An Elegant Tented Wedding in Iowa

Julianah & Tyler brought southern country club design to the Midwest. They were the first couple to get married on their Grandpa's golf course that is now The Clubhouse at Talons. From the abundance of blue and white hydrangeas, to the hand-passed mini margaritas on a beautiful Saturday in June, Julianah and Tyler’s special day was nothing short of their ‘southern country club’ vision. Traditional design elements mixed with custom details was the perfect recipe to make their dreamy day come to life, all with the incredible talent of White Willow Events, a planning, event design and rental company located in Iowa.

After having been together for nearly a decade, Tyler knew that if there was any time to go big, his proposal to Julianah was it. Coordinated and designed by White Willow Events, Tyler’s proposal was a dream come true in every which way. A path of rose petals and candles that led Julianah to her soon-to-be fiancé standing in front of a custom “Will you marry me?” sign was just about as close to perfect as you can get.

The bride flew to Berta in New York with her mom, sister, and grandma to find her dress...and she found two! Her second Berta dress was PERFECT for dancing and even DJ'ing . A highlight of the night was for sure when she got up to DJ, and other family / friends joined them to dance on stage, too! SUCH a party!

Cocktail hour consisted of several crafted cocktails to start off the evening. From mini margaritas to lemon drop martinis, the Clubhouse made the perfect recipe of drinks to keep guests entertained with what was coming out next! Moving on to the main dish, the three course meal was curated around some of their favorite foods. From a summer salad to a pasta course in between - Barattas did a wonderful job executing the perfect dish.

Designed and executed by White Willow Events and Boesen the Florist, Julianah’s vision came to life with fresh floral arches, chandeliers, drink walls and even hand calligraphed hummingbirds with each guest's name.

Each sugar flower was handcrafted by Naomi with Cache Bake Shoppe. The large cake was nothing short but spectacular!
