A Joyful, Gucci Flora-Inspired Garden Party Wedding in Charleston

The Planning
Design / Vibe / Vision

Inspired by Gucci’s Flora collection, Mimi and Kevin planned a joyful garden party wedding full of bright colors and botanical prints. The pair tied the knot in a walled garden surrounded by oak trees and ivy with a curtain of pink and white blooms behind them. After the ceremony, the newlyweds and their wedding party hopped on a vintage pink bus named Lucy to take photos in a picturesque garden filled with blossoming shrubs and Spanish moss-covered trees — a perfect Charleston portrait!

Proposal Story
High school sweethearts Mimi and Kevin fell for each other in typical teenager fashion: pool parties, country concerts, and summertime shenanigans. Though they attended the same school throughout their childhood, it wasn’t until Mimi’s sophomore year and Kevin’s junior year that their love story blossomed. When Kevin left for college, they maintained a long-distance relationship until Mimi (and her twin sister) joined him on campus the following year. Two cross-country moves and a shared pup later, Kevin whisked Mimi away for a weekend in Charleston and popped the question.
The Fashion
Wedding Gown

Mimi dazzled in a flowy strapless gown with white petal appliques and a bouquet of pink, yellow, and blue flowers. For the later part of the evening, Mimi changed into a sleek minidress with floral details to join her guests on the dance floor — masquerade masks and all!

Bridesmaid Dresses
Mimi's bridesmaids wore pink floral-print dresses to match their bouquets of pink garden roses.
Groomsman Attire

Kevin and his crew sported navy suits and pink ties.

The Details
Food & Drink
Mimi and Kevin gave their guests a true Southern hospitality greeting with rose-themed welcome boxes featuring rosé, chips, candy, and floral cookies.
Florals & Decor

Reception tables featured grey linens, eggshell blue candles, pink menus, and glass lamps while bud vases of colorful blooms added more pops of color throughout. Cloth napkins with Mimi and Kevin’s custom monogram graced each setting.

Wedding Cake
The couple's three-tiered wedding cake featured delicate icing flowers reminiscent of an oil painting.
Special Detail #1

At the reception, Gucci Flora wallpaper brought a lively splash of color to the bar and seating chart, which hung personalized bells for guests to find their tables. Throughout the night, bells rang throughout the space, calling for a kiss from the bride and groom!
