What To Do If You Want To Exchange Traditional + Personalized Vows

If you want to write your own vows but your religious institution requires exchanging traditional ones during the ceremony – or if you just want both! – take a cue from this sweet Bride and Groom who shared personal, handwritten vows during their first look. Amalie Orrange Photography captured this intimate moment, and the rest of their elegant wedding planned by L.I.F.E. Events is just as heartwarming, so hit play on the video by Jeffrey Stoner below!

[iframe http://player.vimeo.com/video/218080001 600 338]

From the Bride… Our wedding was the perfect combination of traditional and whimsical. We officially married during a Catholic ceremony, but we exchanged heartfelt, handwritten vows prior to the ceremony during our first look. The church ceremony was reverent and traditional, and the reception was held at a historic home with small nooks and crannies to explore. From details as big as the white-washed brick and as small as the gold flatware, we wanted our wedding to have an elegant but laid-back feel. While guests could munch on traditional passed fare during cocktail hour, we also had an avocado bar set up. The full moon at the end of the night shed the perfect light on our amazing day – we couldn’t have asked for more.

The Chicest Oceanside Rooftop Wedding We’ve Ever Laid Our Eyes On

Black and white stripes ALWAYS up the ante for any soiree and this oceanside wedding is no exception. It’s a chic throwback to the good ole stylish days of yesteryear and we’re loving every pic that Abby Sweet captured of this Floridian fete. See them all in our Vault right this way!

From the Bride… Classic, white peonies, the Emerald Coast, and the most perfect Hayley Paige gown is just the start of this modern, oceanside rooftop wedding on scenic route 30-a -Rosemary Beach, Florida.

As guests were arriving in Rosemary Beach, they were quickly greeted with perfect, spring Florida weather, the laughter and happy conversations between tourists from all over the country, and the European architecture lining the streets of scenic route 30-a. The smell of saltwater and the feel of the ocean breeze guided the guests down the cobblestone street to the doors of The Pearl Hotel. There they were met with champagne and guided upstairs to the Havana rooftop deck. From the black and white striped awnings above the balconies of the suites, to the lace of my oh-so-favorite Hayley Paige gown, to my future husband’s brother’s band playing our first dance song, the day could not have gone any better.

We watched the sun set over the ocean, while drinking champagne and dancing the night away with people we love most in this world.

An Event Producer Planned Her Wedding With Effortless Style

As an event producer-turned-bride, Carolina had a pretty clear vision for her big day. Alongside Masi Events and a crew of fabulous vendors, she planned an effortlessly chic celebration infused with Latin culture and the result was a nothing short of perfection. Take a peek at Carolina and Lisandro’s “I do” with even more captured by Merari Photography.

Carolina & Lisandro wed at the beautiful St. Jude Church full of meaningful traditions, followed by a reception at Vizcaya Museum & Gardens with 300 of their closest friends and family. Carolina, being an Event producer herself for a luxury brand company, already had a clear vision and plan for her wedding. She was looking for an event planner to partner with to see the details through so she can truly be a bride on her wedding. She envisioned a wedding that was fun, beautiful and natural and that is exactly the vision that came to fruition that day.

There was a certain effortless chic style about the wedding mixed with formality yet laid back fun vibe. From the long royal tables paired with a gorgeous linen and greenery garlands down the table with Tuscan cross back chairs with assigned seating for all guests. The first course was a tropical salad with locally harvested papaya and mango served with dressing in a cucumber cup followed by dinner stations where guests would be able to mingle and help themselves to an arepa station and Latin station. All the food was served in white casseroles giving a very homey and inviting feel.

The clear top tent was lined with market lights and the lower terrace was filled with white cabana furniture that allowed guests to enjoy mini desserts while taking in the magnificent water views. During the first part of the evening La Vida band performed authentic old world Cuban and Latin music, while guests dined. Then DJ LA kicked off the party and guests danced the night away. Carolina and Lisandro had a grand exit with white glow sticks as their guests showered them with praises as they started off their lives together as husband and wife!

High School Sweethearts Tie the Knot at Italian-Inspired Venue

These high school sweethearts have a love so apparent, it almost jumps off the page. The Ganeys did an incredible job at capturing that love, along with the dreamy details of their Italian-inspired wedding day at Bella Collina. Take a little stroll with us under the twinkle lights and floating al fresco chandythe full gallery awaits.

[iframe http://player.vimeo.com/video/223311333 600 338]

From The Ganeys.. Stephanie and Greg met in high school and started dating when they were juniors. I mean, does it get any more perfect than that? They spent four years doing long distance while they were at different colleges, but the distance didn’t stop them from building a great connection. They love to travel and hike, and they recently moved out west to build a new life together.

Stephanie and her bridesmaids got ready at a beautiful home on the lake right near Bella Collina. The natural light at that home was a photographer’s dreamt! The girls spent the morning having their hair and makeup done, anticipating the wedding day.

After a few hours, we all made our way over to the venue. It was more beautiful than I had envisioned. Stephanie put on her dress with the help of her mom, sister, and future mother-in-law. Her gown was delicate and covered in lace. Her bridesmaids wore dusty blue dresses with fun off-the-shoulder details. The groomsmen played pool and relaxed in the locker room around the corner.

Stephanie and Greg opted to share a first look before their ceremony, and I’m so grateful that they did! It allowed us to truly take advantage of this incredible venue and capture so many images of the two of them!

Greg and Stephanie were married in the driveway at Bella Collina. It was a wonderful location with the arches as the perfect backdrop. Stephanie walked down the aisle with her dad by her side. During the ceremony, Stephanie and Greg placed letters into a box, along with a bottle of wine, that they will open one day in the future. Before we knew it, these two were officially husband and wife!

The party got started shortly after the ceremony, as guests made their way to their dining area. The weather was perfect for an outdoor reception. String lights and an epic chandelier hung above the dance floor. Tables were covered in garlands and lanterns. At each place setting sat a bottle of olive oil and a jar of spices – the perfect favor for such an Italian-inspired wedding!

The rest of the evening was filled with hilarious and heart-felt toasts, the most delicious cake, and grandpa (along with everyone else) tearing it up on the dance floor! The newlyweds exited just after midnight through a tunnel of sparklers. It was such a magical day!

As Caitlin Jones, owner of Plan It Events, said, “the couple was truly wonderful to work with. Stephanie and Greg had an impeccable and heart-felt vision for their day. In addition, we had a dream team of vendors that pulled together this flawless event.”

Uptown Chic Meets Rustic Farmhouse With This Glamorous Affair

From a chic, city backdrop to the beauty of a rustic farm, this wedding celebration has a little bit of everything. Their wedding day began in downtown Tampa a the beautiful chic Le Meridian hotel. Here they each got ready with their best and closest of friends. The gorgeous and historic columns outside the hotel was the perfect setting to have their first look. As Megan exited the doors, Brent took a huge breath and didn’t release it until just after he turned around to see his stunning bride. The two embody poise and sophistication, as their portraits unfolded along the colonnade. After their portraits the couple, the wedding party made their way to the beautiful rustic Barrington Hill Farm, where Megan & Brent shared their vows under blowing Spanish moss. The evening proceeded on the front lawn of the farmhouse, where Megan chose dark wood tables that accompanied gold chivari chairs and light blue chiffon drapery for the tablescapes. She chose all white florals to add subtle glam and elegance to her already gorgeous palette. The two enjoyed the company of friends and family under the dark starry night sky, which made way for the stunning sparklers at the end of their already perfect wedding day.

The Bride’s Enzoani Dress Will Make Your Jaw Drop

Matthew and Denise love escaping to Miami Beach any chance they get, so hosting a destination wedding in this sizzling city was kind of a no-brainer. Denise, an event planner herself, brought on a team of awesome vendors to help them plan from afar, including Erika Delgado to work her magic behind the camera lens. From her jaw-dropping Enzoani dress to the couple’s rooftop vows, this epic celebration is one for the books.

From the Bride… Matt and I have known each other since high-school but it wasn’t until we ran into one another 15 years later that we gave it a shot at dating. And here we are married today! We had a destination wedding since we are from Pittsburgh. Our wedding day was modern, chic and elegant, with our colors being primarily white with shades of blue.

I opted to go with no wedding cake (I may be the only person who doesn’t like cake) but instead, we decided on a Viennese table of assorted mini desserts and champagne. I’m an event planner myself so I wanted to keep everything easy and really have fun while planning my own wedding. Coordinating everything from Pittsburgh was a bit of a challenge, but the Miami Beach EDITION hotel and all of the wedding vendors we chose were amazing to work with and helped keep me at ease throughout the entire process.

My favorite parts of the day were our ceremony on the rooftop terrace overlooking the ocean and our “first look” which was on the amazing rooftop deck of our penthouse suite. Thanks to our photographer, Erika Delgado for coming up with the idea. It could not have been any more perfect, private and beautiful. Since we planned a destination wedding, our favors and escort cards were leather luggage tags for each guest. We also asked our guests to fill out destination tags for places we should travel to anywhere in the world on future trips together. Next up is our honeymoon to South Africa!

From Erika Delgado Photography… Sizzling, vibrant and known for its sunshine, top-notch food, and music, Miami is made for celebrations. The city is also home to historic art deco hotels, and ballrooms with sweeping ocean views which made The Miami Beach Edition Hotel the perfect wedding venue for Denise and Matthew. The couple is from Pittsburgh with friends and family traveling from the Midwest, so the skyline and beaches were a perfect treat.

One of the Prettiest Spots to Say I Do in Florida

After perusing this collection of wedding imagery from Joseph Rogero, pews and palms might just be my new favorite combo. Doesn’t this scene just make you want to jump through the screen? I wouldn’t mind being a guest in this serene space watching two love birds pledge their vows. Thankfully, we can all be virtual guests in the full gallery!

From Joseph RogeroJason and Emily set out to plan a beautiful outdoor wedding on Amelia Island. The two claim love at first sight. Jason was invited to eat New Years dinner at a local supper club in Atalanta and Emily just so happened to be working that night. The rest is history. Personal touches and attention to detail are things these two know about. Jason is a personal/private Chef (Dine with Jason) and Emily founded her own energy company (Emrgy). These two love the warm costal beauty of the Island and hosted an organic gathering along costal inlet of the incredibly charming delta. Guests had a sense of sanctuary as they were greeted with pews outside under the ancient oaks of Amelia, then enjoyed the setting sun while partaking in low country traditions such as old fashions and oysters during cocktail hour along Walkers Landing veranda. With the grooms background in culinary arts, guest enjoyed not so traditional wedding plates that were nothing short of amazing. Courses included soft egg and asparagus salad with goat cheese, smoked morels with aji pepper vinaigrette. Stuffed Chicken roulade with carrot puree, fava beans and peas, carbonated blueberries. Pan seared cobia with ramp chimichurri, local sea beans, shrimp chip, Congaree and Penn broken rice with mushrooms. Of course all food had wine pairings with each course as well. The always delightful Atlanta Showstoppers and their 12 piece band played the night away.

Multicultural Enchanted Ballroom Wedding

Amanda and Aaron are busy young professionals who wanted a thoughtfully designed wedding minus all the planning stress. They teamed up with the amazing Lisa Stoner Events, explaining their vision for a multicultural, enchanted ballroom wedding and Lisa (needless to say) hit it out of the park. She brought the outdoors in with 12-foot trees plus greenery galore and Amalie Orange Photography and Seltzer Films captured the moments these two will treasure for a lifetime.

[iframe http://player.vimeo.com/video/214184848 600 338]

From Lisa Stoner, wedding planner and designer… Amanda and Aaron’s wedding planning story was not unlike many professional couples today; Aaron as a budding oral surgeon and Amanda as a full-time nurse, pursuing her Master’s Degree in Nursing. Hailing from Texas, Amanda was new to Orlando, and I didn’t want the overwhelming planning to take away the joy in the leading months to their wedding.

Amanda very simply explained to me that her favorite place to decompress and have a glass of wine with Aaron was on their backyard deck. It gave her a sense of tranquility in their very busy lives. That’s all I needed to know! I went forth with the idea to create an elevated and elegant aesthetic by bringing in 12 foot live trees, ferns, garlands of greenery and magical fairy lights intertwined in all of it with the help of my talented design partners. Revealing this enchanting ballroom “backyard” to her and Aaron just before guests were invited inside, was certainly the highlight of the entire process!

From the bride Amanda… I was born in the beautiful state of Texas but my mom is from Belize and my dad is from Trinidad and Tobago. I really wanted to celebrate culture because I wanted to share with other people at least a small part of what makes me who I am.

Jumping the broom: Was used by slaves starting in the 1840s-1850s to symbolize the sealing of a union – since most marriages around the ties of slavery were not recognized. In the 20th century what was seen initially as a custom that was essentially pushed upon the African Americans is now seen as a fun and treasured ceremony.

When I initially told Aaron about this idea he was not all that interested and then the next thing I knew he was taking a stick from a tree in the backyard, peeling the bark off of it and sanding it down so it was completely smooth. He took a huge branch that bears the fruit on the palm tree and trimmed that back to make the actual broom itself. He used twine to put all of it together – and carved our initials and wedding date into it. So it’s really meaningful because it was totally handmade from parts of plants around our home.

I always knew when I got married I wanted to have a pan player somehow incorporated into the wedding as a nod to my dad and his home country. In Trinidad and Tobago before Ash Wednesday there is an annual celebration called Carnival. I went for the first time in 2012 and that was also the first time my dad had ever played mas. Playing mas means you’ve chosen a masquerade band to participate with and you’ll be chippin (a march/shuffle/dance combo step) alongside mas goers with a similar costume.

The Junkanoo band we hired was based out of The Bahamas, but the feeling it gave was very similar to that of a small band in Carnival. I wanted our guests to not just come to a wedding – I wanted them to have an experience. The band, along with everything else, laid such an amazing foundation to really add a taste of culture to our wedding.

A Fort Myers Wedding With French Country Style

“Utterly romantic” doesn’t even begin to describe this Florida lovefest. Designed by Elleson Events with a French Country feel, it infuses a sea of neutrals with effortless elegance and too many beautiful moments to count. Hunter Ryan Photo captured behind the lens and you can start pinning your favorite details right over here.

From the event planner… On a beautiful November afternoon, officiated by the groom’s grandfather, Marlene and John said their vows surrounded by copious greenery.

Although a large wedding (160 guests), Johna and Marlene hosted what felt like an intimate European inspired affair beneath a canopy of trees in the semi-secluded Horse Creek community park.

John and Marlene love spending time outdoors, and their wedding reflected that. Organic, timeless details – from the soft green and creamy white invitations to the garden style peony bouquets, every detail had a romantic, soft, ethereal quality that also exuded effortless elegance.

Above the family-style tables hung greenery garland and glass globes that offered the perfect late night romantic twinkle.

The menu included meat and cheese boards, fruits, nuts, dips, and wine, as well as delectable dessert delights. Perfect for nibbling and grazing, while enjoying the canopy of shade offered by the park’s trees.

Looking for an organic, bohemian-style celebration they opted for whimsical watercolor invites, bright pops of color, and an overall casual elegance that made for an unforgettable day. Justin DeMutiis photographed and Brandon Kari Productions caught it on film; the fun is only just getting started.

From the bride… We are both raised in Windermere, Florida so we decided to bring it back to roots! Our wedding was surrounding the Town Hall of Windermere and the ceremony was be overlooking the lake we grew up on. I love the whimsical, botanical feel and wanted an organic vibe that felt more like a celebration than a wedding.

Celebrating Dockside With a Simple and Classic Southern Affair

From the Photographer… Daniel and Hannah’s wedding was a simple but classic wedding. With help from close family and friends, they made simple details such as flowers and table settings something special. The Eden Gardens State Park plantation home made for a classic southern background. Saying their vows under the old-fashioned wedding tree with moss swaying in the wind made you feel as though you had traveled back in time. Hannah’s wedding dress was just perfect for the wedding, with just the right amount of tulle to make her look whimsical and classic all at the same time. Daniel sported a nice navy blue suit with a bow tie to bring it all together. Surround by their close friends and family, they tied the knot. Afterwards, Daniel and Hannah had their reception under the mossy trees with cafe lighting to light the night as they danced their first dance together. It was a modest reception with only the special details to make it stand out.

Bringing Hollywood Regency Style Glamour to South Beach

South Beach is known for its art deco glamour and with the help of Love in Vintage + Primrose Florals, that backdrop was infused with a dash of Hollywood Regency decor making for a day both stunning and insanely stylish. Palm Fronds, king protea and black and white trellis prints commingled with gilded vases and pineapple too. It’s glam at every turn captured by Ozzy Garcia. Dive in to even more of this Miami shindig right here.

From Love in Vintage A beautiful Art Deco hotel, a blush Sareh Nouri wedding gown, palm trees, sun, and film photography by Ozzy Garcia = magic! Monica and Steve wanted their destination wedding to be in Miami’s famous Art Deco playground, South Beach. They wanted everything to be nothing less than an epic experience for their guest, which meant: the perfect backdrop, great food, a saxophone and bongos, and a day filled with love, good mojitos, laughter, and F-U-N. Our design concept was a romantic and fun Hollywood Regency design to compliment the Art Deco architecture of the hotel. Our tablescape design for the intimate dinner was a mix of rich textures, which included: a custom made black and white trellis runner, bold gold vases, fretwork flower boxes, gold sunburst frames, white ceramic pineapples, gilded syroco pheasants, textured glassware, gold flatware, black peacock chairs for the bride and groom, and an array of white blooms and tropical greens. The place card holders were white lacquered cows, bulls, and sheep that were inspired by the iconic animal sculptures that are on display at the beautiful grounds of the Surfcomber. After dinner it was time to kickoff your shoes and dance the night away 305 style. For this part of the evening we wanted a more playful design. We were able to achieve a more playful design by incorporating pops of pink, banana leaves, and pineapples.

Bringing the Mediterranean to Florida

Inspired by a recent vacation to Capri, this couple transformed their Florida venue into a Mediterranean masterpiece where they could have the romantic wedding of their dreams while still celebrating with all of their friends and family. Anthology Co. made Italian staples – lemons and olive foliage – the focal point, accenting them with cheerful yellow blooms, and Bill Hansen Luxury Catering and Event Production continued the Mediterranean theme in the menu. After looking at the gallery by Merari Photography, you’ll really think you’re in magical Capri.

From the Bride… Brian and I met at the Publix deli counter. After quite some time, he planned to propose in Santa Barbara, California, but the second he picked up the ring (three months prior to his planned proposal) he couldn’t wait and called for a reservation at our favorite restaurant/first date location. I was seriously underdressed for the occasion and had one too many glasses of wine while we were waiting for our table. So, prior to his proposal – cringe moment – when he was telling me he loved me, I responded jokingly by shoving my ring finger in his face shouting “prove it!” Long story short, a couple of minutes later, he proposed, and I was SO SO SO surprised!

Since we couldn’t make the trip to Italy for our wedding (because we wanted all of our friends and family present), we chose a venue and theme reminiscent of Capri, Italy, where we had vacationed a year prior. Our wedding was inspired by the Mediterranean waters and lemon trees! Aside from the gorgeous venue and atmosphere, we hired a band to really keep the party going to ensure everybody had the time of their lives.

From Jana Williams PhotographyThis winter wedding in Palm Beach, FL was a whimsical and chic event full of inspiration. Carolee and Ryan currently live and work in New York City. Palm Beach has been one of their favorite places to visit so these two wanted to take this chance to share this with their family and closet friends for a weekend getaway. Carolee wore here Liancarlo dress so elegantly and Ryan’s custom suite along with the bridesmaids Adrianna Papell’s shimmer elevated the event. To make the day even more special, the happy couple was married in the same little blue church Carolee’s grandparents had been married at years before! When Carolee and Ryan made their grand entrance into the reception it was like walking into a wonderland of white twinkle lights. It was truly a magical evening with such caring families!

It’s Puppy Love at This Florida Keys Wedding

This Florida Keys wedding has the cutest, four-legged bridal party we ever did see! Because the couple loves spending time with their pups – they were even essential in the proposal story! – including the dogs in their wedding day was a no brainer. Decked out in bow ties and a floral wreath, the fur babies served as the couple’s attendants, and the result is adorable! Care Studios captured the al fresco affair, and if you’re experiencing puppy love like we are, head to the gallery for even more!

From the Bride… My favorite thing about Cort has to be his easy going attitude towards life. He always has his eye on the bigger picture and keeps me calm when I’m stressed or worried about something. We effortlessly love each other even when spending all of our time together. What makes us such a great match is our friendship. He travels two weeks a month for work, so when he’s home, we try to hang out as much as possible – this mostly evolves around our dogs, but we like to run or play tennis too. We also enjoy traveling! This past year we went to Napa, Aruba (where he proposed), Las Vegas, Naples, and the Keys a few times for wedding planning.

The best story has to be how he proposed. It took a lot of planning and preparation. He knew he had to include our dogs somehow in the proposal. He decided to propose in Aruba and enlisted the help of my neighbor to craft a creative proposal that incorporated our pets. They came up with the four dogs holding a sign that read, “Will you marry me?” and placed it on a card. While in Aruba, Cort took me to the Renaissance Private Island to get a couple’s massage in a bungalow hut over the water. Once the massage was complete, the masseuse handed me a packet. In the packet was the card with the 4 dogs and a china egg that my dad used to propose to my mom! I knew exactly what that egg meant, and the card was the perfect way to ask.

Cort is from Columbus, Ohio and I’m from Vermilion, Ohio. I used to work in Fort Myers, Florida, but after we met on Match.com, I changed jobs and moved back to the Columbus area to be with him. When I was in the middle of changing jobs, Cort took me to the Keys for a weekend getaway and celebration. For that reason, the Florida Keys have a special meaning to the both of us, so it was a natural choice for our wedding.

We knew we wanted a small wedding with just our families (including our four-legged family members). Finding a venue that allowed dogs and that our families would enjoy was a priority for us. Our wedding planner, Julia, from Blue Water Weddings, found a realtor who showed us a few homes available to rent. It was perfect seeing the homes with Julia because she could visually walk us through the layout for the wedding.

Julia really made the wedding planning process simple and easy. I showed her a few pictures from Pinterest, and we discussed things I liked and didn’t like. She built the whole wedding around my few pictures and our conversation. As the date got closer, I found a few things that I liked that we were able to incorporate in the wedding (including the Groom’s cake and buckeyes). We also had shirts made for our guest to take and remember the day! The shirt manufacturer created cartoon characters of our dogs, Teddy and Tiller! My hair and makeup was done by Linda Schonning, the owner of Florida Keys Bridal Team, and Ana Baidet did the makeup for the Bridesmaids.

The whole day was special, but what really stands out to me is the walk down the dock with my dad and saying my vows to Cort. The vows and first dance are what stand out in Cort’s mind.

A Childhood Friendship Blossomed Into a Beautiful Romance

This adorable Bride and Groom’s story began in China when they were classmates in elementary school. Fast forward a few years – they were both attending colleges in the United States when their friendship blossomed into a romance. At their nuptials on the always pretty Ringling Estate, family and friends (even some from elementary school!) witnessed this couple’s sweet union. The day was beautifully captured by Jillian Joseph Photography, and there’s more for you here.

From Jillian Joseph PhotographyLillian and Michael’s story begins in China, when they were classmates in elementary school with mutual friends. They kept in touch as they grew up and always remained friends. Michael came to the United States to attend college in Michigan, and when he found out that Lillian was choosing between a few colleges in the States, he convinced her that the closest school to him, Loyola, would be the best choice. As adults pursuing their advanced educations and careers, their longtime friendship blossomed into love.

They decided to host their wedding at the historic Ringling Estate in Sarasota, Florida, where they were joined by family and friends from around the globe – even friends they were classmates with in elementary school!

A Sun-Kissed Garden Engagement

Monday mornings are tough – there’s no debating that. But when you’ve got a ridiculously cute lovefest shot by The Ganeys at your fingertips, the day automatically looks so much better. Take a browse through the images and get to know this sweet duo, Michelle and Colton.

From The GaneysMichelle and Colton are one of the sweetest couples! We met at Bok Tower for their sun-filled engagement session. Bok Tower Gardens is a hidden gem in Central Florida. These two were champs and totally rocked their session, even with the warm weather! They made each other laugh throughout the day with their fun-loving personalities!

Colton and Michelle met back in college. When Colton was ready to pop the question, he knew he had to plan something good. They were planning on heading out to California for a road trip after he passed the bar exam, so he determined this would be a great opportunity to propose (I mean, does it get any better than California?). While planning the trip, they were both looking forward to the stay in Big Sur the most.

It just so happens, that the day that Big Sur was on their schedule, there were crazy wild fires. As they left Santa Barbara, the hotel called and canceled their hotel room, as the fire was within 100 miles. Shortly after, the restaurant where they had reservations called with the same news. Of course, this was pretty much crushing Colton’s plans. He had even hired a photographer to capture the proposal.

The photographer was super helpful throughout the rest of the process. She dropped a pin and Colton and Michelle headed that way to watch the sun set. Michelle didn’t pause to ask questions as they drove through a gated community. Needless to say, the proposal was a success and they have beautiful images to remember that moment!

These two are planning their December wedding and looking forward to celebrating with all of their family and friends!

A Miami Wedding Planner’s Romantic Nuptials

As an event planner herself, this bride knew exactly what she wanted and who she wanted to work with when it came to planning her own wedding. She assembled a team of incredible vendors – Unearthed VintageSo-Min Justine Kang Photography, Bill Hansen Catering, and many more! – to realize her vision, and they did not disappoint. Dig into the gallery for endless “pinspiration,” from her lacy, long sleeve gown to the long, farmhouse tables.

From Unearthed VintageWhen Taylor first reached out to us for the rentals and decor for her wedding, I knew that she also worked in the event industry here in South Florida, but this was the first time that I would actually meet her in person. She was planning to be married at Villa Woodbine, one of my favorite venues in Miami, and her vision was timeless – wanting beautiful, white washed pieces with touches of blush and green throughout. As a vendor, there is always something so exciting about a client who knows exactly what they want and who also gives you just enough creative freedom to have fun with it. This wedding was the very first time a bride wanted to use our Hampton Farmhouse Tables at Villa Woodbine, and I am so glad she did. The look was classic and elegant, especially with the gorgeous florals from Julia Rohde Designs throughout. Every single detail of the wedding was stunning, from the glowing bride and her handsome groom, to their beautiful bridal party, to all of the florals and decor throughout. My personal favorite part of this wedding though, is the friendship that developed between Taylor and me, and discovering our mutual love for donuts and cocktails.

From the Bride… I got to marry my best friend after eight years in the most beautiful location in Miami, surrounded by all of our friends and family. As a Miami Event Planner, I set the bar pretty high for my wedding. The pros? I know exactly what I love because I’ve seen it all. The cons? Living up to my own expectations seemed daunting! Fortunately, as soon as Tucker and I visited Villa Woodbine, we knew that was where we would get married. After the venue was picked, the details came easy. The lush garden of Villa Woodbine and the Mediterranean-Renaissance style of the Estate made everyone forget where we were for the evening. We got married under a massive oak tree, which had a four foot crystal chandelier from Unearthed Vintage hanging from the branches. The venue so easily allows for soft, subtle details because it holds such natural beauty. With the help of Julia Rohde Designs and Unearthed Vintage, we created a natural glamour motif of pinks, whites, and green. My bridesmaid’s dresses followed the same color palette in a variety of textures and styles. All the details came together beautifully, and the day flew by! Planning my wedding was one of the most fun things I’ve ever done. With the unbelievably hard work of all of my amazing vendors, I was fortunate enough to have every single detail I could have ever wanted, and I genuinely got my dream wedding.
