An Elevated Wedding Aesthetic With a Relaxed Feel at Vidanta in Mexico
The couple wanted their wedding aesthetic to feel elevated, but still relaxed. Think "Vogue wedding photo shoot mixed with a picnic in a secret garden." Keeping these ideas in mind, the couple mixed the two themes as they went! For example, her bouquet had a very 'wild garden' vibe, but her dress had a dramatic, softly-beaded cape. The tables were adorned with crisp linens, but each napkin was situated with a sprig of lavender tied with twine. Straw mats made up the floor under the tent, while chandeliers hung from the ceiling.
Jack and Danielle met many years ago when they attended rival high schools and happened to end up at the same party. Jack asked for Danielle's number and she gave it - but never heard from him! A year or so later, having forgotten all about the encounter, she received a call from a random friend she hadn't heard from in a while. She mentioned she was with a guy who knew me and needed to talk to me. The next voice I heard on the line was Jack. He apologized profusely for never calling me, as his phone was run over by a car that night (this was before any sort of cloud backup capabilities). He invited me to a party he was hosting over winter break, and the rest is history!
The bride wore a stunning gown by Lee Grebenau adorned with a dramatic, softly-beaded cape.
Bridesmaids wore their choice of neutral colored gowns in a mix of floral patterns and solids in lavender and blush tones.
The floral design of this wedding is a lush celebration of romance, blending delicate pastel hues with rich jewel tones. The breathtaking ceremony arch is a cascade of blooming wisteria, roses, and hydrangeas in shades of lavender, blush pink, and deep burgundy, creating a whimsical yet opulent atmosphere. Verdant greenery weaves through the arrangement, adding depth and texture to the design. The reception tablescape mirrors this elegance, featuring a beachfront setting adorned with low floral garlands of lilac, peach, and soft ivory blooms. Clear cylindrical candles stand among the florals, casting a warm glow over the arrangement. Paired with transparent chairs and soft ivory linen, the decor feels airy and ethereal, perfectly complementing the ocean breeze and sandy backdrop. This design seamlessly blends natural beauty with a refined aesthetic, setting the stage for a wedding that feels both timeless and enchanted.
The couple opted out of a traditional cake cutting and, rather, served their guests an exquisite array of pastries.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm glow over the pristine sands of Nuevo Vallarta, a magical scene unfolded. A long, white banquet table, adorned with a garland of vibrant flowers in hues of blush pink, lavender, and coral, stretches out like a ribbon against the shore. Crystal chandeliers twinkle overhead, their light dancing on the meticulously set table, complete with gleaming silverware and delicate glassware. Guests gather, their laughter mingling with the gentle rhythm of the waves, as they prepare to dine al fresco under a canopy of stars. The air is filled with the intoxicating scent of the ocean and the sweet perfume of the floral arrangements. This is a wedding where romance and nature intertwine, creating an unforgettable experience for all who witness it.
