A Ballroom Transformed Into a Lush Garden Wedding at Ritz Carlton of Dallas, Las Colinas

The Planning
Design / Vibe / Vision

Imagine stepping into a grand ballroom transformed into a lush garden wedding, where romance and nature intertwine seamlessly. The dance floor arbor is draped with fresh greenery and lush blooms—creating an ethereal canopy that bathes the room in a warm, romantic glow. The tables are set with fine linens in soft, muted tones that echo the natural palette of the garden. Centerpieces feature a mix of low, overflowing arrangements, paired with clusters of candles in varying heights.

Proposal Story
I went on vacation with my family to Ireland, and Matthew was still working in Houston He picked me up from the airport and when we got to my apartment, it was all decorated with lights and roses everywhere. He proposed, and then friends came over to take pictures!
The Fashion
Wedding Gown
My dress is from Lovely Bride and is designed by Rita Vinieris. The fabric has a special shimmer woven into it that makes it stand out.
Bridesmaid Dresses
Bridesmaid dresses are from The Dessy Group. I wanted the length and neckline to match the formal feel of the wedding and fit well with my dress in pictures.
The Details
Food & Drink
Lizzy and Mathew's guests were served a three course meal including Herb Crusted Filet Mignon, Au Gratin Potato, Grilled Asparagus brushed with Butter & Port Wine Sauce. Family and friends enjoyed refreshing mocktails such as, Sparkling Rosemary Lemonade throughout the evening. The last night snack included a Parisian Crepes Station. They were artfully crafted by the Pastry Chefs and finished with your choice of toppings.
Florals & Decor
The Indoor reception was an ode to spring. Guest tables varied in design between tall branch arrangements with fresh greenery and dotted with florals arranged naturally throughout; lush florals garlands with peony, garden roses, ranunculus, lilac, sweet pea, larkspur and campanula. For the dance floor we designed 2 oversized garden arches which crossed in the center to create a canopy of green. Florals designed at the bottom which appear to grow up the structure and mimic nature’s garden.
Wedding Cake
The wedding cake was 4 round tiers of strawberry cake with amaretto and toffee crunch filling. The tiers were smooth with satin ribbon at the base of each layer. The cake pedestal was a lush floral halo and had two cascades wrapping around the tiers. It was almost too pretty to eat!
Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs
The bride and groom held a private ceremony with close family and friends at their family church. No outside vendors were included.
Special Detail #1
I loved the flowers! Every table piece was gorgeous, and my bouquet had some champagne roses and fringed white tulips that added dimension and felt unique.
Special Detail #2
We were one of the very first weddings in the newly renovated Ritz Carlton, Dallas at Las Colinas! It was exciting to be in a new space!
