A Touch of Tropics and a Dose of Summer at Cheeca Lodge & Spa
The Planning
Design / Vibe / Vision
While our couple wanted to preserve the classic aesthetic of a "white wedding," we were tasked with incorporating vibrant tropical greenery, from the chuppah through the reception centerpieces. Our tablescape featured the same elements, with tropical touches throughout, including color incorporated through chargers, bright, tropical napkins, and other details incorporated throughout the reception space.

The Details
Food & Drink
Guests were treated to cocktail hour featuring steel drum musicians and passed appetizers, with signature his and hers cocktails, before heading into the Islamorada Ballroom for one of the venue's multi-course, plated dinners and an evening of dancing.
Florals & Decor
Florals started with an elevanted, monochromatic, loose globe bouquet for the bride, with hydrangea, roses orchids, ranunculus, and similar stems, and a coordinating phalaenopsis boutonniere for the groom. The tropical chuppah arch was designed to be taken apart for a quick flip to line the band stage in the ballroom, bringing dual use to these florals. Centerpieces included high/low arrangements with tropical greenery and white floral, as well as candlelight, bringing visual interest to the bright and airy reception space.
Wedding Cake
Cheeca Lodge provided the multi-tier wedding cake, which joined the venue's dessert spread, including mini flans and mini Key Lime tarts.
Special Detail #1
The seating chart was made of miniature bottles of mixed, tropical cocktails, which corresponded with the table numbers.
