Two World Travelers Wed in a Thailand Ceremony Overflowing With Hundreds of White Orchids

If orchids are your favorite bloom, then this wedding is about to be your latest obsession. Having traveled the world together, it only make sense that Jennifer and Neil would tie the knot in an exotic, can’t-be-beat destination! Thailand was their perfect place and The Wedding Bliss Thailand was their wedding planning wizard . They exchanged vows under a floating canopy of white orchids arranged by IAMFLOWER and danced the night away surrounded by strings of romantic fairy lights. Every moment was captured flawlessly by Blush Wedding Photography – live vicariously through this dreamy day at the full gallery!

From The Wedding Bliss ThailandJennifer and Neil, two adventurous souls with a joined love for travel knew that their wedding had to be special.

Living in Vancouver, Canada, the couple got engaged in Indonesia and thought it symbolic to then tie the knot in South-East Asia as well, finally deciding on Thailand, the country of warmest hospitality, delicious food and most gorgeous of views.

With the theme of Classic Romance, the wedding was set in a private villa facing Phuket’s west coast with amazing views of the ocean. The wedding design used soft nudes, almond, and white tones, creating a grand, yet welcoming atmosphere for the guests.

Combining reference to classical art and modern geometrical minimalism, The Wedding Bliss Thailand designed their wedding arch using transparent acrylic structure and white flower blooms. By adding golden elements the design gained more elevated and classical look, but soft fabrics like champagne silk never allowed it to get too stiff.

This Thailand Wedding Has Us Falling in Love With Floral Arbors All Over Again

We’re still not sure which is more beautiful, the panoramic ceremony views of the Andaman Sea in Thailand or the towering floral arbor lush with pink and cream blooms by IAMFLOWER. But, there’s one thing we know for sure – this wedding is a total STUNNER. The blushing bride had 3 equally gorgeous outfit changes, one for the ceremony and two for the reception, while her bridesmaids celebrated alongside in matching mauve gowns. Guests dined under a canopy of twinkle lights and cascading greenery at the reception – the entire day went off without a hitch thanks to The Wedding Bliss Thailand! Check out the full gallery captured by Jada Poon Photography to see all the pretty…

From The Wedding Bliss ThailandMonica and Rex met back in 2008 in London where they both studied at Imperial college. One of their romantic dates was having a picnic on Primrose Hill overlooking London on a beautiful autumn afternoon.

During their trip to Iceland for their 100 months “anniversary” as a couple, they hiked to the top of the waterfall called Systrafoss with picturesque and romantic scenery overlooking the Southern part of Iceland. Rex found a quiet in a spot, knelt on one knee and the rest is history.

Monica and Rex came up with all overall elegant, rustic and timeless romantic wedding theme, combining light and airy colours like blush, pearled ivory, nude, with accents of green and burgundy. They chose February, the month of love, to celebrate their big day, taking place at the breathtaking panoramic views of the Andaman Sea, Villa Aye.

While working on the wedding design, we made sure every detail was well intended and reflected the couple’s aesthetic. Bride specially requested for her favourite flowers to be included in floral compositions: Keira garden roses, Pink astilbe, Ranunculus “Hanoi”, spray roses, Cafe latte and Chocolate scabiosa, — the overall result turned out elegant and classy, with a slight rustic charm. The reception was under the light brown wooden structure marquee, set up with nude drapes to soften the edges of the beams, hanging light bulbs and greenery vines.

From the Bride… Andrew proposed during our hike in Sri Lanka to the top of Adam’s Peak. It was definitely one of our most memorable trips and experiences. We wanted to continue this theme through to our wedding by having a clifftop ceremony with a woodsy rustic theme. The Wedding Bliss Thailand and IAMFLOWER worked magic creating a luxurious and unique wedding representing us in the most meaningful way that we are still in awe by today. They created exactly what we envisioned, if not more! Andrew and I deeply value meaningful experiences with family and friends and knew we wanted a more intimate environment for our wedding. The size, quality and luxury of Ayara Kamala was perfect for bringing that aspect of our dream to life. Masha and the Ayara Kamala Resort & Spa team were immensely helpful and attentive. They were also extremely accommodating which made the stay and big day perfect for us and all of our guests. We feel infinitely blessed for everyone who took part in our big day, and sharing such incredible memories that we will cherish forever. Blush Photography beautifully captured the memory and essence of our nuptials that will be lasting and shared with generations to come.

From The Wedding Bliss Thailand… Thailand was a dream destination for Edwina and Andrew, and what can be better than celebrating one of the most important day in their life at such a special place? Keeping a very intimate atmosphere, we set to work on a wedding that would uniquely reflect their personalities, but would also have a timeless beautiful look to it. Inspired by bride’s love of burgundy color, we combined it with neutral hues with lots of natural greenery to create a very organic, woodsy look with romantic flair. A stunning setting on the cliff at Phuket’s west coast provided a great variety of photo backdrops. Ceremony was set at the top of Ayara Kamala resort, while for cocktails we transported the guests down to their private beach, where they enjoyed sunset time with cocktails at casual but elegant beach mat seating. We enhanced evening look of reception dinner by throwing in a bit more prominent splash of color, and propping romantic atmosphere with magical fairy-light canopy. It was a perfect evening!

The Most Romantic Thailand-Set Wedding You’ll Ever See

When you’ve got amazing wedding vendors in your lineup – looking at you, The Wedding Bliss Thailand, IAMFLOWER, and Thecablookfotolab – there’s no question the big day will be perfection. Opting for a second celebration to follow their Hong Kong nuptials, Irena and Aaron looped in their dream-team to bring a destination wedding on Phuket island to life…and the gallery pretty much says it all. Minimalist romance, a candlelit dinner, and memories to last forever.

From Wedding Bliss… Glamorous and romantic couple, Irena and Aaron chose Phuket to host their second wedding celebrations with family and friends, following a larger and a more formal reception in Hong Kong.

Being a jeweler, Irena is very detail-oriented, and throughout the planning process we worked to create an organic and romantic look of the day. From leafy bouquets to candlelit dinner tables, everything was about minimalistic and nature-inspired beauty.

The bride looked amazing in her elegant yet sexy Katie May gown complemented with a classic Pronovias veil and pearl jewelry. The reception dinner, originally planned to be outside, had to be moved last minute indoors, yet we preserved the charm of intimate candlelit dinner with the help of lights and flowy drapes.

From the Bride… Aaron and I flew to Phuket with our family and wedding party one week prior wedding. Surprisingly, we weren’t as stressed as we thought we would be, and it must be the beautiful sunshine in Phuket! We actually had some fun time to ourselves chilling by the pool in our private villa.

Our guests started to arrive day by day from all around the world. It put a smile on my face to see all our guests having the best time on this beautiful island. It is amazing to have our family and friends greeting and hugging us as a collective display of their blessing. There is just nothing better than being surrounded by the people who bring you joy and hearty congratulations.

Unfortunately, the day before our wedding when we thought everything was going ever so smoothly, one thing we have never thought of happened – the passing of Thailand’s King. With our utmost respect, it was still hard to overcome the fact that a great number of changes were to apply to our wedding due to no celebrations were allowed during the mourning time. For instance, we had to cancel fireworks and our dinner which was originally held on the lawn by the beach under the stars had to move to indoors. We were really disappointed as we spent over a year planning our wedding. However, thanks to the amazing wedding team at Renaissance Phuket & Spa Hotel, they managed to still help us achieve the wedding of our dreams. We got to have our wedding ceremony outdoors as planned, with gorgeous set up and violists playing the music that Aaron took months to choose and arrange. We exchanged our personalised vows under the witness of our beloved parents and dearest family and friends. The weather had never been better. It was ever so dreamy and oh so perfect!

Because of this “unexpected incident”, our wedding became extra memorable and now Aaron and I have a great story to tell. We learnt that as long as we love each other, there is not any obstacle that we cannot overcome together. If things could have been different, I’d still not want anything to change on our wedding day. Because everything turned out perfectly and I love every bit of it!

A Beach in Thailand Was Their Engagement Session Backdrop!

What happens when you find yourself in Thailand with the one you love? You head to the beach for a shoot with Love Is My Favorite Color, of course. Think toes in the sand, salt in the air, and more crazy romantic moments than you can count. Go see it all in The Vault!

From Love Is My Favorite ColorSometimes we are so excited about something that we kind of miss having that fuzzy feeling when you have finally made your vision come to life. We were really looking forward to this engagement shoot.

Apart from being a drop dead gorgeous couple, Tara and Anton are the kind of people that inspire you to be a better person. The beauty they have inside , the kindness in every single gesture, the constant smiles on their faces, their ability to always give the very best of them to everyone & all the time and of course, the love they have for each other, is unbelievable. So yes, we had the perfect couple!

Tara’s family owns a Villa by the Layan beach so it was a pretty natural choice to have their engagement shoot right there. We wanted them to feel relaxed and to be able to show their incredible personalities. Having them inside the water was also a must. Because that’s what people do when they are at an amazing beach in Thailand!

The result was this sweet and sexy engagement shoot that we will forever remember as one of the most treasured ones in our hearts.

Romantic + Fashionable Thailand Wedding Inspiration

Rainbows and sunshine aren’t guaranteed every day and that even includes your wedding day. So when drops began to fall during this shoot at Sandra Åberg’s  “A Touch of Fashion” photography workshop, well, they went with it. And the results? Gorgeous as ever. With The Wedding Bliss Thailand leading all planning and design and I Am Flower decking out the venue with beautiful blooms, these pics before us are stunning, chic and have us dreaming of romantic destinations; more in our Vault here!

From Sandra Åberg PhotographyThis is a styled shoot that came out of my “A Touch of Fashion Workshop” in Phuket, Thailand with the incredible wedding planners The Wedding Bliss Thailand. The ceremony at the pool was nothing short of incredible – in the middle of the ceremony a storm started – but the bride and groom were both already soaked and I honestly wished right then and there that this was a real wedding – to embrace the moments like this good or bad and make the absolute most of it is what marriage is all about. Nature can never be controlled, but as luck would have it after the storm the sky opened up and the most incredible light flooded the scene making for some beautiful images.

From The Wedding Bliss ThailandCreating a dream wedding was a lot of fun to work on! As we’re based on Phuket we always get inspired by its breathtaking views of the infinite sea. There’s always a special joy in being able to create dream weddings for our couples in such surroundings. But when it came to defining what the dream wedding is for us, we suddenly were unanimous in our vision, and decided to create a whimsical, yet classy ceremony in the incredible Ocean’s 11 private villa on Phuket’s east coast. Getting married in the infinity pool overlooking amazing Phang Nga Bay — sounds fascinating, right?

‘Endless Dream’ was the inspiration behind this shoot, and ironically, our gorgeous model happened to be named Dream! A gorgeous island girl meeting her Prince Charming from a far-away land and falls in love — almost a Pocahontas story, that was a part of our inspiration as well. The clean, almost minimalist style of the villa drew us in the direction of fresh, natural tones, so we chose white as a basis of the overall decoration. The choice of flowers was not left to a chance either — we decided to use all local flowers, to draw attention to Thailand culture and its authentic vibe.

Relaxed, Elegant Thailand Destination Wedding

After saying “YES” on holiday in Thailand, these Brisbane-based cuties decided to continue their love affair with the special spot and say “I do” there as well. Ana Lui captured every paradise-perfect moment that was infused with a modern, minimalist design and her pics are our saving grace this Tuesday morning. See more in our Vault right this way!

From Ana Lui Photography… Bec and Ben are both based in Brisbane, the capital city of QLD, Australia. Bec works for an International Publisher in a Content Management and Global Operations role, and Ben is working in a Business Development role for a new start-up. They had met back in 2011 through mutual friends – it was a chance meeting, with both of them deciding to tag along with their friends for a quick drink at the Limes Hotel. They got engaged in April 2014 while holidaying in Phuket, Thailand. While enjoying a two week holiday at The Pullman Arcadia, Ben proposed about half way through the trip. He had arranged for champagne to be delivered to the Sunset Deck and the new happy couple watched the sunset and enjoyed some bubbles. Right then and there they knew they wanted a destination wedding.

“We wanted to spend quality time with our guests, while everyone was in holiday mode. We had been the year before, and had fallen in love with Thailand. We toyed around with Europe and America, but decided to stick with Asia due to its proximity to Australia,” says Bec.

They turned to Danielle of White + White for help, an incredible wedding planner and expert based in Brisbane, in conjunction with Isla and Smith based in the UK.

“After reading a few wedding blogs, everyone recommended using a wedding planner for destination weddings, and with hectic jobs, I didn’t need any further convincing! It was the best decision we’ve ever made – for us, it made the entire process a dream and we could have never have achieved what the ladies pulled together. I had to continually pinch myself on the night, it was breath-taking. Danielle and Lisa were brilliant to work with, and are the masters of the industry,” says Bec.

I always dreamed of shooting a wedding in Thailand so when Lisa from Isla and Smith emailed me asking if I want to shoot Bec’s and Ben’s elopement I jumped up with excitement and after a brief chat with the bride to be we booked the flights and packed our camera bags. I am based in Ibiza but up for traveling any day! I am so happy to have been there with Bec and Ben, and also to work alongside super talented and crazy organized Danielle and Lisa!

When I was shooting Bec getting ready I couldn’t wait for her to put her stunning dress on! Her dress was designed by Gwendolynne Burkin of Gwendolynne based in Melbourne.

Bec says she has been looking for a perfect wedding gown and simply fell in love with Gwendolynne designs. “She was amazing to work with, so much passion and so much care. The team were so professional and scheduled around work travel to make my life easier. It was such a beautiful and detailed dress, took months of stitching and hand beading, but it was easy to wear and looked spectacular,” Bec recalls.

The wedding venue was dressed with native Thai flowers such as orchids and lush greenery, and Danielle and Lisa (the Event Planners) used them in abundance in the ceremony and reception. They focused on clean, minimalist colour palette to compliment the venue. Traditionally, the style of flowers in Thailand are tightly arranged with lots of ribbon, but Bec decided to strip everything back to have a much more relaxed, effortless vision, with hand tied orchid stems and hanging orchids in watercolour shades. The result was breathtaking! The girls also created a bespoke tablescape design, by incorporating clear glass wine bottles with tapered candles, lush greenery and stylish letterpress menus with silver foiling to announce the abundance of (incredible) food that was coming.

Danielle sourced Ben Jay, an English-born DJ based in Phuket, and booked local fire dancers who did the show just before midnight.

“We had planned a week of events for our guests, so built a website to keep everyone in the loop as details were finalized. We used the website to house accommodation and flight options, as well as information about Thailand and what to expect. We gave everyone as year’s notice (via a ‘save the date’) to give people plenty of time to save and prepare; and to keep people’s interest, we sent everyone a series of postcards to invite them to the different activities,” says Bec.

Everything was simply perfect. Venue, food, decorations, dress and the vibe with all the guests were super relaxed and having fun! It was an incredible experience to photograph their wedding day as well as the boat trip around the bay of Phuket. I shot hybrid – both digital and film – and I’m very happy with the results.
