Fall Hard for this Fall Fete

I have always thought that Fall was the most romantic season to tie the knot. The colors, the textures, the cozy factor that seems to find its way into every last detail. But I sort of think that this absolutely adorable couple would have been just as adorable across any season, any setting - sprinkling little tidbits of pure romance throughout their entire day...from beginning to the beautiful end. From Amalie Orrange Photography...Kevin and Melissa were married in October at the beautiful Casa Feliz historic home in Winter Park. With fall shades of cranberry and wine and fun pumpkin details they had a gorgeous outdoor ceremony with 50 of their closest friends and family.

Kevin and Melissa met when they were working in neighboring research labs in Pittsburgh, PA. They actually went to the same high school but never met until a few years after high school. Kevin proposed to Melissa on the beach in Ft. Lauderdale, FL the weekend that she graduated from physician assistant school.

Kevin and Melissa said what inspired their vision for their wedding was that they both grew up in the northeast and fall is their favorite season. Fall vibes is really what inspired Melissa's vision since we don't get a whole lot of seasonal change in Florida, she really wanted to bring a fall feel to their wedding through our colors and decor. Melissa's favorite design element of their wedding was the pumpkins! They liked being able to take a traditional symbol of the fall season and put an elegant twist on them by using white pumpkins in their table decor and gold ones for place card holders. Their wedding programs and wooden initials were DIY.

Melissa and Kevin were so happy to have done a first look. And Melissa's favorite moment was just before Kevin turned around to see her. She said "I was standing behind him and I could tell he was really excited. I just wanted that moment to last forever! We decided to see each other before the ceremony because we wanted a private moment to take it all in together. Also, my most memorable moment of the day was our private last dance. We did a last dance with our guests and then after our guests left we did one last dance alone on the dance floor. The whole evening was such a whirlwind so it was so nice to take two minutes alone just the two of us!"
