Sunshine and Delicate Pastels by the Meadow at Van Dusen Gardens
It is a summer afternoon in the meadow with beautiful greenery and flowers. Sunny and delicate pastel colours reflect the happiness of the summer season.

There were canapes passed around during cocktail hour and open bar throughout the night. There were special local beers that were specially chosen by our groom. All the food and drinks were provided by Savoury City, a caterer that focuses on seasonal ingredients sourced from local farms. They create beautiful, bespoke menus in a relaxed elegance style.
The bridal bouquet was done in the color palette with plenty of unique blooms and textures. A natural and relaxed design, complete with a beautiful yellow silk ribbon. Bridesmaids' florals and boutonnieres are also designed to complete the bridal bouquet. The ceremony took place at Heron Lake, right under a large, majestic willow tree. We chose to have ground florals in a semi-curved shape to complement the surrounding beauty. The aisle was also filled with tall floral arrangements to create a dreamy and natural look to surround guests with florals. For the reception, we brought the botanical garden indoors with plenty of florals for each table. For the head table, we chose to create a simple greenery design for a natural touch and surrounded the front with plenty of tall floral arrangements.
Our couple loves food, but they especially love donuts, so they wanted to have donuts instead of their wedding cake. They had a tower of donut cake with a small special cake as the topper. The cake was made by Cake by Giraffe and looked identical to the plushy cartoon that is extra special to the groom and bride.
As part of their love for donuts, they wanted to make sure their guests had something extra sweet to bring home. We had their donut bags customized for their special day so guests could leave with some as a late night snack.
