Quiet Luxury Wedding Aesthetic Come to Life at Graydon Hall Manor

Elegant, classy, timeless. "Quiet luxury" - beautiful but not over the top. We wanted to transport guests from the heart of Toronto to Europe for the night.

Proposal Story

Ben and I have known each other since we were kids - we met at school when we were 6 years old. We got together 15 years later, and after 5 years of dating, Ben planned the most beautiful picnic where he proposed. To make sure that I was dressed up, he told me we were going out for drinks on a rooftop and had to make a quick stop first. Since it was June, I chose a nice summer dress (that happened to be white). When we got to the park, he led me around the corner where I saw the picnic, and he popped the question right away! We celebrated over charcuterie and champagne, followed by a celebration at home with our immediate families.

The Details
Wedding Cake
In the spirit of knowing each other since we were kids, we ordered our cake from a local shop called Cakes by Robert where many of our friends had cake making/decorating birthday parties growing up. While this was a fun homage to our childhood, it was also an AMAZING cake and our guests couldn't stop raving about how delicious it was - not to mention beautifully decorated with a flower pattern to match our floral theme.
Special Detail #1

We wanted to celebrate and highlight our Jewish heritage, so it was important for us to have a traditional Chuppah as part of our wedding. The Chuppah blew us away and was the ultimate centerpiece of the venue. We had envisioned it to be all white and floral-forward - the Rachel A. Clingen team brought that to life in a way that went far beyond anything we could have dreamed up! In the spirit of knowing each other since we were kids, we ordered our cake from a local shop called Cakes by Robert, where many of our friends had cakecake-makingg/decorating birthday parties growing up. We also wanted to add a few elements that were interactive throughout the day/night - we had an oyster station during cocktail hour and a saxophone player who came out during the party as a fun surprise for our guests.

Special Detail #2

The grand piano is worth mentioning as well. The reason we chose to have it is that I played piano growing up, and Ben’s late grandmother taught piano,o so we thought it was a special and fitting touch for us.
