Modern Yet Ageless Design at This New England Summer Wedding
The Planning
Design / Vibe / Vision
Mia and Jeff approached their wedding with effortless poise. When considering the overall aesthetic of their day, Mia and Jeff wanted their celebration to be modern yet ageless. They knew that they desired a more relaxed vibe but wanted to maintain a refined overall style.
Proposal Story
Jeff proposed to Mia on Christmas Eve. They spent the afternoon with Jeff's family to have dinner. Following the meal, Jeff wanted to open gifts. He presented Mia with a small box and immediately became visibly nervous. She asked him if he was okay even though she knew what was going to come next. Shortly thereafter, Jeff was on one knee and asked Mia to marry him.

The Fashion
Wedding Gown
Keeping in fashion with her overall ambience, Mia selected a simple yet stunning square neck wedding gown designed by Made With Love with hand beaded detailing throughout. Prior to her bridal appointment at VOWS Bridal in Watertown, Massachusetts, Mia went to the shop's website and scrolled through the dresses. It was love at first sight. She adored the beading on it and how it was simple but with a bit of a wow factor.
Groomsman Attire
Jeff wanted something timeless so he chose a classic black suit by Suit Supply. He wanted something that gave the essence of formal and sophisticated.

The Details
Food & Drink
Mia and Jeff had three signature cocktails all lovingly named after their pets. Their cats had two signature cocktails-- the "Cal Collins" was a vodka, lemon juice, simple syrup with club soda and the "Jordy Mule" was a vodka, ginger beer and lime juice cocktail. They also had a rum and coke called "Joe and Coke" named after their dog Joey. For dessert, the couple had a scrumptious donut bar that guests did not hesitate to enjoy!
Florals & Decor
The florals from Yanique Events brought Mia and Jeff's vision together perfectly. The white roses, white hydrangea and plush greenery really tied in all the other classic and timeless elements of their day. Mia's bouquet was a beautiful arrangement of white roses and the ceremony arch was adorned with matching blossoms and greenery on each side of the arch, as well as boxed white floral bouquets lining the top and bottom of the aisle. Clean, modern floral designs continued into the reception. Each table consisted of raised, semi structured white floral displays surrounded by romantic bud vases and votive candles.
Wedding Cake
Mia and Jeff opted for a simple, single tier vanilla cake by Cake Monstah. It was decorated with white roses and a topper reflecting their married name, The Stoddard's.
Special Detail #1
Mia and Jeff were accompanied by their dog, Joey, who wore his very own tux! Joey was originally from El Paso and was a rescue from MSPCA. They adopted him a year and a half ago and he will be 3 in November. He is mixed breed consisting of mostly Chow Chow and Pit.
