Peach & Lavender Hues Blended Together to Create a Southern Wedding Sweeter Than Sweet Tea
The Planning
Design / Vibe / Vision
Alexis and Stephen knew they wanted to create an elegant, soft, and refined space, with a focus on fresh florals and a delicate color palette to give their guests a garden party experience. The florals, centerpieces, colors, and tapered candles came together wonderfully to create an inviting ambiance for the evening.

The Fashion
Wedding Gown
Alexis chose a classic Swiss dot fabric Anne Barge gown with a ruched bodice and full circle skirt. Perfect for a summer wedding.
Bridesmaid Dresses
The bridesmaids wore minty green dresses that complemented the summer greens of Merrimon Wynne.

The Details
Food & Drink
The signature cocktail of the evening was The Reagan. Named after the couple's beloved pup, The Reagan was a classic Paloma with a salted rim and grapefruit garnish. Guests were served a plated dinner and later enjoyed a delivery of Krispy Kreme donuts during dancing.
Florals & Decor
Alexis and Libby with Details Wedding Planning chose a soft color palette for the day, that was highlighted throughout the florals and small details of the day, like the bows on the place settings and lavender candles on each table. Traditional and elegant, yet inviting.
Wedding Cake
The wedding cake was a nod to Alexis's dress. The Swiss dot design and the dainty ribbon (like the one around the waist of her dress) tied into theme perfectly.
Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs
Clouds and and iffy forecast threatened the day with rain, going back and forth between overcast and sunshine. Not one drop of rain fell until cocktail hour, so the couple was able to (very luckily) stay dry all day.
Special Detail #1
To make guests feel like they had arrived to a garden party, they were greeted by a water and sweet tea station at the ceremony space, along with parasols to shield from the sun and the ceremony space was lined with large umbrellas, and of course florals. A lovely southern welcome.
