You Have To See These Breathtaking Santorini Views For This Romantic Villa Wedding!

As we clean up from the holiday, boy do we have a view for you! This morning we bring you to Santorini at the gorgeous Cavo Ventus, where this couple said their I Do’s and celebrated with their nearest and dearest! With a romantic color palette and Red Box Days putting together lush florals, White Ribbon Boutique Events tied it all together with gold accents and the prettiest of the pretty details! Take a look below and be sure to check out the full gallery to see all of Vasia Photography’s perfect photos!

From White Ribbon Boutique EventsTatiana and David were set up through mutual friends while on a summer weekend in the Hamptons. They got engaged a year and a half later, at their favorite escape from New York City, in the Catskills. The groom told the bride that they were going to a last-minute wine tasting in a private cottage nearby. When they walked in, Tatiana was stunned by a room filled with rose petals, candles, bouquets of flowers and a roaring fireplace surrounded by printed photos of all their adventures together, before the groom got down on one knee and proposed.

The couple wanted to get married surrounded by breathtaking views, and with Tatiana’s family residing in Cyprus, they thought Santorini would be the ideal fit for their wedding. The bride had a beautiful vision for the wedding’s color palette – a variety of dusty pink shades, with lush florals, gold accents and romantic touches throughout their wedding details.

Apart from the heartwarming ceremony, the emotional speeches, and the candlelit dinner, guests were treated to a spectacular display of fireworks, a 6-piece band flown in from London, and the surprise appearance of a nationally-renown magician to entertain them throughout the cocktail hour.

It was a truly romantic love story of a gorgeous couple who couldn’t have imagined a more perfect setting for their fairytale than the stunning Santorinian Caldera.

Intimate Cliff-Side Wedding at Canaves Oia in Santorini

Can you imagine not only saying ‘I Do’ on the side of a cliff, but also on a Greek island? We couldn’t either! But, this couple did and Les Anagnou Photographers was there to capture every magical moment from their intimate ceremony to their jaw-dropping first look. Betty Flowers Santorini incorporated subtle touches of blush and burgundy into the floral arrangements which paired perfectly with a sea of blue as the backdrop. With Canaves Oia showing off everything Santorini has to offer, our only wish was that we could have been there! Keep scrolling to see a truly unforgettable wedding…

From the bride…Before I even knew Wally, he knew he wanted to marry me. He had seen me years before we had connected, at my best friends’ wedding; leading to our first date. After dating for a little over a year, to my surprise, Wally proposed during my family’s annual portrait.

When it came to planning a wedding, we knew we wanted something different. Wally and I love the memorable experiences that come with traveling, so eloping in Greece seemed like a dream. The iconic blue domes and beautiful views attracted us to Oía and we instantly knew that is where we wanted to profess our love for each other. Upon telling our family, the plans to elope quickly became an intimate party of 10; we were thrilled they were so excited to be a part of our special day.

We wanted a simplistic and romantic vibe with Greek influences. We didn’t want to detract from the natural beauty of the island, which was the inspiration for the entire wedding. We chose the color palette of romantic white and blushes with pops of burgundy. The dinner table was decorated with an olive leaf tablecloth and floral arrangements similar to my bouquet; which was tied with a gold silk ribbon. We loved the idea of having the Caldera as our backdrop, so we chose two floral arrangements on each side to frame the breathtaking view. Our brother in law was the officiant, adding a personal touch and to my surprise, my husband hired a lovely guitarist who played “Can’t Help Falling in Love” as I walked down the aisle.

Our memory of running through the streets of Oia to get married on the side of a cliff was undeniably unforgettable. My favorite memory was my husband surprising me by singing “Say You Won’t Let Go” by James Arthur during our reception; there wasn’t a dry seat in the house. They say when you’re in love you want to scream it from a mountain top; that is exactly what we did. It was important for us to have a unique memory to tell our grandchildren and for us to truly enjoy every single moment of the day.

Our advice to future brides and grooms would be to make this memory yours, a couples wedding day should be what they both dreamed of. When planning a wedding, it is easy to settle for things you may not want to in order to please others; focus on what will make you happy.

This Rocabella Santorini Wedding Is Sure to Leave You Breathless

Cascading white-washed villages, extraordinary volcanic beaches, divine dome-shaped churches and the crisp blue Aegean sea that extends as far as the eye can see – it’s no wonder Santorini is one of the leading destination wedding locations in the world. While the locale might be a popular choice, this wedding truly stands out from the rest. Lucky for us, Anna Rousssos  and Mont Videography were there to capture every must-see moment. From fashion-forward bridal style to a first look that will make you happy cry… every moment of this day planned by Stella And Moscha is a total dream. Oh, and did we mention lots, and lots of donuts? Check out the full gallery to see just what we mean.

From Wedding Planner, Stella and Moscha Weddings… The amazing backdrop of the Santorinian caldera and the unparalleled light of the Greek summer leaves little room for extravagance. Our beautiful bride Kristin spotted that early on in the wedding planning process and she chose to let the light take over.

We couldn’t help but fall in love with her Inbal Dror wedding dress, which compliments her silhouette delicately. The luxurious beading captured the sun making her sparkle with every step.

The couple met for their first look surrounded by the pristine, awe-inspiring scenery of the Santorini coastline. It’s hard to imagine a more romantic place to see your bride for the first time.

We absolutely love this shot captured perfectly by Anna Roussos of Kristin looking back with a smile of pure bliss as she made her way to the church to marry her soulmate. The true love between these two is undeniable.

It was a wonderful June morning and a great day for a church wedding in the heart of Santorini. The cobblestone alleys were filled with people and Kristin and Andrew were ready to start their journey into married life. The church flowers from Wedding Wish were understated yet emphasizing on the Greek elements of the wedding.

And so before we go a single moment more, we ask you to watch this short wedding film from Mont Videography, presented to perfection in true, classic Greek style!

More from Stella and Moscha Weddings..The reception décor was dictated by symmetry and the subtle yet dreamy palette of white, olive green and light gray, perfectly matching the white walls of the venue and the Aegean blue.

A sweet dessert display complete with donuts galore was decorated in fresh greenery and floral arrangements, making for one wow-worthy décor moment!

Santorini Island Wedding Overlooking The Caldera

In love with love… that’s what Vana of White Ribbon Boutique Events says about herself. From the very early days (when she collected wedding inspiration and filled binder after binder of wedding ideas!), until today… after developing lasting friendships with her couples, Vana continues to fall in love, day after day with the sheer romance of weddings she and her team help plan. Not just because wedding planning is so very rewarding, but because each wedding — and every couple — are so unique, so personal and so significant. Can you imagine actually working surrounded by views like this? Well, how about getting married there!

From the bride… Tim and I met during our freshman year of college. Though we were friends throughout university, the timing was never quite right. After college, we both ended up in New York City…  and of course, the rest is history.

Neither of us had ever been to Greece, but we knew we wanted a special destination for our wedding. After looking at many weddings on-line, we found that we were consistently drawn to the beauty of the caldera views… and the laid back atmosphere in Santorini. So we did it!

Right there, in front of the Caldera, we  exchanged vows with our family and closest friends beside us.The dinner following the ceremony took place on a breathtaking balcony at two long family-style tables. The inspiration for the decor was a mixture of earthy tones with soft and romantic pinks infused in the flowers, tableware and linens. Our intimate dinner was followed by emotional speeches and a fabulous party.

Our sincere thanks to Anna Roussos Photography, Nice Plum, Spicy Bites and of course, White Ribbon Boutique Events for their continued support of Style Me Pretty!

From Elias Kordelakos… Santorini is one of the most sought-after wedding destinations! For me as a wedding photographer, for many good reasons. The light and the architecture of this Greek island provide endless options and I like to incorporate these two elements in my photography. I love playing with the backlight that creates more romantic and timeless images. I must also admit how much I love intimate weddings. People are so much more engaged in what is happening and actually being part of it. Another thing I always suggest to my couples is having a first look! From a photographer’s point of view, it is just so magical and always creates emotional images! The couple also enjoys it and loosens any tension before the ceremony. It helps the bride and groom relax and have some time on their own!

Why “Minimalist” + “Santorini” Should Always Go Together

One doesn’t immediately think “minimalist” when you say the words “Santorini destination wedding,” but after seeing this lovely celebration photographed by Les Anagnou and planned by Santorini Glam Weddings, we think those words ought to go together forever more! We adore the paired down romance of the ceremony, the chic arrangements of bud vases and simple floral clusters by Betty Flowers Santorini, and the sleek all white reception set up by Spicy Bites Catering, so scroll on and be convinced minimalist Santorini is the next big thing.

From Les AnagnouSummer was here. The sky was blue, the sound of crashing waves echoed in the distance, the breeze of the Aegean Sea rolled softly through the air and streamed into the open doors. The bridesmaids moved gently around the room, while Ji transformed into the beautiful bride she was ready to become. Jonathan, handsome in his black tuxedo, waited patiently for Ji to descend the cobblestone steps, glowing from happiness in her flowing white gown and her elegant high heels. What makes us come back over and over again to this wedding is that from the very beginning to the end, we were in love with the elegant and minimalist details of the invitations, the special yet intimate and beautiful adornment, the calm flow of the ceremony, the warmth of the couple, and their dedication to each other, all set against the backdrop of the magnificent Caldera and the endless Aegean Sea.

Beautiful + Romantic Santorini Wedding Film

This was Denee Motion’s first venture in filming in Santorini but we’d bet it won’t be their last. One viewing of this wedding and all the beauty they captured, and there’s no doubt that they rocked it. From the sweet moments between the couple to all the amazing details courtesy of Santorini Glam Weddings and Betty Flowers Santorini, Denee Motion got them all on camera and we’re oh so happy they did!
[iframe http://www.youtube.com/embed/nM7yXl5vflY 600 338]
From Denee Motion… This was our first wedding assignment in Santorini and we went there in advance to explore the grounds and do some location scouting. There were two operators on this job: Denee Motion’s founder Denis and his assistant Janis who flew all the way from Riga. We met our couple in London a year prior and we knew there were the right couple for us. Zoë was so excited about having the video for her wedding which was a good indicator! They were really natural on the day and were enthusiastic and keen on our ideas. Hence, it was super easy to produce a beautiful wedding trailer and film for them. Enjoy!

Santorini Elopement Planned in 3 Months!

As travel-lovers always up for an adventure, Jenn and Matt knew a destination elopement would be right up their alley. They decided to tie the knot in their favorite place on earth (Santorini, Greece) and planned the entire affair in three months flat. Of course, they brought in local professionals like Tie the Knot Santorini and Betty Flowers Santorini to make it all happen and we’ve got the captures from Sandy & Odysseas Photography.

From the bride… Our wedding was perfect for our taste! Most important for us was being able to share it together, just the two of us. We decided to elope in Santorini 3 months before the big day and could not be happier with our decision! It felt so intimate and we have some incredible memories of the day. A big driver was being able to get married stress-free…we had both seen a lot of weddings turn into a spectacle or be focused on other elements besides the love of the couple getting married. That was something we really didn’t want so eloping seemed like a great choice! I love white and gold – I wear both almost every day and our house decor is very neutral- so naturally, I wanted our wedding to reflect a similar color-scheme. We stuck to mostly white, gold and green with some light rose accents. White roses with greenery and succulents served as the perfect accent to the gorgeous scenery behind us. I wanted a big bouquet that was reminiscent of one made while walking through a field of flowers! Our florist did a great job capturing my vision.

We hung gold, geometric lanterns from the posts on our balcony to frame the beautiful backdrop of the Santorini caldera. We love simple elegance so it was important for us to keep our palate neutral while letting the setting we were in speak for itself.

Our favorite part of wedding planning was picking the music. We customized every piece to our tastes, from walking down the aisle to an acoustic version of The Beatles’ “Blackbird” to our first kiss being accented with ZZ Top’s “Gimme all your Lovin.” It really made it feel like our day!

I couldn’t wait to see Matt after I got ready. Since we planned every aspect of the wedding together and hadn’t really told many people, I was excited to have one big secret from him and that was my dress! I knew how badly he was dying to see me in it and he had no idea what it looked like so it was a great moment to be able to finally show him!

Matt and I met at work. We were paired up on most of our accounts together and were an awesome team from the start. After being great friends our relationship evolved and we have been together ever since! There actually was no proposal to start! We talked about eloping since we first started dating and randomly decided to make it a reality. Matt did officially propose two days before we left for our elopement in Santorini at a beautiful dock where we often sit at night to watch the stars. I wasn’t expecting it at all!

From Sandy and Odysseas Photography… Jenn and Matt met at work when they were both working for a tech start-up in Boston, MA. They became great friends and after a year or so of working together decided to start dating. After a year or so of dating, they both decided to quit their jobs and do a bit of travel. They visited a ton of places, but they absolutely fell in love with Santorini. They had always joked about eloping since they first started dating, but decided to make it a reality and elope in their favorite place, Oia in Santorini!

As wedding photographers, we have a tremendous fondness of Santorini. Its fusion of minimalism and folk architecture became the perfect canvas for us to showcase the couple’s elegance and all the nuances of their tenderness and newlywed bliss.

Being already familiar with their wedding destination, Jenn and Matt knew all about its immaculate vistas, so they picked one of the most beautiful locations near the village of Imerovigli, a late 1800’s winery that has been refurbished into a crisp boutique establishment, overlooking the conical peninsula jutting out into the caldera.
Tie the Knot created a classical-meets-whimsy intimate corner for the stunning couple’s delightful dinner. A milky white screen complemented by laurel and eucalyptus embellished, craftsman glass hanging lanterns, a gold sequin runner, sleek gold-toned flatware and clear contemporary candle holders matched the pillowy blue horizon perfectly.

Jenn held a simple, natural and classic looking, all-greenery bridal bouquet accented with honeysuckle twining bine, stephanotis, eucalypti, olive branches, white peonies, ivory viburnum and echeveria, a synthesis that was also employed as a centerpiece and translated the couple’s sophisticated style. The snowy-white cake made of vanilla bean, lemon and coconut cream was decorated with eucalyptus, peonies and akita roses.

We loved shooting Jenn and Matt’s First Look for the sparkling-eyes, the gentle gestures and the excitement of these initial moments. As the warm breeze swayed us away into the 360-degree sweeping sunset of the volcanic island, the waltzing steps of these two romantics still echoed on the flagstone path as rose petals softly started to dance along.

San Francisco Couple Elopes on Santorini Beach

We’ve featured plenty a Santorini soiree boasting views of the gorgeous underwater caldera, but did you know this Greek island also home to stunning beaches as well? The kind of beaches that are perfect for eloping, which is exactly what this San Francisco couple did with the help of Tie the Knot Santorini. Under a floral-adorned teepee from Betty Flowers Santorini they said I do with their toes in the black volcanic sand, and we get to witness their intimate day thanks to Elias Kordelakos.

From Elias KordelakosSantorini is well known of the sun bathed white houses and the cliffs of the caldera, but this super cute and in love couple from San Francisco had a different approach on their elopement. They decided to head to the beach on this cloudy day! Weather is always an un-predictable factor on your wedding day, so don’t give it more credit than deserves! To be absolutely honest, cloudy skies were Rhianna’s favourite for her light coloured eyes!

This Wedding Location Boasts the BEST Views.

Immerse yourself in the pretty captured by Cassandra Ladru and Moon & Back below!

From Santorini Glam WeddingsJust like the guests of this wedding, we too would’ve traveled across the globe to attend this wedding at Rocabella Santorini. Because when you’ve got a couple so sweet, kind, and cool like Victoria and Tim are, we’d say thats more than worth it. We started the planning process a year prior to the wedding, and I have to admit that when our journey reached this spectacular day, all I wanted was for this day to last as long as possible. Groom’s sister wanted to make as a surprise to the couple fireworks during their first dance but unfortunately the venue doesn’t allow them. The highlight of the wedding was those last few seconds of their first dance, when suddenly fireworks emerged from the hotel next door. And just like that, we had fireworks. Magic!

You’ll Have a Blue Crush on This Santorini Bridal Inspiration

We have a blue crush on this bridal session, with its blue, gold, and white color palette inspired by the natural landscape and architecture of Santorini. Dreamed up by Jacqueline Hallgarth with the help of amazing vendors including Trynh Photography, Seniman Calligraphy, and Betty Flowers Santorini, it blends modern elements, like mid-century chairs and the clean lines of La Maltese Estate, with old-world touches including elegant glassware and romantic calligraphy on hand-dyed paper. Want more? Head to the gallery for all the unbelievably gorgeous images.

From Jacqueline HallgarthHaving a post card, picturesque wedding location is quintessential for every couple planning their nuptials. On top of the highest point on the island of Santorini, La Maltese Estate rises majestically above the village of Thira. We were so inspired by the sweeping views of the crisp, white architecture and blue dome churches. This is the ideal destination for a romantic setting and couples to say “I do.”

When partnering with Trynh Krajanowski of Trynh Photography, we wanted to showcase the rich history of the island while catering to the modern couple who dreams to wed here. The romantic wedding gown by Marianna Kastrinos (a Greek wedding dress designer) was the perfect attire for an island chic wedding. The top was form fitting with lace cap sleeves, and the bottom was flowing with layers of chiffon.

La Maltese Estate has a modern setting with their clean lines and newly renovated event space, but I wanted to highlight the island’s historic charm by blending in clay-like potted dishes and crystal clear glassware from White Lilac Rentals. Anything Ruth from Seniman Calligraphy touches turns to pure perfection, so we naturally wanted to feature her work. The timeless calligraphy on hand-dyed, cotton paper and silk runner from Tono + Co softened up the tablescape. Creative Candles matched the deep color of the Santorini blues. The gold edged cake by Alexandra Cakes was topped with a Grecian crown perfect for this affair. Vintage Rentals from Weddings & Whimsy accented the event design with their bar cart and adorable cake stand. As soon as the sun began to set, this was the ideal golden hour for beautiful photos. We finished off the evening with gorgeous sunset portraits with our Bride.

An Elegant Santorini Wedding With Magnificent Views

With a cliff top location boasting magnificent views, the infamous white walls of Cycladic architecture, and a bright blue sky that faded into a pretty sunset, this wedding day in Santorini could not have been more idyllic. Betty Flowers Santorini added that extra special touch, and Phosart Photography Cinematography captured the beauty of the day. I know these photos will leave you wanting more – see the rest of the celebration in the Vault.

From Phosart Photography CinematographyWe always say that every wedding is different, like every couple is. Even more so when the couple is so much in love and has spent time on crafted and DIY details to add so many personal touches. That’s heaven for the photographer!

Our dear Stacy and Gustavo had their destination wedding at Venetsanos Winery, famous for the magnificent view as you will easily find out through their wedding photos. Their preparations started at Volcano View Hotel. The name speaks for itself!

So many emotions were captured. So many authentic smiles! The light shades of colors of the decoration and florals by Betty Flowers highlighted the scenery, all perfectly arranged by Divine Weddings. The sky with the clouds and the Santorini sunset did us a favor that day and showed all their glory and beauty! This Inspiration Session will Renew Your Dreams of Becoming a Greek Goddess

Book me a ticket to Santorini, because the styled shoot held at the 2016 Boheme Workshop has convinced me of its incomparable beauty. The team at Stella + Moscha drew their inspiration from the history, art, and architecture of the location, focusing on draping fabrics and creating a color palette complementary to the striking setting. Suzanne Li expertly photographed the beautiful session, so please excuse me while I spend my entire weekend in this gallery.

From Stella + MoschaWe are more than proud to present these amazing images from the 2016 Boheme Workshop that took place in Santorini – a fine art photography experience led by the award winning wedding photographer, Vasia Han, and supported by a fantastic team of young professionals that creates wonderful opportunities for fellow photographers with inspired styled shoots, classroom exercises, and Q+As by internationally renowned guest speakers.

The inspiration for this ethereal photoshoot came straight out of history: The Hellenistic Period took over the Greek art landscape between 232-150 BC. Characterized by motion and transparency in fabrics, movement, and draping effects, this luxurious and sophisticated era was evident in the architecture, paintings, and sculptures – a prime example of this being the amazing Winged Victory of Samothrace. We fell in love with the truly unique gown by Christos Costarellos, which gracefully blend his boheme style with the Grecian art, the creamy peach, blush, and ivory colors, as well as the earthy decor and stationery details, flawlessly photographed by Suzanne Li and translated beautifully the period’s features.

From Boheme Creative Director, Tahnee Sanders… Taking in the Santorini landscape, I could see these ideas everywhere; the repetition of endless white stairs, the clean lines of the Oia architecture, the patterns projected onto the washed white walls through shadow as the sun moved around the island.

A few words from the bride, Christine… The emotions were high. Waking up in a cave suite that was overlooking the volcanic Aegean Sea made my heart stop. It was the day that I would take his last name. The day we planned for so many months. The day we dreamed of for so many years.

From the moment we decided to get married in Santorini, Greece we knew we wanted something small and personal. Something that had a mixture of both of our unique tastes. My love for rustic and golds and Ryan’s love for art and color. The tables drenched in navy gauze, gold table wear, and of course an abundance of waterfall-like peonies flowing off the tables and down the aisle.

The planning, preparations, and all the stories from friends and family on what your wedding day will be like could never have prepared me for what I felt on that day. Dressed in my stunning Inbal Dror gown, holding my peony-filled bouquet tightly and my dads arm even tighter.

The second that I caught my soon-to-be husband’s eyes I fell in love all over again. Like the first time you know you love that person so much you will never be able to live without them. That’s what I felt. That exact feeling. 10 years later, I fell in love with him all over again. It was a rush that I will never forget. Standing next to each other and looking over to see our 3 beautiful children sitting with such big smiles and tears in their eyes was a moment that will be forever imbedded in our minds. Our first born got to carry the rings down the aisle, our daughter was our flower girl and wore a garland crown fit for a Greek goddess, and our youngest carried a sign that read “Daddy here comes mommy” on it which was a heart-stirring moment.

We wrote our own vows and read them in these perfect navy vow books that we will have for the rest of our lives. Our guest list of 30 enjoyed a champaign toast after the ceremony. cocktail hour followed while we stood on the picturesque white Santorini roof tops. We got to stare into each other’s eyes and whisper sweet things to each other all while looking out into the exquisite Santorini sunset.

Our wedding was a perfect representation of us and it was reflected in the details throughout the day. If our wedding day was any indication of what our lives will be like then we are on the most beautiful, loving, spectacular journey!

From the Bride…David and I met in college—on the very first night of my freshman year, to be exact. Though our relationship wouldn’t seriously begin until a couple of years later, he made an indelible impression on me that night. I instantly recognized in him what was in me too: a pioneering spirit, boredom with convention and a yearning for authenticity, and an untamable creative streak.

After six years of being married-without-being-married, we got engaged, and were faced with the decision of what our perfect version of a wedding would look like.

David is the owner of a mindful travel media company (shameless husband plug; is that a thing?). His obsession since childhood, travel is also his creative medium; the results of his adventures are totally brilliant works of writing and stunning photographs.

I’m a Simplified Living expert and owner of the professional organizing company Live Simply by Annie. I help people to edit and organize their spaces and lives, removing both physical and emotional clutter, and creating beautiful environments and systems that support their wellbeing.

Both of us long ago eschewed convention and the notion that there is a “right way” to live, and choose, instead, to follow our bliss and live our true purposes. Our wedding had to follow suit. It would have to include an element of adventure. It would have to be without fuss and without stress. And it would have to be a stylish affair.

It would need to be a completely beautiful occasion in a jaw-dropping and magical location, with absolutely nothing more than the essential elements, and something that felt unabashedly true to who we are as people and as a couple—what, like that’s so much to ask for?

The realization of that vision was a private ceremony at Canaves Oia Suites in Santorini, Greece, planned and styled to utter perfection by Maria of Tie The Knot Santorini, and captured by our ridiculously talented photographer, Thanasis Kaiafas. (Note: both of these individuals are the reason why our wedding was as spectacular and memorable as it was. We are fully obsessed with them, and cannot sing their praises loudly enough or recommend them more highly.)

At noon, we stood on a private balcony and recited vows, exchanged rings, and became husband and wife; the exquisite caldera view sweeping underneath and all around us.

It was our deepest desires realized, the ultimate marriage of exploration and excitement and essentialism, and so much more joyful than we imagined it could be.

Bright + Beautiful Santorini Summer Wedding

Bright and beautiful, from the dress to the shoes, and we haven’t even gotten to those views! From start to finish this destination celebration was a home run and Anna Routh, with assistance by Graham Terhune, captured it all. Santorini Glam Weddings led the charge in planning this pretty party and we’re grateful to have all these pics to soak up – head to our Vault for them all!

From Anna RouthAlexis and Mike journeyed to Santorini for a stunning destination wedding in June. The two, who met in Atlanta and traveled to Portland to start a life together, are those people who are so comfortable in their skin, genuinely happy to be together and the most fun to be around. Alexis is 75% Greek, so when planning the wedding she knew her guests would likely have to travel to be a part of the day (she’s from Florida and they live in Portland), so why not give them an excuse to really get away to somewhere special?

Santorini couldn’t have been a more perfect setting – the beautiful blue sea, the stunning calderas, and the white and blue everywhere was like a photographer’s dream. Alexis’s style is flawless – her dress is one of the most beautiful I’ve ever photographed, sexy yet sweet, her Jimmy Choo shoes were the picture of elegance, and her hair and make up came together to create a picture of the most stunning Greek goddess. Her vision for the reception with fresh florals and even some pieces hand-painted by the bride, was brought to life with the help of the wonderful Santorini Glam Wedding.

The weekend spent with these two in Santorini was such a blast and the perfect reflection of their style and their love.

Santorini Engagement Session

One place on my dream destination list that I’m just dying to cross off? You guessed it, Santorini. Until I find myself booking a ticket there, I’ll just stare at these stunning captures from Melanie Nedelko. Escape the ordinary and see it all in The Vault!

From Melanie NedelkoFor me there is no other location for an engagement shoot that´s more beautiful and more unique than Santorini! This wonderful, quaint Greek island with its blue church domes definitely is one of the most gorgeous locations I’ve ever seen in real life. Pictorial wind mills, cute kittens and the most amazing sunsets await you.

It’s been a dream of mine for a long time now to explore this volcanic island by myself. So when I got an email from Selena and Jacob from L.A. this April where they told me about how they are going to travel Europe including Santorini for some weeks my heart just skipped a beat.

Shortly before their departure Jacob surprisingly proposed to Selena and it became clear pretty quick that they wanted to have an engagement shooting on Santorini. After traveling through Italy, Croatia, Slovenia and Montenegro they arrived full of unforgettable impressions on the Greek island to meet me there.

I was more than just excited and ever since I met them in person I couldn’t wait for this day to come.

Jacob and Selena rented an amazing Airbnb Apartment and from its rooftop terrace we had this breathtaking view over the city Oia. We met early in the morning to start shooting. In the mornings this city is enjoyably quiet, only some fisher boats and straying cats cross your path through the charming alleys of Oia.

What else can I tell you…This engagement shooting was just incredible. Jacob and Selena interacted so lovingly and easily in front of my camera, it was a pleasure taking their pictures. I could have continued photographing them all day long if the sun hadn’t become to hot and tourists hadn’t spread out into the city. Within an hour Oia awakes and its bustle takes its usual course.

I really hope that I may return to Santorini some day. Because if you have been there once, it is all over with you…This island won’t let you go again. But enough said – enjoy my pictures of an adorable couple and a stunning backdrop!

A Wedding Squad We Dream of Being a Part Of

Not only does this rooftop cocktail and floral crown party look so fun but it’s super chic too! From the fresh flower decorated cake to the jewel-toned geodes, I’m sold on every design detail chosen by this posse of planners and photographers. With the talented likes of Santorini Glam Weddings, Tie The Knot Santorini and Santorini Bliss Weddings, it should be no surprise. Anna Roussos and Sandy and Odysseas Photography captured all the fun and this Vault gallery is what makes this Wednesday pretty great.

From the Girls… We are so lucky to be working with friends! Here in Santorini we have created a wonderful group of wedding vendor friends! We share so many professional and personal moments together. This year we decided to create a new tradition, to celebrate the beginning of wedding season by throwing a cocktail party for ourselves!

Our day started with a stroll at the stunning village of Oia, in Santorini. Us girls, all dressed up, walked in the picturesque paths of Oia and actually being in front of the camera for once was a terrific experience! Anna Roussos had a double role this time, she was both in front and behind the camera, taking these beautiful photographs of the day with the help of lovely Sandy and Odysseas.

Closer to the sunset time, the best time on a summer day, we went to Sphinx Wine bar in Oia, a listed 1850 mansion, with a cellar including more than 300 labels of local, Greek and international wines. Great wine, delicious canapés and creative cocktails. What else could we ask for?

Maria from Tie the Knot in Santorini, Evita from Santorini Glam Weddings and Manto from Santorini Bliss Weddings (or we can just put “us wedding designers”) designed a fresh and elegant tablescape with all the lovely details that we like to design for our lovely brides. We loved the super yummy cocktails and spoiled ourselves with Alexandra’s divine dessert tapas, and a lemon ginger tart decorated with fresh flowers! We even assembled a flower bar, where we created flower crowns, and flowers cones, having super amusing moments. The flowers, from Myrto and Betty Flowers, were our favourite; king proteas, peonies, hydrangeas and blue thistles.

It really was a day to remember! We had so much fun creating and celebrating at the same time! Cannot wait to repeat next year!

A Sunset Destination Wedding in Santorini Full of Magic + Romance

Even if you’ve had your dream day planned since you were a little girl, this magical Santorini affair will convince you to ditch those plans for a destination wedding in the Greece. And if you do, be sure to hire the White Ribbon Boutique Events Coordination, the talent behind this romantic day. Head to The Vault to experience all the beauty for yourself, thanks to Tyme Photography and With Heart Films!

From White Ribbon Boutique Events CoordinationThe destination wedding of Sasha and Nicholas took place in the Cycladic Island of Santorini, Greece. The beautiful bride is Australian, the groom has origins from Greece. Therefore this wedding was a greater celebration of homecoming with family and friends uniting from two far away corners of the world to join the couple’s union.

The ceremony was held in the main square of Oia during sunset, where the bride arrived with her family and close friends in a procession on foot accompanied by local musicians performing traditional wedding songs.

The couple opted for a romantic decor but at the same time they wanted to incorporate the colors and natural elements found on the Cycladic island of Santorini. Their stationery was the color of the blue domed chapels and local houses while for their flowers they mixed pastel pink garden roses with vibrant fuchsia bougainvillea. The lovely bridesmaids wore blush dresses while the bride looked stunning in a lace Pallas Couture gown.

This beautiful day would not have been possible without the excitement, warmth and love of the couple’s friends and family who made the whole day the most memorable for the lovely couple.
