Chapel Wedding Complete With Beautiful, Garden-Inspired Blooms and Blue Toile
Nicole desired a modern garden party-style wedding and planner Harper Mae Events carried that through with an outdoor cocktail hour with blue toile linens, beautiful pink, peach, and blue florals throughout both the ceremony and reception, a string quartet as live entertainment, and settle candlelight during dinner. It was delivering both the outdoors and being in a lovely garden and enjoying the traditions of a classic wedding all in one.
Nicole's wedding gown, carefully selected at Chantilly Bridal Studio in Oklahoma City, was a beautifully beaded gown designed by Made with Love Bridal. It was a modern fit to a "modern garden party".
The bridesmaids each selected a style of dress representing her own personal style in the most beautiful shade of blue from Azazie. It provided by the most stunning pop of color inside the chapel as they stood by as Nicole said "I do".
Cocktail hour included margaritas (refreshing indeed!), crown and cokes (a perfect detail for the groom!), and espresso martinis (oh how fun and tasty!). Guests also indulged in some light culinary treats featuring sweet chili grilled shrimp with avocado-radish slaw, whipped goat cheese and prosciutto on herbed crostini, and of course, a fan favorite, fried chicken and waffles with a sriracha honey glaze. Guests then feasted on a scrumptious combo plate of king salmon and cab top sirloin. The featured sides included mac n' cheese, roasted vegetables, and homemade rolls.
The wedding cake design is a perfect blend of classic, whimsy, and modern. Adorned with pastel garden blooms and one of the bottom tiers featuring icing work. It's flavors were strawberry, white cake, marble and chocolate. The groom himself chose red velvet for his own personal cake! Fun fact: the wedding cake sat on a lace overlay that belonged to Nicole's grandmother (1940's) and was display at both Nicole and her mother's weddings!
The bride walked down the aisle to a string version "At Last" performed by a string quartet and the couple walked right back up the aisle as husband and wife to "A Crazy Little Thing Called Love", Tulsa String Quartet did both so beautifully!
Completing the garden theme of the day, the couple departed in a 1952 Bentley MK VI.
Nicole had a custom hand-painted bottle of Veuve Cliquot champagne that matched her wedding suite, it was stunning in both flatlays and on the cake table for added decoration. At the time of the cake cutting, Nicole & Jameson decided to pop it to segway into toasts. It popped AND WENT EVERYWHERE. It was such a fun memory!
