Florida Wedding at Hammock Beach Resort from Liga Photography

Liga Photography is filling our screens with a seriously gorgeous Florida fête today, and for that, I couldn’t be more grateful. Because if there was ever a way to get your work week of to the prettiest of starts, it would be soaking up every last lovely image in this gallery. Elegant, classic, filled to the brim with love – I don’t think it gets much better. See it all here.

From Abby LigaSometimes there are moments in life where you just know that it feels right. When meeting and working with Kristin and Jonathan, that “right” was something I felt between them immediately. I love being able to feel that with my couples. There’s a sense of purity and honor that Kristin and Jonathan share between each other, and it’s quite easy to see it. Their wedding took place at the luxurious Hammock Beach Resort, perfectly nestled right on the coast of the Atlantic here in Florida. From Kristin’s classic beige leather Louboutins and pale pink bridesmaids dresses, to ivory flowers and muted gray linens, keeping it natural was the name of the game. Lisa Stoner of E-Events and Botanica did one fantastic job of setting the intimate tone of the day with design and floral. It was truly an honor to be the one to document their wedding. Thank you to the lovely Kristin and Jonathan for being such wonderful people and subjects.

Elegant St. Augustine Wedding at the OC White Room from Anna K Photography

I’ve only ever visited the pretty little city of St. Augustine once in my lifetime, but that’s pretty much all it took to become seriously smitten.  It’s the kind of place where time stands still and classic meets romantic weddings go to be celebrated.  Weddings like this darling affair from Anna Shackleford, a stunning soiree with bundles of beautiful blooms from The Conservatorie, a rainbow palette of pastels and a breathtaking White Room setting.  Prepare to get your pretty on and join me in the gallery for sooo much more.

From Anna K. PhotographyImmediately following college Mary-Kate and Nick moved to Historical St. Augustine, Florida and fell completely in love. Nick works for the School for the Deaf and the Blind and Mary-Kate works in an art gallery nestled in the historic district. Their wedding day was filled with ethereal touches that seemed to just glow. The pastel colors, along with the gorgeous oak trees and the bright Florida sun truly set the tone for the day when they first saw each other on the campus of the School for the Deaf and Blind. Immediately following their ceremony everyone loaded up onto trolley’s and headed for the White Room located in the heart of the historical district, right next to the well known Fort.

Grayton Beach Wedding from Churchill’s Photography

I love mini destination weddings.  You know the ones.  Those drop-dead gorgeous weddings where you and your honey (+ closest friends and family) venture off to a breathtaking paradise close to your hometown?  It’s a crazy wonderful way to celebrate and this fun-filled Grayton Beach State Park affair is a shining example with its vibrant hues, seaside nuptials and one stunning moment after another captured beautifully by Churchill’s Photography.  See them all in the full gallery.

From the Bride… We wanted a small wedding with a focus on making it a fun experience for everyone involved, while allowing us to spend time with 35 of our closest friends and family.  We didn’t want the destination to be far enough away to exclude anyone, but we did want a stunning backdrop, so we chose the always-beautiful Florida gulf coast, which was close enough to our home in metro Atlanta for folks to make the drive.

Our family stayed at the bed and breakfast where the reception was hosted, and our friends rented two big beach houses nearby.  The day of the wedding, we split the houses up, boys in one and girls in the other, while getting ready.  Since we had the ceremony at a state park, we and our guests took turns throughout the day staking out our spot on the beach.  Starting the morning on a quiet beach with my maid of honor gave me some time to relax and take in everything that was taking place!

Getting married an hour before sunset with our toes in the beautiful white sand was an incredible experience.  After the ceremony, we headed to the backyard area of the Hibiscus, where our guests were already having a great time.  My bridesmaids and I had worked on lots of little crafty elements to add a personal touch.  We had a homemade photo booth setup where people could take fun pictures with props like chalkboard speech bubbles or empty picture frames that were hung from the trees.  Dinner featured one of my favorite things about the coast: seafood!  The whole event positively flew by, but we were able to spend time with everyone, and many of our guests told us it was the most fun they’ve ever had at a wedding.

From Churchill’s Photography… It was such a huge honor for us to photograph Amanda and Brad’s wedding!  They got married in one of the most beautiful spots in the country, Florida’s Gulf Coast, and Amanda put so much care and thought into her wedding. Many of the details such as the invitations, signs, and decorations were all DIY by Amanda.

They decided to do a First Look so we found a secluded spot in the gardens at Watercolors, a resort town not far from their ceremony location.  They were so sweet together and we had a great time taking photos around the gardens and boat house.  And of course the white sand beaches of the gulf coast made for the perfect ceremony and post ceremony photos.  The reception was at a beautiful and cozy little bed and breakfast where the mood was perfect with twinkling lights in the trees and music playing softly in the background. It was a wedding where we definitely felt like we were more on vacation than working!

From Annie… Sarah and Jonathan’s wedding was one of the hottest of the summer…110 degrees! Despite the Florida Sunshine, they waltzed through their day full of enthusiasm and passion for one another. Sarah, an interior designer selected a lovely venue for their wedding and reception and created a plethora of home-made details that personalized their day.

From sweet accessories to charming signs handcrafted from the groom’s relative’s barn, from dried lavender to a variety of wild flowers, from heirloom pieces to thrifted plates- Sarah and Jonathan’s day was perfect. Their love and personalities were evident to all who attended. [dotted]

Florida Keys Wedding from Clau Photography

The Florida Keys are a magical place; a sort of “time stands still” paradise made for marrying.  It’s the kind of paradise where laid-back elegance and breathtaking backdrops reign supreme… and where darling duos such as these two sweeties tie the knot surrounded by lush blooms from Vivian Colls, a whole lot of happiness and light, airy hues.  See it all captured by Clau Photography right here.

From the Bride… Since our wedding was going to take place in the Florida Keys I wanted to make sure to use bright summer colors and materials that would be light and airy so that people wouldn’t get hot. Also there is a Polish tradition to have the bridesmaids wear dresses in a color that is close to white so that bad spirits get confused and distracted from the bride! The decoration was inspired by Pinterest and Etsy and I fell I love with the rustic burlap, lace plus a laid back beach theme, so I combined them. For flowers, we went for a natural Miami look: Creme de la creme roses, white mini calla lilies, white hydrangeas, blush chablis spray roses, Dusty Miller, silver dollar eucalyptus and cream hypericum berries.

South Florida Yacht Club Wedding from Alexi Shields Photography

This wedding is a fashion power house.  A stunning Monique Lhuillier gown meets dapper men in bow ties kind of powerhouse that takes everything you think you know about glamorous weddings and kicks it up a notch with some of the most beautiful details you have ever seen.  I guess that’s what happens when an amazing team of vendors (think Boca by Design, Momental Designs and Alexi Shields Photography) come together to create a dream yacht club wedding.  It’s all kinds of amazing.  Click here for all of the pretty.

From the Bride… Our South Florida wedding was an intimate affair at the Boca Raton Resort and Club. All guests, except my mother, flew in from out of town. The resort was the perfect choice for our guests, who once arrived never had to leave, and for my husband and I, who were planning the wedding first from Charlotte, North Carolina and later New York City.

I absolutely love the Spanish style of the Boca Raton Resort. Our décor, from the mahogany Chiavari chairs, the hand-painted tile place cards, and the wrought iron candelabras, reflected this style. One of my favorite design elements that embodied the Spanish aesthetic was the chandeliers that hung from the arch during the ceremony. Because I could not get enough of them, these same chandeliers were later hung above the family tables during the reception. Another important aspect I considered throughout the planning process was the color of my wedding dress. Because I was not wearing white it was very important to me to still feel like a bride. The blush color scheme throughout the ceremony and reception paired with my blush dress, veil, shoes, and bouquet truly exceeded my expectations of what a bride should feel on her wedding day!

Looking back, I am so thankful that we decided to keep our wedding intimate because of the amount of quality time we were able to spend with family and friends. I am also thankful for our photographers, Alexi and Shane, who beautifully captured all of the memories that were made. I cannot help but smile every time I look at our photographs, which is still almost daily (I just can’t get enough!). Knowing the love and joy that was shared between my husband and I leading up to our wedding day and on that day excites me and reassures me that our next steps in life will be filled with equally as much or more love and joy!

From the Bride…From the moment Ben and I met we had an instant connection. We grew to be best friends and found it impossible to be apart. After a year of being friends, we had fallen head over heels for each other, and decided to turn our friendship into something more. We quickly realized that we could not live without each other and that we wanted to spend an eternity together! Immediately after he proposed, I embarked on the journey of wedding planning. I was really inspired by lace details and soft, romantic color palates. I knew that I wanted a timeless and elegant wedding with vintage touches. Our advice would be to take your time and enjoy the wedding planning process. If you do decide to have a wedding planner, make sure you are making a good investment. We were lucky to be able to work with Jill la Fleur, which was such a delight. Also, keep in mind that the day is probably going to go by really fast. It is important to make sure you have a photographer and videographer whose work you love, to capture all the details of the wedding. But most importantly, just relax and enjoy the day!

Central Florida Southern Wedding from Kt Crabb Photography

This sweet fête reads like the most darling of southern fairytales – complete with a dashing prince and a charming southern princess. It’s a little bit country, with a side of style, and filled to the brim with the prettiest blooms you ever did see. It’s all made even better because we get to see it all unfold through the gorgeous images from Kt Crabb Photography, and they are all sitting pretty right here.

From Kt Crabb PhotographyHeather and Alex were married at a local church and continued the celebration at Heather’s grandparent’s lake house. It was a sweet southern affair complete with sweet tea and honey. Loved her dress with sleeves, the ring bearer’s pink bow tie and the delicious cupcakes.

It’s a story of a small town Florida gal who met a sweet southern gentleman from North Caroline. They started out as friends, but everyone could tell there was something more to their friendship. Their sweet story continued as Alex proposed to Heather during sunset on the west coast of Florida. As they entered into the planning stage, they knew there was no better way to honor their roots than to celebration at Heather’s grandparent’s lake house. It was a true southern affair complete with sweet tea and honey.
From the Bride… The inspiration for our wedding was a country, vintage style. We had BBQ, lawn games, and lots of sweet tea! We also incorporated a lot of burlap and lace. We wanted to have a laid back and fun atmosphere. ‘
I found my wedding dress by looking all over Pinterest. I fell in love with a lace dress and did some research and found out that the dress was from The Perfect Dress in Utah. They shipped me the dress, and a sweet friend of my family helped alter the neckline. My grandma then helped make the dress perfect by adding some final touches.

One of my favorite details of our wedding day was all the beautiful flower arrangements. We had roses, garden roses, baby’s breath, carnations, and peonies. Each arrangement was displayed in a variety of different vases such as milk glass, large mason jars, tea cups, and antiqued tin cans. All of this was designed by special friends who volunteered their time.

One of our favorite memories of our wedding day was being surrounded by family and friends. We had so many family members and friends come together to help make our wedding day so special. It was overwhelming how much help we had during the months leading up to the wedding and on our wedding day. They helped make our day everything we dreamed of and more!

Flamingo Gardens Wedding from Melanie Gabrielle Photography

A wedding filled with this much heart is a sure-fire way to make me break out the awwws. And when that wedding was captured this beautifully (thanks to Melanie Gabrielle Photography), it basically guarantees one fabulous start to my day. From the pretty palette to the sweet details planned by Simply Couture Weddings and all the special moments in between – this is just a peak at all the pretty, there is so much more sitting right here.

From Melanie Gabrielle PhotographyJosh and Bailey are the sweetest couple. Their wedding was planned and coordinated by Teresa of Simply Couture Weddings, and she did a fabulous job! They had a very unique, southern wedding full of so many details!! Bailey had her mother’s veil altered to wear on her wedding day with a gorgeous Lazaro gown. Janette Vega did the wedding party’s makeup, and Ashley Davis and Angie Bascietto did an amazing job on these beautiful girls’ hair.

Josh proposed to Bailey after a hot air balloon ride he took her on for her birthday, so of course they had to incorporate hot air balloons into their special day! Bailey’s bridesmaids helped pitch in to bake all of her delicious desserts for her dessert table. The pie and hot air balloon cookies were made by the photographer as a gift to the bride. Publix made the delicious cake and all those yummy cupcakes! Old Florida Catering provided the BBQ dinner. Love Bug Productions provided video, Gerilyn Gianna Events provided the wedding party’s bouquets and boutonnieres. All other flowers were provided by Simply Couture Weddings. Hay bales for “mocktail” hour were provided by Griffs Western. Dino DiArtist did a spectacular job providing caricatures to all of Josh and Bailey’s wedding guests! Bailey’s family made most of the details for the ceremony and reception: games, centerpieces, lights, photobooth and accessories, wooden directional signs, cupcake stands, seating chart, etc. Their venue was so unique! Flamingo Gardens is a botanical garden and wildlife refuge. It was peacock mating season at the gardens, so if you look close enough, you can see the territorial peacocks attacking the guitars behind the ceremony site.

Bailey’s dad is a Southern Baptist Pastor, and one of the most special and unique details of the day was the foot-washing ceremony. Mr. Doolin handmade the foot-washing bowl. He gave a short sermon on why they chose to do a foot-washing ceremony. A few of the groomsmen played guitar and sang old hymns (Come Thou Fount and Be Thou My Vision) while the bride and groom’s mothers poured the water into the bowl. The bride and groom then washed each other’s feet to symbolize the servanthood that Jesus showed to his Disciples. It was a gorgeous ceremony.

Vineyard Inspired Photo Shoot from Tod Thompson Photography

Vineyard weddings are the epitome of romance; a magical setting with rolling landscapes oh-so-perfect for marrying.  So when Tod Thompson Photography stumbled upon the breathtaking Lakeridge Winery & Vineyard, setting up a drop-dead gorgeous inspiration shoot with some of Florida’s finest vendors was, well… sort of a no-brainer.  From the lush florals from Bluegrass Chic and Peplum Events & Design to the fab stylings of Save the Date Wedding & Event Design to paper goods that simply scream chic from Dogwood Blossom Stationery, it’s a non-stop day of lovely.  See it all in the full gallery.

[iframe http://player.vimeo.com/video/58157032 601 338]

From Tod Thompson Photography… After visiting what I think is one of the more unique places in central Florida, I knew that Lakeridge Winery would be just the place for my inspiration photo shoot. After all, it’s not common place for there to be a vineyard in Florida! It sits on a quiet hillside in the beautiful city of Clermont overlooking its rolling hills of grape vines. They have daily wine tastings and frequent festivals there so if you’re in the area make sure to stop by and have a look! I have been lucky enough to work with some amazing professionals for this shoot that helped to put all of the pieces together to make this shoot as amazing as I had envisioned it to be… a breath of elegant and rustic Tuscany.

After months of planning our rustic elegance inspiration shoot at a real Florida vineyard, it all came to life. The simple details of this vineyard shoot made it so easy to feel like you were transported somewhere else in the world. From the leafless, dormant and rustic looking grape vines since we were shooting in January, to the two separate concept tables one having an elegant feel and the other a rustic feel. The small wine bottles, french bread loaves and grapes draping the elegant plum colored floral centerpieces pulled it together. The bark and moss pots for the rustic table were filled with cabbage, white roses, ferns and artichokes. Decorative books and vintage cigar boxes used by one of our florists father made things feel truly unique and personal.

Old whiskey barrels supplied by the vineyard were used as a cake table and escort card table with wine corks as holders. They also doubled as an altar that went along beautifully with the old church pews.  You can’t have a vineyard wedding without a real vintage barrel right? The gorgeous invitations and stationary pulled together the entire look. We really wanted to show off the hand made and stained tables and show how versatile one piece can really be by giving it two very different looks.

Lastly, as if you can never have enough details, the cakes were inspired from the ever popular trend of Ombre in complimentary shades of purple with added details such as ruffles, ribbon and edible pearls. Their placement under a vintage crystal chandelier made them stand out all on their own. We had the honor of using two gorgeous bridal gowns for the day. The shoes had added clip on flowers and the groom purchased his own attire at Men’s Wearhouse. All of the purples, golds, creams and different shades of green used throughout the tables were perfect for a vineyard affair.

From the Bride…Just a little background: we met through Chris’s groomsman Tyler who introduced us at Reinhardt my first week of college. We stayed friends for a while because I was dating someone else at the time. But by the time that ended and we decided to finally try and go on our official first date, we both just knew we would be together forever. He took me to Turner Field for my first ever baseball game! We have been together for four years now and visit Disney together at least once a year because we just love it so much! Our inspiration for the wedding came from our one of our trips to Disney. It was my first time staying at the Boardwalk Villas and I instantly fell in love with the area. I knew that if we decided to go the Disney route for the wedding I wanted to get married there. We love Disney but we also wanted something that felt like us. A retro boardwalk theme really clicked with us for the wedding.

I was excited to plan our wedding since I currently work at the Hilton Marietta Hotel as their Business Development Manager working with brides on their rehearsal dinners/ showers and small weddings, so the planning process was really exciting for me. Chris had a BIG part in the planning process as well. He got to put his Graphic Design degree to the test! He designed all of our stationary using Photoshop. We uploaded his designs into vistaprint and ordered everything from them. He designed the invites, brochure we included in our welcome baskets, our programs, and logo stickers, and we also made personalized menus for our welcome dinner we had the night before the wedding. We rented the guys outfits from Savvi. My dress was designed by Martina Liana and I purchased it in Roswell, Georgia at A Formal Affair. We purchased the girls’ dresses there as well.  The girls jewelry is Ralph Lauren. My sash was purchased from Glamour House on Etsy. Our shoes were Toms. The guys had Bass sneakers & the dads had Sperry lace ups.

Our floral was done by Disney and so was the food. The violinist at our ceremony was provided by them as well. I worked closely with Rosie our florist. We used a lot of pink Peony, white hydrangea, and white and pink roses to accomplish the look we wanted. We also incorporated old Coke bottles and mason jars as our centerpieces at the reception. To tie in the boardwalk theme we gave guests cinnamon toast popcorn at the ceremony provided by Chris’s brother Andy and his wife Jennifer who have their own business, Cartwright’s Popcorn. We also gave our guests welcome baskets that included vintage Coke bottles, salt water taffy, and pretzels to keep the theme going. Our hair and makeup team came from M3. Our videographer was from Reminisce Productions. Our cake was gluten free and dairy free from Babycakes in Downtown Disney because I have severe allergies to both gluten and dairy.

Wakulla Springs Wedding from Whitney Fletcher Photography

Warm and inviting with the perfect splash of style, this Wakulla Springs weddings snapped up by Whitney Fletcher Photography is simply a smile-inducing pretty fest. What makes it even better is that it’s as personality-packed as it is pretty, and that’s a recipe for wedding perfection in my book. A blue grass band and sweet DIYs made sure every moment was memorable, and you can see them all right here.

From Whitney Fletcher PhotographyPaper cranes as far as you could see dangled over each reception table and guest were also surrounded by white lights and candlelight.  A bluegrass band played while guest ate and mingled.   Guest were able to look at the Bride and Groom’s start in pictures hanging from the walls, warm up by the fire under the oaks, or enjoy the river view.  Stunning wedding!

Winter Park Wedding from Kristen Weaver Photography

Soft peach and coral hues, the pretties touches of lace, loads of southern charm – this Florida fête from Kristen Weaver Photography is overflowing with details that have me head over heels in love. Sprinkle in the gorgeous florals from Lee Forrest Design, and it simply doesn’t get lovelier. Except, of course, when you factor in the breathtaking Bride and her dashing Groom…and that’s when we enter stunning territory. See it all here.

From Kristen Weaver Photography…Emily and Joey are the epitome of Southern charm in every sense of the word! Their wedding was a mix of lace, soft peach and pops of coral. Emily chose all prepster-staple JCrew jewelry to compliment her Jim Hjelm gown, and gifted the bridesmaids stunning Kate Spade earrings with a peach center stone. Hand-crafted stationary made the bridesmaids cards and escort cards. But the highlight was her stunning bouquet, made by Lee Forrest, that mixed beautiful roses, garden roses, peonies and dusty miller to create the centerpiece of this Southern event! The ceremony took place outside the historic Casa Feliz home in Winter Park, and their reception was set up in the courtyard under market lights and centerpieces in vintage vases.

St. Augustine Wedding from Kristen Weaver Photography

Give me a wedding that’s all parts sweet and southern, and I’ll give you one happy little blogger. So this St. Augustine affair? It’s sooo up my alley. With dash of darling and loads of charm, I’d go as far as to say it’s downright impossible not to love every image snapped up by Kristen Weaver Photography. Don’t believe me? Just spend some time swooning over this sweet-as-they-come gallery of images, you’ll be in love in no time. See it all here.

From Kristen Weaver PhotographySouthern and sweet, Amanda and Brad’s military wedding took place in the oldest city in Florida. I’m a huge fan of the White Room, a rustic loft-styled space with a rooftop ceremony venue overlooking amazing views of the water and bridge! Amanda choose a palette of mint and peach for her bridesmaids – using J.Crew bridesmaids gowns with chunky peach jewelry. The men wore dress blues, and although the Best Man was in-absentia (due to his tour of duty), he made a video-appearance for his speech and was toasted by all with his favorite – Dr. Pepper! The evening ended with sweet macaroons for the guests and a saber-cake-cutting.

Boho Chic Inspired Photo Shoot from Kate’s Captures Photography + Kiley A. Bolster

It’s hard to imagine the wedding world without the bohemian bride; that uber-chic lady who isn’t afraid to let her hair down and who yearns to go barefoot in the sand… and rock some perfectly imperfect florals on her trip down the aisle.  I love those brides, and I love it when I get to spend my day soaking in all of the inspiration a boho chic affair can bring.  Inspiration like this beautiful photo shoot from the oh-so-talented Kiley A. Bolster and Kate’s Captures Photography; a shoot literally bursting with laid-back meets elegant goodness every step of the way.  From the crazy gorgeous vintage pieces from Hemstitch Vintage Rentals to that stunning gown from Ruthy’s Creations to a pug who knows a thing or two about some serious cuteness, it’s the perfect way to start our Monday morning.  Join me in the gallery for so much more.

From Kate’s Captures PhotographyThe simple, ethereal elegance of a hardwood deck along a natural waterfront landscape is inspiring in its beauty and perfection at sunset. For this Old Florida Boho Chic Shoot created by Kiley A. Bolster, a pretty little barefoot gypsy bride perched on vintage furniture, nibbled on unfussy cakes and played with an adorable pug puppy while the Gulf of Mexico gleamed in the background.

From Kiley A. BolsterThe inspiration for this shoot came from a want to highlight the natural beauty of the event space. I pitched the idea to Kate Willmann of Kate’s Captures Photography and Angela Haley of Hemstitch Vintage Rentals, who each added personal touches to the design to bring my vision of a barefoot “boho” bride simply lounging around in the afternoon sun on her “wedding day” to life. We could not have dreamed up a more perfectly natural bride than Valerie Matthews Bolster and after everything was said and done- we are all thrilled with the photographs!

Siesta Key Engagement Shoot from Concept Photography

Sun-lit engagement sessions sit high on the list of things I love. Close to the tippy top. And how could you possibly blame me? When you take something so incredibly adorable (engagement sessions) and fill them with the most gorgeous light? That’s my definition of perfection. And when we can to see it all unfold through the lens of  Concept Photography? It simply doesn’t get better. See it all here.

From Concept Photography… We shot Vivian + Scott’s engagement photos on the beach in Seista Key on May 9th, 2013. Not only were they a GORGEOUS couple, but their outfits were adorable and they brought some awesome props. Hope you enjoy the pics as much as we do.[dotted]

Grayton Beach Wedding from Ashley Victoria Photography

We are in the middle of quite the heat wave, so I find myself looking for any excuse to virtually escape to a gorgeous coastline at all times. Well, today I found the prettiest way to dream of sandy shores and sweet salt air, and it’s all thanks to this beach beauty Ashley Victoria Photography sent our way. It simply doesn’t get prettier. The palette, the place, the reception perfection – it’s one fine way to virtually escape your day, and you can do so right here.

From Ashley Victoria PhotographyPam & Bill & their closest family & friends traveled from Pennsylvania all the way to our gorgeous Emerald Coast to be married at Grayton Beach State Park with a Reception to follow at the Villa Rosa House in Santa Rosa Beach, FL. Their coordinator Ansley, along with Hemsitch Vintage Rentals & Bella Flora really made Pam’s romantic garden vision come to life with farmhouse style tables, mismatched china, silver ware, lanterns, vases & chairs, elegant chandeliers, and fluffy, colorful florals. Pam & Bill have a thing for visiting state parks, so in addition to saying their vows on Grayton Beach State Park’s pristine shoreline, a few days before their wedding, we shot a pre-wedding bridal session (complete with a First Look!) at the beautiful Eden Gardens State Park. They are such an unbelievably sweet and down to earth couple. Their wedding was a beautiful & perfect day with what’s most important to them: family!

City Hall

From MerariThere’s something so romantic about elopements. I’d been wanting to do an inspiration session for one for a while and was blessed to have the opportunity to work with the cutest couple for it. Yesica, the bride, is a vintage-loving, diy blogger who loved the idea and started brainstorming with me. We decided to do a city hall ceremony and walk around the city for some portrait fun.

Miami is normally known for glitz and glam but it’s also a city filled with subtle history, beautiful sunlight and a laid-back attitude. Yesica, Andrew and I wanted to tell a story of a couple madly in love, having an intimate, romantic city hall elopement and exploring little nooks of their beloved city. We wanted to give future South Florida brides and grooms some inspiration for a diy, road-less-traveled kind of wedding.

Everything was done with a budget-conscious bride in mind with simple, yet elegant diy touches. Sissi, the hairstylist did a fantastic job giving Yesica a loose fishtail braid, to keep that Miami humidity frizz under control and a touch of color on the lips. It’s so romantic and sweet! The flowers were bought the morning of at a local Winn Dixie and were put together by Yesica as well as the design for the announcement cards.
