Boston Wedding from Deborah Zoe Photo

We’ve got Deborah Zoe Photo to thank for sending this pretty Boston soirée our way. This city holds a special place in the hearts of this sweet couple as it’s where they met and eventually fell in love. After their church ceremony they partied the night away with drop dead gorgeous views of Boston harbor. It’s super city chic and it’s all right here in the full gallery!

From Deborah Zoe PhotoRob and Rachel met and fell in love in the city of Boston, so it came as no surprise that they chose Boston as the location for their wedding. They married in a church very dear to their family and celebrated the night away overlooking Boston Harbor. Every inch of their wedding day reflected the relationship of the couple, from the location (where they met, fell in love and now live!) to the reception (which echoed their love of travel).

Falmouth Wedding at Bourne Farm from The Casual Gourmet

Married on the bride’s parent’s 40th wedding anniversary, in the same town her grandparents met over 75 years ago, this Bourne Farm beauty is a gorgeous example of a wedding with deep family roots. The perfect Cape soiree was casual + relaxed yet still fully infused with amazing style and personal details! Do yourself a favor and carve out a few hours to peruse the gallery filled to the brim with stunning images by Ajit Singh Photography.

From the Bride… As my father said in his speech, it was a special time and a special place. My husband, Ben, and I got married on my parent’s 40th wedding anniversary in the same town where my grandparents met over 75 years ago. Four generations of my mother’s family (including me) grew up spending summers in this rustic, simple, undeveloped area of the Cape. Bourne Farm is a magical place, with tall yellow grass blowing in the breeze, birds darting in and out of the trees along the property, and overlooking beautiful Crocker Pond. The barn was built in 1775, and some antique farm tools are still on display inside.

The entire feeling of our wedding day was casual, relaxed, personal and loving, with a ceremony officiated by a dear friend and family-style dinner at long wooden farm tables. Our custom-designed logo adorned our homemade ceremony programs and stemless wine glass favors (at each place setting with a “Fortune Fish” inside — an idea from one of our favorite NYC restaurants). Signs on driftwood we collected at the beach were painted and lovingly constructed by Ben’s dad.

Following the ceremony, Ben and I rowed away in a boat he had built with his father when he was a child; a nutshell pram named after Ben’s younger sister, Emily. After enjoying a few minutes of solitude (and a couple of glasses of champagne our wedding party had cleverly stashed in the boat), we joined our guests at cocktail hour outside the barn. Inside the barn, we had arranged guests’ place cards on antique wooden shutters and displayed photos of my parents’ wedding day and first few anniversaries. It was a perfect day that turned into a magical evening. As we walked around the property to take some pictures with our photographer, storm clouds approached and it began to sprinkle. The driver of the school bus we had hired to transport guests ran over to us with a bright red umbrella, and after a couple minutes, the light rain stopped and the clouds suddenly changed direction, drifting away to create a magnificent sunset.

Massachusetts Yacht Club Wedding from Hannah Persson Photo

When it comes to nautical affairs, Massachusetts has that old world seaside feel on lock-down. But this particular wedding is a bit different. It’s nautical in the prettiest of ways and layered with a few modern details that give it a fresh new feel. Succulents and terrariums mixed with the most beautiful oceanfront yacht club and images by Hannah Persson that are sure to inspire many a beach wedding; east and west coast alike. See it all right here.

From the Bride… There was no question Justin and I immediately knew we wanted to have our wedding at Eastern Point Yacht Club in Gloucester, MA, “America’s Oldest Seaport”.  When our guests arrived they were treated to a beautiful old New England residence and grounds overlooking its lighthouse, sail boat moorings and jetty.  On such a beautiful day, Boston’s skyline was visible on the horizon.  My mother, June, tirelessly grew succulents, tamed topiaries and designed a tablescape tying in our nautical theme.  My father, Irving, made homemade tin light boxes of our R&J initials that hung in the tent.  We were so happy and fortunate to have such love go into and attend our wedding.

Backyard Cambridge Wedding from Sweet Monday Photography

Look up personalized weddings and this right here will be the top result. No doubt about it. A backyard ceremony at the Groom’s magnificent family home, special handwritten notes by the Bride and Groom to every guest on each escort card, and Konditor Meister wedding cakes as numbers for each table that received their own private cake cutting…you’re reading right, lovelies. No detail went overlooked in this wedding from Sweet Monday Photography and not only is it unabashedly personal, it’s astonishingly beautiful to boot. Did I mention the Vera Wang AND Reem Acra wedding gowns? See it all here.

From Sweet Monday PhotographyNikki and Tamin met at Harvard Business School and currently live in San Francisco. They were super-excited to introduce all their Midwest and California friends and family to the Boston area. Tamin grew up in Cambridge with his three brothers, and their family home was the perfect venue for this classy, elegant wedding. We started with a first look at the Boston Public Library and then went to the Harvard Business School for some portraits before heading to Tamin’s home. We loved all the fountains and statues around the property, and Nikki found so many treasures in the basement that she dragged out to the backyard to add to the decor, including furniture, suitcases, typewriters, candelabras and books. All of the girls wore different white or cream dresses from Rent the Runway, and Nikki herself had two fabulous gowns: a ruffled Vera Wang and a pink Reem Acra for dancing the night away. Nikki’s sister (the maid of honor) and one of Tamin’s brothers (the best man) shared officiating duties, which made for a very special ceremony. The party was held in a gorgeous tent with the chandeliers revealing the shadows of the trees above. The food was delicious farm to fork catering, and we especially loved that the table numbers doubled as the cake. Nikki and Tamin went around and cut the first slice of cake for each of the tables, which was a great way to celebrate with each of their guests. The entire day was brilliantly coordinated by the lovely Adrienne and Elizabeth of Gracie Lou Events.

Berkshires Wedding from Meredith Perdue

This gorgeous Berkshires wedding is all about the florals. Arrangements which the ever-so-talented bride and her mom created with flowers meaningful to the couple and even representative of the groom’s native Australia! And with Meredith Perdue behind the lens, every.single.image from this Buckstreep Manor beauty is totally frame-worthy. The details continue in the full gallery!

From the Bride… Lachlan and I celebrated our seven-month wedding anniversary on August 20, 2012. Yes, that’s five days prior to our wedding at Bucksteep Manor in Washington, Massachusetts. Confused yet? Lachlan is an Australian citizen, and we met while I was in Australia on a year-long “working holiday” visa. My visa expired in late September 2011, and in the following month, he made his way to the U.S. (after five LONG weeks of us being apart.) In December 2012, he proposed. Because we couldn’t bear the thought of being apart again, on January 20th, 2012 we had a small ceremony on the (cold and snow-covered!) patio at my parents’ house, while his family watched via Skype. Our August wedding gave us the chance to celebrate with his family, my extended family and our closest of friends — and to have a slightly more traditional wedding.

We wanted to include bits and pieces of Australia in our wedding. The ANZAC biscuit (a popular Australian treat similar to a cookie, not like an American biscuit!) bombonieres, wax flowers (native to Australia) in the bouquets, boutonnieres and centerpieces, as well as a selection of Australian wines and beer, all gave a nod to Lachlan’s home country without becoming overly cheesy or theme party-esque. My mom and I created the centerpieces, bouquets and boutonnieres ourselves, even growing some of the flowers (zinnias) in my mom’s backyard garden. We attempted to grow another favorite, cosmos, but most had yet to bloom as of the date of our wedding. We were able to include a few in my mom’s bouquet though! The other flowers included the Australian native wax flower, New England asters and one of my personal favorites, the whimsical and romantic ranunculus. We wanted to incorporate a bird theme into our wedding too. Our escort card board was created out of old-fashioned looking wallpaper, in which birds appeared to hold the cards in their mouths. (It was an idea from Martha Stewart!) Our sign-in book was also adapted from a Martha Stewart creation – I ordered a very old book of bird photos/descriptions from a small bookstore in Connecticut, and we asked that guests leave a note anywhere they’d like. Lachlan built a wooden birdhouse, complete with a carved P + L heart, which served as our gift card box. Our cake topper also carried on the bird theme.

We decided on a BBQ buffet as the dinner offering, and it was amazing! Our cake, created by Susan Forest of Royal Icings, was PERFECT. I cannot say enough about how wonderful and kind Susan is, and the cakes she makes are not only beautiful to look at, but also delicious. Bucksteep Manor was the perfect choice for our wedding. The staff there was incredibly helpful and sweet, and Lachlan and I were able to stay there with our siblings and their significant others from the Wednesday before our wedding up until the Sunday after. The laid-back country atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for. My uncle Mark was our ceremony officiant and did an incredible job. We chose him hoping he’d offer a bit of humor but also some very sweet and sentimental moments, and he did just that.

Essex Conference Center Wedding from Tyra Bleek Photography

So, as we cap off 2012, let’s say goodbye in true SMP fashion, shall we? This wedding from Alden Blair Events has it all: lovely maids in pastel Bella Bridesmaid and Flair Bridesmaid wonderfulness, perfect pops of brilliant color, and rustic wooden elements for days. Oh, and flower crowns and amazing bouquets from Ideas In Bloom to top it all off? Call it love or call it obsession, but we’re head over heels for this wedding and you can see it all from Tyra Bleek Photography in the gallery right here.

From Tyra Bleek Photography… This bride was all about doing everything herself; almost everything you see was done by her. She even made the huge paper mache flowers for her backdrop, which she had to rent a U-Haul to get to her venue. The couple started collecting whiskey bottles when they got engaged to use as flower holders. I absolutely love all the wood details and adore this venue.

Backyard Berkshires Wedding from Kate Drew Miller Photography

I’m a huge fan of back yard weddings and how they really allow a couple’s personality to totally shine through. And this backyard wedding, captured brilliantly by Kate Drew Miller Photography, is certainly no exception. This adorable couple truly embraced the location of their big day and sourced pretty much everything from local mom and pops and we love that. Oh, and we love their furry, little aisle attendant too. See it all right here.

From the Bride… A month or so after Matt proposed, I asked him, “What kind of wedding do you want?” He replied, “One where we get married and you’re my wife.” Well, as simple as that sounds, it still left the door wide open for ideas. Having lived together in Colorado for almost seven years, we thought about having a small wedding in the Rocky Mountains with us skiing down the slopes in a wedding dress and tux. But one day while visiting my parents, I gazed out across their backyard and got that feeling that it was the right place. Once we’d figured out where we wanted to be married, we began to focus on how we could make our wedding unique to us. Having met nine years ago in Australia and then having lived in Colorado and Vermont, we knew we wanted our wedding to be a lot of fun (Australia) with a rustic (Colorado), New England (Vermont) elegance.

On the morning of the wedding, we hiked into my parents’ woods and pulled out fallen birch tree limbs that were turned into a huge rustic chandelier running the length of the tent. Our caterer, Dan Mathieu of MAX Foods, put together a menu based on all local foods, which included an incredible native tomato table with caprese skewers, homemade gazpacho, crostini with yellow tomato relish, and individual chunky heirloom tomato salads in votives. Our flowers came from a local family farm, Taft Farms in Great Barrington, which my younger brother worked at for a few summers between college. The bouquets, boutonnieres, and flower girl wreaths were all seasonal, local flowers as well and were created by Annie Whalen with Bella Flora at our locally-owned Guido’s Fresh Marketplace. Matt, my dad and I made the archway we were married under out of driftwood I had collected in Burlington, Vermont — much of which was a result of Hurricane Irene. Our gift to our guests was a “country store” table filled with local breads, jams, apples, chutney and candies from Richmond’s local, family-owned Bartlett’s Apple Orchard.

We could not have asked for a more bucolic fall day. With vibrant colors of summer melding into fall, we had a perfect wedding day surrounded by the people we love. Thankfully, the sun held on long enough for us to have an outdoor ceremony overlooking the rolling hills. After a fantastic dinner, we had everyone up and dancing under the tent as the rain poured down … and when the rain subsided, we lit a bonfire and continued to dance the night away. It really was more than I could have asked for in so many ways. And yes, at the end of the day we had a wedding that ended with us being married and me as Matt’s wife. :)

Boston City Hall Elopement from Joyelle West Photography

Let’s talk about this couple’s style for a moment, shall we? Because it’s phenomenal, and goes to show that just because you elope that doesn’t mean that it can’t be as chic as nuptials come. Because this is a city hall wedding done oh so right. That Annemieke bolero? It’s obviously to die for. I’m literally trying to come up with a good excuse to put one in my very own closet. But, to me, the smile on their faces is their best accessory, and that’s really saying something with this duo. See so much more from Joyelle West Photography right here.

From Joyelle West PhotographyThis fashion-forward Boston couple wanted to keep their wedding super simple, so they decided on a City Hall elopement. They loved the modern simplicity of the outside of City Hall, so we used the architecture and clean lines of the building and the plaza as a backdrop. The bride looked stunning in a Nicole Miller wedding dress and an Annemieke bolero, proof that you can keep things simple and still look chic at the same time.

Groton Wedding at The Barn at Gibbet Hill from Lindsay Madden Photography

This “accidental” December wedding from Lindsay Madden Photography has captured my heart in a serious sort of way. With a ceremony at Groton Public Library (their first ever!) and a country chic ceremony at The Barn at Gibbett Hill (one of my absolute faves!) this winter fête was filled to the brim with DIY touches and completely steal-worthy details. It’s a total swoon-fest in the full gallery, so be sure to take a peek!

From the Bride… Mike and I decided on a December wedding accidentally. A group of very close friends all got engaged soon after us, and as they set their dates, starting in August and leading up to November, we thought: winter wedding! We are so thrilled that we chose December, and once we did, my DIY mind went crazy! We had two main things we agreed we would focus on that would make our day special and unique to us. First and most importantly, we wanted great food, and second, we wanted a rustic, relaxed atmosphere. We started by picking our reception location. A friend of mine showed me a picture of Gibbet Hill Barn in Groton, Massachusetts, and I instantly fell in love and immediately sent a picture to Mike via text. He simply said, “Um…yes.” Our ceremony was held at The Groton Public Library, which was their first wedding! I was researching venues late at night when I came across a picture of the library and thought “Sex and the City,” country style. I contacted a woman named Owen at the library, and she explained that they had never done a wedding before but she would ask the trustees if it was a possibility. We discussed what rooms we thought could work for the ceremony, and a week later, I received an excited email from Owen that it was a go!

A lot of elements in our wedding were DIY because we wanted to add little touches that we knew could make it special. Our save-the-dates were our first DIY craft. Christmas glass ball ornaments with mini-mittens (cut out by the groom) with a little tag saying, “Lex and Mike a perfect pair.” Mike asked if the rest of the crafts could be on a smaller scale. I agreed that project was adorable but a little out of control! Eventually on our wedding day, I learned that some high school students had made ornaments for the Christmas tree in the library. They used pages from “Romeo and Juliet” to make paper ornaments. They were beautiful, and it touched my heart that they had made them with us in mind. We had our invitations printed, but we hand-folded and glued the inner lace envelopes. I got library cards from the public library and printed each guest’s formal name and their specific menu on it. We bought cups and drew chalkboard hearts on them for the favors and put the library cards in the cups at each seat. We gave each guest a piece of chalk so they could decorate their cup! We printed and assembled our programs. We used shiny silver paper and leftover lace from our invitations. We added a little bit of personality and humor to our programs because that’s who we are! We bought CD crates and stained them a darker brown and bought rolls of burlap for our welcome baskets. We added little New England touches such as Sam Adams beer and Cape Cod chips to them. For the table assignments, I found an old picture and frame in the basement of the school I teach at, spray painted it silver and covered it with chalkboard paint. As a personal touch, we decided we wanted the table assignments to be the names or nicknames we use with our family and friends. We had a sign for “Instagram” so our family and friends could upload pictures. This was a big hit, and we will forever have some amazing pictures.

I won my dress from a contest I entered on Nordstrom. It was a start-up dress line that was looking for real brides to “model” their dresses. I entered the contest online late one night. The next thing I knew I was a finalist and eventually modeled the dresses around NYC and picked one to wear to my wedding. The tulle on the dress made me think of ballerinas, and I love seeing ballerina’s with sweaters on in the winter. I decided I would try and find one to wear for my pictures. Our photographer, Lindsay, is a childhood friend I grew up swimming competitively with. I wanted her humor and her relaxed professionalism on my wedding day. I love, love, LOVE her work and knew that having her “picture” our special day would be amazing … and it was.

Cape Cod Wedding from Love & Perry Photography

I am so thankful for Love & Perry Photography, because they have given us this beauty at Pelham House Resort filled with such artistry and care in every single image. When the Bride, mother of the Bride, AND mother of the Groom all have “art” in their job titles, you know these ladies are going to make one heck of a wedding. It has watercolors, quilts and beautiful details galore and you can see it all in the gallery, right here.

From the Bride… Bob and I grew up in the same small Massachusetts town. His mother was actually my art teacher in high school. We were not high school sweethearts, but when we began dating three years ago after years of close friendship we quickly figured out it was meant to be. The flowers were arranged by a close family friend Eileen Muller and included enormous dahlias from the Mayor’s Plantation Dahlia Farm in our hometown of Holliston. Our beach bohemian wedding was a labor of love, as proclaimed by my mother. I am an elementary school art teacher and working artist who is breaking into the stationery and event design field, so I was very particular and wanted a hand in every detail of our wedding. With both my mother and mother-in-law being artists, it was all hands on deck. We chose to get married in Dennis Port near my Nana’s house, where we spend a lot of time. Cape Cod is our most favorite place, and we embrace all things seaside! Inside my dress and his suit, we each wore lobster trap charms tied with turquoise ribbon. We had lobster gummy candies in our champagne glasses, and Bob’s mom decorated whale and lobster-shaped cookies for the dessert table. A seagull literally dropped a fish on the lawn of the ceremony minutes before it began, so I think our guests truly got a feel for Cape Cod.

Because our huge wedding party included many friends of both of ours, our wedding party stood boy-girl-boy-girl. This also allowed my brother to stand near me and Bob’s sister near him. Our wedding was a progressive interfaith Jewish ceremony, with a liberal rabbi and the breaking of two glasses. My bridesmaid Ellie sang the seven blessings in Hebrew, and Bob’s grandmother read an excerpt from the Velveteen Rabbit. The program covers were adorned with recycled craft paper covered with bright paint from my art classroom tables last year, stamped with our anchor monogram my friend Rosie and I designed. The wedding itself incorporated every shade of purple known to man. The bridesmaids each chose their own purple dress, and the groomsmen were instructed to wear gray suits of any shade. We gathered various purple, patterned ties for all of them and the men in the immediate family. The chuppah was an ombre quilt made with love by my bridesmaid Anne. It was so incredibly windy that it broke off the pole as soon as the chuppah was opened, so we improvised by having it held behind us during our vows. Thankfully, we had planned a unity sand ceremony rather than unity candle for our mothers, so that was not interrupted by the wind. Both the chuppah and the R&B for our sweetheart table chairs arrived on airplanes that weekend, carried by close friends who crafted them for us. Bob proposed to me on a scrabble board, so it was fitting for us to have the “just married” tile racks on our sweetheart table.

Along the fence of the lawn, overlooking the ocean, hung jars of flowers that I upgraded from spaghetti sauce jars with glass paint, frosted spray paint and rope. The large vases, I collected from thrift stores and then spray painted lavender from the inside to emphasize the textures of the glass. The escort cards I painted with various shades of purple watercolors and sprinkled with salt to create a an ocean-spray textural effect. My bridesmaid Kate wrote the calligraphy on the cards. Lavender and rosemary sprigs from my garden were placed on each plate for the guests. The invitations were my largest project. I painted each piece of paper with washes of watercolor. I created a watercolor painting of dahlias and ranunculus that I then laid out in Photoshop to create the final design. Each invitation was printed on my home printer on the watercolor washed papers. Our wedding was a beautiful merging of our love for all things nautical, nature and art-ful. A day so full of love in so many ways, AND we had the best time ever!

From the Bride… It was very important to my husband and me that we find a wedding venue that would allow us to have an elegant, rustic wedding. Quonquont Farm in Whately, Massachusetts, was the perfect venue for us – we were married in an apple orchard, and had our reception in a newly-renovated barn that was elegant but still had country touches! Our day was everything we imagined it to be. The ceremony was perfect and laid-back, made even more so by having my childhood minister officiate the ceremony. The reception was beautiful inside the barn with its rustic elegance. The venue did not require many decorative touches, so I kept it simple with the flowers doing most of the decorating. I had an overall theme of apples, using apple crates as bases for the flower baskets at the ceremony and using various New England apple varieties as table names. The landscape of the farm was perfect for pictures and for making our day one that we will never forget!

From April K PhotographyThis Beacon Hill engagement session took place after a long, rainy day. Travis and Christine used to live in Beacon Hill and that’s where their love blossomed, so it was only fitting that we go back and re-live their favorite hot spots. We walked around Revere Street and down to the Esplanade and then enjoyed the view from Christine’s old apartment’s rooftop. Since it was October, we stopped along the way at the city’s pumpkin patch.

Nantucket Wedding at Sankaty Head Golf Club from Soiree Floral

There’s tulle and then there’s Vera Wang tulle. The whisper of a fabric so romantic and delicate that I have to stop everything and admire its many layers of wonderfulness. And when that tulle happens to live in a wedding on the beautiful island of Nantucket filled with Soiree Floral’s most gorgeous of flowers and twobirds Bridesmaid dresses? Oh, it’s just too much pretty to handle and you can see it all from Katie Kaizer Photography in the gallery right here.

From the Bride… Jordan and I met in June five summers ago when I visited New York City to look for an apartment. We were introduced to each other by mutual friends, however our time together was short lived, as I was due to leave for my summer position as a music camp counselor, while Jordan had an internship in Los Angeles at a talent agency. Despite our immediate distance, we began to cultivate a close friendship through the pay phone in my camp’s barn. In many ways, the distance helped us get to know each other even better. There was no pressure that summer, and there was a certain romanticism involved in getting to know Jordan with an entire country between us. The months quickly passed, and that fall, we both moved to New York City and formally began dating.

Five years later, I came home from a late afternoon lunch with my best friend and manager. Being a violinist, it’s a rare occasion that I’m not working on a Friday or Saturday evening, but that night Jordan and I had decided to go out for a night on the town! However, when I arrived home Jordan seemed cranky and out of touch. It was on the fifth time that I asked him what was wrong when he asked me to sit down on the couch. My heart started to beat really fast, and I, of course, was thinking the worst. All of a sudden, he took out a brown leather box, and inside was a beautiful ring. Right there, he asked me to marry him. I was shocked to say the least. I couldn’t even respond before I called my parents who happened to be way out on Great Point, the furthest point out on Nantucket Island. Cell service was less than ideal but I did manage to get across that I was engaged.

When we decided to get married, many of our friends and family asked, “Why Nantucket?! It’s notoriously difficult to get to and while having a wedding on an island is certainly beautiful, it brings a whole new set of complications to the table.” Despite all of the rationale that Nantucket is no place for a large wedding, the island has always held a special place in my heart and retained a certain magic. My family has been summer residents for four generations, and I have a distinct memory of myself when I was seven years old as the flower girl in a family friend’s wedding. The ceremony was held at the Siasconset Chapel and the reception was at Sankaty Head Golf Club. It was no surprise that at a young age, I declared to family and friends that I would eventually get married on Nantucket. A year after dating Jordan, I brought him to Nantucket for the first time. He instantly fell in love with the island and agreed that despite certain reservations, we absolutely had to get married there. We have countless memories of wonderful beach days, nights out and about in town and a million delicious meals at Le Languedoc and Claudettes.

Our wedding weekend arrived quickly. What you can’t tell from the pictures was that a serious storm threatened our wedding, causing many flight cancellations and forcing countless guests to get in their cars and drive from New York to Hyannis before embarking on the two hour slow ferry ride from Hyannis to Nantucket. However, at about noon on our wedding day, the weather finally cleared and the sun came out. The day turned out to be absolutely beautiful! Our wedding theme was nautical chic, with pink and navy as our color scheme. Of course we incorporated the pink, as that is the color of my violin. Nautical stripes adorned the stationery to bring that little bit of preppiness that is so iconic of the island.

Cape Cod Wedding at Popponesset Inn from Servidone Studios Photography

True story: half the shirts in my closet have blue and white stripes of some sort. If that doesn’t shine a light on my adoration for all things nautical, I just don’t know what does. So when I laid eyes on this Popponesset Inn beauty, my Cape Cod loving-heart skipped a beat. You can see every perfectly preppy detail captured by Servidone Studios Photography in the full gallery!

From Servidone Studios PhotographyJulie and TJ had a romantic Cape wedding. Everything oozed with effortless beauty, just like the bride. Julie’s mom sadly passed away last year, but her spirit was there. For example, the charm on Julie’s bouquet read, “Mom, Wish You Were Here”, and there was a photo display by the escort cards, along with a thoughtful note on their donation to the Lustgarten Foundation to find a cure for pancreatic cancer. There was an abundance of love and laughter. Every last detail was charming: The tables were named after Julie and TJ’s favorite spots to eat in Massachusetts, the dessert table had a sign that read “How sweet it is to be loved by you”, and The Popponesset Inn just exuded casual chic with its blue and white tented reception area and lanterns hung from the ceiling. The way TJ looked at his wife that day will melt your heart. These two are so much in love, and it’s just so darn sweet. DJ Danny Walsh had everyone on the dance floor.

Cambridge Multicultural Arts Center Wedding from Deborah Zoe Photo

Some weddings just have a magic touch, that little something that makes them stand out from the rest and sparkle. And this wedding, my friends, is one of those. We don’t know if it’s the gorgeous bride’s bright smile, those fabulous Kate Spade shoes, or the bold and beautiful tablescapes with chevron runners and gold flower vases. Whatever it is, we’ve got a serious crush on this wedding from Deborah Zoe Photo. See the rest right here.

From Deborah Zoe PhotoStephanie and Nick wanted to make sure that Cambridge was an important part of their wedding. It is, after all, where they met and fell in love! Fittingly, they chose the Cambridge Multicultural Arts Center for their ceremony and reception venue. Cambridge and the city of Boston played an important role in Stephanie and Nick’s day. From their wedding location, to where Stephanie got ready with a view of the city skyline to the table names and seating arrangements, Boston was a common theme.

Boston Wedding Film from GENERATIONS Cinemastories

There is a look that every groom has. It’s his smitten look. At some point on the big day, he looks at his bride and his whole body smiles. That look always, always, always brings a tear to my eye. And GENERATIONS Cinemastories was able to capture this groom’s smitten look perfectly. The rest of the wedding is just as sweet – and totally gorgeous – but seriously. The grooms smitten look is perfect.

From GENERATIONS CinemastoriesThe couple chose to have an outdoor ceremony in the outdoor area of Washburn Pavillion behind the Museum of Science with a tented reception following on The Promenade and dancing again in the Washburn Pavillion. The bride got ready at a private hotel on Commonwealth Avenue in Boston, providing photographers and videographers wonderful film opportunities outside. The couple had their first look on the esplanade on Commonwealth Avenue, and enjoyed a stroll up Newbury Street for some fun candid photos.

Burlington Wedding at L’Andana from Scott Zuehlke Photography

I’m not sure which is cooler: the fact that the bride’s dad is a preacher and both walked her down the aisle and performed the ceremony or the amazing dinner-party-esque reception that followed at the gorgeous L’Andana. It’s a toss up for sure, but one thing is certain and that’s the fact that we can’t stop smiling at this adorable couple. From the Bride… After six years of dating, Anthony and I got engaged on a bright, sunny day in New Hampshire on a weekend camping trip. We talked about what was important for our wedding — we wanted a personal and intimate ceremony, a reception that felt like a dinner party, a focus on time with family and friends, and to have it all in a rustically elegant space. I searched online for months trying to find the perfect location. Originally I’d wanted an old, historic building, but when I saw L’Andana’s gorgeous wood floors and tables, its floor-to-ceiling fireplace and phenomenal ambiance, I knew we had to see it. We went there for dinner to celebrate our engagement, and the second I walked in, before we even got past the hostess stand, I knew it was THE place. The rest of the wedding just fell into place.

My parents came to visit Boston from Minnesota where I grew up, so I’d decided that I would get my dress that weekend — no matter what. We ended up at Priscilla of Boston, and though I didn’t see anything that worked, as we were leaving I spied the most unique dress on another girl’s rack of dresses to try on. I waited a half hour until she put it back and then stood in that dress for another half an hour until I decided to jump. (It fit off the rack, or so I thought until their AMAZING seamstress made it fit like a glove and added the shoulder ruffle just from a description I dreamed up). My flowers were made by an outstandingly creative artist — out of silk. I’d see bouquets I loved online and they all turned out to be hers, so I was able to tell her my vision and she made it better than I could have imagined. There were tons of little details I spent hours and hours planning for, but the wedding weekend itself was the absolute best moments, minutes, hours, and days of my life. My grandparents, who I hadn’t seen in years, flew in from Oregon, and aunts, uncles, cousins, siblings, nephews, and friends came from all around the US. We enjoyed a big family dinner Thursday night, bachelorette party Friday night, rehearsal dinner Saturday (which was nearly as amazing as the reception), and then the wedding on Sunday. Looking at Anthony through all of this, we just kept smiling with happiness and thankfulness that we had each other and were surrounded by everyone we love. We’d been counting down the days until we’d finally be married, and then when it was the day, we just focused on enjoying it together. We did a first look photo shoot at the park prior to the wedding so that we could get all of the pictures out of the way.

The ceremony was especially meaningful because not only did we pick all of the readings, hymns, and vows, but my father was also able to walk me down the aisle, then preach the sermon and perform the rights as he did for each of my siblings. Anthony and I took that message to heart and continue to read those words for inspiration and direction. Finally, the reception … what can I say except that it was absolutely perfect with a dream location and ambiance and some of the best food I’ve ever eaten. We danced our first dance and just tried to take it all in, and as the night went by, our goofy smiles got bigger and bigger until we couldn’t help but cry from happiness after all of the guests had left. We finally got in the car to go downtown Boston to the gorgeous IX Beacon Hotel before flying out to our honeymoon in Spain the following day. It was the best day of our lives, but better than that, it was the starting of our life together, which is the most amazing thing of all.

Massachusetts Wedding at Todd Farm Flea Market from Esther Mathieu Photography

I sort of feel a little awkward about this next wedding. Because it’s quite clear that I have fallen madly in love with the bride. When I know good and well that I should give equal play to both the bride and the groom (who isn’t too shabby himself by the way). But I can’t help it. I love her. I want to look exactly like her. I want to steal her perfectly lovely style and keep it as my very own. I love her. I really do. And I supposed that I have the beauty of the photography captured flawlessly by Esther & Samantha at Esther Mathieu Photography to thank for that. This wedding, my friends, is pretty defined. Click here to see so much more.

From Esther of Esther Mathieu Photography… Samuel and Theresa are dear friends of mine and I was more than excited to photograph their wedding. Being the type of people that wake up at sunrise to shop flea markets to find the perfect item, I knew their wedding would be full of DIY and antique details, and they delivered!

They chose to get married outdoor in a field at Todd Farm, a flea market they go to every Sunday morning, which was very fitting. The ceremony was heartfelt and intimate. Theresa looked stunning in her antique dress and Sam looked dapper. The guests moved over to the reception held under a tent right night to the ceremony site. All of the food they served was vegan and amazing. The sodas and sparkling wine had 1920’s labels the bride found and applied to the bottles. The day ended perfectly with some fun and dancing under the tent, lit solely by string lights.

From the Bride… Cape Cod is, hands-down, my favorite place in the world. Growing up, my family spent every summer there, and it has always been my dream wedding destination. Thankfully, I married the most selfless man who wanted to make my dream come true; Bobby knew from the moment we got engaged that we would most likely be getting married on the Cape. My sister and brother-in-law got married on the Cape three years before us and had some incredible vendors that we were able to use for our special day!  Immediately after Bobby proposed, my parents sprang into action and contacted the caterer, venue, band and florist and got our wedding planning ball rolling. As coordinators of the chaos, my mom and dad deserve most of the wedding planning credit!

Our venue was breathtaking and allowed for us to keep everything else very simple, but with a nautical twist. Food is important to both Bobby and me, and since we were asking people to travel from our home state of Texas (and from all over the US), we wanted our guests to have authentic East Coast cuisine. Seafood was the theme! Our guests are still talking about the clam chowder shooters and the mini lobster club sandwiches!  The food, the music (Motown oldies!), the bright flowers, and the overall décor felt very us, and we were so thankful to everyone who helped make it such a memorable day. Our amazing photographer even managed to capture our fits of laughter in addition to our emotional moments during the gorgeous sunset. Surrounded by our families and great friends, our wedding day was truly more special than we could have ever imagined!

From the Bride… The story of how Jonathan and I met varies depending on which one of us you ask! He recalls being introduced to me through a friend one afternoon during a brief lunch break in between classes at our alma mater, George Mason University, which is located in the Washington DC area. I remember seeing him around campus but never really meeting him until after we graduated and both ended up at the same bar one evening in Georgetown. It was that night that we were formally introduced by mutual friends and spent hours discussing our desire to travel and our complete disinterest in settling down! Ha! Little did we know that we would be married five years later!

Jonathan and I have a love for really good wine. An expensive hobby, but we truly enjoy together traveling all over the country visiting some of the most beautiful vineyards together. It was on our four-year anniversary that Jonathan proposed to me at Three Fox Vineyards, a favorite local winery of ours perched on top of rolling hills in the heart of Virginia. It had been a dreary day, but the minute we set foot on the vineyard to celebrate our anniversary, the clouds parted, the sun peeked through and a rainbow shown overhead (I kid you not!). I’m not a very mushy person, but in that moment, everything felt right, and I knew then that I was meant to be with this man forever.

Jonathan is Lebanese but was born and raised in the Washington DC area. His parents were born in Lebanon, and his family remains deeply rooted to their heritage and culture. I was raised in Massachusetts, but my interest in experiencing a new city brought me down to DC for college and eventually turned into my new home. However, my heart will always remain loyal to New England. When we began discussing the type of wedding we wanted, we agreed on a classic affair that would not only tie in Jonathan’s bond to his heritage but also bring our wide-spread families and friends together from all over the globe. We immediately agreed to have a fall wedding in Boston, as the crisp weather and beautiful foliage made the perfect backdrop! And after falling in love with The State Room for our wedding reception location, we knew the picturesque view of the Boston Harbor from the 33rd floor of the venue would be absolutely breath taking in the fall.

Planning a wedding in Boston from Washington DC seemed tricky, so we hired event planner Alexis Eliopoulos O’Mara from Unique Weddings by Alexis, who truly was our saving grace during the entire process! With Boston as our backdrop, we decided to tie the city into our theme. Alexis’ team, as well as the fantastic staff at The State Room, helped us execute our vision of a “classic city wedding” perfectly. We said our vows during a traditional Catholic ceremony at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross in south Boston and danced the night away to Boston’s Kahootz band with the gorgeous Boston Harbor as our backdrop! The day was a dream and everything we could have imagined, and having the fabulous Kelly Dillon there to capture every single moment for us to remember forever made it all that more special!
