Elevated Elegance at LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort in Naples, FL
Maggie and Cameron welcomed family and friends to Naples for their modern black-tie wedding at LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort. Guests were immersed in a world of timeless elegance, where the refined atmosphere, serene color palette, and elevated décor and furniture created a visually stunning display and an unforgettable celebration. The celebration was not just limited to the wedding day, however. In lieu of a traditional rehearsal dinner the evening before, the groom’s family hosted a Persian wedding ceremony and reception to honor Cameron’s family heritage. Ladan Golestani, an extremely talented Sofreh Aghd designer, traveled to Naples to create an exquisite Sofreh table, which was adorned with traditional and symbolic pieces, including mirrors, candelabras and various candles, fruits, almonds, homemade cookies and traditional Persian sweets, and a ceremonial cloth from Dubai. Tom Trovato’s vibrant florals accented the stunning and elaborate display. The reception dinner featured a delicious spread of authentic Persian dishes, masterfully orchestrated by the catering team at the Players Club and directed by Cameron's uncle, Michael Mir, the talented chef and owner of Bha! Bha! Persian Bistro on 5th Ave S. After dinner, world-renowned belly dancer, Jennfier Ordon, performed for guests and even got Maggie & Cam up to join her for one of her numbers. It was spectacular and such a fun surprise for guests!
Maggie's wedding gown reflected her personal style—classic and refined with an unexpected twist of fun. The classic A-line included a large, beautiful bow in the middle of her train.
Bridesmaids wore Amsale dresses in “mint” in varying floor-length designs.
The couple featured two classic "his and hers" specialty cocktails - an Aperol Spritz (hers) and a Gin and Tonic (his). The cocktails were showcased on a beautifully custom-painted watercolor sign at the bar.
Lush green and white floral arrangements adorned tables, creating a serene and sophisticated atmosphere. The talented Tom Trovato led the floral team to create a design that completely transformed the reception space while also maintaining an understated, natural, elegant feel. --BBJ LaTavola’s Sonoma Patina & Pearl Drop Snow linens beautifully accented the reception design. --For the bridal and wedding party bouquets, the inspiration was understated natural beauty. The petite, romantic bridal bouquet made with florals in white and cream tones and minimal greenery subtly enhanced Maggie's look while allowing her natural beauty to be the focus. The bridesmaids’ bouquets acted as supporting cast to Maggie’s bouquet with similar florals, but smaller in size. --White urns filled with lush, organic white and green arrangements set on pedestals flanked each side of the ceremony altar and were later repurposed to the reception space and set behind the bride and groom’s sweetheart table.
Sweetified Cakes provided a stunning, classic 4-tier white wedding cake with delicate detailing and vintage piping. Maggie and Cameron cut their cake with a vintage Tiffany and Co. cake knife, which belongs to Cameron’s parents and was used at their wedding.
Each place setting was set with green floral-patterned plates, leaf-etched glassware, and gold flatware. SBS worked with Script Me Pretty to design a tented place card that sat perfectly in the center of the plate, allowing the floral pattern to be visible. Each card was personalized with the guests’ names written in gold calligraphy on the front, and once they opened the card, the menu was revealed on the inside.
The couple chose two custom bars to welcome their guests to both the cocktail hour and the reception. For cocktail hour, Vivant Rentals provided a custom-built square bar, painted in a soothing sage green and finished with rattan detailing. The main reception bar and arched back bar walls were set in a soft sand color to compliment the other décor in the room but also serve as a contrast against the white draping. The back bar shelves displayed white ginger jars and bud vase arrangements, and the front bar panels were accented with a beautiful sage-green floral wallpaper.
The amazing design team at SBS Weddings created luxurious, relaxing lounge seating vignettes in both the cocktail hour and reception spaces. This design seamlessly integrated with the rest of the design concept, making guests feel utterly at ease while elevating the overall style of the day's decor.
