Proposal Story

Millicent and Alexander met, as many couples do, online. Millicent, growing up in Ghana, was a big soccer fan and included a picture wearing a Barcelona soccer jersey. Alexander noticed and was a fan as well, and they immediately bonded, finding each other easy to talk to. The night of their proposal was on Valentine's Day, a freezing night in Long Island. Millicent noticed Alex was being strange – “He was being so strange! I kept wondering why he was insisting on picking up a bag that had his writing materials in it and encouraging me to wear a dress. I almost cancelled, because it was so cold and I wanted to stay home!” Alexander convinced her to brave the elements, and they went to their favorite sushi restaurant, into a private room, and enjoyed some appetizers. Alex excused himself under the guise of going to therestroomm but instead went up front and told them not to interrupt them. Millicent was shocked by his proposal as she assumed it would happen when they were on vacation in Greece, and she is hard to surprise. “It was perfect!”

Florals & Decor

“We wanted a very soft and classically romantic look". The planner For the design, her planner, Eileen, worked with Biagio’s Florist to create a look that was elegant and timeless. The bride’s bouquet was soft, flowing, and romantic, a natural gathered look in soft whites, blush, pale mauve, and pastel pink. Ceremony flowers included two pillars of cascading florals that spilled into the ceremony area, forming a frame to romantically accent the ceremony and the couple. Flowers included garden roses and soft colors of antique cream, blush, mauve, and light pink, creating an ethereal frame to the ceremony. Centerpieces were a combination of a cluster of raised candles with low, ow elegant centerpieces in soft pinks, creams, blush, mauve, and antique beige. The staircase was a combination of romantic pillar candles and lush florals, using combinations of antique blush roses,cream-white hydrangea soft pink dahlias. I highlighted the table with gold beaded chargers and individual personalized menus and place cards to create a formal and elegant look to the table.
