Epic Amalfi Coast Wedding with Whimsical Elegance at Villa Oliviero

As for the rest of the decor, we wanted to play off of our palette and choose decor that was classic, elegant, and whimsical. We opted for white flowers with greenery, a special bouquet of purple flowers to honor my mom’s favorite color, classic white chairs and linens, gold and silver chandeliers and fairy lights.

Adam proposed in October 2019 after over 4 years of dating. He decided to propose in Disneyland, a special place to us as a couple since we officially started dating after reconnecting on a trip with our families there in July of 2015. Disneyland was also a special place to my family and me as it was one of my mom’s all-time favorite places and we would go every year as a family before she passed away in February of 2010. Adam planned the most special proposal in front of the Wishing Well, one of the last places I have pictures with my mom during a trip to Disneyland for my 16th birthday, a few months before she passed. He wanted to make sure she was there to celebrate our proposal, and he also surprised me with members of my family that I didn’t know would be there to witness our proposal. It was so special and just like Adam to go above and beyond to honor my mom’s memory in such an intentional way, and ensure that she was there with us and very much a part of a pivotal moment in our lives.

A play on main Italian ingredients, our seating chart was made on wooden pizza boards with our guest’s names on them, surrounded by tomatoes, garlic, and peppers. Alessandra’s team executed each detail perfectly.

The floral arrangements complemented the natural beauty of Villa Oliviero’s terrace, chosen for their elegance and simplicity, and paired with lush green foliage to create a timeless, romantic atmosphere. The stunning ceiling installation of white delphiniums cascaded white florals for a dreamy, ethereal look that transformed the dinner area into a magical space.

The cake was adorned with greenery, keeping with the white and green palette of the wedding.

A nod to their shared love for Disney was subtly woven throughout the event, with carefully placed quotes from Disney movies. These small but meaningful details added a personal and nostalgic touch without overpowering the sophisticated style of the wedding.

The wedding was officiated by one of the bride's best friend's father.

Being able to look around multiple times throughout the day and see our friends and family all together in such a special place, knowing they all traveled from different parts of the United States just to celebrate our love was a feeling so special, we can’t put into words.
