Cheerful Bright Colors Brought This Summer Wedding to Life at Nasher Sculpture Center

The Planning
Design / Vibe / Vision

Inspired by art, artists Hannah and Jack got married in the Nasher Sculpture Center. With a love for bold colors, the bride wanted a vibrant day with a classic feel. Planned by Weddings a la Carte in Dallas, the Texas wedding was a fall dream. Focusing on the natural beauty of the sculpture garden, the bride paired the day with vibrant florals, bold mother of bride and groom dresses, timeless silhouettes, with pops of pink!

Proposal Story

From the bride, "I first met Jack when I bought art from him, I commissioned him to do an Eric Clapton painting for me! We eventually got an art studio together at the goat farm in Atlanta, Georgia where we were both living at the time. The goat farm is a place with art studios in the city that has been around for many years and is historic to Atlanta. He proposed at the goat farm when we went back to visit!"

The Fashion
Wedding Gown

The bride selected a gown by Hanan’s Bridal in Atlanta, Georgia. The dress had a timeless silhouette, with a fun slit to accent the gown.

Bridesmaid Dresses
The bridesmaids matched in a sleek black halter gown from Show Me Your Mumu.

Special Detail #2

We all LOVE color! I grew up learning “pink or nothing” because my mom loved it so much/has worn pink lipstick every day my whole life! Luckily, it is Jack's mom’s favorite color too. I really wanted them in bright colors and they ended up complimenting each other so well. I also loved how they matched the invitations so perfectly!” said the bride.

Special Detail #3

From a family friend, the groom, his father, and the bride's father were presented with a surprise party jacket! These sparkly jackets delighted guests, and of course - the groom's jacket was a shade of pink to compliment the bride!
