A Trendy, Neutral-Toned Destination Wedding at Esperanza in Cabo San Lucas
The Planning
Design / Vibe / Vision
Kate and Alex's luxe Cabo San Lucas wedding was all about embracing the beauty of the setting while adding a modern, trendy touch, creating the dreamiest neutral-toned destination wedding aesthetic.
Proposal Story
One Sunday morning after we had attended a family friend's wedding, Alex told me that we'd be going to brunch in Malibu with his family, but that we'd be stopping by a friend's house first. I was immediately suspicious but went along with the plan. Both very nervous, we walked into a beachfront home in Malibu which had a big deck on the beach, overlooking the ocean. As we walked in, Alex nervously blurted out, "We're not actually seeing friends, I'm proposing to you." From there he gave a beautiful speech about how much he loved me and how he wanted to be with me forever, got down on one knee, and proposed. It was perfect. The moment was caught on camera by a photographer that Alex had hired who was hiding on the deck behind a bar, and soon after both sides of our families joined us at the house for champagne, gorgeous cheese & charcuterie boards, pictures, and celebrations before heading to brunch at one of my favorite restaurants. We spent the afternoon seeing other family members and face-timing to share the news with all of our closest friends.

Bridesmaid Dresses
Various! Bridesmaids picked out their own dresses according to a color scheme that I selected. I wanted them to feel beautiful and wear something they loved and chose themselves, versus begin asked to all wear something that I chose. I did ask for "veto rights" but never had to say no! Each of my friends picked their own beautiful dresses and the they all came together perfectly.
