Aimee and Ladson’s wedding day vision was centered around creating an unforgettable celebration for their family and friends. They wanted an epic party that not only honored their love but also gave their guests an experience to remember in two of their favorite places—Charleston and Kiawah Island. From the lively rehearsal and welcome party at the South Carolina Aquarium to the elegant ceremony and reception at The River Course on Kiawah Island, every detail was carefully curated to reflect their love for the Lowcountry. The weekend wrapped up with a heartfelt farewell brunch at the Osprey Clubhouse, allowing guests to soak in the beauty of Kiawah one last time. The couple’s thoughtful design choices, vibrant florals, and seamless blend of fun and elegance perfectly embodied their desire to celebrate in style while cherishing the people who matter most.

Aimee and Ladson crafted a delicious summer menu that highlighted seasonal flavors and Southern favorites. Guests enjoyed a refreshing watermelon salad to start, followed by a mouthwatering duo of beef tenderloin and crab cakes. During the cocktail hour, a variety of passed hors d'oeuvres, including oyster shooters, beef tartare, and chicken and waffles, offered a fun and flavorful nod to the couple’s Southern venue.

Florals & Decor

Aimee and Ladson’s floral design was a stunning tribute to the soft, dreamy sunsets of Kiawah Island. They chose a palette of pinks, peaches, purples, and blues to bring this vision to life. Just one of the showstoppers of the day was their breathtaking floral arch, designed in a graceful ombre effect that transitioned from vibrant pink to soft peach to crisp white, creating the perfect romantic backdrop for their vows.

Wedding Cake

Aimee and Ladson chose a simple yet elegant confetti wedding cake adorned with fresh flowers that perfectly complemented their overall design. In addition to the cake, they treated their guests to a selection of their favorite desserts, including snickerdoodle cookies, key lime pie, s’mores cake, and strawberry shortcake. This sweet variety added a personal touch and ensured there was something for everyone to enjoy.

Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs

The couple incorporated traditional Irish music throughout their day. The ceremony began with the stirring sounds of bagpipes, setting a heartfelt and meaningful tone. During cocktail hour, an Irish musical duo played lively tunes, adding an authentic cultural touch and creating a festive atmosphere that celebrated the groom’s roots.

Aimee and Ladson’s seating chart was a personal and unique reflection of their journey together, featuring some of their favorite travel destinations since the start of their relationship. Each table was named after a special place they’ve visited, including memorable spots like the Bronx Zoo, the Cliffs of Moher, the Grand Tetons, Yankee Stadium, Eilean Donan Castle, and the Great Smoky Mountains. This thoughtful touch added a layer of sentiment to their celebration, giving guests a glimpse into the adventures that have shaped their love story.
