Embracing the Natural Beauty of Mallorca at Son Marroig

The Planning
Design / Vibe / Vision
The wedding style was classic, elegant, dreamy, and sophisticated. The choice of a white ceremony with a colorful reception allowed for the best of both worlds, while the natural ambiance of Son Marroig exuded a timeless charm that needed minimal decor. Romantic flowers and lights enhanced the atmosphere, creating a spectacular environment.
Proposal Story
The proposal took place at the breathtaking Reid’s Palace Hotel in Madeira, Portugal. Even though the bride had chosen the ring, hotel, and location, the nerves were still high, creating a truly unforgettable moment. Chris, in his excitement, may not remember his exact words, but it didn't matter—it was the easiest "yes."
The Fashion
Wedding Gown
Made with Love Bridal’s designs captivated the bride immediately, and finding the collection at her local boutique, Ivory and Beau, felt like destiny. The pearl white satin gown featured a gorgeous train, high slit, and plunging neckline that brought her to tears the moment she tried it on. It was a perfect fit that made her feel like it was truly meant for her. Later, she changed into a second dress by the same designer, a satin bubble mini with a beaded corset—a piece she absolutely adored.
Bridesmaid Dresses
The bride's vision for her bridal party was simply to let everyone look and feel beautiful, and they certainly delivered. Coordinated pastel dresses not only enhanced her dress but also complemented the romantic theme perfectly.
Groomsman Attire
Without traditional groomsmen, Chris opted for a stunning blue suit that perfectly matched his eyes, allowing him to stand out. He even had a tie change, wearing a traditional blue tie for the ceremony and switching to pink flowers for the reception to add a festive touch.
The Details
Food & Drink
Fosh Catering brought a culinary experience that exceeded every expectation, from refreshing welcome lemonades and fourteen varieties of canapés to a three-course dinner, late-night snacks, fun cocktails (one even served in a bag!), and a midnight pizza truck. The dining experience was non-stop, with each bite crafted to perfection.
Florals & Decor
Fusion Deco took creative freedom to craft stunning floral arrangements that transformed the venue. With a blend of roses, ranunculuses, peonies, and more, each bloom was thoughtfully selected. White and gold accents added a modern touch that contrasted beautifully with the historic Spanish villa.
Wedding Cake
The classic white cake featured lemon and blueberry layers, surrounded by a floral garden. One tier was dedicated to a special guest in spirit: the couple’s beloved dog, Winnie, depicted as stealing a bite, a delightful nod to what she surely would have done if she had been there.
Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs
The ceremony was officiated by the bride's two younger brothers, one of whom became ordained to perform the marriage in the U.S. Their speeches added a personal and lighthearted touch, reflecting the family’s closeness. They remained by the couple’s side through the night, dancing to music by DJ Tony Alonso until the early hours, ensuring the celebration was filled with joy and laughter.
