A Backyard Wedding in LA With Hollywood Regency Style
The Planning
Design / Vibe / Vision
Kate and Chris' vision was to have an elegant home wedding with a whimsical, floral-heavy design and accents that reminded them of Hollywood regency. Their beautiful family home was the perfect backdrop for this wedding - the ceremony florals arched over the adorable blue door, and then spilled down the front steps and onto the brick path. A large tree graced the space, provided shade to keep guests comfortable during the ceremony. A curving brick pathway leading to the front door made for a perfect floral aisle! Finally, the backyard of this home took on a complete transformation. Where there was once a backyard pool, guests were surprised to find a beautiful clear-top tent. A floor was constructed over the pool, and entire backyard to provide ample space to seat Kate and Chris' beloved guests.

The Details
Food & Drink
Tres LA Group served up crafted cocktails, a lavish cheese and charcuterie station, and a delicious plated dinner. There were also tray passed late night snacks and a wood fired pizza station.
Florals & Decor
For this floral-forward design, Tyler Speier Events designed a ceremony that overflowed with white roses, hydrangea, and delphinium. The long, curvy aisle was lushly lined with tall white florals and a hint of blue. The flowers were constructed to "grow" from the ground, up the front porch, and arching over the front door, framing the family home's beautiful architecture.
Wedding Cake
Instead of a traditional wedding cake, Kate & Chris opted to serve Tres LA Group's signature Icebox shots. Guests had the delectable options of either a Vanilla Panna Cotta with Seasonal Berry Preserves, or Chocolate Pot de Creme with Whipped Cream.
Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs
Kate and Chris kept the energy high, walking in for their grand entrance to "Lovely Day" by Bill Withers, then giving a heartfelt thank you speech before dinner.
Special Detail #1
Chris, the groom, is a big fan of Formula 1 racing. Little details were sprinkled throughout the wedding that alluded to this. West Coast Music played the Formula 1 Theme Song for his processional! It was so unique and fun. Also, the escort cards had custom watercolored Formula 1 race cars, as did the table numbers.
Special Detail #2
After the traditional dances, Kate changed out of her beautiful gown into a second bridal look, something more comfortable for dancing late into the night!
