A Floral-Filled Vision Set on Lake Como at Villa Regina Teodolinda

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]Burnt Umber, Pink, Ochre[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]A floral filled vision set the stage for this stunning, yet classic Lake Como wedding. The couple drew off the colours of the villa’s unique palette, bringing in some pinks to pop against the natural Umber and Ochre of the facade. Guests had an uninterrupted view of Lake Como as the couple said their vows in front of their nearest and dearest. [/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]Frank proposed during the height of COVID so we didn’t have the option of a getaway. Initially, Frank was planning to propose in Banff since we love being by lakes (which is part of the reason we chose to get married in Lake Como!). However, with COVID, Frank instead proposed at Big Sur, which is one of our favorite getaways in California. He woke up super early to prepare a picnic basket that was in the trunk, and had asked me if I wanted to go whale watching that day at Big Sur. I initially thought it was a little odd, since it wasn’t whale watching season, but was excited to go to Big Sur nonetheless. Once we got there, he had already scoped out a perfect picnic spot where we were sitting on a cliff overlooking the California coast, popped a bottle of champagne and had all of my favorite snacks prepared. I totally blacked out during his speech (which I’m sure was extremely sweet), and when he opened the ring box to pop the question, the box was upside down![/field]

[field title=”Food & Drink”]In true Italian fashion, no guest left hungry. Aperitivo was ripe with classic Italian fare such as cold cuts, local cheeses, fresh tomatoes and produce. For dinner, local cuisine was highlighted through seafood and pasta and to finish off, the couple provided late night noodles. [/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]Elegant florals formed an arch for the ceremony and adorned the tables. Decor was simple yet timeless with taper candles and clean place settings. [/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]A traditional Italian cake was served as guests lit sparklers for the first cut and the champagne toast. [/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]There are two moments that stick out from the ceremony – (1) when Frank quoted Taylor Swift in his vows, and referred to her as my “favorite poet”, and (2) when our officiant started by asking us to pause and take a moment to look around at our venue, Lake Como and all our guests who flew so far to be with us in that moment. As we looked around, I think we were both filled with immense gratitude and love and felt fully present in that moment and what it meant to be getting married in front of all our loved ones.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]No Lake Como wedding is complete without a private boat ride for the couple after the ceremony. The perfect time for them to get away and soak up the reality of the day, while taking in the true beauty of the Lake. [/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]As the couple welcomed their guests at the start of the dinner, they announced that each setting had a special envelope under the plate for every guest. Guests opened their envelopes to find a photo of them with the couple, marking special memories that they each shared with them. It was a beautiful moment with plenty of tears, laughs and joy. [/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]Our favorite moment from the wedding day is the post-ceremony boat ride. It was such a beautiful way to take a quiet moment to ourselves after the ceremony, where we could just bask in our post wedding bliss!

Luxurious Fall Wedding in the Hills of Chianti at Castello Di Meleto

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]Wild & Romantic Fall Colors – Wine reds, burnt orange, ombre yellows framed with organic fruits as supporting palette (Plum, grapes, pomegranates)[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]The way we have always described the long-awaited celebration to guests would be a Tuscan affair where we would wine and dine to the best Chianti had to offer against the backdrop of the castle vineyard with the evening spread out against the sky – and with our hearts full, dance away the night under the Tuscan stars to the bride’s favorite vintage French jazz band.

For the ceremony, the highlight is the arrival of the bride and father of bride driving up the hill in a vintage white car in a long cypress lined road, tooting their horn to the fanfare of the guests’ fanfare and cheers. Against the backdrop of two French vintage jazz singers and the band crooning La vie en rose and an Italian garden setting on the hill overlooking the castle and vineyard, the bride walked down the aisle with clouds of white florals framing the scene. The design was stylish and organic to complement the lush Italian fauna, with two aged trees framing the view of the castle as the couple exchanged their vows. A special moment would be guests participating in the warming of the rings, where they passed the wedding bands around to imbue their well wishes and love into them before the rings are exchanged against the Le Moulins de mon Coeur song. As the couple were declared husband and wife, the bride throws her bridal bouquet back to the wedding party before getting into the vintage car, driving into the sunset against Ella Fitzgerald’s From this moment on.

As guests stroll down the cypress lined road to the herb garden overlooking the vineyard hills, the reception is the beginning of savory indulgences – with the appetizers made fresh on the scene – including live carving of prosciutto, stations of Italian hams, cheese and passed around carpaccios. Each food station was designed with vintage décor (Record players) and organic elements such as herb plants with waiters dressed in crisp black and white suits. Guests sip on their herb-infused cocktails against bossa nova and jazz acoustic pieces by the band.

For the dinner reception, the bride had decided on a less traditional design with a red and white antique patterned table cloth with white framed plates and mother-of-pearl cutlery, which accentuated the fruits and wild fall floral pieces on the tables, specially designed by Fluida Designs, a floral and landscape artist. There were a few special design choices the couple made: A special design element was the seating chart were green leaf-shaped cards that were hand calligraphed and placed on individual fruits that reflected the region and season. Guests also received a burgundy colored luggage tag as gifts that stated ‘And so the adventure begins’, hung on their chairs to bring home with. The bride chose to have a canopy of fairy lights to add an additional magic flair to the terrace lawn by the castle – to truly capsulate ‘Dining under the Tuscan stars’. The couple opted to have the Milliefoglie, a traditional Italian wedding cake made of crispy layers of pastry, fresh strawberries, raspberries and cream, made live in front of the guests which provided a very memorable moment. Guest have gushed that this was the best wedding cake they have eaten. The groom also specially requested to have a gelato cart where fresh Italian gelato would be served to guests for dessert. And as promised, after the couple twirled to their first dance, guests danced away the night to the bride’s favorite vintage french jazz band (Gatsby Follies by Jazz around midnight, who flew over from Paris and was decked out in full flapper dresses and suits). A unexpected surprise of the night was the after party DJ who guests have expressed as one of the best wedding DJs they have been treated to.

For the day after fancy pajama farewell party, the location was in a secluded garden area where guests were treated to a bohemian chic themed set up – filled with balloons, velvet sofas and lounge chairs, carpets and cushions. Guests were asked to dress up in their fanciest and most colorful pajamas – silk, feathers, pearls, etc. They milled around to the castle’s self-produced wine, live Italian barbecue against the backdrop of the playlist custom curated by the best man. Guests wrote their well wishes for the couple on the balloons, and before the end of the night, the couple released them to the night.

[field title=”Proposal Story”]Kim and Yao met in international orientation and started dating in the freshmen year of college (They were college sweethearts). They have bonded over their love for food and travel – and have been meticulously checking off their bucket list food and travel destinations around the globe each year. Yao surprised Kim with a proposal in Tokyo in November 2018. It was unexpected for Kim as she has always insisted that the proposal, whenever that happens, must be private with no audience (she’s easily embarrassed clearly). Given the trip was planned to the detail by her and they were traveling with another friend, she thought there would not be a chance it would happen then.

The aforementioned friend had made an excuse that night when they got into Tokyo from Kyoto that he had to meet with his colleague in Tokyo for drinks – and would join them later. Yao brought Kim to a hotel bar they loved in Tokyo – at the Andaz Tokyo on Toranomon Hills that had the perfect 360 view of Tokyo night lights. Kim and Yao had stayed there a couple of times when they have visited Tokyo before. As they ordered drinks, Yao disappeared strangely for a long time on the excuse of going to the bathroom, before the hotel manager approached Kim and handed her a room key. She thought he mistook her for someone else and tried to deny vehemently to a flustered manager that she was not a guest there.

The flustered manager eventually blurted out her name and told her to follow her. At that point, Kim thought something was suspicious as he brought her to the door of a room and ran away, leaving an amused Kim standing outside. As she knocked, Yao opened the door and swept her inside to the words of ‘Would you marry me?’ in perfectly cut out letters on the bed – and photos of their travels over the years hung around the room along with champagne and flowers. Yao shared that this was the exact room they stayed in when they first visited Tokyo together – overlooking the Tokyo tower. And with the Tokyo tower lights glistening behind, Yao dropped on one knee, brandishing a ring. Frankly, at that point, Kim had blanked out and did not remember a single word of Yao’s speech (he swears it was a beautiful speech and he did not make her sign away her life savings). After she said yes, they had a champagne toast – and went back to to the rooftop bar to find their friend (who was in on it the whole time and helping decorate the room) to celebrate.

There were many hilarious moments that proved Kim was completely oblivious – Yao had carried his backpack the whole time on the trip (with the ring in it) which was extremely uncharacteristic. Kim had suggested taking a later train to Tokyo from Kyoto, which both Yao and friend had vehemently objected to. Kim had texted Yao while she was waiting in the bar when he disappeared, to which he texted back a poop emoji to keep her from suspecting anything. Their friend was hiding on the floor of the hotel room right around the corner to ensure Kim did not run into him when being brought to the room. Luckily, in the midst of laughs and fun, she said Yes and the rest is history.

The Many Something Blues of Lake Como at Villa Balbiano

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]The wedding colors were chosen to complement and accentuate the stunning blues of Lake Como. The principal color was a bright white with minimal blue accents in varying shades.[/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]The key consideration in wedding design was to only enhance and not detract from the colors naturally appearing at the venue, while still giving the ceremony and reception area a clean and modern feel. The ceremony arch in particular was custom built by the florist, Rattiflora, for the wedding with the bride’s guidance to give as much visibility to the lake and mountains as possible while providing a touch of ornateness. The overall objective was to balance a timeless and classic wedding with a fresh twist.[/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]Logan and Agnes were vacationing in Sintra, Portugal, and spent the day visiting several castles in the area. Unfortunately it began to rain in the early afternoon and while normally not a fussy individual, Logan was frantically looking to purchase an overpriced umbrella at the nearest souvenir shop. Although this should have tipped off Agnes, she continued on the tours without any indication that a proposal was about to happen that evening. Once back in the hotel, Logan stepped out of the room for a “work call,” which was in actuality him making calls to the photographer and driver for the evening to confirm the plans. On the drive to dinner, Agnes noticed Logan’s hand getting progressively clammier, but again, was still oblivious as to what was about to occur. Logan asked the driver to drop them off at a cliff lookout point as they were a bit early for the dinner reservation. At this point, Agnes started to suspect that something may be happening and scanned the cliffside to see if maybe there was a not-so-secret photographer lurking. While there was a photographer, he and a model (which Agnes later learned was the photographer’s girlfriend who was, in fact, a model) were deep into a photoshoot, so Agnes figured it must not be for their proposal. A few minutes later, Logan turned to Agnes and began recounting their journey together, including him finally being able to meet Agnes’s grandparents who live in Poland earlier on in the trip. Agnes was so overcome with emotion, carsickness from the windy ride up the cliff, and also a tinge of distress from the height of the cliff, that the first words out of her mouth were, “I think I’m going to throw up.” Thankfully, the feeling soon passed and the couple was able to enjoy a picnic on the cliff followed by a romantic horse carriage ride by the ocean at sunset.[/field]

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]Agnes fell in love with the Tayra gown made by Eva Lendel when she first saw it on Pinterest. After flying to New York to try it on, she realized that while the bottom of the dress was perfection, the top unfortunately didn’t suit her. After visiting countless other stores, Agnes still couldn’t stop thinking back to the Tayra gown. One day, Agnes was scrolling Instagram and saw another dress by Eva Lendel, the Glam gown which had a beautiful structured sweetheart top. She went back to New York to try on the Glam gown, and the bridal associate at WONA noted that the designer would be able to use the Glam top with the Tayra bottom. Agnes purchased the combination without ever having seen what the two dresses would look like together. Once the dress arrived, Agnes had it tailored to add straps to the dress so that she could dance the night away without fear of any wardrobe malfunctions![/field]
[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]For the bridesmaid dresses, Agnes chose Dessy dresses in the color Mist. The material was luxe and shimmery, and the blue was the perfect pop of color that also complemented the lake perfectly. At the time, mix and match dresses were beginning to become evermore popular, but Agnes loved the clean and uniform look of the girls in the same fabric but with two different dress styles. [/field]

[section title=”The Details”]
[field title=”Food & Drink”]Agnes and Logan were unable to travel to Lake Como to do taste testing before the wedding, but heard so many wonderful things about the caterer (plus, it’s Italy, how could one go wrong?) that they chose only off of the menu and pictures provided. To this day, the most common word guests have used to describe the food has been “incredible.” Class Eventi provided infused waters for the guests upon their arrival, followed by passed hors d’oeuvre such as fresh tuna with sesame seeds and shiso flowers along with decadent meat and cheese stations. For the seated dinner portion, the first course was a parmesan soufflé with nuts and caramelized Martin Sec pears. For their main course, guests chose ahead of time between a sea bream served with pistachio cream sauce, a truffle pasta, and a piedmontese scottona with red wine sauce. For dessert, the couple opted for a dessert table with traditional Italian desserts and mini cakes.[/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]The flowers were designed in close collaboration between Agnes and Rattiflora. Agnes’s vision was to have solely mixed bright white florals, including for her bouquet and the bridesmaid’s bouquets. The ceremony aisle was adorned with bunches of white flowers of varying heights and sizes, placed in every other row. The arch was a custom build and was accentuated by cascading orchids. Orchids also formed a part of the bar and table decorations for continuity, but the bride and Rattiflora were careful not to sway too much towards a tropical feel. Agnes wanted to use flowers that weren’t overly trendy, but at the same time did not feel outdated.[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]The couple decided to forego a wedding cake in exchange for a dessert table in an effort to save costs after a few hiccups along the road ended up unexpectedly adding to the budget. Agnes always dreamed of taste testing wedding cakes and so it was difficult to give up the experience, but her sisters Claudia and Ania have promised that they will bring Agnes along to their respective tastings once they’re the ones getting married![/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]Music for the ceremony was provided by the extremely talented Florence String Quartet, who provided the couple with an extensive list of songs to choose from. The couple chose to do classical music for the ceremony when guests were being seated and during the entrance procession for the bride. The quartet then played covers during the cocktail hour, including the Game of Thrones theme song and songs by the Beatles and Cold Play. Agnes surprised Logan by asking the Florence String Quartet to learn a shortened version of Wait by M83 for her entrance, which is one of Logan’s favorite songs. As for the readings, Logan’s mom Judi read a poem about marriage, and Agnes’s dad read a letter from her grandparents in Poland who were unable to travel to the wedding due to declining health. The couple’s first dance song was Dear to Me by Electric Guest, which is the song they would always play on Sunday mornings when cooking breakfast together. ASAP Showband played for the dinner and dancing portion of the evening, and the night was topped by an electric sax and DJ duo, Tasten’Sax. Tasten’Sax is made up of two Italian brothers who love electronic music just as much as Agnes and Logan do, and they closed out the night by playing hits by Eric Prydz and Purple Disco Machine.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]Instead of a guestbook, the bride and groom chose to use a coffee table book about Villa Balbiano for guests to sign. They provided different colored metallic pens and guests were prompted to sign on whichever page they wished.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #2″]The groomsmen got dressed in Logan’s suite at Hotel Villa Flori and then took a boat to the venue. During the ride over, the boys enjoyed some champagne gifted by Logan’s sister, Jordan. Agnes also wrote a letter for the groomsmen which was read out loud by Logan during the short ride over to the venue.[/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #3″]Agnes had written her vows on the Notes app in her phone, but she ran out of time when transcribing them into the vow booklet the morning of the wedding. Her sister Claudia continued to write them, only to pass along the duty to another two bridesmaids when she herself was called in for hair and makeup. The vow booklet became the bride’s favorite momentum from the wedding, as it serves as a reminder of the support and love she felt from her bridesmaids all day long. [/field]

Enchanted Italian Countryside Wedding Bursting With Texture

[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]I have traveled to Italy many times, and quickly fell in love with the country where my Grandparents grew up. I started looking up venues in Italy, and instantly fell in love with the Tuscan countryside and ultimately the venue we selected! La Foce was the first venue I looked into – after seeing it, nothing compared!
Brad and I traveled to Italy last fall to meet with our wedding planner and see our venue! Being in Italy inspired me to keep with some Italian wedding traditions- during dinner we had an accordion player and we opted for a traditional Italian wedding cake instead of an American tiered cake (which was prepared live for all of our guests to see).
The beauty of La Foce inspired me to keep my decor simple and minimal yet luxe with a touch of glam![/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]Brad and I met on dating app in January 2020, little did we know we only lived three miles apart! We quickly bonded over our mutual love of family and travel, and were even lucky enough to take a quick trip to New Orleans in the beginning of March 2020 – getting home just days before the stay-at-home order. We stayed apart for a few weeks, and our love only grew stronger! Over the next months we spent a lot of time with my big, Italian family as well as Brads amazing parents and siblings.

In May of 2021, we went to Chicago for what I thought was a weekend away with some friends. Much to my surprise, he proposed on the Navy Pier with the beautiful water and skyline in the background! We came home to a nice engagement party with some of our family and friends.[/field]

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]My grandma owns a bridal shop Piera’s Bridal Couture that I help manage, and I have been working in bridal since I was 13 years old! I thought picking a wedding dress was going to be the most difficult part of planning a wedding, (thankfully) I was wrong!
I have close relationships with many of the designers we carry in the store and was so excited when my friends from Justin Alexander invited me to try on dresses with them in their showroom in New Jersey! The Justin Alexander Luxury houses many brands (we carry 3 in our store). I worked with Teri Hilferty- the Chief of Design and Merchandising, who I have known for over 10 years.
I first tried on a dress I had seen previously when I was buying for our store by Sincerity that I thought would be perfect for my welcome dinner- it was and that was it! Then we moved on to pulling wedding dresses! There was a dress hanging near the dressing room that caught my eye, but wasn’t really what I was looking for. Teri suggested I try it on anyway and it was the first dress I put on. As soon as I saw my reflection in the mirror I knew it was “the one”! I felt like the hundreds of brides I help that end up with something completely different than what they think. I tried on a handful of others but ended up saying “YES” to that first dress! It was a beautiful silk and tulle gown with handcrafted 3D flowers by Viktor & Rolf Mariage. We customized the dress a bit to make it just right for my destination wedding. The team made the long train removable and a custom veil to match the dress.

I wore emerald green Christian Louboutins to match my diamond and emerald earrings and wedding band.

I changed into a second gown (late night) by Eve of Milady.

Following the ceremony, the newlyweds embarked on a romantic boat ride to Lake Como, accompanied by their talented photographer Sotiris Tsakanikas. [field title=”Special Detail #3″]Written by the wedding planner: My Lake Como Wedding
What could be more romantic than an Italian lake wedding in the summertime. Sydney and Steven wanted an inviting setting, one that was also elegant, timeless and romantic. Lake Como was perfect and ensured their family and friends would have the most magical and memorable destination wedding experience.
They chose the lakeside setting of Villa Pizzo, a charming villa with manicured gardens and an ancient woodland. The ceremony took place at the villa’s Darsena overlooking a shimmering lake and lush green mountains, their guests watching on as they started the rest of their lives together. After the ceremony their guests enjoyed refreshing signature cocktails & delicious canapes in the Italian garden whilst the couple sped off in a traditional Italian Riva speedboat for a romantic photo shoot on the lake. Following the aperitivo an alfresco dinner was served in the walled courtyard under a canopy of low lit string lighting, and as if the day couldn’t get any more special, a trio of live singing tenors appeared from the villa and performed to Sydney and Steven as they cut their wedding cake. Then it was time to party, the DJ accompanied by sax and percussion, ensured no one left the dancefloor until the early hours of the morning. That’s Amore.

Couture Wedding Inspiration at Villa Pizzo in Lake Como

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”The Inspiration”]

This Lake Como editorial was inspired by the beautiful Villa Pizzo itself, from it’s expanding gardens along the lake side with 360 degree views that will take your breath away. We wanted to highlight the property while honoring its neoclassical design. So when thinking of how to incorporate its history with a splash of modern simplicity, we knew we had to incorporate texture, couture gowns, and an epic boat ride into the design. Created to showcase an intimate wedding weekend, each event within the wedding day design utilized a different area of the Villa and its property, from bridal portraits inside the villa among intricate architecture to the ceremony site on one of the villa’s secluded terraces overlooking the lake, to the reception dinner at the base of the epic outdoor stairway leading into the gardens. Following their ceremony, the couple took a celebratory boat ride with prosecco along the lake in a classic Lake Como Riva.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]Mauve, pinks, peach, cream, lavender[/field]
[field title=”The Venue”]

Villa Pizzo is situated right along the edge of Lake Como. Built on rich land, the property stretches from the shore of the lake to the edge of the hills and was originally full of vineyards and olive groves. The villa offers the longest lakeside garden in Lake Como, with lush greenery, cypress trees, and rose bushes along the lakefront, which add to the romance and charm of this stunning property. Wedding celebrations can utilize both the interior of the villa and the vast gardens. From breathtaking vistas to artistic statues, this villa is the perfect location for any dream wedding on the romantic Lake Como.

The bridal gowns were the main focus of the design. Both gowns were designed by Dylan Parienty Paris and were chosen to be statement pieces. Her main gown represented a modern take on the ballgown, with various layers of chiffon, a plunging neckline, and a dramatic train. This paired perfectly against the epic views of the mountains along the lake. For her second dress, the bride wore a heavily embellished slimmer cut gown with a high neck, satin and lace flowers, bows on the sleeves, and a playful layer of fringe. It was the perfect mix of elegance, party and play. We paired Bella Belle Shoes with her second look, and green linen Manolo Blahnik pumps with her wedding gown. Hair and makeup artist Ivona Milosevic created two different looks to pair with the brides’ gowns. Our groom was just as chic, styled in a classic black tux for the ceremony from Area 2 Rezzonico in Como, and a velvet dinner jacket and loafers for the reception.

To continue with an emphasis on modern and texture, Chiara Sperti Floral Events created a showstopping organic, color blocked arch for the ceremony. Centered on one of Villa Pizzo’s many verandas, the mix of peach, blushes, and creams popped against the beautiful blue backdrop of the lake. For the tablescape, NKT Events incorporated different elements such as stone, gold, and mauve velvet linens which were paired perfectly with the ceramic dinnerware embroidered with an intricate lace motif. Candles in varying heights added to the romance of the design. Krisanna Elizabeth created the wedding day stationery with a more classic approach. With luxurious calligraphy and hand-torn paper, the menus provided a classic Italian touch to a slightly more modern tablescape.

[/field]
[field title=”Favorite Design Element”]Our favorite design element was the repurposing of the floral arrangements. Following the ceremony, we choose to repurpose the floral arch into floor arrangements around the reception tablescape, and then later redesigned these same pieces to utilize in our cake display. The cake was created by Ramperti Pasticceria, to mimic the layers on our bride’s main wedding gown. This created a lush and luxe experience for each wedding moment. [/field]
[field title=”Tips To Pull Off The Look”]

Never be afraid to incorporate color and texture into your day, especially in such a fashion-forward, epic location as Lake Como. The varying textures and stature of the bridal gowns in this shoot, as well as the pops of color, showcase a unique interpretation of a modern, chic wedding design blended with the classic scenery of Villa Pizzo and Lake Como.

Ultra-Romantic Wedding Weekend in Tuscany That Exudes Femininity

[section title=”The Planning”]
[field title=”The Inspiration”]

We wanted to showcase the versatility and options that a countryside Italian venue like Villa di Geggiano could provide for an entire weekend experience for our couple and their guests. The couple’s celebratory experience began with a softly colorful welcome dinner the night before the wedding followed by a garden ceremony with the cutest flower girls and a timeless outdoor dinner reception framed by the gorgeous villa. These paired with a pre-ceremony portrait session in a floral Monique Lhuillier gown highlighting the gorgeous gardens, a celebration including a vintage Fiat 850 Spider getaway car, and a delicious MonAnnie designer cake. We also included dozens of details like dreamy paper goods by talented stationery artist, Studio Wren & Co., chic Jimmy Choos, and a unique, sparkly Monique Lhuillier for the bride’s final look. To bring the details to life, we chose colors that weren’t overly bright, yet felt fresh with touches of the colors seen in both the wildflower gardens and the indoor living spaces, using shades of pinks, creams, and subtle greens and blues. It was important for us to keep in line with the fine art aesthetic while adding both personal touches and pops of colorful patterns.

[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Colors”]Pinks, magenta, creams, subtle greens, baby blue[/field]
[field title=”The Venue”]

Villa di Geggiano is just outside Siena in Tuscany. The winding, cypress-lined roads through the Chianti Classico region of Italy led us to the family-owned (since 1527!) winery escape of Villa di Geggiano right outside of Siena. The blend of this incredible area (including a hilltop view of Siena’s silhouette from the villa’s garden) with a nod to baroque architecture and decor, antique frescos, wildflower gardens, soft country landscapes, and truly familial hospitality from the original family owners and staff made it a perfect choice for a dream couple’s intimate Tuscan celebration.

The experience was both intimate yet elevated as we showcased the couple’s preference for fashion and design in the haute couture gowns from Galvan London for the welcome dinner, Eisen Stein Bridal for the ceremony, a stylish and bold floral gown by Monique Lhuillier for pre-wedding portraits, and a sparkly Monique Lhuillier for the reception dinner. The groom was not spared in his regal look as well in two different attire designs by Bencivenga Alta Sartoria. The couple was adorned with jewelry and accessories by Eden Luxe Bridal.

We worked with the incredibly talented floral designer, Winsome Floral, to create stunning floral vignettes that flowed naturally throughout each space – from a show-stopping ceremony installation flowing through the iconic garden gates peering out to Siena in the distance, to two lush tablescapes – one backdropped by the villa and the other by the Tuscan architecture in the gardens, each lush with pops of softly toned florals and taper candles. She also created the most romantic bouquets for the bride and her delicate, romantic gowns. The touch of flowing florals, grapes, fruits, and cheeses perfectly enhanced the already stunning natural vineyard landscape.

[/field]
[field title=”Favorite Design Element”]

Inspired by the “blue room” inside the Villa where the bride got ready, we incorporated touches of this blue throughout the design, from a hint of it in the stationery to asking guests and having the flower girls include the color in their outfits.

[/field]
[field title=”Tips To Pull Off The Look”]

For a wedding weekend, unique fashion for each event is a must. In keeping with a true Tuscan theme of being stylish and chic yet relaxed, choosing designs that offer both ease and impeccable style are a must. It’s also important to consider the aesthetic and color palette of each event. For this welcome dinner, the vibe was simple yet elegant so the bride wore a long white shift gown with a unique tie along the back. For epic pre-ceremony portraits, she wore a fashionable floral Monique Lhuillier gown, which easily played off the wildflowers and colors in the gardens and allowed her to move easily. She chose something more traditional for her ceremony look in the Eisen Stein Bridal gown, before changing into her last Monique Lhuillier gown. Her final gown was beige and sparkly – a nod to the colors cast on the villa in the setting sun and to the party that would soon follow the dinner!

Summer Wedding in Tuscany at the Iconic La Foce

As the Spring 2023 wedding season quickly approaches  – more and more we’re seeing the gorgeous gardens of La Foce grace our feeds. This recognizable villa is slowly becoming one of our favorite destination locations in Europe… and with just one look at today’s féte planned by Weddings in Tuscany by Chiara Sernesi, it’s so easy to see why. Rachel and Pete tied the knot in an intimate ceremony beneath the towering cyprus trees on the villa grounds. Later, welcomed by a limencello escort display, guests dined al fresco under a canopy of string lights at the courtyard reception! See every last detail of this Italian summer love story at the full gallery of inspiration, all taken by Stepan Vrzala Photography!

From Chiara at Weddings in Tuscany… A whole year of intense emailing had gone by when we first met with Rachel and Pete, upon their arrival in Italy from California. We met the morning before their wedding, with everything already planned during the year, and the couple staying in Tuscany just a few days, we wanted to make the most of the happiest day of their life! We had recommended the historical Villa La Foce unesco world heritage site resting on a Tuscan hill, in the stunning valdorcia area the ideal place to frame their romantic wedding.

All around the tiny villages vineyards and olive groves. The beauty of the Tuscan landscape is simply too great for words, Throughout Tuscany, stunning landscapes, like those to be seen from the Villa, are graced by the familiar and charming Cypress tree. We planned for them and their 70 guests 3 days of celebration, starting with the welcome dinner in Pienza, in a restaurant with a panoramic terrace overlooking the hills, to a pool brunch party the day after in a beautiful farmhouse, overlooking the crete senesi hills.

On the wedding day, the ceremony and reception took place in the beautiful gardens of villa La Foce. The wow moment was the ceremony entrance, Rachel was accompanied by her mom and dad from the balcony at the top of the monumental, when they started descending the long stairway of the magnificent Villa, at the sound of the graceful music. Rachel loved blue and yellow as colours with this in mind, we created the palette. It’s our job as planners /designers to take this inspiration and translate it into an original design. Our goal is to reflect our client’s interpretation of beauty so that their event is a true reflection of them.

The flowers style was loose, organic, and garden-inspired. The florists interpreted the wishes of the bride very well, Bright yellow flowers look so beautiful alongside cream or white roses, including some green tones with foliage for a really fresh look! We designed each details, from the escort card display in navy with the yellow limoncello bottles to tablecloths / runners / napkins with hints of navy on each table. The very talented photographer Stepan Vrzala captured beautifully every moment of the day, from start to finish Capturing a memory that will last a lifetime and allow for all of those moments to be relived in one place.

Ardriana and Zach always loved traveling abroad, exploring new places and cuisines. During their first trip to Italy, they had dreamt and joked about getting married there one day. With their family roots originating there and their love for travel, it felt only fitting. As a a wedding planner and a bride, Ardriana knew she wanted their wedding to be an experience for their friends and families.

Like many couples in 2020, they decided to postpone their celebrations abroad. During the wait, Ardriana & Zach celebrated an intimate ceremony on New Years Day, 2021 in Rhode Island, surrounded by a select few family and friends.

Once June 2022 came, Ardriana & Zach, rented a villa to host their wedding party for their stay in Tuscany, while their additional guests stayed throughout beautiful hotels nearby – totaling 40 guests joining in their intimate celebration. There were several events leading up to the wedding day, including a spa day, pasta-making course and welcome pizza party with a vineyard tour to finish off the week. The welcome party featured live music, great pizza and dream-worthy gelato.

The wedding venue, Villa Montanare, was the easiest decision they made. With the venue just moments from the picture-perfect town of Cortona. Every decision from there was made with purpose. The bride, Ardriana chose to stay very true to herself on her wedding day, with her natural curls and family heirloom accessories.

For the groom, Zach, it was important he wore a comfortable yet tailored linen suit from a Rhode Island based company. He decided on cuff links from DelBrenna, a jewelry company within Cortona, along with a gifted signet ring, engraved from his mother.

The goal for their celebrations were focused on food, wine, and family. The decision to host their wedding abroad brought its challenges, but they are grateful for their vendors for sharing in their vision, their families for trusting in it and all of their friends for leaning into it.

This Tuscany Destination Wedding Perfectly Mixes Modern Styling With Traditional Elements

Travel to Tuscany for a classic wedding that will have you dreaming of a destination celebration in Italy.  Wonderlust Events planned a day that combined modern details with traditional elements.  Soft, romantic flowers in rattan pottery, by Lettre à Elise Events, lined tables for a stylish touch, while the local favorite Millefoglie cake was served at dessert.  You’ll love every incredible image beautifully captured by Anna Gianfrate Photography, see them all inside the full gallery.

Kelly and Ben’s destination wedding took place in Cortona in Tuscany, Italy at Villa Montanare. A private Tuscan home on a hill, where our couple hosted 80 of their closest friends and family. The color scheme of this wedding was greens, whites, and soft yellows. The ceremony took place at the back of the villa overlooking the beautiful rolling countryside with amazing picturesque views of the Tuscan hills. The arch of the ceremony was mainly made out of olive branches, with touches of white.

It was important to Kelly and Ben that the Italian atmosphere was carried throughout the day, so following the ceremony an Italian string trio played nostalgic Italian music. The caterers served food stands of different Italian foods, presented in wicker baskets, and a traditional gelato cart served gelato during this time to keep guests cool in the 30-degree heat.

The guests dined along 2 long tables dressed with neutral linen tablecloths. Beautiful soft flowers were presented in terracotta pottery and each place setting had a rattan charger, with a linen napkin and minimalist nude and white-toned stationery. As the sky got darker the olive trees lit up with beautiful fairy lights to bring all the romance. Kelly & Ben had a cake moment where they made a traditional Italian Millefoglie cake in front of guests and this was followed by their first dance under a canopy of lights, where their DJ played the night away.

Five Things to Consider When Planning a Destination Wedding with LBB Member Taryn Stark Wyant

If you’ve spent any amount of time on TikTok or youtube shorts (it’s me, hi, we’re there too) in the past 10 months you’ve seen destination weddings skyrocket and we are in LOVE with the intimate, cultural experience they create.

But once you open up the whole world to wedding destination potential, it’s easy to get over-analysis-paralysis. So we sat down with our editors and one of our LBB experts, Taryn Stark Wyant Wedding Planning & Design to break down the most important elements to consider when choosing a destination wedding location!

1. Consider Architecture

In addition to a destination’s natural terrain, the location’s architecture is what will *really* set the tone for your entire wedding vibe. Whether you’re surrounded by growing vines up a brick english countryside cottage, or standing on an iron balcony with an accenting saltillo tile roof, the location dominates the aesthetic of the photo. Once you determine what time of background you’re working with, the rest of the details have a specific scope to work through.

And take it from us, you can never go wrong with choosing a location with a balcony. It’s a win every time.

2. Consider Incorporating Unique Transportation

A shocking 2022 trend that has taken our aesthetic preferences by storm is the incorporation of boats in the wedding transportation space, and we can’t get enough of them. You could be in a Chris Craft boat on the east coast or (in this case) a sail-boat in the Mediterranean and we will swoon every time. If you’re picking a destination with water, make the most of it!

3. Consider How Your Attire Will Match the Environment

Knowing how much the destination’s terrain, architecture and weather play a role in the aesthetic of your wedding, aligning your attire accordingly helps you make intentional decisions that make your whole look cohesive from head to toe. We will always love a groom in linen on the beach, a bride with a light, flowing chiffon running through grassy hills or a vineyard and you better believe there’s no better place for a ballgown silhouette than a castle venue (that goes without saying, but we couldn’t leave it out.) And in reference to point #2, if you’re going to stand at the helm of a sailboat, might as well do it wearing a cape!

author’s note: Capes are applicable and relevant in almost all settings and they are one of the best wedding fashion trends to emerge in a long time so please, please keep them coming. We swoon.

4. Consider Color Palette

In this elopement the groom is slaying his alignment in color pallet to the environment and his bride’s accessories. The color of his jacket is a dialed up saturation of the colors naturally occurring in the background, giving him a little pop to stand out while still coordinating in the setting. And speaking of the bridal look, her bouquet looks as though it’s taken an eye droplet of color influence from everything that surrounds her.

When you’re working with the best of the best vendors, they ensure your floral game lines up with not only what your’e envisioning, but also how your vision and expectations translate to what’s native to your environment. And speaking of vendors, that leads us to our next and arguably most important point.

5. Consider Your Key Vendor

Picking a destination wedding means venturing outside of your familiarity and comfort zone and while sometimes that can seem scary, it’s also half of the excitement! So the most important first step to take after selecting your location is to find the right planner to bridge the gap of local understanding, time zones and helps connect you to the rest of your vendor team. Taryn Stark Wyant Event Planning & Design was the mastermind brainpower behind this coastal Italian elopement, and you can see the quality of coordination from start to finish.

When we talked to their team, the main objective they take for each wedding is to “curate personal, intimate, luxurious celebrations for our clients’ wedding weeks, affording them the joy and excitement of the experience without the stress!” and that’s exactly why you bring in the pros. Their biggest priority is to develop an authentic and meaningful relationship with each of our clients” and since you’ll be spending so much time planning and coordinating with them, it’s an important pillar to build on!

One of the most important parts of the wedding planning process is managing your decision fatigue to protect your mental space and make the whole process as enjoyable as possible, and the best way to do that is by putting the right framework around each decision. If you’re considering doing a destination wedding, use these five considerations to help narrow things down and then get fun and creative from there!

Amore & The Amalfi Coast: Elegant Romance in Ravello

The beauty of Italy comes alive at this Amalfi Coast wedding. Filled with special accents like fresh lemons, hand-drawn illustrations, and lots of love, Blooming Eventi planned a day we can’t get enough of.  Endlessly romantic floral design by Malafronte Fiori is an absolute must-see, and it’s all artfully captured in time in the exquisite imagery by Lace & Luce.  Visit the full gallery to take a trip to Italy.

From the bride… One of the most special things about our wedding to my husband and myself was where we got married. Years before we got engaged, we traveled to Ravello and fell in love with its charm, beauty, its genuineness, and on that trip, we fell more deeply in love with one another– we even ended up naming our dog Ravella. So when my husband proposed in 2019, there was no question about where we wanted our wedding to be. When it came time to plan, what was most important to us was to be able to share our favorite place with our favorite people. We aspired to do so with a timeless, elegant design that let the beauty of our venue- a traditional Italian villa perched at the top of Ravello’s cliffs- shine through. It was only through the support of our incredible vendor team that we were able to achieve just that. To get our guests excited to join us in Ravello, we used a custom, hand-drawn illustration of our venue on all of our wedding materials. Our save the dates, change the dates, invitation suites, welcome bags, guest welcome letters, limoncello favor tags, drink koozies, wedding signage and more all adorned the illustration.

Fast forward to the days leading up to our wedding… There was no greater feeling than being in our favorite place, halfway across the world from “home”, in this small, coastal Italian town and bumping into a best friend from college or my godmother or my dad on a rustic Italian street. It was indescribable and brought us so much joy getting to share this place that means so much to us with the people that mean even more to us. We also wanted to honor and celebrate with this town we love so dearly on the day of our wedding. So after our ceremony, my husband and I took a walk through the town and visited many of our favorite places: we danced in the town square, stopped by the ceramic shops, and even took a shot of limoncello with a local store owner. Not only were we on cloud nine, just getting done with our I Do’s, but it felt like Ravello was just as elated as we were, cheering with us, clapping, dancing. And that was why we fell in love with Ravello so many years prior. It was such a beautiful place with kind people, and the perfect setting for us to spend this special time in our lives.

A few additional special details from our wedding:

  • As a wedding gift, I surprised my husband with a vintage Alfa Romeo for him and his groomsmen to drive around and take pictures in on the day of the wedding.
  • I did two ‘first looks’; one with my bridesmaids and one with my dad. I’ll never forget their sweet reactions to seeing me in my wedding dress. That was the moment that it really hit me that I was a bride.
  • Right before our ceremony, my husband and I did a ‘no look first look’ where we stood back-to-back, read letters to each other, and exchanged gifts. Because we’d waited so long for our wedding, we wanted the first time we saw each other to be when I walked down the aisle. Getting to hear David’s voice one last time as my fiancé, overlooking our favorite place, was the perfect way to close our chapter of being engaged. It was so special to get to speak with each other before the ceremony and it made seeing each other at the end of the aisle that much sweeter.
  • I designed most of the items for the wedding myself, including our save the dates, change the dates, invitation suite, welcome bag playing cards, koozies, limoncello tags, bar menus, wedding signage, dinner menus, reception shoes, and I print-pressed each welcome bag by hand.

Al Fresco Spring Wedding at Relais Villa Vittoria in Lake Como

They say good things come to those who wait, and for this darling couple – those words couldn’t be more true! After multiple years of postponements, Macy and Travis finally exchanged “I do’s” at the Lake Como wedding weekend of their dreams. Rebecca Rose Events left no detail unturned, while Figli Dei Fiori decorated their intimate celebration in timeless green and white blooms. The full gallery captured by Jillian Knight is all the destination wedding inspo you’ll need, just don’t forget to pin your fave moments! ;)

From Rebecca Rose Events… Macy and Travis originally planned their destination wedding in Italy for April 2020 and were forced to reschedule three times due to the pandemic, until the week finally arrived in May, 2022 when they could safely host their guests for two days of celebration at Relais Villa Vittoria on the beautiful shores of Lake Como. It was all worth the wait.

Guests arrived to a casual welcome reception at the villa and enjoyed cocktails, dinner, and conversation as the sun set behind the mountains. Each couple received a property welcome gift that included locally sourced bottled juices, hazelnuts, and Italian macarons, as well as a welcome packet of details and a custom watercolor illustration of the villa where they would enjoy two full days of luxury hospitality.

On the wedding day, we arranged a private wooden boat to take Macy and Travis out on the lake following their first look. The weather was so perfect it felt almost surreal to everyone, and there’s just nothing quite so exquisite as the vibrant blue of the water on a sunny day. Just before sunset, guests gathered for an intimate ceremony just in front of the pool on the villa’s lakefront terrace. With the decision to keep their guest list intimate, Macy and Travis opted against having a traditional wedding party of bridesmaids and groomsmen, so that their closest friends could enjoy the festivities simply as guests. The ceremony was heartfelt, emotional, and picture perfect.

After enjoying aperitivo on an upper terrace, everyone progressed down to the 40 foot estate dinner table set under the vine covered arbor for a leisurely formal plated dinner service and toasting.

The design for the wedding was inspired completely by the palette present in the surroundings. We incorporated the soft peach color of the villa’s exterior walls, the green from the lush gardens, and a hint of Lake Como’s blue. Nuage Designs created custom table linens for the occasion, which we paired with their white lace-trimmed napkins (a subtle nod to the lace on the train of Macy’s dress), and custom acrylic menus that featured watercolor artwork. Each chair was tied with a personalized place card. We created coloring books for the two children in attendance.

The evening ended after desserts and dancing into the wee hours.

Old World Elegance on the Amalfi Coast at Villa Astor

We’re closing out the last few moments of summer with an epic Amalfi Coast editorial planned by Krissy Campbell dripping in old world elegance. High fashion, a fine art aesthetic, jaw-dropping blooms by Lettre a Elise Events and Mediterranean sea views at every turn. If you’re looking for Italian destination wedding inspo, look no further. You’re going to want to spend a little extra time at the full gallery by bonphotage, and don’t forget to pin your faves ;)

The winding roads through the Amalfi cliffside towns led us to the Mediterranean escape of Villa Astor right off the Marina Grande in Sorrento, Italy. The blend of this incredible area (and the view!) with a nod to Neo-Roman architecture, Dominican Monastery remnants and lush gardens made it a perfect choice for a dream couple’s intimate Amalfi Coast celebration. I couldn’t wait to create around the natural elements and beauty of the space, while also speaking to current topics of connection, thoughtful luxury, intimate post-COVID destination weddings, fashion and travel at this stunning location.

I wanted to showcase the versatility and options that a coastal Italian venue like Villa Astor could provide to couples for an entire extended and intimate experience for themselves and their guests. We decided to showcase a few vignettes throughout the property that highlighted the beautiful Pompeiian villa and gardens that could be used all year round. We designed a ceremony, two tablescapes, and a dessert table by the talented Mon Annie Cakes. These paired with portraits highlighting luxuries of the area including a speedboat ride and Fiat 500 getaway. We also included dreamy paper goods by two talented stationery artists, Olumis Calligraphy and Studio Wren.

To bring the vignettes to life, we decided on a spring or summer wedding palette and, again, played to the property and its surroundings. I chose colors that weren’t overly bright, yet felt fresh with touches of the colors seen in the indoor living spaces as well, using soft pinks, yellows, and even subtle greens and blues. It was important for us to keep in line with the fine art aesthetic while adding both personal touches and pops of coastal color. I described the couple and their ideal celebration with descriptors such as “elegant, luxury, exclusive, romantic, intimate, refined, travel, sophisticated, coastal, cultured, delicate yet bold, hopeful and lush.”

We also wanted to create a story for this couple that could be reflected in the experience and details of their time at Villa Astor. This is the story of a couple with a love for travel and culture. They want to reflect their connection to the natural and European-style architecture while inspiring their guests to discover for themselves perspectives and stories beyond their own – to embrace the experience of the coastal slowed pace and seaside escape…to celebrate places and people that may surprise, challenge and inspire. Their celebration speaks of their desire to use their travels to connect themselves and others to the innate beauty found in places and people wherever they go.

All of this gave us a wonderful foundation to work with as we designed the experience.

We began to connect with professionals worldwide that could beautifully bring these elements and values to life. We worked with the incredibly talented French floral designer, Lettre a Elise Events, to create stunning floral vignettes that flowed naturally throughout each space – from a show-stopping ceremony installation flowing over the iconic archways, peering out to the sea to two tablescapes, both overlooking the cliffside water, each lush with pops of softly toned florals and taper candles. She also created the most romantic bouquet for the bride, just perfectly sized for her and her delicate, romantic gowns along with her soft bridal hair and makeup by Samantha Pretto. The touch of florals perfectly enhanced the already stunning natural landscape and architecture.

The color palette softly played off tones of early summer and the subtle tones both outside and inside the venue. We had so much fun weaving these together in each of the table details. The backdrop of the villa with the gardens, sea and mountains in view created the perfect spots for multiple outdoor dinner fetes surrounding the wedding day. One of the villa’s checkered balconies held a glass-top oval table highlighted with matted gold touches, stunning paper details and a center brimming with almost a dozen floral arrangements, softening the palette and keeping the space timeless yet bold and luxurious. The second tablescape was set with old-world chairs and paper details, velvet linens and lush floral, nestled against the seaside backdrop along the cliff’s edge. The invitations and day of paper goods by both stationery artists were a truly personal touch as each guest received a unique menu and personal place card, each assembled together with color, texture and design details custom to each attendee. Muted palette tones, combinations of hand calligraphy and typeface along with wax seals, floral art and personalized gifts gave a nod to the inspiration found in the locations and the thoughtful luxury of the entire experience. The texture in the china and flatware pairings (thanks to G&G Party Service) brought a true nod to the simple, yet elegant look of the venue’s iconic architecture and gardens.

The experience was both intimate yet elevated as we showcased the couple’s high taste for fashion and design in the haute couture gowns of Galia Lahav and romantic, yet bold colored gown by Il Giardino Fiorito delle Spose. The groom was not spared in his regal look as well in two different tux designs by Sergio Nesci Boutique. The couple was adorned with Italian jewelry and accessories by New Milano and a bridal ring by Taya.

Lastly, we also wanted to ensure that we captured the couple taking special moments for themselves throughout the experience. This is one of my top priorities as a planner and designer – to provide our couples with not only a stunning space, but the ability to cherish the beauty of the moments together both alone and with their guests. The bride and groom were captured throughout the property and luxurious villa in its natural element with the most perfect golden light and seaside landscape. They escaped in both a quaint Italian car as they were married off and enjoyed a luxury speedboat getaway from the Marina Grande as well.

As you can see through the beautifully captured photos from the Bonphotage team, each detail of the celebration and experience at Villa Astor was thoughtful from beginning to end. The aesthetic and beauty was only heightened by the intimate moments between them and the intentional touches added for themselves and their loved ones. We hope this project inspires a timeless, yet highly personal and thoughtful approach to luxury celebrations on the Italian Amalfi Coast and beyond!

Discover One of Tuscany’s Most Picturesque Venues in Orvieto

The beautiful La Badia di Orvieto is complete with a Romanesque chapel, cypress-lined roads and endless views of rolling Tuscan hills – I mean, need we say more?! Old world romantics will swoon over today’s gallery captured by Faith Roper PhotographyJanna Brown Design Co designed and styled every thoughtful detail of this gorgeous shoot, with coordination by CheChic!Weddings. Trust us, it won’t take long to see why we’ve coined La Badia as one of the most picturesque venues in Italy!

Set outside of a hill town in the Umbria region of Italy, La Badia di Orvieto is a Benedictine abbey built around 1100 that now serves as a gorgeous hotel and wedding venue. The space is a blend of medieval castle vibes with its tower and ruins and the romantic Romanesque chapel with 13th century frescoes. Cypress trees line the driveway, and an olive grove borders the venue for the perfect Italian countryside vibe.

For this wedding editorial, the bride, Carlotta, wore a lace Reem Acra gown embellished with delicate pearl beads and carried an oversized bouquet of white and cream peonies, roses, ranunculus, and more. The delicate florals and lace of the gown stand in contrast against the roughness of the stone and ruins. The handsome groom wore a classic black tuxedo. Our day began with separate bridal and groom portraits in the candle-lit stone chapel and its fresco adorned room. Paper goods by Prairie & Sage are fitting the medieval castle meets Italian countryside style.

Our ceremony was set in the courtyard with dark wooden chairs fitting a castle celebration. The reception was held under the dramatic archway ruins, with round tables laden with lush bouquets of white and cream florals, including the most gorgeous peonies you have ever seen. Couple portraits around the venue ended with a walk in the olive grove at sunset to enjoy the view of the Orvieto skyline with the Duomo as the star. The editorial was designed and styled by Janna Brown Design, with coordination by Che Chic Weddings, and photography by Faith Roper Photography.

The Art of Romance At A 16th Century Villa On Lake Como

History, architecture, and romance collide at this incredible editorial shoot on Lake Como.  Janna Brown Design Co. designed a dream-like day, complete with a fantastic floral lined aisle that echoed the flower-bordered steps above the ceremony set-up.  Every ultra-elegant minute is artfully captured in the imagery by Faith Roper Photography.  You can see the best that Italy has to offer inside the full gallery.

From Faith Roper Photography… Set on the shores of Lake Como in Tremezzo, Italy, Villa Sola Cabiati is an exquisite wedding venue for the lover of romance, art, architecture, and history. The villa was built in the 16th century and later redesigned in the 18th. With walls and ceilings adorned with frescoes, rooms decorated in luxury antiques, and windows and balconies looking out at the lake, the setting is a dream at every angle.

Our wedding ceremony was set in the back garden with a bouquet-lined aisle to echo the flower-bordered stone steps above. The bride’s gown is a cloud-like creation by Demetrios Bride, and the groom wore a classic black tuxedo. With formal portraits against the frescoed walls, the couple is quite literally stepping out of a painting. Paper goods by Shasta Bell Calligraphy fit the artful, old-world style.

For the reception, a long table in the upper salon was set with blush and cream flowers and cream and gold plate ware. Antique chairs at the table faced an amazing view of the lake from the balcony and windows. No Lake Como wedding is complete without a classic wooden boat ride around the lake to enjoy views of the Italian Alps and picturesque villages. The event was all beautifully designed and styled by Janna Brown Design Co., with expert coordination by Centorose e un tulipano, and photography by Faith Roper Photography.

Wedding At Luxurious Villa D’Este Lake Como

This couple celebrates their Lake Como wedding in the sweetest of ways, with their baby daughter! Elena Renzi planned the waterside affair filled with food, fun, family, and friends.  The neutral color palette of blooms by Ratti Flora beautifully complimented the natural beauty of the location, and everything was artfully captured in the imagery by Koman Photography.  Visit the full gallery for a look at all the lovely.

From Koman PhotographyThree months after we met for the first time on a video call with Elina and Sam, they had their first baby Sofia, such a wonderful event! We fell in love with this lovely couple and their little girl and made sure that their wedding day was going to be simply perfect. In Persian culture, weddings are not to be celebrated quietly and discreetly but, on the contrary, they need to be joyful and lavish, which is why Elina and Sam chose to get married in the gardens of one of the most luxurious villas on Lake Como, Villa D’Este.

With its elegant structure that conveys its majesty at first glance, its large and beautifully designed spaces, and its access from the lake, it was the perfect location for such a sumptuous wedding. Organizing a Persian wedding is anything but simple, but it is the attention that tradition pays to the single detail that makes it truly impressive. Traditionally, couples pronounce their vows seated at a low table with a strong symbolic value: no one but the bride and groom and their loved ones may touch it, not even the wedding planner, who must leave it to the people in charge to bring the precious tablecloth and richly set the table.

On the table, the objects that stand out above all others are the mirror and the candelabra, representing light and fire each, two elements of great symbolic value. Other objects, some of which arrived directly from Iran, include a tray of spices, representing abundance; hard-boiled eggs, symbolizing fertility; crystallized sugar cones, invoking a sweet life for the bride and groom; decorated bread, the Koran and so on. Particularly moving is the moment when the bride and groom promise each other a conjugal future full of sweet words by covering each other’s lips with honey.

Allow the full gallery to fully transport you to Springtime in Siena, captured to perfection by Linda Nari Photography!

From Linda Nari PhotographyRebirth, purity and flourishing beauty inspired this romantic editorial set at the 14th Century Villa di Geggiano wedding venue in Tuscany. Blush tulle, delicate flowers and several beautiful bridal looks create a timeless universe enlightened by love and fine art vibes.

The stunning visuals are created by fine art wedding photographer Linda Nari with planner Caterina Weddings and a team of creatives inspired by rebirth and the flourishing blooms of spring: “We wanted to create a tribute to life. A message of hope and a hymn to beauty, which will always be our salvation in hard times.”

The gorgeous floral design from Chiara Sperti Floral Events follows a soft feminine colour palette of ivory, blush and pale peach with tiny touches of blue and purple. The spring medley of flowers features garden roses, ranunculus, spirea, sweetpeas, narcissi and fritillary in a beautifully natural freeform style.

For the ceremony, Chiara created a floral structure echoing the design of the ornate stone arch at the head of the aisle, plus freeform clusters around the chairs for a lovely organic feel. The natural styling continues to the tablescape, featuring foliage decorated beech branches and informal floral compotes.

Every detail echoes a lightless touch, from the delicate lingerie and blush tulle gown to the intricate gold jewellery and understated stationery.
