An Enchanting Blush and Ivory Lake Como Celebration at Relais Villa Vittoria

The Planning
Design / Vibe / Vision
Our vision for the wedding was to create an intimate and romantic atmosphere with a modern edge. Inspired by the breathtaking beauty of Lake Como, we focused on lush florals, soft lighting, and sophisticated details to create a warm and inviting celebration. Every element was thoughtfully curated to reflect our love and the beauty of the surroundings.
Proposal Story
Sean proposed at Kincaid’s, a waterfront restaurant in the San Francisco Bay Area, with a breathtaking view of the water. His immediate family, along with Kristine’s parents, who had traveled from Australia for her birthday and Thanksgiving, were present for this intimate moment. Sean surprised Kristine with a heartfelt toast before asking her to marry him, marking the beginning of their lifelong journey together.
The Fashion
Wedding Gown
Kristine’s gown, designed by Eddie Kay, was a mermaid-style dress that effortlessly combined elegance with modern sophistication. The strapless design, delicate lace details, and a flowing skirt made it the perfect fit for a romantic Lake Como wedding. Kristine’s getting ready robe was a romantic number from Shop Le Rose. The gown and robe captured both her natural beauty and the timeless elegance of the day.
Bridesmaid Dresses
The bridesmaids wore soft blush-toned Birdy Grey dresses that offered a variety of flattering silhouettes, ensuring each bridesmaid felt comfortable and beautiful. The dresses harmonized perfectly with the overall romantic aesthetic, creating a cohesive and elegant look while allowing each woman’s individuality to shine through.
Groomsman Attire
Sean’s custom-made suit from Suit Supply was a modern take on elegance, featuring a white jacket and tailored fit that made a statement. The groomsmen wore classic black tuxedos with black bow ties, providing a timeless contrast to Sean’s unique suit, all while complementing the sophisticated atmosphere of the celebration.
The Details
Food & Drink
The evening began with an indulgent antipasti hour featuring a selection of Italian meats, cheeses, and fresh accompaniments. Guests were then treated to a four-course meal highlighting the best regional offerings from Italy. The main course featured creamy risotto and tender beef, paired perfectly with red and white wines to complement the flavors. Dessert included a traditional tiramisu, bringing a sweet and authentic touch to the celebration.
Florals & Decor
The venue was beautifully adorned with lush greenery, adding a fresh and natural touch to the space. Elegant blush and white florals were featured throughout, with glass cylinders and flickering candles placed on long banquet-style tables. The overall décor created a warm, romantic atmosphere, seamlessly blending the beauty of the venue with the elegance of the celebration.
Wedding Cake
The wedding cake was a modern and minimalist design, with white fondant and delicate blush petals. The cake’s simple yet elegant aesthetic perfectly matched the wedding’s romantic theme. The layers of light sponge and creamy filling, with a hint of raspberry, made it as delicious as it was beautiful.
Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs
A highlight of the evening was when Kristine’s father, a highly esteemed musician, performed a special piano piece, accompanied by a talented violinist. For the reception, the couple’s first dance was to All of Me, and the music continued with a lively mix of songs that kept guests dancing and celebrating late into the night.
