Vibrant Summer Colors and a Touch of Modernity at Hummingbird Nest Ranch
[from the bride]: We wanted an outdoor wedding with a bright, colorful, and fresh atmosphere. Our inspiration came from blending nature's beauty with vibrant colors and a touch of modernity, including features like the acrylic chuppah and string lights.
[from the bride] With a longer engagement, I waned to choose a gown that would stand the test of time. My vision was to embody timeless elegance with a modern edge, ensuring my bridal look would remain a cherished memory for years to come. I opted for an updo, complemented by a fresh and light makeup palette. For my second outfit, I chose a sparkly jumpsuit paired with Nikes, infusing that contemporary twist into the mix.
For the cocktail hour, Command Performance provided tray passed hors d'oeuvres of Tray Passed Hors d'oeuvres: Crispy artichokes, Tomato soup and grilled cheese shots, Impossible burger sliders, Ahi Tartar taco, & Kalbi Beef Skewers. It was important for Sammy & Sam to have plenty of food for the guests so they also added a Guacamole Station & Hanging Pretzel Bar - fitting for a Los Angeles fete. Sammy's specialty cocktail was a classic gin martini while Sam's was a tequila soda. For dinner, the couple served their guests a plated dinner of a Strawberry & Avocado Salad and a choice-of Short Rib, Salmon, and Quinoa stuffed peppers.
Cakes by Alexys provided a beautiful 2 tiered cake with organic brush strokes of our color palette. Desserts were very important to the couple so we made sure to include a dessert station including chocolate chip cookies, flourless chocolate cake bits, and creamy lemon bars.
