A Mediterranean-Inspired Wedding in Central Texas Bursting With Color

The Planning
Design / Vibe / Vision
Having already picked the Mediterranean for their honeymoon destination, Ali and Jay found inspiration in the region's warm colors and bright florals as they planned their wedding.
Proposal Story
After recently moving to the Big Apple, Ali was browsing Hinge when she came across Jay. He sent her a cute note about her dachshund, Bentley, before a smooth segue into discussing her NYC bucket list (and offering to help her check off some to-dos!). Ali agreed, meeting Jay for a first date at an Italian restaurant in their neighborhood. After closing down the restaurant with a five-hour conversation, the rest is history! Jay popped the question a year later during a sunrise walk while on vacation in Costa Rica. After Ali’s enthusiastic “yes,” the pair celebrated their new engagement with a photoshoot and a private breakfast on the beach.
The Fashion
Wedding Gown
Ali arrived in a corset-style gown with 3D floral details, playing into the flower-forward design of the day.
The Details
Food & Drink
While the newlyweds shared private vows after the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktail hour on the patio with plush lounge areas and a custom floral-print bar serving margaritas and mules. As the sun went down, guests were treated to a gelato cart and an Italian coffee cart as a nod to Ali and Jay’s Mediterranean honeymoon.
Florals & Decor
Set in front of the glass and stone façade of the greenhouse, the ceremony site burst with pink roses lining the aisle and trailing up an arch at the altar. Escort cards were arranged on a wall with flowers in bud vases for guests to take home. Inside the reception tent, greenery twined up poles and rained overhead with boho-style rattan chandeliers. Flowers in every shade of pink filled the tables, where place settings paired sage green napkins and gold-rimmed glass chargers for a clean and elegant look.
Wedding Cake
The couple's three-tier wedding cake featured impressionist-style icing art and sat in a meadow of flowers throughout the reception.
Special Detail #1
Bentley brought the rings down the aisle, then returned for a sweet father-”dogter” dance with Jay!
Special Detail #2
Throughout the evening, watercolor artists created sketches for guests to take home as favors.
Special Detail #3
And when it came time to leave, the newlyweds made their grand exit in—what else?—a vintage Bentley.
