchanged our vows in front of our closest family and friends to the sounds of a classical trio. The cocktail hour immediately followed, and shortly after, our main reception. The room had an amazing intimacy about it, from the fireplace and the warm décor on the walls to the welcoming and loving atmosphere our guests created. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to celebrate our marriage than with the people who mean the most to us. It was truly the perfect New York wedding day!

NYC Wedding at Gotham Hall by Fleurs NYC

Daughter of Design brings the drama and glows for it at this Gotham Hall evening wedding.  Bentley Meeker set some seriously stunning lighting, and Dazian softened the atmosphere with delicate etherial draping. Outrageous orchids and more created by Fleurs NYC keep the romance and coming, and they didn’t stop there: candles galore and mercury glass add to the opulence and shine. Speaking of shine, this bride wears one sparkley corset topped gown with a sea of cascading ruffle skirt (the drapery’s close cousin, no doubt), that you simply must see from all angles via Susan Stripling Photography‘s lense in the full gallery!

From Fleurs NYCCari and Danny wanted a simple and elegant affair with a soft, romantic feeling. The venue they chose, Gotham Hall, with it’s soaring ceilings, is incredible. Cari wanted to have the drapes gently cascade down from the top of the ceiling, lit in a soft gold, and have purple lights warm up the walls below. We used an abundance of white flowers and so many candles, gold mercury glass votives, long stem votives, clear votives — it really gave Gotham Hall a truly warm glow and felt oh so romantic!

From the Bride… Our wedding day was the most amazing love filled blessed day of my life! I am still on a high from the entire weekend, and I am having trouble coming down. Stephen and I met five years ago while working at a restaurant in Times Square. Little did we know then that we would end up madly in love, celebrating our journey together in front of family and friends. It was very important for us not to have a boring ceremony, so we chose to have it in the round in order for our family and friends to feel like they were not only observers but participants in our union. I spent the year or so before hand scoping out every love song and every sappy moment on television for the perfect songs to play while our guests waited for us to make it official. Stephen and I planned the entire ceremony, down to the group prayer and the recessional song of “Kiss” by Prince. His father gave a beautiful prayer and homily, and our home church pastor, Jose Humphreys, officiated the ceremony.

Having worked in the restaurant industry and being foodies ourselves, it was important to us to have fabulous food. We picked our venue not only because it was beautifully surrounded by trees and a remote getaway close to the city, but also because it serves farm-to-table food with fresh ingredients and vegetables from their own garden. I was introduced to the chef that day, who made adjustments to the menu on the spot according to my preference. Also, I must mention Adrienne Madama, the event coordinator at the Highlands Country Club, who was a complete angel to us. She helped us from beginning to end and answered all of my crazy, late night emails. I left the choosing of the photographer to Stephen. We brides often times do so much of the leg work, and I wanted to make sure Stephen felt included through the process as much as possible. In the fall while I was away doing a show, I picked out several photographers that I liked and had Stephen meet them individually. He knew immediately Caroline Frost was the one and told me that she had the most genuine interest in us as a couple. We knew this would make for the best pictures, and isn’t it obvious? I knew I wanted a light-filled day, and the images taken exemplify this. We were so blessed to have her there to capture our day in the exact way we wanted and also be a calm presence throughout the process. She kept me on my toes and reminded me of things I hadn’t even thought of. Of all things, I stressed out about the flowers most. I feel like the floral arrangements speak to the entire theme of the day and are a guide to the style of the event. I had endless email conversations and sent tons of styling ideas to the florist, but where we lived and both of our busy schedules made it impossible for us to meet until the day of. Needless to say as a giant control freak this kept me up most of the night before the wedding (that and maybe a little bit of wedding jitters), but I truly lucked out. When our florist came with the bouquets I had to walk away so I wouldn’t ruin my makeup and burst into tears.  They were everything that I had imagined and described —  from that moment on I knew I had could simply relax and enjoy the day.

Lastly, the reception was a giant party! I am a professional dancer, and I made it my top priority that everyone danced the night away. We had a perfect DJ and MC who played music that made it impossible for people to stay in their seats. Our guests were dancing before their salads came out and that’s just the way we wanted it. My husband is from Oklahoma, and his guests were even able to do the Cotton Eye Joe as well. No one was left out and everyone had a blast. I couldn’t be more grateful for the weather, our family, friends and my parents for giving us such a send off into our new lives together. I wish we could have a wedding day like that over and over again. We were so lucky, and I am beyond blessed to have a loving, smart, humble and beautiful husband like Stephen.

Hudson Valley Equestrian Wedding Inspiration by Stacie Shea Events

Inspiration comes in all shapes and sizes and sometimes it’s of the four legged variety. This is a mash up of the springiest of florals by Cecily F. Grand, Inc., beautiful outdoor styling by Stacie Shea Events and a lineup of almost too pretty to eat cakes by Lovely Cakes, all with a decidedly equestrian flair. Think high tea with the horses and you’re on the right track. So pull up those boot straps ladies and gents because we have a whole gallery captured by Photography & More by Stefanie Kapra worthy of some major ogling.

Now hows about a peek at this shoot in moving, breathing sing-songy action captured by Fairytale Studios?  It’s inspiration come to life and we whole heartedly approve.

From Stacie Shea EventsGetting inspiration for this equestrian-styled wedding was quite simple. Lauren, my assistant at Stacie Shea Events lives in North Salem, New York, a quaint, intimate, little town known as “horse country” to the neighboring cities. You can’t go a day without seeing a rider and their horse walking up and down your road, whether it’s in the morning or night. Lauren came to me with a vision — she had always loved the elegance of horses. She felt a deep relationship with these animals, as she grew up riding and living on a horse farm and to this day, many of her family members still ride at a farm not far from their family home. Lauren came up with this idea because she thought it would capture a more casual yet heartwarming side of a wedding, bring out a wedding’s true meaning and show a love for animals at the same time.

After some serious brainstorming sessions, we could not think of a better theme to bring to the Hudson Valley area of New York when the shoot took place on May 2, right before the Kentucky Derby. All the vendors and I knew this would be a great way to celebrate all the upcoming horse races across the states this spring and summer. What better way to motivate brides to head to the track this summer for some wedding inspiration!

Greenwich Village Wedding at Twenty Four Fifth by Tara Leigh Photography

Get ready to fall in love with a Bride, her handsome Groom and their exquisite NYC affair as seen through the talented lens of Tara Leigh Photography – because I’m pretty sure it’s close to impossible not to let this fête sweep you off your feet. From the pretty Valentino pumps to the timeless style seen around every corner – it’s city chic defined, and you can see every gorgeous bit of it in the full gallery of images!

From the Bride… Tristan and I knew from day one that we would get married in NYC. With him being from Seattle and me from Maryland, it was fate that brought us together one night on the subway. Yes, we met on the NYC subway, and he was the cutest thing I’d ever seen! With our wedding being in March, we knew it would have to be indoors. I was terrified of ballrooms with crystal and hot pink lighting, so it was important to us that our affair be extremely classy with elegant touches and of course a wild party to top it all off. We absolutely fell in love with Twenty Four Fifth, which is the old Fifth Avenue Hotel from the 1920’s located a block from the arch in Washington Square Park. The second we walked into this space and saw the antiqued mirrors and sunken dance floor, we were sold. It was absolutely perfect, and I immediately pictured beautiful candle centerpieces with simple flower arrangements. As for my bouquet, I had my heart set on white fringed tulips which my wonderful floral designer was able to track down, even though they were out of season. I absolutely loved it. Many of our unique touches were handmade by talented folks on Etsy — the feather pens, ad-lib guest book cards, grooms card, bridesmaids’ earrings, etc.

The ceremony was held at the Church of St. Joseph near Washington Square Park, which led to beautiful pictures in the park. Our guests then walked the two blocks to the reception. Our friends and family LOVE to dance, and my groom even sang his own version of “Melt with You” by Modern English to me as as sweet surprise. Our guests ended the night with hot dogs, NYC cart-style, and a copy of the New York Times from that day. It’s a very surreal thing to have everyone you love in one room, and that is something that will stay with us forever. Every detail of this day turned out perfectly (except when the groom’s limo accidentally went to Brooklyn on the way to the ceremony — oops!), and I think the pictures by Tara Leigh Photography could not be more exquisite. Her pictures help us re-live this wonderful day whenever we want.

Southampton Wedding by Levi Stolove Photography

If I had one word to describe this wedding, it would be H-A-P-P-Y! A neutral black and white palette splashed with pops of green created the perfect modern affair for this California couple who wanted to bring a touch of the west coast back east. It’s hard not to smile while gazing at these perfect photos by Levi Stolove Photography, especially when the bride and groom are so absolutely in-love. Keep your spirits high and peek at the rest of the gallery right over here!

From the Bride… Our biggest challenge was bringing our lives in California to the east coast, all while keeping within a traditional, Saturday night, formal affair. We used little details like fonts and a minimalist color palette to keep it fresh and highlight our personalities. One thing we were really excited about was making table cards named after special moments in our relationship. We had a J date table because that is where we met! We enjoyed sharing our story with all of our guests and inviting people into our life together. We also crafted many of our details together — making things together is something we both enjoy.
