St. Augustine Bridal Session from Jennifer Blair Photography

Bridal sessions rock.  They just do.  I mean, what’s better than donning your finest in wedding apparel, frolicking throughout your favorite locations and capturing those emotions that can only be found in your soon-to-be Mrs. status?  Absolutely nothing.  And this gorgeous shoot captured by Jennifer Blair Photography?  It’s pure magic with a breathtaking St. Augustine setting and a bride who couldn’t be happier OR more beautiful.  Click here for soooo much more.

From Jennifer Blair PhotographyI have always dreamed of having a soundtrack to my life. I’ve wished many times that I could stand atop a hill with Schubert’s “Serenade” playing aloud and not just in my head. I suppose I’m a hopeless romantic in that regard. However, I never thought it would nearly come true for me. As I posed my bride, Jenessa, in front of the beautiful old stones of Castillo de San Marcos, it as if the images were singing. Jenessa was not afraid to let her emotions run freely. I felt as though I was watching a fairytale in real life. My heart could truly hear a sweet love song as she gazed of into the dusky blue waters, thinking of her man. I was transposed into another world. The 340-year-old fort could not have been a more perfect backdrop for this stunning bride. Every time I look at these images, my heart starts to sing like it did that day, so full of glorious emotion. I hope you can feel a little bit of it too.

Rockledge Wedding from Vine & Light Photography

When you love succulents as much as I do, weddings like this gorgeous Rocklege gem have a tendency to brighten your day.  Brighten your day in a way that only sunny yellow bouquets filled with succulents can do.  And when the bride is the oh-so-talented Lauren of Lauren Grace Weddings & Events and also happens to be as dedicated to succulents as you are, that’s a day brightening times ten.  Together with her dapper beau and close friends and family, she crafted an affair that was pure lovely (here’s looking at you, cake table), complete with divine images from Vine & Light Photography.  See so much more in the full gallery.

From Vine & Light PhotographyLauren did a wonderful job of incorporating vintage and modern elements to her day, with so many wonderful and on-trend details. This wedding is a great example of how to have seasonal details incorporated into your day in a way that is both classy and unique. I think you can see that best in their floral choices, the tall branches centerpieces, the succulent cactus favors, and the muted sage green, yellow and blush color palette.

Lauren has a background in event design and coordinating, as well as past experience working with a florist, so when it came to her wedding day, she did had a blast creating a unique vision to represent her and Blair. I love that Lauren’s friends and family came alongside the couple to help make her day unique. Her family baked most of the baked goods in the dessert bar, and one of her bridesmaids did the calligraphy for the menu and welcome window panes. Overall, their day was filled with personal touches, charming details, and loving family and friends. It was such a lovely day and such an honor to be there.

From the Bride… I wanted our wedding to represent both Blair and me through little details. I wanted everything to be personal; for example, our cakes were made by my aunts with some help from bakers I have a relationship with. All of my vendors were people I know through my business so it was like family. Our first look was on the water, where I spent hours playing as a child, just like Blair did too. It was so nice being able to share that moment with him before the wedding. Being able to hug and love on him before our busy day started was amazing.

I was very inspired by my flowers and succulents! I wanted green because it is my favorite color, but I didn’t want green flowers or greenery. Then I saw this gorgeous succulent bouquet online, and I was in love. Previously having worked at a florist (Amanda’s) made the flowers very important to me, and she executed everything exactly how I would have done it myself. There was so much love at our wedding; there were so many tears, hugs, and laughter. It was everything I could have asked for.

Sarasota Wedding from Jordan Weiland Photography

There’s nothing quite like a farm wedding. The whole vibe is just so peaceful and serene, especially when you tie the knot out in the open air like this couple did. They seemed to have gotten everything perfectly perfect. From the real, (as in from Ireland) four leaf clovers to the gorgeous al fresco reception filled with local foods, this vintage inspired day is simply beyond. And to top it all off, Jordan Weiland Photography captured it all so beautifully. See it all right here.

From Jordan Weiland PhotographyMallory and Justin were married at Windsong Farm in Sarasota this October. Their intimate ceremony took place under an old oak tree with guests seated on carved wooden benches and a lantern release during the nuptials. Their southern, vintage, open-air reception was full of wooden signs, beautiful centerpiece details, honey bee candles, bird cages, market lights and a giant chandelier over the head table. Instead of a traditional cake, this couple had Amish pies from a famous Sarasota restaurant, Yoder’s. The gorgeous flowers had four-leaf clovers incorporated into them from the bride’s grandmother’s plant, which comes from Irish soil.

Vero Beach Hotel & Spa Wedding from Captured Photography by Jenny

If you ask me, jetting off to Florida with your nearest and dearest sounds like the perfect way to say “I Do” and for this well-traveled duo it was everything they imagined it would be (and MORE) with bundles of drop-gorgeous florals from Pink Pelican, a stunning seaside ceremony at the Vero Beach Hotel & Spa and an entire weekend to celebrate with their closest family and friends.  A three day extravaganza snapped up by Captured Photography by Jenny?  That’s a wedding we most definitely want to be at. Join us in the full gallery for a total swoon fest.

From the Bride… We both moved a lot growing up and have lived all around the country. We chose to have a destination wedding because traveling seemed to make sense for our big celebration. We wanted our friends and family to feel like they were on vacation — to enjoy a full weekend of sunny revelry and relaxation. Vero Beach is naturally beautiful and easy-going, and the Vero Beach Hotel is both luxurious and friendly. The style of the wedding was sleek and contemporary, and decorations were simple in order to augment the natural surroundings. The focus was good food, drink, music, friends and, of course, love.

Big Island Wedding from Beth Helmstetter Events + Steve Steinhardt

We can spot a Beth Helmstetter celebration from a mile away. A little bit because we’ve been semi-stalkers of hers for a while now and tend to love everything that her group touches, but mostly because of the simply beauty behind every last detail. The way that she seemlessly integrates the most beautiful colors, textures and moments into the backdrop of the space so it seems as if they’ve been there forever and ever. So when we spotted this beauty, photographed by the talented Steve Steinhardt with stunning blooms by Holly Flora, we knew it was one we could gush over with ease. Oh and we’ve included the rehearsal dinner below too because while perfectly laideback and lovely, it is fab enough to be a wedding in and of itself! Click here to see even more.

From Kristin of Beth Helmstetter Events… We just love our Texas brides! You might be surprised to know that while based in California, we actually work with a lot of couples from the Lone Star State and we love them. Something about our attention to the tiniest of details while still producing luxurious celebrations draws them to our aesthetic and we couldn’t be happier! Tara was no exception to this. She was oh so sophisticated, discerning and had an eye for the finest touches. We had the pleasure of working with her and Kurt on their amazing Big Island wedding weekend last November and it is definitely one of our favorite destination wedding weekends to date.

Before we let you off to dive into the galleries, we thought you guys might also be interested in the absolutely gorgeous rehearsal dinner that Beth Helmstetter Events put together for the couple. In our opinion, it was wedding worthy from soup to nuts and perfect inspiration for rehearsal dinners and grand celebrations alike.

From Kristin of Beth Helmstetter Events… First up, we want to share their Aloha Party which took place in form of a Beach BBQ. Guests came, kicked off their shoes and feasted on a fusion of Hawaiian, Texas and Louisiana (the Groom’s stomping grounds) style BBQ. We had a full luau show with guests lounging right in the sand on Hawaiian quilts while drinking Mango Margaritas and Mai Tais. My favorite is that sunset…only in Hawaii will you find colors like that in nature! 85 of their closest family and friends traveled from Houston to Kona and shacked up at the Four Seasons Hualalai for a wedding weekend they will not soon forget.

Ponte Vedra Inn & Club Wedding from Agnes Lopez Photography

If you’ve been following SMP for awhile, then you know that we are big fans of Agnes Lopez Photography.  Big, big fans.  The kind of fans that literally jump for joy whenever we see her name pop up on our computer screens – which is precisely what we did when we first spotted this beautiful Ponte Vedra Beach wedding.  Because, really, who could resist this gorgeous bride and groom, the oh-so-heartwarming details (see: the bride’s gown + reception dress) and a Krispy Kreme nightcap?  Not us. See so much more in the full gallery.

From Agnes Lopez PhotographyShannon and John were married in an afternoon ceremony at Christ Episcopal Church in Ponte Vedra Beach. They had such a beautiful wedding filled with so many personal and fun details. Shannon’s wedding gown had the buttons from her grandmother’s wedding gown, and for her reception she changed into a party dress made from her mother’s wedding dress. The open air reception at Ponte Vedra Inn & Club’s Surf Club ended with a visit from the Krispy Kreme man delivering hot doughnuts and the most harrowing beach exit I’ve seen to date!

New Smyrna Beach Engagement from Laura Yang Photography

When Laura Yang Photography described this magical Smyrna Beach engagement session as a literal “heaven,” I knew I was about to fall madly in love.  Head over heels style.  Because there are few things in the world I adore more than a day spent at the beach and when you add in a devastatingly gorgeous sunset and the happiness that only soon-to-be-married cuties can bring, I adore it even more. Lucky for me (and you), she captured every last moment between these two sweethearts and they are brightening our day more than any sun-filled beach could.  Click here for more.

From Laura Yang PhotographyAt this engagement session, it was as if heaven opened up and we stepped inside. Everything about this day, from the pristine landscape to the gorgeous color palette and the head-over-heels couple, was absolutely perfect.

Backyard Lake City Wedding from Jen Shannon Photography

If Father of the Bride taught me anything, it’s that backyard weddings are awesome.  Well, that and thick headbands were the must-have accessory of 1991.  (Totally.)  And since the day I purchased my $4.25 ticket to what would become one of my all-time favorite movies, backyard weddings never fail to make me weak in the knees.  Needless to say, when I first laid eyes on this Lake City gem captured by Jen Shannon Photography, I got a little excited.  Excited for the colorful hues, fab stylings of Francis Event Design and, of course, the oh-so-perfect backyard location.  It’s two high school sweethearts tying the knot in Annie Banks style and you can see it all right here.

From Jen Shannon Photography… Earlier this year, I had the pleasure of photographing a beautiful love story between two high school sweethearts. They come from a small country town and were on a small budget, but they did a beautiful job with their wedding. Their ceremony and reception took place at the bride’s parents’ house on a beautiful Saturday morning. They had about 30 guests, all close family and friends. The reception was beautifully design by Amy at Francis Event Design. Laurie’s hair and makeup was done by her friend Kate Herndon at Hair Graphics.

Miami Parisian-Inspired Wedding from KT Merry Photography

I knew this was a KT Merry photographed wedding the moment I laid eyes on it. It’s the soft, pretty colors. The dreamy, absurdly beautiful imagery. The general sense of gorgeousness that seems to permeate each and every photograph. It has KT written all over it and I couldn’t be happier that we get to share all of the lovely with you here today. Plus, when you layer on the style genius of Beauty in the Making – with peonies, ranunculus and dusty millers  oh my – and you basically have the recipe for a wedding that is sure to find a place on our favorite weddings ever list. And there is seriously so much more in the gallery right here so be sure to take a look!

From Eileen Morales of Beauty in the Making… “I close my eyes, then I drift away, into the magic night I softly say. A silent prayer, like dreamers do, then I fall asleep to dream my dreams of you.” -Roy Orbison

I knew we were a good match when Monica first sent the images for her wedding inspiration. She chose a pale Paris morning theme for her wedding hosted in Miami Beach. Her dress…antique lace in blush softness embraced the bride, and Miami’s usual bright intensity yielded to a classic feel from times gone by. Watching her as she strolled down the beach I suddenly felt transported to the cool, misty freshness of a Parisian morning. A garden wedding, guests were greeted with chilled herbal infusions while enjoying the ambiance of the hotel’s peaceful courtyard. Green and white roses topped with sea grass decorated the aisle, and a one-of-a-kind Chuppah housed the couple as they shared vows.

The cocktail hour was hosted on the veranda overlooking the ocean and inlet. Guests were treated to one of a kind jazz tunes by the exquisitely talented Lourdes Valentin. A breathtaking adornment herself, she was further exemplified by the beauty of the fountain pedestal she sang from. Guests danced and enjoyed passed hors d’oeuvres until sunset and then were treated to a lovely dinner overlooking the beach. At the reception, centerpieces of pale pink peonies, ranunculus and dusty millers on mercury glass bowls harmonized with candelabras, votives and modern chandeliers in an elegant ambience. We chose to feature Monica’s love for books and literature with bookmark escort cards/favors and antique books from the 1800’s scattered throughout the venue. The table numbers were different chapters with quotes from the bride’s favorite authors. The bride and groom danced under a crystal chandelier, guests rejoiced and the evening was magical.

Bradenton Wedding from Justin DeMutiis Photography

Romance will always be in style, no matter when you get married, so it makes for the perfect wedding inspiration. It’s elegant, timeless and oh-so-chic, and Justin DeMutiis Photography was on hand to capture it all – ultimately filling the gallery with SO much pretty.

From the Bride… We wanted our wedding to be a glamorous take on classic southern vintage: blush florals mixed with gold, crystal and milk glass decor. The overall feeling was romantic and vintage.

Palmetto Riverside Bed and Breakfast Wedding from Concept Photography

Just because the temperature doesn’t dip too low in Florida, doesn’t mean you can’t infuse your fall wedding with hints of autumn. A pumpkin here, a bit o’ hay there, is exactly what this beautiful bride envisioned as she drove up to the adorable Palmetto Riverside Bed and Breakfast. And just like they say, all the details fell into place after that. Concept Photography captured the day to perfection and you can click here for even more.

From the Bride… My goal was to have our wedding be classy and unique but still laid-back and fun. I loved the idea of having some fall elements (the pumpkins, for example), but I didn’t want to overdo that – especially in Florida where we don’t really have a fall season. I had a day-of planner, who was also my florist: Alexis from 2Birds Events. When we first met, we were shooting ideas back and forth, and I got really excited. I knew she got what I was after. I would HIGHLY recommend her!

One of my friends recommended Palmetto Riverside Bed & Breakfast. I looked at a LOT of venues before I found this one. As soon as my mom and I pulled into the venue, I just needed to know where to sign the contract. This was one of the best decisions with the wedding that we made. We had great vendors too. Our caterer, florist/wedding planner, the owners of the B&B, SG Mobile, officiant and, of course, our photographers were absolutely wonderful, and it all flowed so nicely the day of.

As far as my favorite elements of the wedding, I loved our cake stand (from an oak tree) and the branches for the arch. The flowers were unique and beautiful with pops of color, the pumpkins — I could go on and on. We made the entrance sign, the Mr. & Mrs. on the back of the chairs and the favors: my dad’s “secret” oatmeal cookie recipe. Our wedding card holder was a vintage suitcase that Jason altered. One of our good friends, Brad Casanova, designed our wine box for our ceremony.

Orlando Wedding at Cypress Grove Estate House from Ariel Renae Photography

When you love vibrant colors as much as I do (read: a lot), weddings like this beautiful Orlando affair tend to make you happy.  Happy in a way that only bright pops of pink, sunny yellow and aqua blue can. And when you see it all wrapped up in an al fresco affair that is literally overflowing with darling details (including burlap-covered tables, striped straws and streamers), you consider yourself lucky.  Because it means one glorious image after another captured by Ariel Renae Photography and an entire day of sweet swooning time in the full gallery.  Join me there for so much more.

From Ariel Renae Photography… Ashley and Britton wanted their wedding day to feel playful, fun and romantic! They wanted fun colors to pop, surrounded by the gorgeous cypress trees that the Orlando backdrop has to offer. Although it looked like we were going to have to fight the rain for a bit, the skies cleared, and it turned into an extremely gorgeous sunset and evening.

Sarasota Engagement Session from Naomi Chokr Photography

This Michigan couple had enough of snow and cold weather, so they ran away to Florida and had their dreamy, beachy engagement session captured by Naomi Chokr Photography — a perfect idea for chasing those winter chills. If you can’t get enough, don’t worry because there’s plenty more gorgeousness in the gallery!

From Naomi Chokr Photography… Liz describes herself as shy and awkward in front of the camera. She also describes her fiance as camera-shy. This comes as a surprise to anyone that knows them both because Liz and Chris are two very outgoing and funny people. So this engagement session along the gorgeous, powder-soft, white beach of Longboat Key showed another side to their personalities. Both Liz and Chris were very playful during the entire shoot. She owns a local store in town called INfluence, and I was very excited to see what she was going to wear that day. Her dress was gorgeous and perfect for the occasion.

They both wanted to make sure that their engagement session was shot at a beach. Both are originally from Michigan, and they wanted to make sure their save-the-dates to their family and friends get everyone excited about their trip to sunny Florida for their wedding.

Orlando Wedding from Amalie Orrange Photography

We sing the praises of the Sunshine State on a daily basis here at SMP, so it makes perfect sense to us that this adorable duo would choose Orlando for their dreamy destination soiree.  A destination soiree that boasts the sweetest of blooms by Lee Forrest Design and one beautiful image after another by Amalie Orrange Photography.  It’s bright purple hues meets two cuties who were seriously meant to be and you can see it all in the full gallery.

From Amalie Orrange Photography Sometimes the one that you are meant to be with can be right next to you for years without you even knowing it. This was the case with Sarah and Dave. Dave, together with his brother, owned a restaurant, and Sarah, while attending college, worked at this establishment. For the next two and a half years, she worked there for the man that she would eventually marry. The irony of this is that it took Sarah leaving the restaurant to pursue her career for Dave to finally be able to ask her out. Maybe for Dave, the girl of his dreams leaving his restaurant was the best thing that could have happened to him. When Sarah came to pick up her last check, this time not as an employee but as a friend, Dave asked her out. Thankfully she said yes, and so the story goes. But this story doesn’t end with the couple riding off into the warm Florida sunset; this is where it begins.

Sarah told me that she found one of my recent weddings on Style Me Pretty and liked my work. I’m so thankful that she did. Sarah got in touch with me, and with her sweet, warm voice told me that she, Dave and 18 of their close friends and family were going to escape the cold Michigan weather and come to Florida for their destination wedding. These two were amazingly nice, kind and totally in love, some very good qualities if you ask me. Their wedding was at the Grand Bohemian Orlando, on the rooftop, with a ceremony lit by candles. Beauty abounded and as a photographer, I love that. They opted for a first look, and with that, we wandered my beautiful city, and I believe that we captured the emotion and feel that these two so deserve. I’m so thankful I met these two, and I’m so thankful for people like them coming into my life.

I’m head-over-heels for the rich jewel tones and bold pops of color in this Fort Lauderdale Historical Society stunner from Dillon Photo! From Dillon PhotoAja and Danny were married in downtown Fort Lauderdale’s Riverwalk district at the beautiful Historical Society. The outdoor venue was the perfect spot for the fall-inspired color palette and pretty reception details that reflected the couple’s love of travel and adventure. One of our favorite moments from the ceremony was when Aja and Danny sealed a bottle of their favorite wine, along with notes to each other, in a carved wooden box to be opened on their first wedding anniversary. We also loved their beautiful cake adorned with pretty ribbons and flowers, as well as the romantic string lighting over the dining area. Everything came together just beautifully, and as you can see from the photos, the day was gorgeous!

Jewfish Key Wedding from Sophan Theam Photography

They say when you find the one, you just know.  And, yes, I am talking about the dress.  THE dress you’ll wear to marry the love of your life on one of the most important days you’ll ever have.  And for this drop-dead gorgeous (+ amazingly beautiful) bride, it wasn’t the dress she expected to fall for, but this White by Vera Wang gown was most definitely made for her AND for her intimate seaside affair with her dashing beau.  Together they make one VERY stunning duo… and the images of the day captured by Sophan Theam Photography?  Serious eye candy.   See them all here.

From the Bride… Let’s just say I had no idea what I was doing — but I knew we couldn’t spend a ton of money on our wedding. I had no idea what I wanted, but I surely could tell you what I didn’t want. I knew that I wanted it to be different. Not different like “that’s weird,” but different like “I should’ve thought of that.” Regular wedding chairs were unacceptable. Suits, unacceptable. A white dress — who does that!? We both wanted an outdoor wedding. As opposed to buying decorations, it seemed logical to go to a place where we could take advantage of nature’s beauty. And the wedding had to be SUPER small. Neither of us wanted the attention of 200 or so people on our day. We wanted our families to really get to know each other. So, needless to say, we went from having our wedding on a mountain top, to under a waterfall, to near a lighthouse, and then on a beach — but we never imagined a private beach.

I knew that the two most important things to me were my dress and the pictures. We could’ve eaten at Waffle House for all I cared. So I knew where I could slash the budget and where I was going to splurge. I created all of my paper items. I am a total DIY freak, and that stuff was right up my alley. My programs, wedding invitations and menus were all inspired by items I saw online. Let me say, I NEVER wanted a princess-style dress. Not me! No how! I went on my first trip for a dress and tried on every trumpet and mermaid-style dress the store had. I hated them! Someone suggested that I try on another style, and it just so happened to be this dress in blush. I was floored. After that, my entire wedding centered around THAT dress. I have to admit, originally I was in denial (and a little upset) that I even liked it — I had my heart set on a mermaid dress at the time.

The wedding day did NOT turn out exactly the way I wanted it. I was surprised at the level of chaos and confusion that occurred (even when there were only 14 people there!). However, the ceremony went off without a hitch. Both of us “wrote” (really, made-up on the spot) our own vows, and it was over WAY too fast. The reception took place on the beach as well. It was nice to have everyone seated at the table by the beach — the atmosphere was exactly what we wanted. All in all, I am happy with the way it went. Our families had a great time, we didn’t break the bank, my dress hit the spot, and the pictures are gorgeous! I couldn’t ask for more.
