From the bride: Our wedding was incredibly special because it marked the culmination of seven wonderful years together. It was the first time all the people who’ve meant so much to us throughout our lives were gathered in one room. That alone made it one of the best nights of our lives. The overwhelming love from everyone there is something we’ll cherish forever. The night was not just a celebration of us but a celebration of all the relationships that have shaped who we are as a couple.

We wanted to celebrate Amelia Island’s local cuisine for our wedding menu since most of our guests were not from the area. Given the area’s strong shrimping industry, the entree included shrimp and grits alongside short ribs for a true Southern flair. To cap off the night, we surprised our guests with a late-night treat from Chick-fil-A, which was a big hit and added a playful touch to our reception. That was the highlight of the night and our guests still bring it up to us!

Floral design was important to the couple and vendor team in creating an elegant look that flawlessly transformed a rustic venue into an elevated atmosphere—with dripping roses and greenery from the ceiling and chandeliers, mixed with sophisticated draping. cascading from the wooden beams, the space was highlighted with its beauty while taken to the next level. Specifically, White blooms were the focus- with a variety of Roses and Garden Roses, Lisianthus, and Ranunculus incorporated with garden-style greenery.

Who said anything about ONE cake?! The couple had an assortment of beautiful cakes! lemon, white chocolate raspberry, and traditional wedding cakes

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]Family played a very special part in the entire wedding and the couple wanted them to have special focus. Interestingly, the couple’s story can be dated back from before they were even born, as the bride and groom’s grandparents had actually met years before they were brought into the world, and they didn’t realize the connection until after they were dating!

Family

Especially important was that with the groom being from Puerto Rico, much of his family flew in for the wedding.

The bride’s father car was the special getaway vehicle, adorned with homemade painted cans that harken back to traditions of the past. [/field]

We thought the oyster shells with people’s names on them were a nice personal touch that our guests could bring home with them and remind them of the coastal feel of Amelia Island.

The couple’s love for Chick-fil-A (who could blame them?!) showed up for the late-night snack for everyone to enjoy. Of course, the couple couldn’t help but indulge in their favorite sandwich on the dance floor!
