Moody Garden Party Wedding With Architectural Flow At Biltmore Arizona

The Planning
Design / Vibe / Vision

Riley and Juan drew inspiration from the iconic Frank Lloyd Wright architecture of their wedding venue, the Arizona Biltmore, to create a textural, moody garden party atmosphere. This historic Arizona landmark, known for its unique design and old Hollywood glamour, was also sentimental to Riley, who has childhood memories of visiting the space with her father. Its beautifully designed gardens and corridors allowed the couple and their guests to wander the landscape and capture stunning photos with ease.

Proposal Story
Riley and Juan’s story began at an advertising agency, where they first met as colleagues. What started as a warm friendship blossomed into something deeper after a year of getting to know one another. Five years later, during a visit to see Riley’s parents in Scottsdale, Arizona, Juan decided it was the perfect moment to propose. The occasion was carefully planned. Juan’s parents traveled from Las Vegas to join Riley’s family for the special visit, making the moment even more meaningful. The proposal took place in the intimacy of Riley’s childhood home — private and heartfelt, just as Riley had always envisioned.
The Fashion
Wedding Gown

Riley wore a gown by Galia Lahav featuring the brand’s signature fitted silhouette, a plunging neckline, and tender-hearted floral embellishments.

Bridesmaid Dresses
Riley's bridesmaids complemented this textural dream in dresses adorned with dimensional floral applique.
The Details
Food & Drink

The couple's signature cocktails included a spicy margarita and a Moscow mule.

Florals & Decor
The ceremony was set against a picturesque backdrop of palms, cacti, and a garden fountain, framed by a floral arch. Riley collaborated with her florist to develop the concept of a "moody garden party," moving away from traditional garden tea party hues. Her bouquets featured anemones with black centers, muted roses, washed-out mauves, and hints of cerulean blue, bringing the vision to life. The reception was thoughtfully designed to feel both elegant and relaxed, with outdoor dining beneath a semi-sheer draped tent. Floral chandeliers were adorned with dangling crystals and greenery.
Wedding Cake

The evening concluded with a dainty two-tiered wedding cake, accompanied by late-night treats of cannolis and churros.

Special Detail #1
For a personal touch, guests signed an Arizona Biltmore coffee table book, intended to remain on display in the couple's home as a cherished keepsake.
